Flash 10.2 produces terrible picture & sound, interrupts playblack

Since the message box popped up and I upgraded to Flash Player 10.2, video became incredibly grainy. Pixels were dancing around in a random matter, morphing between single frames looked so irritating that it became impossible to watch. It's a stutter and flicker, I could not take it. Switching off hardware acceleration helped a bit, but not really. Equally bad is the sound. As a user of an internet music portal and HD audio adapter, digitally connected to a high performance audio system, I experienced an overamplified "scratchy" mid-treble sound, not even, that "drives you crazy". And then, there is a regular freeze in video or audio, sometimes crashing the window altogether. Web sites do not always work. Writing in flash animated web pages is another problem: Really irritating on the eye.
I downgraded to Flash 10,1,102,64, which solved  the problems at once. Equally without hardware acceleration. Now I worry about the security situation and about not being able to upgrade to any upcoming Flash Player versions, any more. Adobe cannot let 10.2 stand as it is!
I am using a Windows Vista 64bit system. My browser is an Internet Explorer 7, bringing the best results on my system. For video, it is usually a 32 inch TV set. If they want to issue a special version for ultra low performance PCs, all right, good idea. But there are other users, like me, using a high performance system and expecting the transition of TV to the internet, in which Adobe wants to play a significant role. Development should lead to a picture and sound comparable to satellite TV, no less!
I hope, someone responsible at Adobe reads this, and about the problems others are experiencing!

Hi! ...
Well, you have to open any video in order to access to the Configuration, for example, this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpOyCvyoe8U
Once you can see the YouTube player, there are three buttons at the bottom right corner; one of them, with an icon of two rectangles; one over the other; click on it (note; maybe you have to allow the pop-up's); after you have clicked, it will appear a new pop-out window with another Youtube player; now, you have to right click over the "screen" and click "Configure" (well; I speak spanish, so I see the button as "Configurar"); a little dialog box will appear over the video; there are five tabs at the bottom of the dialog box; click the first one (I see it as "Visualización"); here, you can see the option "Enable hardware acceleration"; just UNCHECK it, close the dialog box, and finally close that pop-out window...
Tell me if it worked for you; I hope it...

  • Shutter sound that camera makes when taking a picture sound like it's dying.

The shutter sound that my iphone 5s makes when I take a picture sounds like it's dying. Anyone else have this happen on their phone? This hasn't caused a problem with taking pictures but it sounds weird.

Unfortunately, your naivete about complex electronic devices has misled you into a common misconception that Problem A = Cause B = Painless, no-effort, Solution C.  It's all magic to you.
Virtually any problem can have a multitude of causes, if for no other reason that you have incompletely described the total state of the phone.  More broadly, your camera problem is being caused either by corrupted code and or settings, of unknown origin, or a hardware issue.  There is no way anyone determine psychicly.  The only way to find out is the standard troubleshooting steps developted by Apple, and described In the User Guide.
it's taking more than half a day to put a big bandage on the wound and hope it fixes it.
Nonsense.  1-2 hours tops for 2 restores.
This has been a problem with the phone since the day I bought it.  It can occur everyimte I use the camera app for a week then not happen as much for a couple months.  In the past year, I have restarted, reset restored, etc several times and I still have this problem
You oddly failed to mention any of that in your initial post, and instead endowed us with whining about your frustration level...  You didn't mention doing ANY of the troubleshooting steps you now describe.  Yet another example of entitlement trumping logic.
The bottom line:  Restore the phone as new (without restoring the backup), if you haven't done so already.  If that doesn't work, you need warranty replacement of the phone.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
    Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

You used the data.  Verizon can not see what it was sued for.  However your phone can see whats apps used the data.  go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle.  line the dates up with your cycle.  then there will be a bar graph below that   extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right.  after those are extended below that will be a list of apps,  there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

I rented a movie on iTunes (Fast and Furious 6) in HD and the sound quality is absolutely terrible the sound is like 4 seconds behind can I fix it?

    Hi jvito2869,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  This article has some steps you can try if your audio is out of sync with the video you rented:
Troubleshooting iTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7 video playback performance issues

If your rental has already expired and you were not able to resolve the issue, you can report it to the iTunes Store as described here:

  • Sound interruption when watching streaming video

I have an Apple TV and use it to watch Netflix and Youtube.  After upgrading to ios 8,  I experienced frequent sound interruptions when watching streaming video
Has anyone else experienced this problem?  I have a third generation Apple TV.

I was able to fix the sound issue by changing the resolution to "720P -HD" instead of "Auto".  Not ideal but it works.

  • How to produce 5.1 sound with logitech z5500 running on iMac 10.5.8 with sound blaster live 24 bit external.

How to produce 5.1 sound with logitech z5500 running on iMac 10.5.8 with sound blaster live 24 bit external.

First off your operating system version is obsolete and not being updated for security issues from Apple.
OS X 10.4/10.5 need to upgrade, 10.6.8 ok still
So at least you need to upgrade to 10.6.8, and that will make your machine secure again.
However if you decide to upgrade further to 10.7 or 10.8, be forewarned your PPC based software of old is not going to work any longer. and your machine may require more RAM.
Check here to see and download the free MacTracker to see your machines true RAM potential and specs. There are videos online at YouTube, it's really easy to install yourself.
    http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
I checked out the z-5500, apprantly the optical out shouldn't be a problem, however the surround sound decoding is a problem as the Mac doesn't do it, just passes it through for decoding on a receiver via the optical out port if your Mac has one.
Use the free MacTracker to find out or when you upgrade OS X, there is a option in the System Preferences > Sound.
    https://logitech-en-ap.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9693/section/trouble shoot/crid/409/lt_product_id/224/tabs/1,3,2,4,5/cl/sg,en
The Sound Blaster Live 24 bit doesn't do Dolby 5.1 according to Wikipedia. More info on it is here.
    http://support.creative.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?catID=1&prodID=10702&pr odName=Live!%2024-bit%20External&CatName=Sound+Blaster
If it's able to accept optical toslink cable from the Mac's toslink stereo mini port (if it has optical output) and then send that to the z-5500 via the analog speakers, then you should be fine.
I'm afraid you'll have to do some more digging to get it to work.
The only surround sound your going to get is by playing DVD movies that have it, then it can't have Dolby 5.1 as the Live 24 bit can't decode it.
So do your research on what surround sound formats the Live 24 can decode, then compare your DVD collection for those movies that have it, then get it all connected and enable it on the movie preferences at the menu.
    Good Luck

  • Flash Player / Firefox Browser / Terrible Sound

Hi there, first of all, can i just state i am semi pro music producer, so its not my imagination lol, i uploaded a video to Youtube of my latest production, when i listened to it in IE was fine, Chrome the same, however when i used Firefox and flash the sound was terribly degraded, at first i thought it might have been firefox so i switched to HTML5 and the sound was perfect, so it was flash that was the problem. I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, same result, i then went to reverbnation and engaged the music player, same result, other browsers fine, firefox and flash terrible..
Here is my latest production, listen to it in chrome or IE then listen in flash a massive difference, i tried to find ways of contacting adobe, but no luck.

This should probably be posted to YouTube.  My uneducated guess is that they are serving two different encodings, one for Flash the other for their HTML5 player.
Fwiw, I captured the first two minutes of the song using both Chrome and Firefox.  I then compared them both in Audition (pasting an inverted copy as a mix) and saw that they were basically identical until around the 1:20 mark (I cropped some of the initial rain sound so my timing is a bit off from the full recording.)  At the 1:20 mark it appears the firefox/flash copy is either missing a portion of the audio or is briefly sped up.  At this point, the audio differs with Firefox being ahead about a second.  I've uploaded the audition multitrack so you can take a look.
Before the divergence, I could not notice a discernible difference when I solo'd between the two tracks.
    Chris
Ps. Great song and production.  Very nicely done.

  • Flash JPG compression is terrible.  Can I use Photoshop JPG compression with transparency?

Flash seems to do a far worse job of JPG compression for some reason.  A picture at JPG 80 can look great in Photoshop but completely blocky in Flash.  So I prefer to JPG compress in Photoshop and then just retain that compression when importing to Flash.
However this doesn't work when I need the image to have transparency. In this case I save as PNG-24 in Photoshop and then let Flash do the JPG compression.  But now the image looks terrible unless I go for JPG 90 or above.
Is there some way to get the best of both worlds?  Good quality JPG compression plus transparency?

Well first off, .jpg does not have transparency. So no, you can't have
Good quality JPG compression plus transparency?
For that you'll need a .png or a .gif.
I agree with Rob, never do any compression or resizing of images in Flash .Prepare the image of the correct file type and exact physical dimensions (as it will be used in Flash) before importing into Flash... use PhotoShop or whatever.
There is no free lunch... If your image is physically very large 1000+ x 1000+.... and you want high quality, it's going to be a pretty large file.
Since we have no examples of what size you think is too large, what quality is good/bad, or what the image dimensions are... we can only offer limited advice.
Correctly designing the project from the start is also very important. you might not be able to use a 1680 x 700 background image (too large a file), so you might look into using a much small image and tiling, that is repeating the same small image over and over... for example. So besides "image compression", there are design methods that can help reduce the final Flash file size.
    Best wishes,

  • Sound interrupted frequently in safari and maverick

Sound from video is interrupted frequently with video continuing, then sound resumes where it left off, while video freezes until sound and picture sync. I need to resolve this. I think the problem began with my dowloading Maverick and/or Safari 7.0. This is driving me crazy. Need a workaround, please.

Since most of the sites where you can download CleanMyMac2 and that type of programs load their downloads with adware in addition to what you asked for it sound like your Mac is probably loaded with adware now. Follow the steps below to get rid of that.
Click here and follow the instructions, or if there’s a type of adware not covered by them on the computer, these ones. If you're willing to use a tool to remove it(you don't need to, but may find it easier), you can instead run Adware Medic; this link is a direct download.

  • Adobe Flash Player 11.3 - Why No Sound?

Flash Player loads the video and runs without crashing, but there is no sound. Reloading the page makes no difference. I cannot find any Flash Player "setting" that would turn the sound on/off. Firefox is oblivious to the situation.

As you are using Windows have you checked with IE does that play the video ok with sound ?
This is a long shot but there have been very many problems with the release Flash Player 11.3, up until today we have often advise users to downgrade to the secure version Flash 10.3 or the NOT secure version 11.2.
There has been a new release of FlashPlayer today, intended to fix some of these problems so the advice now is to try that
*the version is Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.262 for Firefox
    * it is available from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    * if with Flash Player enabled you visit the site http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ that will confirm the version that you have installed, and what the current latest version is
    For more routine advice see
