Fix/Tip: for HTLM5 problems on iPad

After the last DPS update many people got problems with HTML contens!
One of my problems with the HTML5 was that the content jumped 1 - 3 secs into a time line, when I tested the file on my iPad. However all my HTML5 files were working perfectly at Safari, Adobe Content Viewer and had untill the last DPS update worked with no problems on my iPad.
Fix:
Make a new Single or Multi Issue with folio builder.
Under the menu "Viewer Details" set Viewer Version to "v15" (v17 is standard).
After this simple procedure all HTML5 contens is working as it should.
"Adobe Viewer" uses the Viewer Version v17 so we just have to wait for Adobe to fix this problem

Hopefully adobe is aware of the problem.

It's possible Brother may provide updates to their printers to make them AirPrint capable or provide app for printing; search the iTunes Store or look to the support resources for your model of printer. For other printers, you can route the printing through your computer. If you have a Mac, Printopia might be worth a look:

If you have a Windows system, search the web for something like "airprint Windows hack" and you'll find instructions on enabling printing.
Another option is an AirPrint-capable print server. Lantronix makes a couple of models, including one that supports a USB printer:

A tip for synching problems

Last Thursday night I put my iPhone in the dock before I went to bed and saw that it started backing-up and synching. When I got up in the morning it was still synching contacts. I watched it for a while and it never completed. I undocked the phone, put it back in and same thing, it would never complete synching contacts. I searched here and saw that some folks were have the same or similar problems. On Sunday I noticed that the synch with MobileMe was spinning and it too never completed. I could not cancel the synch from the pull down menu so I force quitted it from the Activity Viewer. I then restarted the Mac and lo the problem did not reoccur.
So if you are having a synch problem take a look at your MobileMe synch to see if that may be conflicting with the iTunes-iPhone synch.

I am working on development an enterprise application using EJB 3.0 on Weblogic 10.
While developing, I am keeping all my classes (from ejb's as well as web) into APP-INF/classes directory. It is working fine for Web and ejb 2.0 packages, but ejb 3.0 packages, I get the following error when I keep my ejb 3.0 beans classes in APP-INF/classes directory.
No EJBs found in the ejb-jar file 'customer'. Please ensure the ejb-jar contains EJB declarations via an ejb-jar.xml deployment descriptor or at least one class annotated with the @Stateless, @Stateful or @MessageDriven EJB annotation.
One solution is to keep the classes under customer ejb directory, but I wan tto keep all the classes in APP-INF/classes directory so that when using Eclipse IDE I can output all compiled sources into APP-INF/classes directory.
Has anyone faced this situation? Any suggestions to fix this issue?

Tip for login problems

I've noticed something about the login problems. If you go to the Discussions main page, look for the "Top Users" box under the "Welcome" box. If it is there, you should be able to log in. If you have no "Top Users" box, quit your browser, maybe delete your cookies, and start over.

Thanks for the tip. I noticed the missing "Top Users" box for the first time just now, and it did indeed send me to the "create account" page. I didn't have to quit Firefox, though. I cleared the cache and deleted the Apple cookies, and was able to log in. I could tell it was about to work, because the "Top Users" box had returned.

Tip for using OneDrive on iPad with Dropbox

With Office now on iPad, people are frustrated that they can't - yet - open Office docs in any cloud storage app/service but have to use OneDrive.
Well, here's what you can do: on your Mac, you can install the OneDrive folder anywhere you like. So if you already have Dropbox, just install the OneDrive folder inside Dropbox on your Mac!
Now, whenever you work on an Office doc on your iPad, it will save to OneDrive and since OneDrive is in Dropbox it will automatically be saved in Dropbox! And you can open the file again straight from Dropbox on your iPad or Mac. All syncs work perfectly - the file is saved simultaneously (apart from a bit of lag) both in OneDrive and in Dropbox.

Follow this to fix wifi for iPad

Hello all I was in this forum yesterday trying to fix the WiFi connection on my iPad. This is what I have found to fix the issue.

I followed the steps as listed by Apple and all has been good. I do know that adding the update to 3.2.2 os worked the best. I thought that I would post this here to help others. Now if this does not work I guess that you should take it in to Apple.

Just got my iPad Tuesday to assist with work, so far working out very well. When I was in the building earlier this morning I had no problems with connectivity to the wireless network - the iPad battery was in the range ~50-90% during the morning and early afternoon.
I noticed later this afternoon that when moving around to different parts of the building, connectivity was "spotty", with messages indicating that the iPad was unable to connect to a server, web-site, etc. The iPad battery was in the range ~10-20% during the late afternoon.
These connectivity messages appeared to be more frequent as the iPad battery drained lower and lower. I re-booted the wireless switch, which did not clear the problem the iPad was experiencing.
I drained the iPad battery down completely and plugged the iPad in to charge. I will see how a fully charged iPad accesses the network on Monday.

Unlikely. Based on the complete lack of detail of the issue provided it is entirely possible the same issue would occur.
Unless and until the user provides some actual details of the problem, there is nothing the indicate that the issue is with the iPhone.

I do not know if it's relevant or not, but I got a message on my ipad while on safari saying that my iPhone has a virus. I looked it up and it seems it might have just been an ad from the website I was on, but it happened around the same time YouTube stopped working.

You will find that using the YouTube app will provide a better viewing experience for YouTube videos.

It started after the major update to iOS 7.
I can't believe that this is so hard to do. It's just not letting me. I can add a bookmark to the home screen just fine, just not in a bookmarks folder anywhere I try.
I've used Apple products since 2001 and have always loved how intuitive they are. But the Safari browser since iOS 7 has been the worst I've experienced. At least right in the beginning after that update.
I'd really appreciate any help that doesn't just tell me how it's suppose to work...I know that.

Have you charged ipad Try a Reboot press & hold power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo You may need to do this more than once. Bsydd uk
