FIXED PROBLEM! Uploading flash to web

I have created a flash banner. When I preview the file I can
see it on my computer. but when I upload it to the web I do not see
the movie. Am I missing a step. If I upload the .html flash created
it works but I can't get the code right inserting it to my page. I
am on a MAC if that matters.

Are you running the latest version of iPhoto, 7.0.2? Additionally, do you have any quote marks, tildes (~) or other non standard characters in the gallery name or file names?

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Encore CS4 problem uploading flash streams to remote ftp in build

I'm working on a windows XP and trying to upload to my my remote server which has a new install of the Adobe Flash Streaming Media Server 3.5
as for Encore
under build when creating a streaming flash I can't log into my ftp site, only to local folder.
I created a link to my ftp site under networks, when trying to link to this FTP Encore won't accept it.
no problem creating flash progressive downloads but impossible to upload the streaming version.
progressive is really not the desired output.
how can I log onto the ftp site?

If FTP still doesnt work for you, please try uploading videos to FTP server without using Encore (try windows FTP or a FTP client). If you cannot upload videos anyway, the problem could be with FTP server configuration.
Following are the steps to setup your streaming server. (Steps are for Microsoft IIS FTP server on WinXP. You can use another server also)
1. You have to install a Flash Media Server 3.5 and a FTP server for this. FMS 3.5 free developer edition can be downloaded from www.adobe.com
2. Install IIS on winXP from Add/Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components (You may need a windowsXP installation DVD)
3. Configure FTP server to point to "\Flash Media Server 3\applications\vod\media" folder
(FTP server can be configured from IIS window in Control Panel > Administrative Tools> IIS. Right click Default FTP site > Properties > Home Directory Tab > Set Local Path to "FMS3\applications\vod\media\media" folder)
4. Encore streaming script for the server will still point to "\Flash Media Server 3\applications\vod" and not to Media folder inside Vod. (For example, if FMS server name is amgupta, FLV streaming location will be "rtmp://{FMServerName}/vod/"
5. Encore streaming script should be updated at 2 places with the new server names. ("rtmp://FMSservername/vod/flv:" and ftp://FTPservername ). The script is located at "X\Adobe Encore CS4\Required\flashExportScript\localFMS.jsx" where X is the install location of Encore CS4)
Hope this works.

Problem uploading Flash in DW cs3

This Flash site previews well in DW, but stays blank after upload. It played fine online in a previous version, can anyone tell what's wrong by the code? (Looks like its cut off at the bottom, the site is doghouselords.com. Thanks in advance):

I have the same problem. The folder "scripts" solved it the first time.
But now I have created a second page for the same site with a Flash slideshow (done with SlideShowPro). I tried everything I can think of but the Flash slideshow doesn't appear on the uploaded site. It does very well locally, but once uploaded, nothing happens. The "Scripts" folder is in place, the "_notes" folders are in place in each folder (the main one and each of the Flash folders).

Problem uploading Flash in HTML in windows

Apologies if this has been uploaded before but i cannot seem
to find the solution. I've designed a Flash site and converted it
to a html document under 'publish settings' (i've done this in the
past many times) but when uploaded to my server it does not load.
Even if i send it as a attached document with an email it doesn't
load. Any help would be much appreciated.

Does it work on your machine before uploading it to the
server?
It is worth checking on your web server that the swf file is
relative to the html in the same way as it is on your local
machine. i.e. if the swf and html file are in the same folder on
your local machine, make sure that they are on the web
server.

Problems uploading Flash website

I'm trying to upload my Flash website. I inserted my index.fla file in Dreamweaver and saved it as an html. I then uploaded the html on the FTP and now the website is showing up blank. Where did I go wrong?

Make sure you embed your swf on your html page and upload both. The fla (original Adobe Flash file) don't need to be uploaded on your server. To upload your html page, you can use Dreamweaver buit-in FTP or your favorite one. Make sure your target audience has the right flash player or your animation won't play.

I am having a problem uploading .jpg images to my web site.

Hello, I am having a problem uploading .jpg images to my web site hosted on Go Daddy.
I am using DW CS5 and have been using DW to upload files for 2 years with no problems until yesterday. The file uploads but only the text is there. The .jpg image is a box with an X in it.
I checked the server and there are no images being uploaded with the files. I went to Go Daddy's FTP file manager website and was able to load the files with the .jpg and that method worked fine. As far as I know, nothings changed on my computer. I use Win 7 with an ethernet cable (no wifi) and have never had a problem until yesterday.
Any suggestions?

Problem with Uploading files in Web applications with the iPad

Hello,
I have a question. How can I upload a word file in the gmx-Mailserver with my IPad? I can only find the picture library. In this library i cannot upload a word-file or other files-types. I use Safari. The same problem exists by other web applications.

I think I just did something wrong myself. I was finally able to upload the file. However, I wrote the following procedure in my package but wasn't able to download the file from the report. Do I need to grant any privilege from the system user?
Also, does anyone know how to convert a BLOB table into 11g Securefiles table?

Problems Uploading a Pages file in html format including pictures to web pa

I have problems uploading a Pages file in html format to a web page.
The files itself is downloaded but the images are not. How can I upload a page file in html including the pictures or illustrations?

I just bought a macbook as well as the iwork software. I am having a few problems. I am a student and when I try to print out documents (originally word documents) it puts them automatically into textedit instead of pages. Also, the pages get all screwed up, things are missing, etc. How do I make pages my default and do i need to export? import? or do something so that these documents show up perfectly in pages?
A second questions- When i try to print out slideshows in keynote (originally from powerpoint) the handouts print on the little edge of the paper horizontally rather than the long way. I am hoping these are easy adjustments.

What did you rent the film on, your iPad or your Mac ? If you rented it on your iPad then it should have downloaded into the Videos app on it (you should get a rentals tab in the app). If you rented it on your Mac then it should be in the Movies part of your Mac's iTunes library, you will have to connect your iPad to your Mac's iTunes and move it from your Mac to your iPad (I think that it should show on the iPad's Movies tab for moving)

Flash Animations and Movies are lagging after having played a flash game which was graphics intense heavy and frequently refreshed which caused lags, how can I fix this lagging problem for Flash?

On June 30th, I was playing a game called Lil Einstein's Manhattan project over at Newgrounds.com and the game although fine at first, later on in the advanced levels of the game, started to cause my browser to lag intensely and heavily. Now, when I try and watch other flash movies and animations, the flash doesn't run as smoothly, there are skips in the flash animations and movies, and it slows down.
I tried scan disks, I tried defragmenting my computer, I tried uninstalling and re-installing Firefox.. Nothing worked to restore the Flash.
But when I view Flash movies and animations on Internet Explorer, they run fine... but not anymore on Firefox.
Other Firefox users who have played this game also reported problems as well..
How can I fix my Firefox Browser and return the Flash running to normal?

If you have already scanned PC with an updated Anti-Virus and still the issue exists then I would suggest some troubleshooting techniques to resolve this problem:
Update browser
Remove unwanted Add-ons
Remove unwanted Tool-bars
Repair Registry
Repair ActiveX objects and shared DLLs
In case of facebook and Zynga I would suggest to Check for Problems with your Internet Connection.Try to Update Java and Reduce the Number of Running Internet Applications.
Sometimes Multimedia content lag due to Hardware Acceleration, so disabling Hardware Acceleration should fix your problem.
Open Flash Video in browser
Right click on Video Player | Settings
Open Display Panel
Uncheck Enable Hardware Acceleration

I have been using Adobe Flash Player for a number of years now the error messages
all seemed to happen for me right after their update to version 14
Okay so, I uninstalled Adobe Shockwave 12 but I still get this annoying

NO because why would I want to stop an app that I just took out of my pc?
And whatever happened to uninstalling old flash data before installing a new one?

Site works in preview but not when uploaded to the web

I have been trying to add a link from my website to another project I have been doing, a mini site made with Flash.
I wanted the link to open up a new window with the animation playing inside, and it works perfectly when I use "preview in safari" within dreamweaver, but now I've uploaded to the web it just opens up a blank window.

If anyone knows how to get this working I'd be very grateful! It's for a uni project due in this afternoon :S

I think you may be having a problem with how Flash is displayed. The Flash on the first page doesn't display in IE8... although it does in Chrome. The second page doesn't display in either. Your link is correct. I checked that.
Wish I could be more helpful, I'm having the same issue with IE and DW CS4 myself, and can't figure it out.

PDF Documents not uploading correctly to web

I have been struggling today with an issue I've encountered with my documents that I made in Illustrator, then had them uploaded to the web. The document displays big squares around all the paths in my document, containig text and gradients inside them.
When I open the document on my laptop, using adobe reader, it displays correctly, with no hassles, but when I upload them to the web, or even drag and drop the document in to my browser, these big squares appear. I'v etried different PDF settings to try and fix this, but it's not working and as a temporary solution, the document was uploaded as a PNG.
The document itself isn't linked to any =thing, it's just a document that opens when you click on the web button to view it, and then you can download the pdf document from the website.
What coulld cause this issue?

SUCCESS! I tried the following this morning. I opened the .ai file in Adobe Photoshop, I set it to not downsample when saving as PDF. Then I opened the PDF in chrome and it displayed correctly, as you can see. But is this the only solution to such a problem as this?
