Fixed PR in MRP

Hello Friends,
In SAP book it is written that in MRP system considers firm planned order and firm purchase requisition as part of availbale stock.
Now I have a material which has VB as MRP type and reorder point is 100 and for this material there is purchase requisition of 120 (this PR is not fixed), so system should not have considered this PR since it is not fixed. But system is considering this PR and does not create furthermore PR in MRP run.
Can you please explain?
Thanks
PL

In SAP book it is written that in MRP system considers firm planned order and
firm purchase requisition as part of available stock.
if you run a MRP" with delete and recreate   in planning mode, system won't delete the The PR which have fixed id ( system will take the fixed receipt as part of available stock, so system won;t create any New PR
purchase requisition of 120 (this PR is not fixed), so system should not have considered this PR since it is not fixed. But system is considering this PR and does not create furthermore PR in MRP run.
If you run MRP with delete and recreate in planning mode, system will delete the unfirmed PR and recreate a New one

  • Problem when creating planned order with MRP run

    Hello,
I create a material with a fix reorder point, MRP type VB. When I run MRP with MD03 on this material I have several problems :
    - planned order is created with an opening date in the past, so I have error 'Opening date in the past' in MD04. How can I generate a planned order with opening date not in the past
    - when changing manually opening date, after running again MD03, I have error 'No BOM selected'. Material is configurable, has a text BOM, a routing and a configuration profile. What is the problem? When modifying planned order, I have message :
    Material requires configuration
    Message no. 61259
    Diagnosis
Orders and requirements for a configurable material must have characteristic values.
Usually, you should create a variation for configurable materials managed in inventory management which has the default variant configuration.
    System Response
MRP: Requirements without characteristic values for a material cannot be planned in MRP.
    Procedure
    Check requirements or orders.
Create a configuration evaluation for the material in the material master record if necessary.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
I am facing the problem. Could you please tell me if you have resolved the above problem? If yes, Could you please provide me as how you resolved? Thanks in advance.

  • Fixed Lot Size and Assemby Scrap

    Hi Gurus,
I've an issue using a Material with Fixed Lot Size (MRP View) and Assembly Scrap.
The system doesn't increase the base quantiy (creating a Process Order) with the Assembly Scrap defined in the Material Master, if you change manually the quantity in the COR2 quantiy will be recalculated correctly.
    Anybody can help me?
    Thanks

    dear marco,
One changes in my earlier post
IF fixed lot size is 1000, and  assemby scrap as 10 %
if the pir is for 900
after running MRP system will create a plan order for 1000
In MD04 , you can see the receipt reqmt as 900 and scrap as 100
i.e System will allocate the scrap with in the fixed lot size
Once the plan  order is converted in to process order you can see
the total qty as 1000 and scrap 100
for other lot size system will add the PIR reqmt +assembly scrap %,
Yes you can change the qty in COr2, system will update as per the scrap qty , i.e system will allocate the qty for scrap
for ex , if you are changing the  total qty as 10000, system will propose 1000 as scrap,
when you save the order and see the mD04
you can see the receipt/ reqmt qty as 9000 and scrap as 1000
i.e system will allocate the 1000 qty from total qty
Hope you are clear how the fixed lot size is working for assembly scrap

  • Are Procurement Contracts MRP relevant ???

    Hi All,
This may seem like a very novice question but I could not find any detail pertaining to this on the net.
    1. Are Procurement Contracts MRP relevant ? If so what are the settings required.
    2. Whats the use of creating a procurement contract with reference to a Purchase Requisition ??
    Regards,
    Imran

    Hi
I hope you are referring to contract & not scheduling agreement.
If you have contract assigned in source list with fixed source checked & MRP indicator as MRP relevant, MRP would generate the PR with contract as source of supply.
Then you should have job running to conver the PR to PO for transaction ME59N with variant having "Contract" checkbox ticked.
This would ensure that PO is released against contract for the generated PR.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanx

  • Contract number is not being picked during MRP run

    Hi,
I have a contract with vendor as V1.
This contract is MRP revelant with source list maintained with MRP revelant.
Source list maintained with vendor V1, contract and with fixed indicator and with MRP relevant indicator set.
    Step 1
Now I am executing MRP, system is creating PR with contract vendor V1 as source of supply is V1 in source list.
    This step is OK.
    Step 2
After this I am maintaining sub contracting vendor V2 in contract.
Again I am executing MRP run, system is creating PR, but the PR is not picking the contract details.
I am expecting this PR, which supposed to be created in this Step 2 should have vendor V2 as source of supply.
    Am I correct?
Note: Source list is still having vendor as V1, same contract number, with fixed indicator and MRP relevent option set.
Any input if process is OK or if some thing wrong is apprecited,
    Thanks
    Dipak

    Hi,
    Ok.
I am following this  way -
In ME32K, there is a delivery address button available is transaction tool bar, there I am maintaining the subtracting vendor number and enabling the SC vendor check option so that this vendor flows to PR which gets created during MRP run and comes to PR delivery address tab i.e., in vendor field as subcontracting vendor with SC vendor check option selected.
    Am I correct ?
    Thanks

  • Schedule Line(Delivery Schedule) generation stopped

    Dear Experts,
We are using Scheduling Agreeements to procure materials from Vendor. We are using MRP(type PD) to generate our requirements. We have noticed that ,for a Schedule Agreement- MRP generates Delivery Schedules accordingly, but if user will try to interven the process by entering a manual schedule line with some quantity, and Fix Indicator is getting fixed, after that MRP is not able to generate Schedule Lines, henceforth.
We had done the same things earlier, but MRP was able to generate Schedule Lines even after manual intervention by user.We have not maintained Fix indicator in Source List also and the particular material and the Agreement both have been marked as MRP relevant against that Vendor in Source List.
If we will remove the open delivery schedules having Fix indicator fixed ,after that we run MRP,then the Schedule Lines are getting generated, but for those Schedule Lines(Manual or thorough MRP) having Fixed Indicator fixed and have GRN transaction completed,we would not be able to delete those and also MRP will not be able to generate Delivery Schedules. Please advice what is the reason behind this and share the full concept of Fixed Indicator against the same?
    Regards,
    Soumick

It looks we encountered very similar problem, one item line in our Scheduling Agreeements can't be driven by MRP MD02/MD41,but if we add another same line item under this SA, this new line can be driven by MD02,and generated delivery schedule line.
I don't know why. Please give me some light! Thanks!

  • Scheduling Agreement Schedule Lines firmed after outbound delivery

    Dear All,
We use scheduling agreement for cross-company process in our client.  After MRP run schedule lines created automatically. For the next step outbound delivery is created via VL10F (or VL10B).
After outbound delivery creation, on MD04 or ME39, i see the schedule line firmed (*). Because firmig MRP doesn't change those schedule lines. This is a problem for our client.
Do you know a way for MRP can change the schedule lines even outbound delivery created ? How can i manage this situation ?
    Best regards,

    Hi Anil
The '*' that you see means that the schedule line has been changed manually and the Firming indicator (EKET-FIXKZ) is set when there is any change to the Schedule line.
So, when a Delivery is created, the schedule line should be 'Fixed'.
Otheriwse, MRP can delete or change this schedule line and it would cause an inconsistency in the system. This is the logically intended behaviour.
Please see the F1 help for the field EKET-FIXKZ:
    "Schedule Line is "Fixed"
Fixes the schedule line and determines that it cannot now be automatically changed as a result of materials planning and control/MRP activities.
    Procedure
The indicator is set automatically if:
.- You make manual changes to a line of a scheduling agreement delivery schedule that was created via the materials planning process
.- You create a schedule line manually
    Dependencies
You can specify whether Materials Planning/MRP can change delivery schedule lines within the firm and trade-off zones in the additional data for the scheduling agreement item."
    I hope this helps.

  • Reg: automatic PR to PO creation

    Hi Guru,
i have created the PR Manually.  by using this PR , i  trying to convert the PR to PO with the help of ME59N T.code. while converting the PR to PO, the system gives the error like No suitable purchase requisitions found. please help me out to rectify this error.
Please give me the valid information on this issue.
    Thanks
    siva

    1. For Auto PO , yo should proceed as follows:
Auto P.O.: In MMR & Vendor Master Record - checked(MM02/XK02)
Maintain Source List & select the indicator for source list record as MRP relevent.(ME01)
If more than one source list records are generated, make one of  them as fixed.
Run MRP , the PR's generated will be preassigned with the source of supply.(MD01)
Enter T Code ME59 for automatically creating PO's from PR's.
2.* Check if the assigned Source in PR is not fixed in Source List.
Check if the info record for source not assigned,  is having valid conditions.
    Regards,
    Ashok

  • Source list vendor

    Hi SAP Gurus,
We have a problem with soruce list. In the source list there are two vendors maintained and one of them is marlked as fixed vendor, with MRP relevent 1 in the source list. we have two inforecords for the material from two different vendors. one of them is cheaper and that is why we marked this vendor as the fixed vendor in source list. Now when we run the MRP in MD04, the req gets generated but it does not pick either vendor from those two vendors. Why is it happening like this? Is there anything wrong? PLease let me know
    Thanks
    Anusha

In MD04 show nº planning order or PO and  if the qty is same for tha requirement qty.
Plase check your parameter MRP t-code MD41  in the fielde Planning mode:
    Planning mode
Defines how procurement proposals from the last planning run are to be dealt with:
The system reactivates unfirmed procurement proposals and, if necessary, adapts the quantity and date to the new planning situation. The BOM is re-exploded only for procurement proposals that are to be adapted.
The system reactivates unfirmed procurement proposals and, if necessary, adapts the quantity and date to the new planning situation. The BOM is always re-exploded.
The system regenerates unfirmed procurement proposals completely.
Check too...your date last run MRP in MD06...this material is new or old?? if you already checked in ME03 ( Vendor List) , MEQ3 ( Quota) and Validity... the problem can be in the parameter of the MRP

  • Automatic conversion of Preq into PO

    Hi All,
Instead of having an MRP planner checking each p.req and to convert them manually in a PO, is there any possibility to an automatic process where, based on the vendor lead time, the p.req is automatically converted in a PO, released and sent to the Vendor?
    Thanks,
    Seshadri

    Hi
There is a process of automatic PO generation against the PR.
Following pre-requisites need to be ensured for this functionality to run successfully:
    1. Mark Auto PO checkbox in material master
    2. Mark auto PO checkbox in vendor master
    3. Maintain info records or scheduling agreements
    4. Maintain source list with fix vendor indicator & MRP relevant indicator.
Schedule a background job for program RM06BB30 (Transaction ME59N) to run after the MRP run.
I would suggest not to set-up the release startegy for MRP generated PR & PO thereof.
Set-up an output type in PO with transmission medium 5 (External Send).
    I hope this helps you.

  • One PR for all raw materials

    Hi,
Is it possible that after MRP run we get only one Purchse requisition for all the raw materials.
    I will try to explain
Suppose we have a finished product F1 and R1 , R2 and R3 are three raw materials required to produce F1.
Now in a normal case when we take MRP run for F1 we get three PRs for R1, R2 and R3.
But is it possible to get only one PR which will contain R1, R2 and R3 as line items (As we have in Purchase Orders) in it.
    Regards
    Abhi

    Abhi,
At PR level it is not possible, but the workaround is that you can use the automatic PO using PR transaction (ME59N) to consolidate multiple PR into a single PO. There are certain prerequisites to be met for this,
    1. Vendor should be defined for Automatic PO, Materail Master Purchase view Auto PO to be activated.
    2. Inforecord for the material.
    3. Source list with fixed vendor and MRP relevant indicator needs to be maintained.
with the above set of defination after MRP run Vendor gets assigned automatically to PR and you can use transaction "ME59N" to consolidate multiple PR's to a single PO.
You can also run program "RM06BB30" to create PO's in background based on the selection critera given in the intial screen....
I hope this would satisfy your need....Reward your points and close the thread,
    Regards,
    Prasobh

  • Source list without info record

    Dear.
Can I create a source list (ME01 trx.) without the info record ?
    Thanks.

In what system are you? still in SAP ECC6 or in an earlier release?
How do you maintain the source list, copying or manual entry?
is your source just an external vendor, or is it a vendor with plant assignment, or do you just enter a plant number as source?
Can it be that you set the indicator for fixed source or MRP relevant? in this case you have to have an info record, as a source assignment will be done from MRP run and can be used for auto PO creation.

  • Spliiting of planned order in REM

    Hi all experts,
I want to split planned order created in REM into 2 separate planned order with different material code.
    Can someone help on this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Milind

    Dear Milind,
Few things are confusing, like why's the user splitting the quantity as 70:30 for that HALB?
Again 70% material is a different HALB and the other 30 % is a different HALB.
Is that combination 70:30 is fixed or it's a variable one?
Exactly at which stage this combination is decided by the user?If you are saying interface is it a
customized Transaction? If so make sure when the planned order get's firmed because it may lead a
confusion at the time of MRP run.
Creation of 2 planned order from that firmed planned order is possible, but I dont know whether it can be
made with 2 different part Codes. But it's possible through customized reports and not in standard SAP.
Try using 2 Quota Arrangement say by creating 2 production versions 0001 & 0002 and assign the % of
quota's (but this will work only if the combination is fixed). After taking MRP run you will get directly 2
planned order's one for PV1 & the other for PV2.check whether this can help you.
