Flash 11.3 keeps crashing my computer.

Windows XP home edition
ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT
I have disabled hardware acceleration.
I've run two different antivirus scans, and three malware scans.
I cannot figure out why it's crashing.  I don't get the bsod, it just stops.  The screen stays the same, but I can't move the cursor, and have to power down.  This has actually happened the last three times flash player has forced me to upgrade, but turning off the hardware acceleration fixed it before.  It didn't work this time.  I have the latest drivers for my video card, at this point, there is nothing left for me to do.  The problem is that I don't have any clue what the last version of flash player that worked is, and it's incredibly annoying that I have to go through this every time you want to do an update.  It'd be nice if you gave me an option to ignore the damn updates that are going to crash my computer if installed.  Or, you could NOT CRASH MY COMPUTER WITH YOUR UPDATES.

Please see this FAQ that describes what information we'll need along with instructions for reporting the crash to us.  I understand your frustration, but we need to get very specific and detailed to figure out what's crashing your system.
How do I report a Flash Player crash to Adobe?
Thanks,
Chris

Apparently you have two catalogs now, one from each installation. If you did importing, tagging and editing during the first installation, that will all be in the first catalog. Find the first catalog - it is a file with the suffix .lrcat and the default place for LR to put it is usually your Pictures folder - and (with LR closed) double-click on it. LR will launch with catalog #1 active.

  • MY ADOBE FLASH 11.6 KEEPS CRASHING HOW DO I FIX

MY ADOBE FLASH  11.6 KEEPS CRASHING KEEPS CRASHING VERY ANNOYING! HOW DO I FIX THIS?

To help troubleshoot we'll need the following system information:
    Operating   system
    Browser
    Flash   Player version
When reporting issues with video or audio, it's also helpful to get your system hardware and driver details.  Instructions for finding this information can be found here:
    Windows
    Mac
Finally, sometimes video and audio problems are caused at a lower level and not directly related to Flash Player.  I recommend trying both of the links below to see how they perform.  If the problem exists with both, then Flash Player is most likely not the culprit as the HTML5 video link does not use Flash Player when playing.  You can verify the user of HTML5 by right clicking the HTML5 video and looking for the words "About HTML5" at the bottom of the context menu.
    HTML5   video
    Non-HTML5 video

  • Flash Pro CC keeps crashing unexpectedly when certain tools are clicked

Flash Professional CC keeps crashing whenever I click on the pencil tool or the polystar tool. The ellipse tool is also acting strangely in that it only shows part of the circle or oval when I create a circle or oval. The line tool won't align properly with the cursor, either.
My system is a Windows 8.1 with an Intel Core i3 processor.
For some reason, I can't install the updates that I downloaded from the Adobe website.

I am having some of the same problems.  The New Document option popup page is out of alignment (shifted to the right, so template descriptions and previews are cut off), the mouse alignment is off, I can't see all the menu options and the program is crashing all the time.  This is my first day using the trial version  I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling.  No change.   Extremely frustrating!

There's only a memory option for exporting when compiling but that isn't really your issue. At home I use my laptop for CS5.5 on an older quad i7 1.6, 4GB ram, radeon mobility HD4xxx series in Win7 64 and it works great (alongside Photoshop, Flash Builder and other misc apps at the same time) so you should be more than fine.
If you also run Photoshop at the same time, do check the RAM default settings. I had some issues because by default it's allowed 50% total RAM. I have half your ram. About ~800MB for the OS, 2GB for Photoshop leaves just over 1GB for "everything else". If you have large PSDs open you could easily eat 4GB ram and not even know Photoshop will do that.
Aside that, the first thing I'd suggest is the usual 2 obligatory options and we'll take it from there. #1, check for updates (Help->Updates) and perform any updates listed. If that doesn't work I'd try resetting your application preferences. To do that (close Flash if it's running), start Flash and immediately after you click the icon to launch Flash hold CTRL+ALT+SHIFT. Delete your prefs and let Flash recreate them. That often fixes odd crashing and performance glitches.
Let me know if those don't help. If they don't it sounds like you're in pagefile territory or your FLA is simply way too big.

after the uninstall procedure completes, you can download and install the older version.
after many hours of trying, 11.7.700.169 is fairly stable on my video cards, but I'm not about to try updating it since there are many problems reported.

    Hello,
The last really supported Flash for PPC was 10.1.102.64, but if it's for like Facebook or such, people have been fooling FB to think they have a leter version installed.

(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, contributor Texas Mac Man suggests the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the latest version:)
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

  • Flash Player keeps crashing my computer

I got an auto update of Flash Player 10.3.183.7. Right after this update when i went to a site running flash the page would freeze, and i couldn't do anything
because everything was froze. After about 30 seconds i get the blue screen it says flash player plugin container is the cause. It dose this on any page running flash. I uninstalled and reinstalled, that did not help at all. I turned the hardware accelerator to none, like i read in adobe forum, this didn't help ether.
I tried to go back to the version before this, but when i go to a site with flash, it says i need the most current version of flash player. a few times it froze i was able to open the task manager and the flash player plug-in container was maxing out the CPU, and the memory.
I have a AMD Phenom II X4 quad core 3.5 GHz, and 8GB memory, windows XP SP3, Nivida GeForce 260GTX OC HD video card. I'm using Firefox 6.0.1
This also happens when i use Internet Explorer 8.0.6 I first thought this was a browser problem i was using Firefox 3.6.18
I currently have Flash Player uninstalled. So How do I stop this from crashing my computer?

I'm also having problems with Flash Player version 10.3.183.7, in the past day or so. Also using Firefox 6.0.2, though I've since tried this with the Standalone Player, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. I'm using Windows XP 32-bit. I also tried downloading archived flash player versions (9 and 10.1) and they had similar problems.
Most flash applications will cause the browser to lock up, sometimes temporarily and sometimes permanenely (having to close it through the Windows Task Manager). In the case where the browser does not permanently lock up, the flash application stops playing within the first 2-3 frames.

  • Adobe Flash Player keep crashing my computer

Starting several months ago, watching any videos which utilized Adobe Flash started to crash my computer fairly often.  I would say my computer has about a 50% chance of crashing every time I watch a video.  Sometimes I can watch 5 videos in a row and other times the video will barely start and my computer will crash.  I have tried updating my graphics card driver and making sure I have the latest version of flash player.  Does anyone know what might be happening?
    System Specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU(Q9550)
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTS 250
    RAM: 4GB DDR2
    Motherboard: GA-EP45-UD3P

Sorry this is happening on your system.  What OS and browser are you using?  A couple of things to try, first disable hardware acceleration to see if that makes an impact.
If it does, then we're probably dealing with a driver issue.  Post back with your system's dxdiag report and we'll take a look.  If it doesn't help, the next step would be to try going back to a previous version of the Player to figure out when this started occurring.
How do I revert to a previous version of Flash Player?

  • New Mac keeps crashing. Computer just turns off and restarts. Can happen in 10 minutes or a few hour

Computer keeps crashing. Took it back to authorized seller and they changed the ram, but continues to crash. Will be in the middle of any program and screen will black out,go back to restart. Very confusing as it's top of the line iMac.
This all started when my phone carrier remotely accessed my computer though to fix an unrelated problem.
    Could this be the glitch?

Computer and OS info, please. Then, provide a crash report.

  • My Adobe Flash Player Plugin keeps crashing. Annoying

I play games from the developer Zynga and I keep getting Adobe Flash Player plugin has crashed. I downloaded Mozilla Firefox thinking that I would have more luck with it than IE. Not so far. What can I do to correct this?

Reloading the page will often get the video, game or animation to play again.
If Flash continues to crash, updating to the latest version of Flash should fix the issue.
As this has been happening to you for a long time, try this too...
Go to this Flash help page on adobe.com.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html?promoid=ISMRY
Right-click on the box that lists your Flash player version and then click Settings… in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel.
Remove the check mark from Enable hardware acceleration.
Click Close to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
    Restart Firefox.
