Fixed value Aggregates

I have created a fixed value aggregate using the material characetistic.  However, I want to select more than one material, how would I do that, is the only way to build a hierarchy or can I do the same with Fixed value

Hi Shah,
The hierarchy does not have any multiple leaves, i.e. each variant of a characteristic only occurs once in the hierarchy,Node "Remaining" is not suppressed . The aggregate cannot be used if the third hierarchy level is needed in a query.
FOr Ex: Industry Aggregate
The aggregate can be used
In a query that determines the sales for each industry or the total sales. For evaluations by node values if there is a hierarchy for the industry.
The aggregate can only be used in queries having the same filter value.
The aggregate cannot be used if other countries are needed in a query.
Hope it gives you some details about hierarchy and fixed value.
Thanks

  • Are Fixed Value Aggregates accessed in parallel?

    Hello,
    given the following scenario:
    - Data is split up semantically, say by country, across five cubes and these cubes are assigned to a MultiProvider.
    - A query that needs data from 2 countries is run.
-> The OLAP-engine will access all five cubes in parallel to see if they have the needed countries. The cubes that are not needed are discarded immediately.
Now let's assume instead of five cubes, we use one cube and five fixed value aggregates in the background. Would this work the same way? Would the system at all read from any aggregate (since data from two - not just one- countries is needed)?
    Many thanks for your input!

    Hi Billy,
you should go to the infoobject maintenance and the business explorer tab and set the 'Value Selection for Query definition' to 'Values in Master data table'.
But for this, the value 'X' must be posted to the master data table. If not, maintain the master data and create a new entry for 'X'. Activate the master data, and just to be sure, exit and restart BEX. The value should be available then.

  • Fixed Values for Aggregates

Hi, I'd like to know if anyone knows a way to have a range of fixed values for an aggregate?  I'd like to have the aggregate based on 0FISCYEAR 2003-2004.
    Any ideas, suggestions, workarounds?
    Thanks!

    Hi Kenneth,
as it is not possible to have aggregates as you want, you can go with the following workaraound.
Use Partinioning and use January 2003 to December 2004 as the partinioning parameters and use just 1 partition. With these settings you get 3 partitions for the cube. One for all data older than jan/03, one for all data younger than dec/04 and one for all data within your periods. For setting up the partitions the cube must be empty. Hope this helps

  • Aggregates with Fixed values

    HI
We have a requirement to create an aggregate on one of our infocubes. Dical period is going to be included as part of this aggregate. I would like to know if it is possible to set this aggregate to be populated for a fixed range of periods eg: 008/2009 - 012/2009.
I know that we can set this to one fixed date like 008/2009 but is a range of period possible? If so how can I do that.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
To the best of my knowledge, it is not possible to give a range as a Fixed Value for Aggregate.
However, I recommend to go for other possible options like partioning, compression, Indexing, OLAP Cache, DB Statistics etc to improve the performance of the query.

  • Aggregate on range of fixed values?

    Hello group,
Is it possible to make an aggregate on a range of fixed values? F.i. 0PROJECT_0STATUSSYS 00 - 02?
Furthermore is seems impossible to make an aggregate on a navigational attribute without RSRT giving an error in RSRT that the char itself is missing  ( in this case 0PROJECT) and it cannot use the aggregate.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
<i>Is it possible to make an aggregate on a range of fixed values? F.i. 0PROJECT_0STATUSSYS 00 - 02?</i>
No, I donot think that it is possible.
<i>Furthermore is seems impossible to make an aggregate on a navigational attribute without RSRT giving an error in RSRT that the char itself is missing ( in this case 0PROJECT) and it cannot use the aggregate.</i>
It means some where in the query you are using that
missed Characterstic but have not included that
characterstic in the defination of aggregate. So include
    that characterstic in the aggregate.

  • Aggregate with fixed value for 0SOLD_TO__0REGION wonu00B4t work

    Hi,
We want to have a aggregate for a specific region. I have problem getting the aggregate to work. When testing it for aggregates in tc rsrt, it states that it will not use the aggregate because of Characteristic/Attribute 0SOLD_TO__0REGION does not have aggregation level */%.
This in spite of the fact that 0SOLD_TO__0REGION is filtred to only include the same region and country in the aggregate and in the query.
Maybe the message with the * in the end of it means that the aggregate needs to have all regions (value * in aggregate instead of F), but if that is the case, why?

    Hi
1.Create separate aggragates for each Attribute, using fixed values and create a multiprovider over this cube and take the report.
Multiprovider perform parallel search on aggregates hence you query retrival time will be quick.
2.Create Hierarchy variable and hierarchy node variable in the properties of IO
in this case also you won't see entirer hierarchy. if you won't provide data for other nodes... it won't display.
set authorization on hierarchy node also helps
    Hope this helps

  • Keyfigure fixing at aggregate level

    HI,
    I am using APO V4,
    1. I  am planning to fix my keyfigure only at aggregate level,  My keyfigure is open at all levels like plant or material group or material, i can enter the data at any point manually. but when come to keyfigure fixing, i want to fix the keyfigure only at aggregate level, i mean if the keyfigure is at material level i need fix, any other level it should not allow me to fix.
I was thinking for a drill down macro, but my keyfigure should open at all levels irrespective of keyfigure fixing, is it manageable any how that keyfigure can only be fixed at material level?
    2.  this is a different issue from above, i have fixed the keyfigure for a month, after that i had run a copy macro to the fixed key figure, but the fixed values are overwritten once the copy job is completed, and when i check in the planning book, it is visible as fixed agian. do i need to have any macro specific setting for this during the copy macro?
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Gurus,
I am having some problems with Key Figure Fix.
    The business requirement:
Some fields must be kept fixed and locked during the interactive planning performed in tc /SAPAPO/SDP94.
What was done in order to do it:
We created macros using standard features in order to fix and block some cells in accordance with the business requirements. The first macro disaggregates the planning to the last level available for collaboration. Another macro using FIX_CALC and ROW_INPUT functionalities fixes and locks some cells (3 levels). After these activities the planning view is aggregated and it will be ready for collaboration.
These macros run automatically every time that the user open an specific planning view.
    The problem:
After the aggregation when the disaggregated level is called again all cells have been showed fixed and locked. If we perform the fix and lock manually the system run correctly, i.e., only the cells fixed and locked are kept in this status after an aggregating and disaggregating processes.
    Step-by-step
u2022 Set the macro in /SAPAPO/ADVM u2013 MacroBuilder. To use the macro FIX_CALC in aggregated level. The first attribute set with ROW ATRIBUTES, the second attribute set with VALUES. FIX_CALC (Cota de Vendas; Cota de Vendas). With this setting, the aggregated line will be fixed.
u2022 Set the macro in /SAPAPO/ADVM u2013 MacroBuilder. To use the macro FIX_CALC in level 1. The first attribute set with ROW ATRIBUTES, the second attribute set with VALUES. FIX_CALC (Cota de Vendas; Cota de Vendas). With this setting, the level 1 line will be fixed.
u2022 Set the macro in /SAPAPO/ADVM u2013 MacroBuilder. To use the macro ROW_INPUT in aggregated level. Cota de vendas = ROW_INPUT ( 0 ). With this setting, the aggregated line will be locked.
u2022 Set the macro in /SAPAPO/ADVM u2013 MacroBuilder. To use the macro ROW_INPUT in level 1. Cota de vendas = ROW_INPUT ( 0 ). With this setting, the level 1 line will be locked.
u2022 Now, go to in /SAPAPO/SDP94.
    u2022 Disaggregated the planning view.
    u2022 Run the FIX_CALC and ROW_INPUT macros.
    u2022 Aggregated the planning view.
u2022 Disaggregated the planning view again. You can see the problem.
    Thanks,

  • Fixing at aggregate level & unfixing at detailed level.

    Hi,
Our requirement is as given below......
Our Demand Planning Process is Top-down process. Head Quarter will enter the demand at Territory, Channel and Product Group Level. These values are fixed and gets disaggregated to further planning level based on historical sales. The further planning levels are Sales Officer, Location & Product. Territory Manager can change the demand with in his targets across Sales officers (i.e. he should be able to change the targets of Sales officers without exceeding or reducing the Territory targets).
Can anyone suggest how to fix the keyfigures at Aggregate Level without fixing it at detailed level. We tried FIX_CALC macro, but could not resolve the issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    SP

You need to create AGGREGATES in your PLANNING OBJECT STRUCTURE, right click on POS and create  the following aggregates
    (1) ALL TERRITORY characteristics
Now you will be able to fix at the top level and still be able to change at the detailed level.
Read the following:* Let me know if you have any questions*
    Aggregate
    Definition
The aggregates in APO are not the same as those in the Business Information Warehouse (BW), but they have the same purpose: to speed up data access and therefore increase performance.  SAP recommends that you use aggregates in Demand Planning.
These aggregates are sometimes referred to as persistent aggregates, in particular when talking about detail and aggregate levels in interactive planning.
    Use
An APO aggregate contains a subset of the characteristics in the master planning object structure. The creation and use of aggregates is optional. The data is always saved on the lowest level of detail. If aggregates exist, the system saves the planning data on the defined aggregate levels as well as on the lowest level of detail. The data is saved twice, but consistently; that is, the sum of the details equals the aggregate value.
SAP recommends that the aggregates you build in APO for planning data also exist in BW for actual data.
If you want to save fixed values at aggregate level ; that is not at detail level of the master planning object structure, in a planning book, you must create aggregates for this level. Otherwise the data is only saved at detail level.
You cannot form aggregates for navigational attributes
    See also:
    Fixing Key Figure Values
Aggregates are discussed in detail in OSS note 503363. SAP recommends that you read this note thoroughly before configuring your master planning object structures and aggregate hierarchy.

  • The fixed value date is empty and not displayed in the VA05 report

    Hi SD Gurus,
With in the Sales Order in the line item level in the billing tab we have the fixed value date (VBKD - VALDT) were entered.
But when we try to execute the report VA05 were the fixed value date column shows empty (i.e without the date it shows the blank).  Can you any one help me with regard.
We would like to fix this problem.
Thanks in advance for providing solution to this query.
    Thanks and Regards,
    SAP-SD group

    Hi janarthanam,
    Ok.
    Goto t-code SQVI,SAP Quickviewer.
Give a name to your query and enter description ,etc.
Next enter the table from which you want to fetch data,ie,VBKD .
Select "Layout mode" for displaying data on the SAP screen or "Basis mode " if you want to extract the data to a word doc, excelsheet or a flat file.
Next you can select the fields you want to display into your report, their position and ascending/descending order,Here make sure u select
the field u need to display ie. the fixed value date ( VALDT) .
also select the fields u wish to have in the selection criteria.
Enter these required information and u would get a report on the SAP screen or in your desired format.
    Hope it will suffice you.
For any queries ,your are welcomed.

  • How to associate a fixed $ value to a date cell?

I'm trying to keep track of payments made, according to date.
I have one column where I enter dates.
Can I associate these date cells to a fixed $ value, so that each time I enter a new date the SUM cell will automatically update?
    I hope so...
    Thanks!

    HI cp,
By "associate these cells to a fixed $ value," I assume you mean that fixed value will be added to the sum as each date in sentered.
Here are two examples, one showing the fixed amount in the adjacent column when the date (or anything) is entered in column A, the other showing only the total.
Both use a second table to hold the fixed value, making it easy to edit, if necessary.
    Formulas:
    (Method 1)
    B2, and filled down to B10: =IF(LEN(A)>0,Fixed value :: A$2,"")
LEN(A) returns the length (in character) of the entry in the cell in this row of column A. If anything is entered, the IF condition is TRUE, and IF returns the value in A2 of the smaller table. If nothing has been entered, the condition is FALSE, and IF returns a null string to the cell.
    B11: =SUM(B)
Row 11 is a Footer row, and is not included in the cells to be summed.
    (Method 2)
    D11: =Fixed value :: A2*COUNTA($A)
COUNTA counts the number of entries in column A of the Main table, then multiplies the fixed value in the small table by the result of the count and returns the result.
This formula may be placed in any cell.
    (Both methods)
The cell reference to Fixed Value::A2 (or Fixed Value::A$2) may be replaced with the actual value, and the second table eliminated, if desired.

  • How can batch field in Purchase Order(PO) be a fixed value????

    Hi Experts,
In SAP, when create a purchase order, there is a field "Batch" for every item,
which means "Assigns a material that is manufactured in batches or production lots to a specific
    batch ".
For some special reasons, we want for some certain materials, when create purchase orders every
time, the "Batch" field will be a fixed values.
For example, for material "AB1" ,"CD2",when create purchase orders every time, the "Batch" field will
be "2345" automatically,do not need input manually. But for all the other materials, the "Batch" field would be null ,no value.
How can I do this? How can assign fixed batch number values to some certain materials in Purchase
    Order?
If there needs some ABAP development, which user exit do I need??
    Thanks for any reply!

    Hi there,
You may need to establish, whether you wish to use batch managent or split valuation.
Spilt valuation does allow you to default values into purchasing documents via information records, but I guess it depends on what else you want to do with this tracking
Split valuation can be controlled independently at the material and plant level

  • Function Module to validate a value against domain fixed values

    Hi,
Could anybody please let me know if there is a standard Function Module that takes a Value and Domain name as an input and checks if the input value exists in the Fixed Values of the domain.
    Thanks,
    Shalabh

    Hi,
you can use fm FM_DOMAINVALUE_CHECK. Pass parameter values for I_DOMNAME and I_DOMVALUE.
If the value is invalid, exception VALUE_NOT_ALLOWED will occur.

  • How to set to-mode to Fixed Value and give a date in RSDV transaction

    Hi
I am working in BI7.0 environment. I am deploying HR Reporting Project. I need to load data to HR Info Cube 0PAPA_C02, to do this I need to maintain validity slice (RSDV transaction) for the Info Cube. After first load I need to set "to-mode-'Fixed Value'" and give a date such as 31.12.9999.
Can anyone please let me know the steps on how to set- to mode to Fixed Value in RSDV.
    Thanks

Here's the basic steps to follow:
    1) Go to tcode RSDV, enter the InfoCube name (0PAPA_C02) and Execute.
    2) If there is data already in the InfoCube you will get a validity table with default validty dates from 0CALDAY.
    3) Click on the Display/Change button so that you're in change mode and edit the validity date to be 31.12.9999.
    4) In the To-Mode column, set the value to 'F' for fixed.
    5) Put the fixed date value (31.12.9999 in your example) in Fixed to time.
    6) Click on Save.

  • Fixed Value Date at line item level is not in changable mode when copied

    Dear SDN Team,
Hi i have a problem in the Fixed Value date at the line item level in the Return sales order.
The Problem is When creating the return order with reference to the scheduling agreement (10.03.2010).  In the Return sales Order at the line item level the fixed value date is coping from scheduling agreement item (fixed value date eg: 31.12.2009)
But i would like to have the fixed value date in the return order as 10.03.2010  but the field is greyed out.
But normally when the sales document is created with reference to the preceding document the same will be copied.  But field is greyed out and it is not in changable mode.
Can any one help how to solve this.
I have checked also SAP Note where i did not find any messages.
In normal scenario - when the order is created without any reference the fixed value date is in changable mode until the document is in open.
Pleas help me to resolve this.
    With Regards,
    Jai

    Hi Lakshmipathi,
I am sharing the resolution which was done to this requirement.
We have a specific condition type with statisticaly used and with routine to have KWERT with zero value,
Based on the different key combination. We have a specific key combination for the SA and SDoc and for this we need to maintain a condition record for the condition type with fixed value date and which will be linked to only the specific document.  Once this is done.
We need to do update pricing in the sales order for the particular line item. by doing this the Fixed value date will be changed in the particular line item.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Jana
