Fixing bad timing

Question

I have a brand new Mac and I just started using GarageBand. I recorded some tracks with very bad timing. The automatic timing correction does not help because the recorded tracks are so bad. How can I manually adjust the timing of individual notes? Similarly, how can I manually adjust the timing of the entire track (slide it left or right a small amount)?

if it's a MIDI recording ("Software") then open the track editor pane to move the notes around:

if it's an audio recording, there's nothing else besides the Enhance Timing slider.

click and drag the region within the track to the left or right
