Flash 10.1 errors

Hi
last week my htc desire updated to android 2.2 that includes adobe flash 10.1 all good i thought until i went to some of the sites i normally go to and found that when the flash player loads in the screen it is very jerky and the flash item i have loaded will not respond to touch input now this all worked fine on 2.1 that used a htc flash player.
It ain't all flash screens that don't work just very heavy flash screens with lots going on the worst for me is a facebook app called mafia wars that is now totally unplayable.
So just wondering is adobe aware of these problems and working on a fix.
Thanks for any input.

Hi, well that sounds like quite an ordeal. Your Flash files are located in C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash  Open Flash with a right click and post back all files listed there. It may be a good idea to just confirm that they are correct.
Then Using Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Manage addons and Toolbars & Extensions and look for a box Show all add ons.
You should find Shockwave Flash Object..ActiveX Control..Flash10h.ocx and make sure it is enabled.
The Flash files and that ActiveX Control is Flash Player.
Now if you use another browser, you may want to post that version info as well. Also, what service pack do you have with XP?
Thanks,

I just downloaded trial version of Adobe Flash CS4 (Englisth|Windows) but after unpacking the archive and starting setup.exe I am getting error msg (see att). Are there any error logs with more information??

    Thanks for any help!

There is no fix. Flash Pro is not compatible with Win 8 even in CS6. There are dependencies with Flash Player components and the way it's handled in Win 8 prevents it from working liek the app expects.

  • Adobe Flash Player 10 Errors (Safari and Games)

    Hello,
Sometimes, when watching Flash videos on YouTube or other sites that have flash videos embedded, Adobe Flash Player 10 errors come up with the option to either 'Dismiss All' or 'Continue' is provided. Sometimes, Safari crashes and I have to relaunch when I choose either option, but sometimes the video keeps playing when I press either button and nothing happens.
Usually, this problem hasn't been affecting me but I recently got the Sims 3 and when I'm at the Game Launcher window, before I can click the play button, this Flash Error pops up. When I click Dismiss All/Continue, the game says I am running an unauthorized version and there will be limited features. Then the game quits. This only happens sometimes but is quite annoying.
    The error that occurred was:
    +Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2036: Load Never Completed.+
Can someone help me out here?
Do I need to reinstall the Flash plugin or Flash CS4?
    Thanks!

    Hi
Yes, a reinstall of Flash would be a good start. First, uninstall Flash. You can get the uninstaller here.
Next, install the latest version of Flash.
Once the installation is complete, via the Finder: Applications>Utilities folder. Open Disk Utility, select your HD on the left, then "repair permissions".
When complete, restart the computer, then try Flash in Safari.

  • Adobe Flash 10c.ocx error message?

Well, my sister and I are REALLY getting angry at whatEVER this flash thing is.  I run my business on the road -am gone a LOT.  Tonight when I got home, I had a very important eMail letter to send.  Three other windows were open -NOTHING PERTAINING TO ADOBE!!!  All of a sudden, it wiped ALL of them out, shut them down and left me with this little number above, "Adobe Flash 10c.ocx" error message, to which crap vista windows informed me, "Internet Explorer has encourntered a problem with an add-on and needs to close."  No warning ... just the whole letter and ALL the other pages, GONE!
If I want to do something with Adobe, I'll do it, otherwise I expect it to sit quietly in the background and keep quiet!  I have enough problems with this vista "system" -WORST ever invented.  Just what vista needed, something else so it can cause more headaches!
I found this forum, and I HOPE this will be fixed VERY shortly.  Thanks for letting me say.
Thank God I have almost total recall when such a thing happens, but I really do not appreciate it happening in the middle of a message so important!

    1. Download & use the flash Uninstaller from here: it
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?ext...
    2. Reboot to clear out any left over ocx files.
    3. Rescan using Secunia PSI - if there are any insecure Flash elements left what is the path to them? U should not proceed to stage 4 until all U clear any problems found.(The overview page may look a little odd because it uses Flash for the pictorials) you can download it from www.secunia.com it's a easy tool to use just follow the commands
    4. Reinstall the latest Internet Explorer Flash Player from here: ( make sure you copy the link below and open internet explorer and paste it into the address bar and press enter then download the file and it should install fine.)
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/
3A.If U are also using Firefox, Opera and other Gecko-based browsers U need this link as well: ( If you are using this browser just follow the same commands as above just copy the link below and paste it into the address bar and press enter then download the file and it shold install fine)
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_fire...
    5. Go to add/remove & double check Adobe have not installed the useless Adobe Download Manager - if U see an entry remove it.
Hope it helps for you i had the same problems took me days to work out what was wrong, let me know if it fix it. Melissa

  • Flash Player Security error when publishing HTML files

I am new to the Captivate world and am just in love with the
features - but I have been having a very difficult time publishing
my "movies". I have 8 files that are all called upon in one movie
(like a table of contents). I have abandon the though of publishing
each as an EXE file - and have decided to go the HTML route.
However when I try to run the published HTML file I get an Adobe
Flash Player Security error - saying "Adobe Flash Player has
stopped a potentially unsafe operation." It then says that the
local SWF file is trying to communicate with the Internet-enabled
    HTM file.
Can someone please tell me what this means? We are using
Captivate for distance learning as well as internal - so I can't
know for sure what the end-users will be using when the files are
    used.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to our community, Rachel
Where are you running your movie from? If you are planning on
running them from a server, there should be no need to worry about
your end user seeing those messages. However, if you are planning
on each user copying them to their own hard drive or if you are
running from a CD-ROM, you may need to perform some trickery to
    make them work without issue.
The message is occurring because there are links in some of
the files that point to internet resources and the Flash player is
seeing that as a potential security risk. So it is blocking the
action until you pat it on the head and assure it the world will
not, in fact, end if it shows you the content.

We all can learn from this. Whenever you get stuck in a customer-service situation that goes nowhere, as soon as you become aware of the futility, get the name and employee ID of the person, then say, "I don't mean to be rude, I think we're both wasting our time. Perhaps you weren't trained for this issue, or perhaps your system isn't displaying the correct information. It doesn't matter, because I'm not getting proper customer support this way. Please ESCALATE this to your highest-level manager IMMEDIATELY. If that person isn't availabe, ESCALATE me to that person's highest-level manager. If you haven't been given the proper training, you can use this to inform your manager that you need the training. Thanks for trying to help. I appreciate it. I have copied and saved this chat session. NOW PLEASE ESCALATE THIS CASE AS I HAVE REQUESTED ABOVE. I'm waiting now... "
The point is that you're a customer, and the company needs customers, so the individual who's failing to deliver good service needs to be identified so they can be properly trained, and so that problems in the system can also be identified, but more important is that you get the service you're entitled to.
If you search the forum for similar questions, you'll see the kind of information that the volunteer users like yourself on the forum need to know about your system and files involved, so they can help you better.

  • Shockwave Flash and freeze errors in Forms Central

Everyone on my team is having issues opening Forms Central - Shockwave Flash and freeze errors. Is this an error with everyone?  Its affecting 26 people.

    Nicole,
I am sorry to hear you are having problems logging in. I just tested this function on Safari and Chrome and had no problem. Can you tell me about the systems that are experincing the problem. What OS? What Broswer? What version of Flash is installed? Are the systems individually managed or managed by a central IT group?

  • BBC Embedded Flash Player - Playback Error

    When trying to view video content on the BBC Online websites using an embedded player, I receive the following error regardless of what browser/OS I use;
This content doesn't seem to be working. Please try again later.
    The Flash Player detailed error information reads;
    Error code : 1024
    Severity : critical
Description : No further playback is possible following a mediation error
    Responsibility : MediaSelector
Could anyone advise a solution to this problem? I have Flash Player 16.0.0.305 installed.

I have this exact same issue.  I've recently built 3 computers for friends, this one I'm typing from being the third.
They're all using windows 7 64bit, all have the same hardware and the same basic software. I've built them about a month apart and the first 2 work perfectly.  This last one is having nothing but troubles with the exact issues described by the O.P. except my issues are across all browsers.
IE will play all youtube videos WITHOUT FLASH, but I can't play videos from a site like Steam.  So when I put in the newest flash player everything goes to pot.  Oddly enough though I will be able to play videos on steam, but that's because steam videos only have 1 resolution and don't try to auto-adjust.  Youtube starts to cycle through resolutions, restarting each time, before finally just quitting and giving an error message.  Again this happens in both FF and IE (I won't put the spyware known as chrome on any machine).
I've tried every fix and solution I can find for 2 days now and I'm at my wit's end.  If I see one suggestion for hardware acceleration I'm going to snap! lol.  No spyware, no malware, tried hardware acceleration, tried the official uninstall tool, have uninstalled both browsers (diabled IE from the control panel, I realize that it can't be uninstalled per se), have deleted cookies, deleted a specific windows update that someone mentioned was corrupt. I've done the hokey pokey, sacrificed a goat, thrown salt over my shoulder, and eaten a spoonful of sugar.
I'm about ready to try a fresh install.  I just cannot figure out why this computer is having so many problems with flash and every other computer I've done in the last year and a half (around 12) has gone smooth as silk.

  • How Do You Test a Flash Drive for Errors Using OS X?

HI. In Windows there are Flash Drive tester that tests if there's something wrong with the Flash drive's chips. How do you test a flash drive for errors on OS X? I bought the HP v220w which is tiny for a 16GB and it's metal. The whole thing goes into the plug. Design wise, it is great, it's very elegant like a jewelry. Thanks in advance.
    Gbu.

Format it for OS X and run a surface scan on the partition. That should show any hardware problems that don't keep it from working altogether.

  • Getting Flash Player Security Error when running extension.

I had created a nifty utility which uses a Flash interface.  It worked fine in CS3, but after upgrading to CS4, I keep getting the Flash Player Security Error popup when I run it.
    =======================================
    Adobe Flash Player Security
Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation.
The following local application on your computer or network:
    C:\Program%20Files\Adobe\%20Photoshop%20CS4\Presets\...\ChopBot.swf
is trying to communicate with this Internet-enabled location:
    <unknown>
To let this application communicate with the Internet, click Settings.
You must restart the application after changing your settings.
    [OK] [Settings...]
In CS3, opening the Global Security Settings panel and adding the script's path to the trusted locations would fix this problem, and the utility would work going forward.
In CS4, however, adding the script's path to the trusted locations seems to have no effect.
I am using the ExternalInterface class in the Flash UI to communicate to and from the JavaScript.
Has anyone else run into this issue and found a solution?

  • Adobe Flash Player 10 Error Message

About four days ago, I started getting this error message in a dialog box. It appears even with nothing open that would even require a need for Flash. I removed Adobe Flash Player 10 and rebooted, then added it back. The problem continues however.
Win-XP/SP3 fully patched and Malware free.
"A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?  Yes / No.
Checking either option only gets rid of the pop-up for a few minutes.

I have just recently resolved my Flash Player issue.
My suggestion to all who have troubles with Slowing down players or error messages (like I was getting) is very similar to what has been suggested by Meln long ago.For windows machines- I don't know  mac fix. but this might work.
    1. remove/uninstall flash player from your system. ALL BROWSERS
    2. reboot your system
    3. goto the adobe site for flash player and have it check that you in fact DO NOT have flash player installed.
    4. download the latest version of flash player and let it IMMEDIATELY do the install.
    5. reboot
    6. check how flash player works. If it is buggy and slow or kicking up errrors/messages go back to step 1. repeat this cycle as many times as necessary.
    some notes:
Be careful when doing the install -DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE FLASH DEBUGGING VERSION- it will kick up errors galore.
Make certain you do noting else during the install and remove processes. You are problem solving -not being productive, so  just wait it out patiently.
I know some will say, why would i remove, download and install multiple times - once should either work or not work.
OH how I wish this were true for funky software issues. There is some glitchy thing going on and where exactly it happens is anyones guess, or it would have been fixed. Without rhyme or reason one time though it will just work. when it does do a system restore point and put GOOD FLASH PLAYER as the note. after you do this fix you will know why you want a quick way back to this point.- you don't want to do it again.
i know this sounds stupid but after trying for months to "fix" my issue this is what worked on multiple PCs i had that had the issue(s) slowing down and messages.
