flash 10.3.181.14 pauses when wiewing other tabs, i always multitask when on the interenet, i'll be playing games on facebook while email and other stuff, yet since 10.3.181.14, when i can to another tab flash pauses therefore making my internet experience take longer to do the things i normal do, flash should be allow to carry on whille i wiew other pages as some games on facebook and website take ages to do oe watch what i need therefore i passed to time on other website and not if i want to play games on facebook i gotta stay on that page to complette the action which on most occasion can take upto 5MINS SO STOP PAUSE FLASH WHEN I'M NO LONGER ON THE WEBSITE IT COMPLETE RUIN MY INTERNET EXPERENCE!!!!
ANYONE ELSE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM

Countdown Timer for Fileserv pauses when viewing other tabs, resumes when returned to tab. Is there any way to make the timer keep going?

Hi, when I use Fileserv to download files, it has a countdown timer like many file-hosting services. However if I go view other tabs while the timer is going, it gets paused until I come back to the tab and then it resumes.
For example, I download a file and the timer starts from 30 seconds, at the 25 second mark I view a different tab (lets say to check my email), and after about 40 seconds or so I come back to the Fileserv tab and it's just counting down from 25 seconds.
This didn't happen before when I was on 3.6.
Is there anyway to keep the timer going? As 30 seconds is precious enough to check an email or blog while I wait.

Maybe it keeps working if you tear off that tab and open it in its own window.

FaceTime Cam pauses when opening other application.

I have noticed, that FaceTime video get paused when i am on call and I open some other window/application.
Is there any setting ? because i don't want my FaceTime video get paused.

After much troubleshooting, I discovered that by unchecking 32-bit mode in the Info pane of the itunes app, it was then able to open. However, I have a sound plugin called Hear by Joesoft that now will not work wih iTunes, as long as I open it in 64-bit mode (can no longer open iTunes in 32-bit mode). I am guessing this will have to be updated or fixed on behalf of Joesoft.

Tabs expand when closing other tabs

This drives me nuts and I hate it so much!!!!
When you close a bunch of tabs and get down to the last few they start to get bigger. Well When that happens I accidently close the last tab which closes internet explorer.
This sucks because in other browsers you can start clicking the x on the second tab to close it and just start clicking and that leaves only one tab open.
Is there a way to change this behavior or is it a "bug disguised as a feature"?

Display tabs on separate row option from toolbar context menu or tear tabs off to a separate window or use the Taskbar dropdown to select a tab.

Is Flash 10.3.181.34 a 64-bit version?

I am running Fedora 14 64 bit version of Linux and I am having a problem with Flash. When I try to look at what should be a Flash item, I get a blank spot. If I right click in there I get the message Movie not loaded and a place to click About Flash 10.3.181.34. If I go there, I get a screen that lists the current version for different OS's. What I have is the current version. Why is the movie not loaded? I have tried to go to the Settings Manager to check my settings but nothing shows up. I believe that if I go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ I should get something moving. I get an empty spot. If I right click there, I get the same messages - movie not loaded and About Flash. I have tried to clear my cache and reboot. Neither fixes the problem. Help!!!!

There are no 64-bit Flash Players from Adobe released yet. But that does nog have to be an issue for you, you only need to have a 64-bit Flash Player if you have a 64-bit browser. If you do have a 64-bit browser and not a 32-bit browser you could the beta 64-bit player that is currently in beta: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11.html
The usual warnings to using beta software apply. If you try the beta player and have issues with it make sure you report them in the Flash Player 11 forum or directly in the bugtracker if you are familiar with reporting bugs in a software development environment.

Make Video Pause When Clicked?

Hi, I have a flash video that is set to autoplay when the page loads. We've just implemented thickbox/lightbox system on it now so when you click on the video it enlarges into that new frame. Problem is, when that's done the video/audio is still playing while the video in the thickbox is playing too. This leading to ineffective listening. Does anyone know a code that would trigger the video to pause when clicked anywhere on the video screen?

Split view pausing when updating code

HI, I love split view, can live without it, but in the latest version 5 and up, it seems when i change the code in code view side, the wysiwyg side pauses for a few seconds to update what i've changed, almost flashes asif reloading, maybe it is, but it seemed to do this more seemlessly, I could go back and forth and updates were instant. I am not in live view, that takes even longer when changes to the code view are done.
Just curious is there are ways to speed this up, or anything anyone has run into that causes the split view window to pause when changes are made.
It only happens, in split view, and i update something in code view, even just text <p> and when i click back to the wyysiwyg side, it pauses for a few seconds before reflecting the change.

Yes, same scenario, when I click back to design view, it usually updates quickly, but now it takes 3-5 seconds before it refreshes. It's noticeable, and hard to work with when I am updating alot of content peices,
I've tried other sites thinking maybe it has something to do with related files or something, but same thing, Its noticeable, but I can't seem to figure out when it started or why. Been using split view since it was available, always quite fast... I don;t have any data connections, or testing servers setup that could cause lag. I hope its a simple toggle of something I inadvertently toggled?

Flash 10.3.181.23 ActiveX MSI needs admin credentials to install

I am working at a company that installs Flash through Active Directory. We have a mix of Windows XP 32-bit systems and Windows 7 64-bit systems. We are currently running Flash 10.3.181.14 and I am trying to update everyone to the newest version.
The plugin version of Flash is working on all the systems and the ActiveX version is installing fine for Windows XP 32-bit running IE 7 32-bit. The only issue I am having is that when the GPO installs the ActiveX version on Windows 7 64-bit for IE 8 32-bit something happens and opening a page with Flash content on it causes a UAC prompt for admin credentials to install flash. If I type them in then it works but I am not able to go to each computer and type in the credentials.
Is there anything I can do to work around this? Turning off the UAC is not an acceptable option.

Hi Chris, I didn't see that the 64bit browser was used, oops. If that's the case, then I'm surprised the UAC even came up.
That UAC hasn't been performing as it should, so anything is possible:-)

Flash Player seems to install but when trying to play tv shows it doesn't register and asks me to install again.

I have a Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.3, i have no problem viewing videos on youtube but when i try and watch movies or tv shows streaming them off websites, it seems to come up with this message.
'Please install flash player HD to continue (required),'
when i click the install button it leads me to this page
'You are currently using Apple Safari to browse the web. An outdated video player may be slowing the browser's performance.'
i have tried using safari, firefox and google chrome and all say the same thing.
i downloaded and installed both the flash player and the one from safari both seemed to install without a problem but when i go back and try and view the video it shows the same message.

"flash player HD" is not a valid Adobe product. Flash Player is just known as Flash Player, not Flash Player HD. Can you please post a screenshot (How to post a screenshot in the forum) of the pop-up message and the page you go to when you click on the link (including the URL of the page)?

How can you get the schedule of a single reoccurring job with Restart ability in Redwood to pause when it has failed...?

We need the Request Restart ability when scheduling a single reoccurring job in Redwood. Most of our jobs are scheduled in CHAINs which offers the Final Status Handler on Step level, and the schedule is "paused" when a job in the CHAIN has failed ( the next instance does not populate until the OP MSG has been Replied to) , and once the OPERATOR message is replied to, the CHAIN can resume running again ( desired ) . But we need this same ability when scheduling a single job not in a CHAIN. In our testing, we set up a job with Request Restart chosen on the Error , Killed and Unknown selections on the Restart Behavior Tab. But we found when a job is scheduled say once a day at 8AM, and when it fails, an OPERATOR msg appears allowing a Restart choice ( desired), but the next day's schedule also populates ( undesired) and we do NOT want the schedule to continue on yet because we need a chance to fix the error before the next insance runs for business reasons. So how can you get the schedule of a single reoccurring job with Restart ability in Redwood to pause when it has failed...?

You can wrap the job chain in a master job chain in the first step and set the final status handler there.
You can also set the Restart Behavior to 'Stop Submit Frame', in that case you will have to resubmit the job once you are finished troubleshooting.

Why would I have to download latest verison adobe flash player twice in one day when I already had?

   I play a game called Castville and I play on Zynga.com on mozilla firefox. About a week ago after
going into and playing castlville dozens of times I got a message saying I needed to download the latest verison of adobe flash even though I just downloaded it with no message or problem just moments before. I had to leave and then went back in that is when I saw the message about the download. The problem was I had to download it twice in one day one right after the other. I downloaded and I still had the same message well I downloaded again but I should have never had to download it all since it was already oin my computer now there are problems with the game and at the bottom of the screen I see
on occaison the abode flash sign flash or perhaps flicker once or twice and this it. Since I downloaded it twice abode had been crashing I get this picture of a plug in unplugged and a line above that says that I have to reloaded the game.   So can someone please tell me why I had to download abode flash player twice in one day when I already had it and 2 why it is now causing the game I have been playing for a couple weeks before I downloaded twice to start sicking and sometimes crashing.     Please help

Random pausing When iphone connected to auxillary jack. Please help!

Hello to all.
My iphone continually pauses when connected to the auxillary jack in my car and home stereo. It never does this when the ear buds are plugged into the jack on the phone. The auxillary cable I have is a typical cable. This one in particular came with a sirius satellite radio. Can anyone offer any advice?

I had the same problem with my Mercedes when I connected my ipod to it. Turns out it had nothing to do with the ipod but the gps/radio antenna on the car. Once I took the car in and they adjusted that the problem was resolved.

It does scale correctly if you are minimizing the window (ie: clicking the top right minimize box on the browser).

I have the same issue, and it is a browser issue. Like you mentioned, Chrome and Internet Explorer scale all Flash content properly. I have tried Firefox, Nightly, and Cyberfox (Firefox-based) and they all have the same problem. It isn't a dealbreaker for me right now but it is very annoying and I'd love it if the developers at Mozilla could look into fixing it (possibly in collaboration with Adobe). Also, even using the Flash beta (version 16) doesn't work.

The first is a test environment with an Ultra5 running as an Apache server
and an Ultra 10 as the weblogic server. Two databases are currently being
used one is an SQL and the other Oracle.
The second is our production site, and is the same apart from the hardware,
the Apache system is a Netra and the Weblogic server is a 220R. (There are
some other differences, physical location etc)
On the test site everything is fine but on the live site we are experiencing
a long pause when loading pages. This happens every 10-15 times a page is
loaded, and only on JSP pages. It seems to stop after loading part of the
page and around 30-60 seconds later the rest gets loaded.
This is very easy to reproduce just by hitting the home page of our site
about 10 times.
I'm going to swap out as many network components at our co-location as
possible, but I'm wondering if anybody else has experienced a similar
problem.
