Flash 11.1 on Firefox 19.0 on android is not allowing text to be entered into text boxes (through flash) - how can i resolve this?

My neice is trying to use the Build-a-Bear website, which requires Flash to login and run its services. However, the plug in is loading correctly, but we cannot enter letters into the login box, just numbers.
It's not a firefox problem with entering text as on other websites (such as BBC) text can be entered into plain search boxes.
How can I resolve this?

Is there any timescale as to when it's likely to be resolved?

When I download the latest version of Firefox it forces me to turn off my McAfee that I get with AT&T DSL. How can I run firefox and McAfee at the same time

The McAfee Site Advisor add-on for Firefox is the only thing that would be disabled, everything else related to McAfee should work just fine. Plus, you don't really need that extension at all, as it duplicates features that have been a part of Firefox for over 3 years now. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/phishing-protection/
That add-on is blocklisted by Mozilla due to that Site Advisor extension being the #2 cause of crashing the Firefox 5.0 betas. McAfee was notified of the problem long before that extension was added to the blocklist. Now it is up to them to fix it, and they better be close to a solution as Firefox 6.0 will be released in another 10 days - I wonder if they're gonna be ready for that version, too.<br /> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/blocked/ <br />

My advice is to switch to a free AV application which doesn't install silly garbage like that Site Advisor to begin with and save your self the grief it brings with it. <br />

You can't reformat it and not wipe everything on it.
Have you tried a different USB port?
Only other option, back it up on a different computer.

After every Firefox 34.0 reloading my add-ons have been switched off by unknown program or virus. Although i can switch them on and reboot firefox to fix it, but it is a little bit boring. How can i solve this problem?

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
    * [http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/default.aspx Microsoft Safety Scanner]
    * [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware]

    * [http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/ ESET Online Scanner]
[http://windows.microsoft.com/MSE Microsoft Security Essentials] is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

  • When I am NOT private browsing Firefox will not allow me to delete or change the website address in the location bar. My only remedy is to open a new window and search in google then click the link to that site through google. How can I resolve this?

    Question
When I am NOT private browsing Firefox will not allow me to delete or change the website address in the location bar. My only remedy is to open a new window and search in google then click the link to that site through google. When I swap to private browsing firefox allows me to anter the website address directly into the location bar - but this is a slow [prcess to swap back and forth - also by dint of using private browsing I loose my website information.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • My RealPlayer is not downloading videos anymore on Firefox 28. My Realplayer plug in is no longer seen in my extensions section either. How can I fix this ?

My RealPlayer download feature (the button that appears on top of a video to allow a download) was working fine until a few days ago, when I installed the latest Flash player update (12 something). Now, my Real Player does not work, at all. In fact, when I looked for the Real Player plug in in my 'Extensions' folder, it was not there (though it is listed in my 'Plug In' section). How can I get my Real Player download to work again, as well as have it return to my 'Extensions' section ?
    Thanks,
    Gary

Thank you for your question, and apologies for the delay. I have found some more information that may help answer your question. Below is the current knowledge base article that has what we know about the RealPlayer extension and add on:

  • To access a particular website , I need to use Java 6 u 37, but Firefox will not allow me to enable it since it is outdated. How can I do it?

I have downloaded Java 6 update 37, but Firefox does not recognize it as a valid plug-in, and so will not even give me the option of enabling it. Is there any workaround for this?

Firefox is a 32 bit application, so make sure that you've installed the 32 bit Java program and that Firefox can find its plugins.

  • When opening firefox, a flyout opens telling me I have to click on OK to finish installing Bing Bar.How can I kill this?

I uninstalled or deleted everything connected with Bing and uninstalled-reinstalled Firefox. Once or twice I opened it without seeing the Bing flyout but it came back. Opening IE does the same thing, but I don't use IE so I don't care about it. Opening Chrome, at least for now, doesn't have the same problem. I don't want anything to do with Bing/Microsoft so I don't want to see this flyout any more. There is no close button for the flyout. I can work around it by typing in a different url, but upon opening Firefox, the flyout opens. How can I get rid of it, please? The Microsoft website offers no help.

    Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
    #Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

  • Updated Firefox (as requested) and no longer have ANY search engine options in toolbar drop-down menu. How can I fix this?

The only options in the search feature (in the top right corner of FF) are Delicious and Norton Safe Search. It's the Google search I'm looking for; it's the only one I ever use.

Thank you, cor-el. Your helpful instructions were far over my head. I ended up downgrading to a previous version of Firefox, and all the browser options returned.
THEN... the Norton went fubar, and we lost use of all browsers; couldn't connect to the Internet at all on that laptop. Ended up pulling out an old one, found a Norton representative who instructed us to download onto a flash drive, and used that to uninstall the Norton. Now we have all browsers working normally, with all search functions intact.

  • When I try to open Firefox, I get a message saying that firefox is already currently running, although it is not running. Close and try again or restart computer. How can I fix this?

I always close Firefox when I am finished with the web. When I try to open it later, I often get a message saying that firefox is currently running, so close it first. As far as I can tell, firefox is not running. The message then says to restart your computer and try again. I restart my computer and then firefox opens.

  • It appears that Firefox affects my email by labelling most of my contact with "forget." How can we resolve this?

Many of my contacts have not been able to reach me via email with the notice on returned mail that they have been blocked as "spam." This all started after updating Firefox about 30 days ago. I use RCN as my email program and having discussed this problem with them at length, their records do not show the word "forget" on my contact's address. Does anyone an answer to this problem.

Firefox is only a browser. It has no controls like that. This may be an issue
    with your e-mail provider.

  • After recently updating Firefox through the automatic updater, I can no longer load any websites in Firefox. How can I resolve this?

IE loads websites fine. I have tried all the suggestions from the articles of the knowledge base including checking proxy settings, editing about:config and starting in safe mode; none of which have resolved the problem.

Forgot to mention the online version of the Flash Player Installer is now affected as well. I could not update flash player using it and had to download the offline installer.
This makes me wonder whether it still is a firewall or even a router issue, but like I said I tried the re-adding as an exception in the firewall method and having not changed anything with my router I don't see why that would be an issue.

  • Since updating to Version 5 EU1.1, Firefox does not open from Outlook email links despite having all program defaults - how can I fix this, please?

Clicking on a weblink in an Outlook email fails to open the website in Firefox even when the browser is already open. Firefox is set as default browser. There was no problem with this before the latest Firefox update a few days ago.
I have tried changing program defaults to Internet Explorer (email links worked) and then back again to Firefox, but email links still don't work.

  • I upgrade firefox from 7 to 8 and now when i start firefox everytime it opens "getting start with firefox" page, in options i select the option 'show a blank page" how can i resolve this issue?

i upgrade firefox from version 7 to version 8, now when i start firefox everytime it open self the "getting start with firefox" website, in the options on firefox i select the 'show a blank page' but its not working. i am using firefox on windows XP- SP2.

Try restarting Firefox, the one time page(s) after starting a new release should disappear. Actually this last time with 8.0 they did not come up for me.
If that doesn't work then bring up '''about:config''' and place the url of the page into the filter. Right-click on anything that comes up and use "Reset".
