Flash 10 installed but not being detected by numerous sites
Hi!
I have installed and re-installed Flash 10 numerous times
over the past day trying to get it to work. I have followed the
"Trouble Installing Flash for Windows" solutions including Subinacl
and everything else that is suggested there. I have also deleted
the Configuration Flag Registry Key that was mentioned in another
Adobe bulletin. I tried uninstalling flash using the utility from
safe mode to ensure nothing else was using flash, I also
uninstalled it from the cmd prompt. I downloaded all the installers
to my desktop so everything is running from there. When I go to the
Adobe site that verifies the version, it recognizes the correct
version that I have installed. I've lowered my security levels to
precarious levels and I'm all out of options. I am running IE7,
Windows Vista business, and Flash 10. I went to some of the Adobe
sites of the day to try and see if it was working and here were the
results:
www.cbc.ca/thetudors - Shows black screen where Flash should
play and shows the yellow triangle done with errors icon with the
following error - "unexpected call to method or property access"
www.gettheglass.com - Successfully played the game and no
issues were experienced
www.forces.ca - Error message saying I don't have the correct
flash installed
www.thestar.com/sports - Flash video player worked with no
issues
www.youtube.com - videos work with no issue
I'm at a loss as to why this isn't working and I need the
Flash player for an online course I started on Saturday. When I log
on to that site it tells me that I don't have the current version
of Flash installed either.
Any help would be great!!!

Mknmuzic:
I spoke with the Tech support for my school and they said it
was a known issue for them that has crept up in the last few weeks.
Their solution was to uninstall Flash using the uninstaller from
the Adobe website, download and install Firefox, when Firefox asks
to keep your existing settings choose NO, then go to the Adobe
website and install Flash using the Firefox browser. I was rolling
my eyes the whole time they told me this because I wasted so much
time yesterday, but I'm happy to say this worked perfectly. All the
sites I listed that were not working are currently working with
Firefox.
Hopefully there is a fix for the IE issue soon.....

Flash 10.... is installed, but not being detected by websites
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest edition of Flash. I have even updated my Java program. I'm running IE8 and Windows 7.
After Flash installation, I can see the animation on the Adobe website proving that it was installed. However, when I go to certain websites (e.g. PBSkids.org, shutterfly.com), it says that I need to install Flash!
I also have the latest Shockwave installed and Reader; both are working fine.
I have rebooted my computer. I've checked my IE settings.
HELP!
(Coincidentally, Flash works on my new laptop, also running IE8 and Windows 7).
Thanks!

Flash 11 installed but not detected by websites
Can any body help? I'm about to go postal here. I am really hating Flash! I'm trying to upgrade our computers because suddenly most websites quite working (saying we needed a newer version of Flash). So round and round I go trying to get it working.
I finally gave up getting the stuipd thing to install with Group Policy Manager (there is a *major* problem with the .msi install package Adobe provides from V10 forward...even though it worked just dandy for 9 and down). Instead, I moved to the Software Update Services route instead.
Now all of my computers have Flash 11 installed -- but half of them don't work!!!. I can look in my logs and see "successful" install on all systems. I can go into add/remove programs on any computer and see Flash 11 is installed. However, web sites say that flash has to be installed. Even going to the Adobe site on these systems comes up with a message saying that Flash needs to be installed.
I'll tell my users they can't use any Flash-enabled site before I start trotting around computer-to-computer to manually install Flash player!
Can anybody offer suggestions on how to fix this thing? Centralized install is absolutly required.
Thanks for you help! Here is the flashinstall.log from a computer where flash does not work.

Flash is installed but not working
My mac has flash installed, but it won't work at all, and I can't seem to uninstall it.
This [https://www.google.com/search?q=nplightsparkplugin.dll&sourceid=mozilla-search&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8num=100&gws_rd=ssl Google search] has many links which indicate that LightSpark is a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) or even call it a "virus". ''And after looking thru the first 4 pages of that search I don't see anything that I would feel comfortable recommending as a "fix".
Now, the silly thing is that what I think would be the "homepage" for that plugin - "A free, open source Flash player" - http://lightspark.github.io/ - says that LightSpark is for Linux and makes no mention of a Windows DLL being available. IMO, a strong indication that you have Malware on that PC.

I have Windows 7 64 bit, and run IE11.
I have Adobe Flash Player installed.
It works fine on my login (administrator) but my young Son can not watch video's, as it says Flash Player is not installed.
How do I fix this please?Flash Player has updated to 11.87.800.175 today; is it working better?
If not, what means "not working properly"? -

Flash 11 installed but not detected by IE
I'm not a Windows user, but trying to help my elderly parents figure out why they are no longer able to watch videos on their laptop.
They have a Dell Studio XPS 1645 machine, Intel Core CPU Q720 @ 1.60 Ghz
Installed memory 4GB, 64-bit OS
Running Windows 7
Internet Explorer automatically updated 11/26/2013.
On Youtube, we see the thumbnail for videos but nothing happens if you press play. On other sites with videos, for example comcast.net, we get the message that "flash is not installed". I downloaded Flash64_11_9_900_152.ocx and ran it.
Installation runs without errors, but videos still don't work and error messages still indicate Flash is not installed.
I uninstalled and re-installed Flash with no success. Flash is enabled as an add-on in IE. Active X filtering is not activated in IE.
What next?

Flash Player installed but not working....
had a virus 3 days ago which was resolved with assistance from Microsoft. Now Adobe Flash does not work (when I go to Youtube, it says I do not have the latest version. I have unistalled, restarted, installed at least 10 times. Sites still say I need the latest version. I do see Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X in the programs in my control panel. I have downloaded version 10.1.102.64. I am running IE8 (i assume 32-bit since it does not say 64-bit) on Windows Vista. I have checked the files in my windows/system32/macromed/flash folder and it show the following files:
Flash Player Trust folder
Flash10I.ocx
FlashInstall
FlashUtil10I_ActiveX.dll
FlashUtil10I_ActiveX
install
I had turned off my Norton AV and firewall. I have also made sure that all security has been set to medium at that java scripting shows as enabled...
Flash player still does does not work: says I need to install latest version on websites (youtube etc.)
HELP!!Hi, I see you've been on quite a few forums advocating Firefox & Chrome. All this does is give them a browser that perhaps Flash Player would be performing as it should. But it doesn't solve their issue with IE.
And referring users to follow procedures meant for another user under different circumstances and computer configurations
is not in their best interest.
All you are doing is confusing the person, since the required information about their computer has not been obtained.
You may want to rethink posting referrals, I could do that myself, since I'm on a lot of threads here.

Adobe Flash Player installed - but not working
I have Windows 7, 64 bit, with Internet Explorer 11. On the day before Thanksgiving everything was working fine. I received a greeting on 11/27 and was unable to open it - I was told I needed to install Adobe Flash Player - assumed it was an update - but since that time I've been unable to open any of the puzzles on Shockwave, or cards from greeting card providers - probably some other things, but I haven't found out about them yet. Every time I try to open any of these programs, I get a message that I need to install the flash player. My control panel shows that I have Adobe Flash Player 15 Active X, 6 MB, version 15.0.0.239 installed and the add-on manager under tools says it's enabled - but it escapes me what it's enabled to do other than drive me batty and waste all my time. I've rebooted the computer, closed all IE windows, numerous times after uninstalling the program and then reinstalling it - all a waste of time. Is there any advice out there? is Active X Filtering something that should show up under Tools, Manage Add-Ons? If so, I think I had it earlier this week, but it's gone now. In my efforts to eliminate the Flash Player so I could reinstall a working copy, I may have uninstalled too much. It's not listed under Programs or under Tools at this time.

Flash players shows as installed but not recognized by adobe web site
I have downloaded flash player 10.3 -windows 7 64 bit -IE9 browser 32 bit. No error message during install. Dialogue box said done and closed adobe manager window. If I look under installed programs on my pc it shows flash player and if I go to manage add ons in browser it shows an adobe plug in as enabled. My proble--which never occured before in the 5 months I have had my pc -is when I go to any web page it apears the flash player is trying to put information in blank advertisemen spots but instead these adds are flickering in upper left hand corner of web page. Also, if I go to one of the adobe web pages to check what version I have--I expected to see a little dialogu box with my version number--instead that doesn't happen but I see a lot of flickering pictures in that space. Anyone know what might be the issue and how to fix? I have uninstaled the flash player as it was causing too much disturbance with all the flickering images in left upper portion f browser. Also, this is not video content just static images that should be showing up n various spot of each web page.
Hi, What Inofor linked to is helpful. Some users have done this also and that has solved their issues. It sort of depends on what is causing the problem it seems. This came from a couple of other threads that used it. Maybe they didn't have the problems discussed in the link Inofor posted.
I don’t know if somebody has suggested this or not but what I did to make Flash 10.3 work on my IE9 (32 bit on a 64bit Windows 7) was to click on the gear icon, then click on “internet options”, then “advanced”, then finally uncheck “use software rendering instead of GPU rendering” finally you must close IE9 for the settings to work"
Thanks,

Flash is installed, but Firefox cannot detect it?
I've got Flash 10.3 installed ([http://dl.dropbox.com/u/104526/FF-InternetPlugins.png screenshot of installed system plugins] screenshot of installed system plugins) and yet Firefox will not detect its existence. I've tried reinstalling both Flash and Firefox to no effect. I'm a little stumped, to be honest.
You're welcome

Flash 8 Installed but not working
I have two "administrator" level users on an Win XP sp2
machine. I upgraded to Flash 8.0.24.0 under user one and it works
fine. When I log on to the user two and access a site with a flash
movie it displays the icon telling me I must update to the new
version. When I run the Adobe flash test described in the tech
notes it shows a display indicating the proper Version but does not
show the expected "movie".
I tried installing it under the other user it failed.
Flash always worked on both users before this version.
Please help me.
RogerYour not the only one who is having troble with flash. I here
to find help with the same situation. My friend has installed
version 9 and can't view anything on the internet that uses flash.
But the other account user can. Whats up. All internet options are
the same... -
Adobe Flash plugin installed but not showing up
Since 2-18-2013, my Adobe Flash Player is neither appearing as being installed with FireFox19 ... NOR does it work on any website other than the Adobe "verify" page. I have:
a. Removed Flash Player and rebooted
c. Reinstalled Flash Player from download location; rebooted; restarted FireFox.
d. Removed latest flash player (per "c" above); rebooted.
e. Downloaded a older version of F/P, rebooted, restarted.
Bottom line: No Flash Player works.
When I (somehow) navigated to the "about:plugins" there is NO Flash Player.
HELP ... I'm a senior and so frustrated now.
Thanks in advance. My problem is exactly the same as the first poster. No doubt if I started a new question there would be someone telling me "that questions already been asked". The point is those solutions and all the solutions suggested on firefox support aren't working for this problem. That this occurred only with the new version of firefox is indicative of a deeper problem specific to this build.

Flash player install but not working
Can find Flash player in programs to uninstall off control panel, but no where else, computer will not play any videos and ask to down load flash player every time.
Flash Player (with the exception of the sandalone "Projector") isn't a program. It's a plugin. While it does should appear in the Add/remove list, it's NOT located in Program Files.
You'll find it in C/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash
and (on 64 bit systems) C/Windows/SysWOW64/Macromed/Flash
