Flags and colors not taking (seems like a bug to me)

I'm seeing a bit of an issue I am not sure I understand.
I have a folder called
"creative" with four albums in it:
1
2
3
4
If I select all the images in the folder and TAG them and add a ORANGE COLOR these tags and colors show up on all the images in the Folder.
However, /some/ of the images in some of the folders have images that are showing up without the Orange Color and in some case there are images without the Flag or the Orange Color.
This is so confusing it seems like a bug to me.
What am I missing?

Hi. The first image is where I selected all the images and FLAGGED AND COLORED THEM.
The next two images show SUB-Albums in this folder where there are images that are either not flagged or not colored...
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15285654/all%20colored%20and%20flagged_FOLDER.png
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15285654/not%20flagged_ALBUM.png
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15285654/not%20colored_ALBUM.png
Is this something I am not understanding or not doing correctly?
Thank you!

  • Ipad calander - seems like a bug

    it seems like a bug: a whole day event in ipad calander appears 1 day earlier than the event day.
    Whether the event was generated on MS Outlook and was synchronized to the ipad, and wheater the event was generated on the ipad while not connected to the computer.
    New event which is not a whole day event appears correctly (whether the event was generated on ipad or synchronized).The problem occurs only with a whole day event.

    I've just tried to replicate this on my iPad and it works correctly rather than as you indicate. I believe that if you use mobileme and the birthdays calendar then from memory it either used to or still does add the birthdays a day before the actual date.

  • Applying Flags and Colors in Impromptu Slideshow?

    Before I put this up as a features request, I wanted to see if I'm simply missing how to do this. I like using the Impromptu Slideshow feature in Library to apply stars, but that's the only thing I seem to be able to apply. I would like to apply flags and/or colors while in this mode too, but I can't seem to get it to work. Is there a way currently? Why allow stars to be applied but not other methods of sorting? Am I missing a magic button or keystroke?

  • Flags and colors

    This is contains both questions and suggestions to Adobe.
    1. FLAGS: in Lightroom 3, I found it so useful to have flags disappear in collections.  This meant that I could flag my picks, create a collection with those picks, and then start again to create a smaller collection, and so on.  Now that the flags are global, I feel lost.  QUESTION: How can I create a sublist of picks from a set of picks (when I'm already using stars and colors in other ways, and both are limited in number any way).  SUGGESTION TO ADOBE: i) At least allow the option of having global or local flags; ii) I agree with another suggestion I read that Lightroom have both local and global flags to use separately.
    2. QUESTION: Is there any way to use more than one color identifier on a photo?  This would be so useful.  For example, I may want to use a color to indicate that my husband likes a certain photo, and I may want to also use a color to indicate that I'd like to print that photo.  QUESTION: How can I do this?  SUGGESTION TO ADOBE: find a way to allow more than one color identifier per photo.  Multiple indicators could be so useful: eg. to indicate things like: I've used this photo in a presentation, I would like to print this photo, someone else likes this photo, etc.

    Ad 1: local flags are gone from LR, sad as it is. No ideas if feature requests to set it optional in catalog settings will be implemented...
    Ad 2: I would use keywords for that, which I would set to "not export". Yes, I know, keywords ar not so visually easy as colour labels, you would need to either filter for them. Or, if so regularly used as your example, create smart collections: "to be printed", "liked by husband", and maybe even one with both.
    A work-around rarely is so nice as the intended route would have been... but then - it works.

  • Macbook pro not starting(Seems like kernel panic)

    Hi,
    I am using a 2013 macbook pro 13(md 101) running os x mavericks. Last night i connected a wireless mouse(hp x3500) and it worked fine at that moment.
    I did a normal shutdown. Next day when i tried starting the macbook, it didn't start at all, no screen, no message, in fact it seemed like the laptop is not powering up. Did a bit of googling and tried SMC bypass and it started the laptop and i managed to get this screen
    Now i thought booting the mac in safe mode might work, so i did a force shutdown by long pressing the power button.
    But now, when i am trying to boot the machine again with or without smc bypass, it's not working.
    Not sure what's the real issue, any help is really appreciated.

  • Why does a feature of CFLOCK seem like a bug?

    I searched this forum for discussions about cflock
    and read the livedocs at
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/coldfusion/8/htmldocs/help.html?content=sharedVars_20.html.
    This reading is on top of me thinking I already knew
    everything about using the cflock tag.
    Apparently, I am not understanding a very critical
    aspect of the cflock tag when locking the session scope.
    My issue is regarding one user, one session, multiple
    and concurrent requests arriving at the CF8 server
    from the same user session.
    Meaning, a web page that uses ajax, frames, pop-ups,
    or the user hitting ctrl-n, will generate multiple
    requests to the CF8 server using the same session.
    Based on my understanding, using type="exclusive" will
    effectively single-thread the access to code between
    the lock tag. So my question is:
    Why doesn't <cflock scope="session" type="exclusive" ...
    >
    single-thread the access to the code between the cflock
    tag?
    If you are kind enough to respond, I would really
    appreciate an explanation why the current behavior
    in CF8 is the more correct behavior. If the scope
    is changed from session to application or server, it
    will infact single-thread the access/execution.
    So why is this not the case when the scope is session?
    I arrived at this problem because I was trying
    to explain to someone the difference between:
    <cflock scope="session" type="exclusive" ... >
    and
    <cflock scope="session" type="readOnly" ... >
    Based on my simple test and what I'm seeing, I discovered
    I myself don't know the difference!
    I know how to re-write the code to do exactly
    what I want to do. I just can't seem to wrap
    my head around why the cflock tag is implemented
    this way (with respect to session and exclusivity).
    However, it is more likely that I have a bug in my
    simple test code...?
    If you're interested, here's the code I used to
    confirm/test my assumption:
    Thank you for reading this post to the end!

    Please be sure that I am very grateful that you both
    are responding to my post. I am having difficulty
    articulating exactly the issue since it may be a
    feature of the CFLOCK tag and not a bug.
    I thank you for being patient.
    > You don't actually say what you're seeing to
    > suggest that it's not working to spec.
    What I'm seeing (with respect to the session scope
    and exclusivity) is that the CFLOCK tag is not
    behaving as documented in livedocs.
    In particular, I'm referring to this statement in
    livedocs:
    "Exclusive - Allows single-thread access to the CFML
    constructs in its body. The tag body can be executed
    by one request at a time. No other requests can start
    executing code within the tag while a request has an
    exclusive lock. ColdFusion issues exclusive locks on
    a first-come, first-served basis."
    It occurred to me that it would be somewhat trivial
    enough to prove this statement as being true. My
    attached code was the beginnings of my attempt to
    actually see single-threading at work.
    However, what I actually observed was that this statement
    from livedocs is actually false when using scope="session"
    and type="exclusive".
    Meaning, it did NOT "single-thread access to the CFML
    constructs in its body".
    > I don't see anything to suggest what you're seeing.
    > ... I don't know what your evidence is to suggest
    > anything's wrong
    My attached code is the beginnings of an attempt to
    gather some evidence. I was attempting to cause the
    first request/browser to simulate a process that
    takes 30 seconds. While the first request is performing
    it's 30 second long process, I caused the second request/
    browser to simulate a process that takes zero seconds
    to perform.
    My expectation was that the second request/browser will
    not have an opportunity to begin processing since
    the first request is holding an exclusive lock.
    What I actually observed was that second request was
    able to perform/continue without waiting or being blocked.
    However, when I changed the scope from session to
    application or server, I finally did observe the second
    request waiting/being blocked. If I switch the scope back
    to scope="session", the second request continues without
    waiting/being blocked.
    It is really hard for me to believe that there is a bug
    here. I really do think that someone went out of their
    way to allow this feature. I just wish I knew the rational
    behind allowing this feature (and yet NOT documenting this
    abnormal behavior in livedocs).
    Thank you again for responding and taking the time to
    modify and run my sample code (code must be modified
    to experience the abnormal behavior). I did take note
    of your mention that you experienced some "interesting"
    behavior.

  • UWC/CE 6.3 and Access Manager 7.1 SSO sometimes fails (seems like a bug)

    PREAMBULA: I started writing this post thinking that our AM SSO setup was at fault in some step. As I was gathering data, checking the doc-links and config files and finally sniffed the servers for HTTP dialogs, I grew pretty sure there's a bug in UWC/CE, AM SDK or Web Server Policy Agent, whatever implements the AM SSO session checking.
    In short, as written below, our "sunmail" server can POST a broken cookie to AM server, if the cookie originally contained a "plus" character. The "plus" is replaced by a "space", invalidating the session check. As we know, "+" is often used in URLs to "escape" the space character. Perhaps some URL cleanup routine backfired here. I have double-checked, it is not the reverse proxy on "psam" breaking things. It is "sunmail" (UWC/CE or Policy Agent, don't know for certain) supplying the broken request. On the few occasions when the AM cookie contains no "plus" characters, the SSO works like a charm (also checked by a sniffer). Whenever there is a "plus", it breaks.
    Is there some known bug or workaround that matches this description?
    Nevertheless, for completeness' sake I kept the description of our setup. Maybe it's at fault after all :)
    We have an installation of JCS5 with the latest patches as of early July 2008. And as the subject implies, we have problems with AM SSO in UWC/CE web-interface. I have reported them before, then they seemed fixed (not occuring for several tests in a row), but as time has shown, something wrong is still there.
    So I'll try to go into deeper detail now, as we've may have overlooked some nuance... Then again, as my sniffer research below shows, this may be an engine bug and these setup details are irrelevant.
    Our setup is split into several Solaris 10 full-root zones hosted on several servers, some of the components are enroute to HA (perhaps we made some mistakes on this part of the way?)
    So, we have the following software stack:
    1) two MMR Directory Servers (DSEE 6.3 = DSEE 6.2 from JCS5 + 125278-07__DSEE_6.3__x86x64 + 125277-07__DSEE_6.3__x86_sol9 patches) working in zones on two different servers. Except for one time when a manually forced ZFS rollback corrupted one of the server instances, no problems here.
    2) two zones with Directory Proxy Servers (6.3, exact versions as above) running at port 389 provide the clients with an illusion that they have a stable Directory Server, even if one of the actual servers is currently rebooting ;)
    These DPS zones are hosted on two different servers as well and are primarily used by LDAP clients (JCS components) running in other zones on the same respective servers.
    3) A zone with Sun Web Server 7.0U1 and Access Manager 7.1 (+ 126357-01__AM71_x86 patch) and Delegated Admin 6.4-4.01 (from JCS5 + 121582-18__COMMCLI64__x86 patch).
    At the moment there is one such zone (named "cos-psam-01.domain.ru" in the logs below), but we expect(-ed) it to become two similar zones as per AM HA setup.
    Zones listed in (1-3) use private IP numbers, they belong in our internal DMZ.
    Zones listed in (4-5) below use public (routed) IP numbers, they belong in our external DMZ.
    4) A zone with Sun Web Server 7.0U1 used primarily as a reverse-proxy server (optionally with a load-balancer libpassthrough.so plugin) successfully used for other hosted projects. One of its configurations now passes connections from an externally routed IP address published as "psam.domain.ru" to "cos-psam-01.domain.ru", per AM HA setup, so HTTP clients believe they work with an Access Manager instance. This zone has a backend interface with a private IP address to communicate with the actual AM instance.
    In AM configuration (both LDAP and file-based) we have configured a site ID with the publicly known name and mentioned both names (psam and cos-psam-01) in organization's realm/dns aliases.
    5) A zone with the rest of the Sun Java Communications Suite 5, as in Messaging Server 6.3 (6.3-6.03 64-bit: ci-5.0-1.03_solx86_x64__Messaging_Server_6.3-2 + patch 126480-09__MSG63__x86-64), UWC/CE 6.3 (from JCS5 + 122794-17__UWC63-4.01_core__x86), Instant Messaging 7.2 (from JCS5 + 118790-29__IM72__x86-1 + 118787-28__IM72__x86-2), Calendar Server 6.3 (from JCS5 + 121658-28__iCS63__x86). The web-components (UWC/CE, IM, /httpbind) are deployed in a Sun Web Server 7.0U1 as well.
    This zone is named "sunmail.domain.ru" and has a routed IP address for direct external access to its servicess.
    The AM SDK part is also patched (126357-01__AM71_x86); it points to the load-balancer name ("psam.domain.ru") as an actual AM server.
    # imsimta version

    SunOS sunmail 5.10 Generic_127112-07 i86pc i386 i86pc
    While setting up this server set we tried to use AM SSO as the user login method, but it works unreliably.
    "Unreliably" means that while most of the time entering a correct uid and password in Access Manager login page ("http://psam.domain.ru/amserver/UI/Login") does redirect a user back to "http://sunmail.domain.ru/uwc/auth" along with a new cookie, and the user is redirected again to his or her mailbox, sometimes the user receives the UWC/CE login page. Entering the same uid and password here does log him in, but it breaks the whole point of SSO and only increases the end-user routine required to log in :\
    We have also seen the "missing mail tab" problem - if the users point the browser to any hostname different from "sunmail.domain.ru" (i.e. www.mail.domain.ru which is equivalent in DNS), they have only the Address book, Calendar and Options tabs; no webmail. So far this is resolved by Policy Agent forcing The One name of the server.
    Here's the configuration we did specifically for AM SSO:
    1) in AMConfig.properties of "sunmail" and "cos-psam-01" we set up
    com.iplanet.am.cookie.encode=false
    am.encryption.pwd=<the same value>
    all hostname-related parameters point to "psam.domain.ru"
    2) in AMConfig.properties of "cos-psam-01" a number of FQDN equivalence entries are added (so it does not redirect to a server hostname unknown to visitors):
    com.sun.identity.server.fqdnMap[publicname-or-ip]=psam.domain.ru
    com.sun.identity.server.fqdnMap[cos-psam-01.domain.ru]=cos-psam-01.domain.ru
    3) in "msg.conf" on "sunmail" (entries added via configutil):
    local.webmail.sso.amcookiename = iPlanetDirectoryPro
    local.webmail.sso.amnamingurl = http://psam.domain.ru:80/amserver/namingservice
    local.webmail.sso.singlesignoff = yes
    local.webmail.sso.uwcenabled = 1
    service.http.ipsecurity = no
    (perhaps some more options are required? Looking for confirmation about: local.webmail.sso.uwclogouturl local.webmail.sso.uwccontexturi local.webmail.sso.uwchome service.http.allowadminproxy )
    4) Configured Web Policy Agent for Sun Web Server, so that users without an AM session are required to get one. Set up per [http://msg.wikidoc.info/index.php/AM_redirection_using_Policy_Agent], except that com.sun.am.policy.agents.config.notenforced_list points to the many names our server can go known by.
    5) Updated the logout URL in /opt/SUNWuwc/webmail/main.js:

    8) And then "sunmail" POSTs a broken cookie to "psam" (note the space in mid-text, where the "plus" sign was previously).
I looked over the large XML responses to the two previous requests, whenever they mention the session cookie value, the "plus" is there.

    There have been a few reports of the same behaviour with other customers - specifically with the handling of the encoding of "+" characters to " ". It relates to how cookie encoding/decoding is performed (as you have already observed).
    The solution for these customers was the following:
    => AM server/client side:
    Ensure that com.iplanet.am.cookie.encode=false in AMConfig.properties and AMAgent.properties on all systems.
    => AM client (UWC) side:
    - Set <property name="encodeCookies" value="false"/> in /var/opt/SUNWuwc/WEB-INF/sun-web.xml. This will prevent UWC from trying to urldecode the cookie it receives and therefore stops it turning the + into a space e.g.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE sun-web-app PUBLIC '-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Sun ONE Application Server 7.0 Servlet 2.3//EN' 'file:///net/wajra.india.sun.com/export/share/dtd/sun-web-app_2_3-1.dtd'>

  • My Ipad 2 is brand new and is not taking a charge when plugged in, is there a reason for this?

    We have been running off of the orriginal charge for 2 weeks and are now down to 9% battery life. We plug it in at night and have tried severel different sockets in case that was the issue. Did our ipad2 come with a faulty charger? Is this a warranty item?

    Did our ipad2 come with a faulty charger? Is this a warranty item?
    Sounds like it and yes it's a warranty item.  Try plugging it into your computer (turned on) and leaving overnight.  It will say not charging but it should charge very slowly, enough to get you by until you can get a new charger.

  • I spilled water on my ipod touch and I have tried the rice remedy and it doesn't seem like its ever going to power on again, so my question is is there a way i can access my pictures that were on it?

    what can i do to retrieve my pictures that were on my ipod.. it no longer comes on due to water spilling on it? i had a icloud storage back up

    If iTunes does not see your iPod then your only hope is a data recovery company. Not cheap.
    However, you may be able to get some photos by:

    - If they are in an iPod backup then restore another iPOd, iPhone or iPad from that backup. See the restore topic of:

  • Firefox not responding, seems like other browser is hijacking inquiry, will not let me reset, states cannot reset because one or more windows are open

    when i type in a search, firefox says it's not responding. Although firefox still showing not responding I am taken to websites that I did not request. I tried to reset firefox but it said there is a problem because one or more windows tabs are open even though they are not.
    What is cloudnet? just one of the items that pops up on the bottom right of the screen during my search

    Getting redirected to unwanted websites can be caused by an add-on, or by external malware, or by a change to your connection settings.
    (1) Check Extensions
    (A) In Firefox:
    Try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
    In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable. Or if it's clearly crap, remove.
    Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
    (B) In the Windows Control Panel
    If there is no remove button on the Add-ons page, typically the extension was installed externally and can be removed through the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program.
    If you click the "Installed on" column heading to group the entries by date, you may find some undisclosed bundle items that snuck in with some free software. Take out as much trash as possible.
    (2) Malware scans
    Our support article lists free tools other Firefox users have found helpful: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]]. If you notice a pattern of search engine result links being diverted to unrelated pages, this can be a stubborn infection involving a rootkit, so try the TDSS Killer first.
    (3) Connection settings
    Normally Firefox piggybacks on your IE connection settings. You can change that (or malware might have changed it). To view and modify:
    "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button
    Change to "No proxy" and see whether that makes any difference.

  • Seems like event bug in Flash and AIR

    I am creating a small demo for AIR in which the AIR application loads an external swf file and detect the text field details when user click on it.
    The text fields can be on the main timeline and few in some movieclips (also in nested movieclips).
    I am able to achive this to one level. But is the swf loaded loads another swf in side it then I am not able to detect the textfields in it.
    I think the event is not generated for it.
    also
    when i am runniing the AIR file in flash environment (In Flash IDE) i am able to get this information
    But when i install the AIR application it give me the text details for level one swf but not the swf under it.

  • FCP and Color not talking in Leopard

    Hi all,
    We have just installed Leopard in our Mac Pro. I sent my sequence from FCP to Color but apparently I don't see my sequence in Color.
    I tried doing the same procedure in Tiger OS and it worked.
    Any help would be very much appreciated

    You may need to re-install COLOR as there is a good possibility that you have corrupted the COLOR/FCP hand-off.
    There may also be an issue with your prior User Preferences being ignored, as that path may be broken.

  • Music files missing? Seems like iTunes bug...

    I recently noticed that many of my music files are missing, and that the selection appears to be somewhat random. They are retained in iTunes, but have the ! next to them. So, doing the logical thing, I tried to locate them, and the files themselves are missing, but their iTunes link is preserved.
    In an effort to continue to do the logical thing, I then systematically went through my CD library, re-loading all the missing material back into iTunes. This was extremely tedious, but appeared to fix most of the issues (obviously, the ones were the CD case was mysteriously empty were left unfixed). The files played fine at that time. Then I carried the computer upstairs to my home office, where I proceeded to plug it in to do a time machine backup on the newly transferred files.
    Now here's where it gets really strange... The time machine backup went swimmingly without hitches, to a relatively new USB 3.0 drive. I then set about organizing the music, so that it would all be in the iTunes music folder (User(me)/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/ directory, the one automatically made by iTunes on installation). Many of the songs linked perfectly, and I didn't have to re-link the songs to their new location, as one might expect. So, I then thought I would sit down to enjoy this new library that I had spent a day bringing up to speed and organizing again. And, low and behold, songs are missing--again. Not just the ones that I couldn't replace, but some of the newly replaced ones. For example, Track 12 of an album might be missing, but the files for Tracks 1-11 and 13+ are all present.
    As other people who have experienced this problem previously have noted, there does seem to be a slight preference for songs whose artist and/or title include accented characters, although my detection ability is more limited now, as I have since lost many of these original CDs, and so the songs were not replaced within the library. But, while they account for about 5-10% of my overall library, they accounted for about 50% of the songs missing at the beginning of yesterday's overhaul.
    And what makes matters really strange is that when I tried to look up the missing files--which I know myself to have imported yesterday--in the fresh time machine backup I made right after importing all that music, they are all missing.
    So, it appears that iTunes is systematically deleting files at random. While I'm tempted to try to put the missing ones back on (fewer are "re-missing" than I was able to replace, so it's a little better), this doesn't exactly seem fruitful, given the fresh deletions.
    The original music files were encoded a long time ago, and have been copied and re-copied (and recopied... ad infinitium). It appears that everything that I encoded on the really old system (before iTunes really became popular for this sort of thing) were preserved; however, the issue seems to temporally localize around the time I started using iTunes for most of my music encoding needs (except, of course, for the little issue about files that were imported less than 24 hours ago).
    A few other notes:
    - I did not delete these files accidentally. I'm more careful than that.
    - The files are not there (they're not just hidden--I already checked for this).
    - iTunes has retained the link to where it believes the file should be.
    - The issue appears to have originally arisen quite some time ago, as these files are systemically missing from all backups made by time machine. However, it wasn't all that long ago that I deleted my entire library and started over (about 2 years, so the files should have been natively present on 2 of my macs) by re-importing all the files in my music folder. This newly created library has since become the "master" library that is propigated to all my other computers (although I don't trust iCloud for obvious reasons, given this fiasco--Thanks, Apple...)
    - I have not elected to have iTunes manage my music folder, or automatically copy things to the iTunes music folder when importing (although this is the default destination, so they are imported there, but not duplicated there when imported from elsewhere on the hard drive).
    - I am currently running OS X 10.6.8 on an Intel Mac (yeah, yeah, I'd upgrade the OS, but software that cost more than the computer isn't 10.8--or even 10.7--compatible).
    If anyone has any thoughts on how to prevent this issue in the future, I'd really appreciate it. I think the music files themselves are just... gone. But, I would like to be able to have them stick around for a bit when I get around to dedicating another day to trying to import them from their CD.
    Does anyone know a piece of third party software that allows you to sync and update iDevices? Hopefully one that doesn't take over my music library and decide to delete things of its own accord?

    I was lucky to be able to use a PC, that after trying numerous times actually read the external hdd, I quickly copied all files over to a backup hdd and recovered all files. After that I ended up in contact with Western Digital about the incident and they recommended to completely erase (7-pass erase) of the hdd, which ended up taking over 5 days to do. They gave me no reason as to "Why" it would have happened but if I erase and reformatted of the hdd and the problem reoccurred they recommended to get the unit replaced.
    I was lucky to recover all my files.....keep trying on different computers if you can, and copy what you can get hold of. The 7-pass erase will delete pretty much every trace of information on the hdd with no chance of recovery.
    So far since the incident its been running ok but I not longer trust the hdd to be stable. Not a simple nor quick process / solution I'm afraid.
    Good luck!
    Once you have recovered your files (or as many as you can get hold of) and ready to erase the hdd:
    (THIS WILL ERASE ALL YOUR DATA, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP BEFORE PROCEEDING)
    Connect the drive directly to the Mac, open Disk Utility.
    Select the drive and click on the "Erase" tab Select the "7-times zeros" to completely erase the drive.
    Once the erase have completed format the drive to your selection.
