Fixed WiFi problem on update to 7.1.2

I reset network settings. Then turned airport mode on.  Then clicked on WiFi settings. It found the wireless router; entered the  password, and now it works.  Let's hope it works at work, on public wifi  connection.

I have the 7.1.2 update wifi problem too but unfortunately this did not fix it in my case

  • LEAP WIFI problem after updated to 4.2.2

I've just upgraded my tablet to 4.2.2.
Now I can't connect to my company's network which uses password LEAP. Major problem for me.
Seems this is a common problem across a number of Android platforms.
Does anyone know how to resolve on the Tab Z (not rooted). ?

We are looking into this (see http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z-ZL-ZR/XPERIA-Z-LEAP-WIFI-problem-after-updated-to-4-2-2/m-p/3...) but at the moment i have no solution. This seems to be a general problem with Android 4.2.2 from what i've been able to find.

  • WIFI problem after update 2.2

Like many users in this forum I also have problems with the wifi connection after updating to 2.2.
I have the first gen iphone, ever functioned without major problems, but after update 2.2. I found out that my iphone looses the wifi connection after some minutes of being turned off and turned on again. Sometimes the wifi is established but most of the times I have to go to the settings and there try to connect to wifi again and again.
Sometimes I get wifi connection after 2 attempts, most of the times it takes up to 8 tries to have wifi again. I restored my phone three times now, hoping this problem would be solved, but in vain.
I also called the Apple support-first I was told to delete the 2.2. software from my itunes folder and then to restore again and let itunes download 2.2 software again - no improvement! At my next call with the Apple-Iphone support, the agent told me that I should delete my router settings, restore the iphone software- no new strategy at all - and that the problem with the wifi after 2.2. is not a well known issue by Apple; I told the agent to google this topic to see that this is a very common problem concerning hundreds of even thousands of users after the update 2.2. At the end of the call I was offered to send the iphone for a repair, which in my opinion is the common solution for support centers if the don´t have any solutions left. I refused to send my iphone to a "useless" repair, because it´s so obvious that the problem is the 2.2. update! I encourage all of you to call the support-hotline and make pressure to get Apple to release a quick update to fix this annoying problem! Happy New Year to all of you!

Thanks for your advice; I´ve resetted the networks setting twice; a little improvement came with this (the wifi-connection now sometimes establishes faster); but still..after having turned on my phone after some minutes paused there´s only "edge" activated. Seems I´ll have to wait for update 2.3 ?

  • Does 2.1 fix Wifi Problems?

I couldn't connect to my router since I updated to 2.0.2 and so have many other people. Does the 2.1 software update fix that problem? Because the update is so not worth $10 only because "Genius" is added. PLEASE anyone. Help!

    http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/softwareupdate.html
    (bottom of page)
"If you’ve already upgraded to the iPhone 2.0 Software Update for iPod touch, the 2.1 update is free."
"The major update should "significantly" improve battery life, problems with droppped calls, fix a lot of bugs, and backing up to iTunes should be "dramatically" faster."

  • K3011 windows 8.1 upgrade fixed Wifi problem

I just upgraded my K3011W from Windows 8 to Win 8.1 after I suffered under major Wifi problems. Poor connectivity or lost signal.  I did an inplace upgrade to Win 8.1 Pro but at first the Wifi problem remained -no connectivity at all.
Then I found the broadcom driver package  sp58848.exe at the HP website
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=de&lc=de&dlc=de&tmp_geoLoc=true&software...
    which finally was the breakthrough.
After windows update everything runs just fine!

I am going to have to try this.  My problem with the Broadcom at this point after Windows 8.1 is that there is no longer a "Power Management" tab in the Broadcom properties, so everytime the tablet sleeps it turns off wifi, irritating.  You almost have to run the tablet with no sleep which really kills the battery.
But it makes sense there would be a Broadcom driver for a Lenovo tablet on an HP site.  Jeesh.

  • Wifi problem after updating my phone to ios 7.1.1

  • Latest OS X update didn't fix wifi problem. Worse now.

I was desperately hoping this update would solve this CONSTANT "Looking for Networks" B.S. that has plagued my iMac from day one!! It seems to have made it even worse. WHY have they not addressed this issue yet? Every computer in the house, iphones, androids, ipads - all of them - find our network and stay connected without trouble, but this damned iMac is practically useless for online work.
    HELP!!!

It probably has absolutely nothing to do with OS X. Something about your iMac's location in the home or the location of the wrieless router is causing interference. Or you could have a defective WiFi module in your iMac that is causing the trouble. Things do break you know.
As an experiment try moving your iMac right next to the wireless router. If that solves the problem it's probably interference. If it doesn't solve the problem chances are you have a broken iMac. Maybe the internal antenna has a loose connection or the WiFi board is defective. If still under warranty Apple will fix it. If not Apple will still fix it but there will be a charge.

  • Wifi problems after update airport configuration

Hello, i have a question about my wifi. After i installed airport configuration 6.1 my computer said there is no wifi hardware installed. Does anybody knows how to fix this?
Or to get back to 6.0 ?

    Thank you.
The problem is that I used to have a wifi network that let me go on the internet from my iPad, iPhone and laptop. Two days ago, it disappeared: no access to the internet via wifi from anywhere but my desktop. The old wifi network isn't listed anywhere, on my desktop or other devices that detect wifi.
I access the internet via ethernet from my desktop, via virgin media.
What I want to do is get a home network up and running again. Originally, it was all automatic - I didn't have to know anything to get it working. Then I followed some nifty spec on the forum to slightly alter the address of the device, and my other devices, so that I could use my computer's wifi from my Kindle. For the next 9 months, no problems. Then I casually updated the airport utility and poof, the wifi network vanished. And I don't know how to get a DHCP ID or anything else, because I didn't have to do it originally. I just plugged in my computer and did what I was told to.
This sounds so pathetic. I'm sorry. Is there some way I can just start all over again?

  • Wifi Problem after updating to 3.1.2

so last week i updated my iphone 3G to firmware 3.1.2, and for a few days everything was fine. Then all of a sudden my iphone stopped connecting to wifi. Now from what i've read there have been several issues similar to this, in which the iphone completely stops detecting wifi (which could mean a malfunctioning wifi antenna), however, in my case the phone still finds networks. At home i can see my network, i just can't connect to it, same with at work and school. The most interesting thing is that i am able to connect to my MBP when it's creating a network.
I have tried every troubleshooting measure i can think of, from playing with network setting (eg. static ip, different security, no security) to reformatting the iphone, both restoring from old back up and setting up new phone.
I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this kind of half dead wifi, and if anyone can offer opinions/ solutions, or even just let me know if they think the wifi is completely broken.
    Thanks in advance,
PS I'm outside of warranty, and i've been told it'll be $229.99 to get it fixed, so I'm really looking for some kind of answer.

It appears you've done everything apple would suggest, but here's their support document on the subject just in case you over looked something:

  • When is Adobe going to fix the problem of updating Creative Cloud

Since September last year, updating Creative Cloud has been a problem.
Every time I try to update I receive a failure message.  The "temporary" solution last September was to rename the Creative Cloud folder and try again.
This problem still exists, and requires a permanent fix.

  • Wifi problems after updating to OS 10.3.1.1779

    Hello,
after updating my BlackBerry Q10 I have problems with my wifi connection. While surfing on the internet it switches off several times. But theres no problem with my wifi router itself, because the connection with my laptop is ok. Did someone else have that problem?
And/or is there a possibility to "delete" the update and go back to the old version?
    Thank you for your help.

You really need to update to the latest OS 10.3.2.Subject to carrier approvals, BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3.1 is rolling out to customers around the world. As soon as your carrier approves the release you’ll be able to upgrade OTA, via blackberry.com/update or by using BlackBerry Link.
Meanwhile, on your WiFi router, reboot it. Disconnect BOTH the power and the internet input cable for a minute and reconnect both and after a minute and wifi is broadcasting again, reconnect and see how it goes.

  • Fixed wifi problems with Verizon FIOS' Actiontec MI424WR router

My FIOS router was setup for 64bit WEP with support for b and g. It had worked great for years with my iPhone, iPod touch, and other computers in my home. Then came the iPad. The iPad would lose the connection, prompt me for the password, etc. several times per day. I first tried changing to g only support. It didn't help. Then I changed to WEP 128 and all of the frustrating problems appear to have gone away.
Hope this helps some of you love your iPad more because I was really starting to hate mine...

I went into the router and set a static IP address for the ipad (in the low 200's dont use the 100's its for your fios cable dvr's). You will first have to shutdown the ipad (not just sleep). Then delete the ipad from the connection list in the fios router. The instructions from the fios router pdf are below. I am on 24 hrs and even with wep and no fixed channel I have had no problems.
To define a new connection with a fixed IP address:
    1. Click New Static Connection in the DHCP Connections screen. The “DHCP Connection Settings” screen appears.
    2. Enter a host name for this connection.
    3. Enter the fixed IP address to assign to the computer.
    4. Enter the MAC address of the computer’s network card.
    5. Click the OK to save changes.
☞ Note: A device’s fixed IP address is actually assigned to the specific
network card’s MAC address installed on the network computer.
If this network card is replaced, the device’s entry in the DHCP Connections list must be updated with the new network card’s MAC address.
To remove a host from the table, click the appropriate “Delete” icon in the Action column.

  • 10.5.4 does not fix wifi problems

Sadly, after installing 10.5.4 I can confirm for me, the non-reconnection of wifi after sleep is still as broken as it was in 10.5.3
Mine will still only reconnect if Bluetooth is off.
    Another Apple disappointment.

It sounds to me you have file corruption or an improper setting in your firewall, router, or network preferences that is causing the issue. Perhaps if you gave us more details about your network connection, hardware/software/IPv6/Channel setup/MTU size/number of shared computers we could give you more details why the issue may be happening.
Also did you make sure to follow all the steps suggested in my FAQ*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/upgradefaq.html
Mind you I haven't had a chance to get to a computer to update my website for 10.5.4 links yet, but you are among the first to try it out.
