PLZ HELP!!
Best regards,

Hi,
Disable the cached mode for Shared Mailbox by the following steps, try if this helps:
Go to FILE tab -> Account Settings ->
Account Settings -> Select the Exchange account name, click Change
-> More Settings -> Advanced tab -> Uncheck
Download shared folders to use online mode for shared folders ->
OK.
If the steps above can't help, just remove the shared Inbox and re-add it, check if the problem persists.
Thanks,

  • Emails stay unread (inbox doesn't refresh)

    Hi,
If I open an email in outlook 2010 they stay unread.
I have enabled following options in the reading pane:
Mark item as read when selection changes
Single key reading using space bar
I've also tried to enable the "Mark items as read when viewed in the Reading Pane" and set it to 5 seconds. But that also doesn't work.
I've also noticed that when I open an email, I go to sent items and then go back to my inbox, the emails are now marked as read? So it looks like my inbox doesn't refresh?

    Hi,
Does this issue happen to subfolders under Inbox?
We can try to start Outlook with /cleanviews switch to check if the problem is related to corrupt view. To do this, exit Outlook, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type
    outlook.exe /cleanviews and press Enter.
We can also try to open Outlook in safe mode to check if this issue is caused by problematic add-ins.
Press Windows key + R, type outlook.exe /safe in the Run box and press Enter. If the problem would be gone in safe mode, please go to File > Options > Add-ins and disable suspicious add-in to resolve the problem.
Please let me know the result.

  • A few emails in my inbox won't go away even when I delete them. They turn light grey and if I click on them again, it can only undelete. Will not move to trash in any way.

How do I permanently delete some emails which just turn light grey instead of going away from my inbox?

Choose the mailbox on the left, on the menu bar click mailbox, then click rebuild. That will usually get rid of emails that turn gray and stay in your mailbox.

  • Cannot flag email in shared mailbox

We have recently moved our mail services from an old Exchange server to the cloud (office365) and one of our shared mailboxes is causing troubles.
The users cannot flag the mails anymore (so no-one knows who is doing the follow-up). When flagging a mail, there is a pop-up saying "error: you don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation". Both users have "owner" rights
on said shared mailbox (no problems with the other shared mailboxes).
Going to file < account settings < account settings < exchange account < change < more settings < advanced < uncheck download shared folders (in effect removing local copy of the shared mailbox) and restarting outlook does not solve
    the issue.
Running outlook.exe /cleanviews (still no local copy of the problematic shared mailbox) does not solve it either.
    Any suggestion is welcome, thx.

    Hi,
Perform the same action on OWA, does this issue persist? This helps determine if the permission has been granted properly. If the issue doesn't occur on OWA, we can say it's purely an Outlook Client issue. If on OWA the issue persists, remove the shared
mailbox from the user account, remove and then re-add the permission for the user, add the shared mailbox again, check the result.
This issue may also occur if you have duplicate account setup in your Outlook profile, we can test with a new profile to setup your account:

I hope the information can be helpful.

  • Flagged emails won't leave flagged mailbox

So I'm operating on the latest OS. I have flagged emails in my flagged mailbox that won't leave. They were previously flagged but now they are unflagged but left in my flagged mailbox. Any suggestions?

The flag mailbox is a smart mailbox. Did you un-flag them in the original inbox?

  • Is there a way to show only flagged email on iOS Mail?

I use Exchange 2007 at work with Outlook 2010.  I also use my iPad to connect to my company Outlook Web Access.  On the iPad I am able to mark a message as flagged.  I use the flag on a message to indicate that there's some action that I need to take on the email.  After I skim my inbox and flag all the emails with actionable items in them I go to my smart folder in Outlook which shows only my flagged messages so I can focus on those with actionable items.  I noticed on IOS Mail there does not seem to be such smart folders and there seems to be no way to view only messages which are flagged.
Can someone please explain how to do this on the iPad.  It is very important to me.  In fact, it's so important, that I would switch to Windows Phone platform just to have this one feature.
    Thanks!

I too would love to filter my inbox down to just flagged emails - I'm on iPad 3 with latest iOS, though it seems latest OS is not the problem, but rather a simple oversight in usability, and more important productivity.
On the note of productivity, why does it take SO MANY clicks to flag an email on iPad mail? Have to hit Edit > mark the email > Mark > Flag. I count three superfluous taps there. There should be a swipe action on the left (much like the swipe and Delete on the right hand side of the email heading) for flagging. And a simple little flag symbol at the top to hit when I want to see only flagged mails. Productivity should be the name of the game.
I also realise that venting in this forum probably isn't the best place for it...

    Hey iphoneboy16
Create a Shared Photo Stream to get any missed photos that did not make it into the Photo Stream. Remember, when you turned on Photo Stream it will start to copy new photos taken at that point in time. It also only holds the pictures for 30 days and up to 1000 photos.

  • I would like to see flagged emails on my iPhone

I flag emails on my Macbook Pro in various folders but I can not see them on my iphone.  Is there a way to have flagged folders appear on the iPhone please?

Strange as it works for me, I can flag a message on my Kindle Fire & a flag appears in the same email on the iPhone & visa versa.
I assume the account uses imap & not pop on all your devices so I can only suggest that when you Mark a message as flagged on another device that you refresh the same account on your iPhone (by pulling down the screen) to see if it appears: unless you already do that & it makes no difference.

  • How to manage Shared Inbox Permissions with a Group

I am trying to manage a shared inbox access rights and send as permissions with a security group.  My server is a 2013 CU7.  What I did is create a mailbox called HR.  Then I created a security group called HR Group.  I then assigned
the HR Group to the HR Shared mailbox with the EAC and cmd-lets to allow HR Group fullaccess and send-as rights.  The permissions do not seem to be applied even though the group shows in the EAC mailbox delegation window.  When I go to access/send
as I get permission denied.  Is there a way to use groups for this?  When I explicitly give myself permission to the HR shared mailbox it works fine.  Any thoughts?

    Hi,
Please check the permissions that the HR group has on HR mailbox by the following command:
Get-MailboxPermission -Identity “HR” –User “HR group”
Please try to grant HR mailbox full access and send as permission to HR Group with the following command again to check this issue:
Add-MailboxPermission -Identity “HR” –User “HR group” -AccessRights “FullAccess” -InheritanceType All
Add-ADPermission -Identity "HR" -User “HR group” -AccessRights ExtendedRight -ExtendedRights "Send As"
And what do you mean Inbox Permission? We usually use the
Add-MailboxFolderPermission cmdlet to manage folder-level permissions within a user’s mailbox.
    Best Regards.

  • Flagged email messages in iOS7 changed?

When using iOS6 email I was able to flag an email message in any folder and it would appear in my Flagged folder in iOS. After upgrading to iOS 7 I found flagged email messages in my read folder that did not appear in the Flagged folder. After moving the messages to my Inbox they appeared in the Flagged folder.
Does anyone know why Apple changed the ability to flag an email and see it in the Flagged folder regardless of where the email is located. Seems like a backwards move to require that all flagged emails stay in the inbox folder.
This occurs in all mail accounts. iCloud, gmail, and exchange that I use.

Just reported it as a bug. Let's see what happens.
I'm pretty sure this used to work on iOS 6.. but it's not working under iOS 7, making flagged messages pretty useless.
It does, however, work just fine on MacOS X's Mail.app, so there's some inconsistency about what Flagged messages means here. Makes me think it's just something they missed in iOS 7 and it will be back..
..or they'll pull the functionality out of MacOS. :-)

  • Can you sort by flagged emails on mail application?

I am trying to figure out a way to sort or view only my flagged emails. Can any one suggest a solution or work around? Thank you.

I am not sure why you want to do this, but the following might work:
    1. Set up your MM email account as an IMAP account (which I'd advise in any event with multiple devices);
    2. Create a folder for Flagged items (ie, Inbox, Sent, Trash, Flagged);
    3. Create a  Rule to put a copy (or transfer) flagged messages to the new Flagged mailbox. You may need to do this on your mac, as that's the only place to mark messages as flagged;
    4. You may need to create an additional step to move items unflagged, or else create a Rebjild trigger;
    5. Make sure your iPad and mac are set up for the new IMAP account.
With IMAP, your iPad should then have a new Flagged messages folder, that will have all your messages then marked flagged. I think the hardest part will be getting the rules to move or copy messages to the Flagged folder working reliably. I don't think it can be a smart folder. Rather, you will have to create the smarts with reliable rules.
    Hope this helps.

  • HT1694 The text has disappeared from my emails in my inbox. What can I do to get the text back?

The text has disappeared from my emails in my inbox. What can I do to get the text back?

Try closing the Mail app via the taskbar and see if the email text shows when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't fix it they try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Insert date sent in flag email script

I need to insert the date sent into this flagged email script to make it more useful, just not sure how to do it:
set newline to ASCII character 12
set finalText to "EMAIL REMINDERS:" & newline
    tell application "Mail"
set theMessages to every message in inbox whose flagged status is true
repeat with i from 1 to number of items in theMessages
set thisMessage to item i of theMessages
set fromMsg to (sender of thisMessage as string)
set subjMsg to (subject of thisMessage as string)
                        set finalText to finalText & "FLAG: " & word 1 of fromMsg & " : " & subjMsg & " : " & newline
              end repeat
    end tell

  • Flagged Emails in iCloud?

How can I get a mailbox in iCloud with my emails flagged in mail on the desktop?

I see that too, but it is searching inboxes only, and the results are flagged emails in inboxes, not flagged messages that were placed in subfolders in Apple Mail on my iMac.
UPDATE: I see that it does eventually find the flagged emails in the other mailboxes. It is a workaround, but not the functionality I want. It also finds any email with the word flagged. Thanks for the suggestion.
