  • HOW DO I FIX SOUND PROBLEMS ON MY IPOD  TOUCH?

How do i fix sound problems on my ipod touch?

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

  • Mavericks OSX Update 10.9.1 is out - fixes language problem

    See:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6065
The new update to Mavericks fixes the problem with updates not showing, if the primary system language is not set to English:
Fixes an issue that prevented iLife and iWork apps from updating on non-English systems
It does not mention Aperture - but hopefully this problem has been fixed for Aperture as well with this update.

Actually, this is an id10T mistake.  I rebooted to the wrong hard drive.  Please disregard this problem.  It is solved.

  • Possible fix for "problem downloading the IPOD software.." error

I have a click wheel IPOD and after dropping it was forced to restore to factory setting. When attempting to restore, Itunes nor my computer recognized my IPOD and when it finally did I got the message
"These was a problem downloading the Ipod software for the Ipod "Ipod." The requested resource was not found."
I did the 5 steps repeatedly over 2 days with no luck then today I combined advice from a bunch of postings and it worked!
    Here's what worked:
    1)Bought a new USB 2.0 connect cable.
2)Deleted the folder containing the firmware files: see
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304309
    3)Delete Ipod updater
    4)Restarted computer
    5)Download updated Itunes
    http://www.apple.com/ipod/start/
When I ran the exe file it asked if I wanted to "repair" or "reinstall" I choose "repair".
    5)Reset ipod
6)Opened itunes, connected ipod, it took about 10 minutes for itunes to sync with the ipod.
    7)Choose restore.
After that it went as normal.
    Cheers

  • I'm an idiot,it's true.Now to fix the problem,deleted itunes library & ipod

    Okay,
So my macbook pro was having issues with the os and some other things. I decided the best thing to do was to completely reinstall the os. Which i did. Before that however i had transfered my songs an pics to my ipod, planning on transfering them back. After the reinstall i was able to transfer my pics all right. Now itunes was a lot harder. I clicked import data, and picked the folder with my songs. My music list appeard so i assumed it was on it. I deleted that folder from my ipod and removed my ipod. After reconnincting it later and automatically syncing all the songs was taken out and my itunes list had that excalamtion mark saying that it couldnt find my songs. So basically i have no songs on my computer or ipod. Is there anyway to get them back? Some way that won't break the bank?
    Sorry for the long story

Eh i sure hope so, this is driving me nuts! no music!
Umm...limewire. Other than the ethical (not legal, i'm canadian) issues being considered time would be an issue. I had about 10k songs, downloading isn't an option.

  • Asian-English Language problem on iTunes

I have two computers. Both of them are PCs with Windows XP Pro OS. However, one of them has Asian Language package installed. First, I transfered Asian songs through the Asian Language PC. The Asian language ID3 tags displayed correctly in the iTunes and iPod. After, I connected the iPod to my other PC. All the Asian language ID3 tags were messed up on both iTunes and iPod. Is there any way that I can prevent this problem happen again, if I switch the connections of my iPod between the two PCs?

Some update to detail the problem after further investigation.
    Any idea is appreciated.
On EBP when we try to make a search for the available values we get "page cannot be found" error. This error occurs only if we login to EBP in a non-English language, i.e. either Turkish or Russian.
We don't get this error on all search helps but with the ones that have a non-latin character in the link. On the other hand the problem does not occur in all the links with non-latin characters. Some of the links with non-latin characters are working correctly.
    Steps for the Reconstruction
    1. Login to EBP in Turkish
    2. Goto Process GOA/"Genel çerçeve sözleşmesini işle" under  Contract Management
    3. Create a GOA
    4. On the initial screen of the GOA creation click on the "binnocular" at the line of under-over delivery tolerance/"Tsl.açığı/ fazlasıtoleransı"
    5. Since our SRM server is on SSL Internet Explorer first asks for displaying the non-secure items. The actual problem is that the link contains non-latin characters. You can see the link by clicking on and not letting the binnocular.
    6. However when you go down on the same page to the binnocular for the vendor/"Satıcı" search you get no errors. Because the non-latin characters are converted to ASCII codes.
I have also opened an OSS note on that.
    Regards
    #Bill J.

  • New laptop = problems with itunes/ipod nano 3g

I bought a new computer and am having some issues with my ipod/itunes. In itunes, all songs that weren't downloaded from the itunes store have an exclamation point next to them and I get a message saying the song could not be used because the original file could not be found. I did copy my personal music from my old computer via flash drive and the itunes preferences are set properly to search in the location in which they are saved. How can I get itunes to locate the file itself without doing it manually? Also, I cannot get my iPod to sync with my new computer iTunes - I did authorize my new computer. It shows my ipod on itunes, but will not sync my new music and playlists. How can I fix that as well?

Personally I am very happy with my new iPod Nano. It works great with Nike Plus and I love the video and some of the cool features like stopwatch and more. I have an earlier iPod Nano and I was hesitant to buy the new one but I am so glad I did. I don't have any problems uploading data.

  • I bought a song the other day and it only downloaded about a third of it. How do I fix the problem when iTunes doesn't recognize the mistake?

Bought a song the other day and it did not download correctly. I am over 50 and a little new to using this technology so please pardon me if it is an easy fix. iTunes will not allow me to download it again or to even buy it again, so I cannot figure out how to fix it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

  • Problem sync iTunes+iPod

According to iTunes, I have 5,15GB of songs in my library. However, iTunes won't allow me to sync them to my iPod touch 8GB, saying I need to clear 3 GB. How do I solve this problem?

    - Only sync selected items, not your whole library. See:
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
    - Converting the songs to a less bitrate will allow more songs. Go to the Summary pane for the iPod in iTunes and chance the box that says convert higher bitrate songs to XXX ksps Acc. I would select 128 kbps.

  • What's the problem? iTunes, iPod, or laptop?

My little sister has begged me for weeks to get music on her iPod but i told her that we would have to wait until I got my laptop because I could put discs into it and download her favortie CDs. When I finally got my laptop, I imported some cds into the library. I went into iTunes Help and read that to put the music onto the iPod, I had to pug in th iPod and press the icon under "Devices". One problem. when I plug in the iPod to the laptop te icon doesn't show up so there is no way to get the music onto the iPod. HELP ME!!! The iPod says "Connected Eject before disconnecting" but I cant do that unless it shows up in the devices section. My sister is now crushed because she an't get music on her iPod. What should I do? P.S. If it changes anything, it is the Nano Chromatiic and it is the cord that it came with.

It has to show up in Windows before iTunes will see it.
Ummm! Not quite sure that's correct. To me, as a Windows user, you are saying that the iPod will show up in Windows *My Computer* before showing up in iTunes. This is not the case. The only time the iPod will show up in Windows/My Computer is when you select *Enable disk use* which allows you to use the iPod (not the Touch) as a hard drive. When this option is selected, the iPod does not show up in iTunes.
Having said that, occasionally, something goes wonky and both the iPod and the hard drive show up at the same time. It's happened to me, but that's not normal, so the original poster should regard this as a note to you, not him/her.

  • Why won't Apple fix this problem of iTunes Cutting off songs?

I've owned seven different ipods and three iPhones. On EVERY ONE OF THEM iTunes cuts off many songs after two or three seconds of playing. We're talking here about songs either uploaded from commercially purchased DVDs or the iTunes store. I have no bootleg music, I don't customize anything related to iTunes. I just buy music and download it into iTunes from MacBook Pro laptops that are similarly as standard as one can get. Yet when I listen to the albums of songs I've just purchased, random songs play for two seconds and then change to another song. When I've researched this issue across the Web I've found detailed complaints going back as early as 2004 and I can't believe that EVERY Apple iTunes system and device I've purchased over many years has behaved in this exact manner. What are these "Apple Support Communities" FOR is Apple fails to either correct the problems they report or, worse, even acknowledge problems that are documented by thousands of users of a wide variety of iTunes related products? I don't want to have to use a work-around or a reload or some of the other Rube Goldberg-like solutions others have suggested in these and other forums. I'm spending thousands of dollars on Apple equipment and software and I simply want the Apple iTunes devices and music that I buy to WORK AS ADVERTISED, which they don't. I just want my music to play as it is supposed to play. Why can't Apple make that happen?

That's happing to me, any solution ?

  • Problems with Itunes/Ipod touch

I'm having trouble syncing my iPod touch with iTunes. Whenever I go to sync, my iTunes freezes at "Backing up: step 1 of 5". I've tried restoring my iPod 2-3 times now, and now my apps are starting to close while I'm in them. What do I need to do? I've uninstalled itunes and re-installed itunes, and I've been trying to figure this out for 2 months now, with nothing happening. Can anyone help?

when i clicked Sync Music it gave me some kind of warning message saying it would replace something or make changes to my ipod,
i cant figure out why it wont let me pick and choose.

  • Language problems on itunes

Im currently in Germany b/c this is where my husband is stationed....When I go to iTunes everything is german, but the language set in preferences is English. Does anyone know how to change EVERYTHING in iTunes to English?
    Gateway   Windows XP

You can open the Preferences by hitting Ctrl-, (comma). If the keyboard is different somehow, you can use the second menu from the left, and select the item all the way at the bottom.
The language preference is on the first tab on the left. It is the bottom pulldown. English is the 5th item in the pulldown list. You have to restart iTunes to see the language change.
