Flare Effect?Help!

What i am trying to do is have a character shooting a flare, the flare effect flies across the screen which has faded to black and have the flare light up the red title text <which is done in photoshop>...I know there is a flare effect but i do not know how to approach this so that the flare will highlight (like a light in the dark) the text as it moves across the screen..<br />Thanks alot

A bit OT but Craig : theese cc_effects, where do I find them ? They should also be present in AE - but nowhere to be found. Something with my installation or are theese thirdyparts ?

How do I create this special lens flare effect?

Hey all!
So I was wondering how to create a lens flare-like effect. I should mention that I already know how to make the circle lens flare effect in after effects but I'm looking for more of a colored "wash" lens flare effect.
The effect is in this video starting at 00:16 seconds, with the lady in the car and the pink/yellow hues bouncing around.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Or at least pointing me towards a tutorial or just the name of the effect so i can find a tut.

First created shape layer that is Close to the base color you want for your flair. Second add fast blur or Gaussian blur of a value that is about half the size of your shape layer. Change the blend mode to add, duplicate, increase the blurb about 50%, duplicate repeat until you get what you want. Many times when creating this kind of an artificial lens flare effect I would use many different colors in the same flare. Sometimes I will make the layers 3-D and move them around in 3-D space.
The only other really good option is to buy some stock footage of real lens flares and colorize them using color grading effects.
by the way, one color grading and creating "light" affects you should always work with 32-bit projects.

I co-edit video in Adobe Premiere CS 6 with footage H-264.
Video camera Sony NEX VG10, format MTS, AVCHD. I ' m working on laptop TOSHIBA QOSMIO X775 ( intel -core i5 ) with the system, Windows 7 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M GPU with Optimus.
Buying effect lens flares ( Quick Time Movie item type) , from EBAY, I have been on for many videos of me.
And on yesterday when was imported lens flares effect of myvideo in ADOBE PREMIERE CS6, its failed. Only audio can be imported.
Theres no effect. I try many times but still fail. None at all texts error. But if I click on the flares in MY VIDEO, its working, no problem at all...!
Only fail in Adobe. This was happened last year, I ve forgot how I fix it. (Installed Quick Time Movie software ?)
I ve installed Quick Time Movie yesterday , but there is absolutely no reaction.

After effects help & adobe air

i'm in the after effects cs5 application (creative suite production premium) on a power mac 10.5.8 and when i go to the help pull down and click on after effects help, i get the following error message:
don't even know what abobe air is. i'm assuming the after effects help has to run through this app. is this something i need to install and what does it do? i hate hate running unnecessary programs. thanks.

You can use After Effects Help without using the AIR application. You can either use the HTML version of After Effects Help on the Web or the PDF version of After Effects Help.

How to create animated flare effect on photo in Adobe Premiere 11?

Hello Community Folks,
I'm pretty new to using Adobe Premiere 11, so please bear with me on this question. I'm creating a music video, for fun, using mostly photos for the visuals. I want to apply a lens flare effect on one of the photos in my timeline, and "animate" it so that the flare happens at a certan point in the timeline and then disappears. Can you tell me how to do that. Step by step instruction would be best for me, if you are OK doing that for me. Thanks!

You can Cut your Clip, say twice - where you want the Lens Flare to Appear, and where you want it to disappear - giving you three segments of the Clip. The first would be with no Lens Flare Effect, the second with it, and then the third without it.
One can then Keyframe the Lens Flare, if they need to.

Moving lens flares effect! help!

Hi guys
Im trying to do a moving lens flare kind of effect. Ive seen it done in lots of videos but I cant seem to be able to get it to work!
So what im talking about is where theres words in the middle of the screen and theres 2 lens flares, one under the words and a smaller one above the words. And then the light from the lens flares move left to right or vice versa.
Can someone pls pls help me with this!

Forgot to mention that i have tried the lens flare generator which is exactly the shape/size/colour, however cant seem to get it to move or do anything else!

Open the lens flare into the viewer go to the controls tab and to the point in time in which you want the animation to start. Click the diamond keyframe button for the property you want to animate, center, intensity, size, whatever. To set the center click the cross-hair button in the controls, then mouse down in the canvas and drag to position. Then go to a later point in time and change the parameters you want to change. New keyframes will be added.

How do I create a sparkle or flare effect?

I have a client that would like a sparkle to come of his teeth sort of like a Mr. Clean ad. Just a brief little sparkle sort of thing with a little twisting action would be perfect. Any suggestions?

A quick way to do this in FCP 7 is to select a lens flare from the Generator Button, the button that is on the lower right of the viewer (with the "A" on it).
Choose Render > Lens flare

This will load a lens flare into the viewer. Edit it to the track above the video you want to place the sparkle on for about the duration you want it to be on. Then Control - Click on that clip in the timeline and from the drop down menu, and select Composite Mode > Add.
Double click on the clip of the lens flare in the timeline and, using the motion tab and controls tabs for the clip that are in the viewer, you can adjust the look of the effect so that it resizes, twirls and fades.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 Blend Effects HELP !!!

hey is there someone who know how to view already applied blend effects the bad news is that I have the portable version and there is no other file except the .png file what I create with saving the layer ??? please help [removed private info]

portable version of what? Photoshop? there's no such thing (pirated copies don't count). And in case that you're talking about the Portable Network Graphics (PNG) file format, Photoshop flattens the image when saving to it so there's no way to recover the applied Layer Styles

Default AS3 Text component bounce effect help

Pasting your code right into my Flash file works well for me. Are you able to see the text in a black color? Are you able to change everything else except for the color?

Effect Help!

I need to do an video effect where I can take color footage, and desaturate each color individually except for blues so you basically get black and white except anything that was blue is still blue. In photoshop you can do this with the Hue/and saturation sliders. Does anyone know how to do this or could you point me to a plug in that would enable me to create this effect?

Create a "Solar Flare" Effect

Hi,
I am currently using Adobe Photoshop CS and I am trying to create something that looks like a solar eclipse. See these pictures for examples:

I'd like to first start with simple shapes like circles and squares, and then maybe move to more complex shapes.

There are numerous ways to do it. You can set the shape into a layer on top of the "effect" and then use either a brush (by hand is hardest, I don't recommend it) or you can select the shape and then in the layer below it, use the outer glow from CS layer effects. That way, you get the backlight glow without it bleeding into the shape.
There's also Alien Skin's Eyecandy filter set "Impact" which has a Gradient Glow filter that allows you to put multiple colors in the "eclipse".

How can I download After Effects CS6 now that After Effects CC has come out? And is After Effects CS6 now free?
I'm wondering this as I don't have this right system for After Effects CC to run on my Macbook.
