Flash 11.7 installed with -au 0 does not update to 11.8?

OS: Windows 7 SP1, 64bit
IE 9, 10 & Firefox 17.0.1
Flash Player 11.7.700.169 / 11.7.700.224
I've installed Flash 11.7.700.169 via batch-skript, using the .exe-installer and the "-au 0" option.
Flash Player updated itself up to 11.7.700.224. (Don't know, if this was only one update )
But it does not perform Updates anymore!?
Is the updater not working for the jump 11.7 to 11.8?

It may take a few days until the updater kicks in.
My Windows 7 updated within hours of the 11.8 release, but none of the Windows XP systems around me have updated yet.

EPMA batch client with Essbase application - does not update aliases

We are using EPMA 11.1.2.1 for managing outlines for Essbase applications.
Changing aliases in EPMA and launching manually redeploy from Workspace, with flag "Full Deploy" change correctly the aliases in Essbase..
Using the EPMA batch client to redeploy the Essbase application deletes all aliases in Essbase outline.
Someone knows how to solve this problem or what am I doing wrong in the EPMA script?

From your description it seems that you are facing issue only with windows 8\8.1. So firstly suggest you to check with application support team, whether they have whole support for application with newer version. Also check once with application support team
regarding this issue.
This issue occurs because the local taskbar does not receive the EVENT_OBJECT_NAMECHANGE event from the system due to a timing issue. The EVENT_OBJECT_NAMECHANGE is needed to update the taskbar title information.

The taskbar may not show the application name correctly when using a Terminal Server RemoteApp

Silent install with WEB_JAVA_SECURITY_LEVEL=H does not appear to work

Oops - posted this in the wrong category after I landed there as a result of a search...
I have tried to install the jre-7u10-windows-i586.exe with flags: /s WEB_JAVA=1 WEB_JAVA_SECURITY_LEVEL=H but after it is installed, when opening the control panel, the web security level is set to Medium.
This can also be changed by a normal user. The setting is saved in the CURRENT_USER part of the registry. There appears to be no similar entry in LOCAL_MACHINE.
I would have expected when the installer option has been used (as admin), the setting would be HIGH for all users and the user would not be able to change it.
What is the problem?
OS is Windows XP with all patches.

I understand why you asked the question: It doesn't appear to be working as designed. ;)
I offered up what little I know in hopes of helping you solve the immediate problem of applying that setting. I wasn't trying to dance around the problem. :)
You are correct: it is a per-user setting. There are still a number of ways of getting per-user settings that out there:
- Via login script, as you suggested;
- Via GPO - Push the registry key(s) in this example;
- Via installs - add the registry key as part of the installation to HKCU; for any new user profiles: load the default user hive, add the key there & unload the hive. New profiles from that point on will be updated. You'll still need to do something for existing profiles. (Use one of the two options above for that.)
You added a new twist on this by mentioning a new element: the ability to lock the setting(s) so that users cannot change them. You'll likely need to leverage deployment configuration files to accomplish this. I don't think registry keys apply here, but I could be mistaken. Once the 'master' files are configured properly, they can be deployed via GPO, login script and even new installs.

The issue hasn't really 'solved itself' since users can still change the security level. The above will address that.

BAdi FMBW_CUSTOMER for Screen 2010 with customer subscreen does not update?

Trying to implement this BAdi (FMBW_CUSTOMER) but it doesn't update the FMBH customer defined fields.
It seems to do OK in the PBO - meaning it gets the correct data from the dB table.
It seems to recognize the PAI custom fields - it comes back with the correct user input.
But in the end - I can't get it to update the table.
Anyone been able to get this BAdi to work?
P.S. I have read the documentation for it and have spent extensive time in debug.

Adobe Flash Builder pureMVC_As3 2.0.4 login works in Flash Builder when developing and testing but does not when deployed.

I have Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 with air 15. I am using as3 PureMVC swc. The application works and logins to my server during development and testing. But the issue comes when I deploy the application in IOS 8. The login does not work. Can anyone help. Thanks in advance.

The only way to reinstall Safari on a Mac running v10.7 Lion is to restore OS X using OS X Recovery
Instead of restoring OS X in order to reinstall Safari, try troubleshooting extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.
If it's not an extension or plug-in issue, delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

'ServerProperty' with 'Name' = 'Language' does not exist in the collection

One of my customers (using ssas 2012) is facing collation issues which result in missing facts in the cubes. I suggested them to have a look at the Analysis Server Properties. Howevere, on selection of the Analysis Services Properties page 'Language-Collation',
it doesn't open the page showing the properties, but instead the following message pops up:
'ServerProperty' with 'Name' = 'Language' does not exist in the collection
Any ideas on what could have caused this and how it can be fixed ?
We're considereing a restart of the SSAS server, but need to be very carefull because it's their production environment.

I am also experiencing this error when clicking on the Language/Collation page of the Analysis Services Properties dialog.
I suspect this is causing some other strange behavior such as an "invalid characters in hierarchy names" error when deploying an SSAS database, when the same solution/project can be deployed successfully from other machines. In that case, there are parenthesis
in the attribute name but no user-defined hierarchies. Error:
Errors in the metadata manager. The name, 'Project ID (Description)', for the cube hierarchy is not valid because this name is a reserved word, contains one or more invalid characters (.,;'`:/\*|?"&%$!+=()[]{}<>), or is longer than 100 characters.
I would like to avoid having to re-install SSAS if at all possible. Any help is much appreciated.

Ok. been working on this for the better part of a day. I am having trouble with the .net web controls. trying to create a simple portlet that populates a text box with values from a 2nd text box when a button is selected. both text boxes are in the same portlet.
without using the <httpModules> entry in the web.config file the portlet works fine, but it does pop you out of the portal.
setup: working in a Dev. environment with portal and portlets on the same box.Portal version is 5.0.2.EDK version is 5.0.2.

There doesn't seem to be any information in one spot as to setting up the environment to use the .Net Web Controls. I have had to piece together information from multipule threads to get this far. I.E. there was nothing in any documentation that I have read that required the installation of the VJ# lib's. (that error took me the first half of the day to resolve :-) )

When installing the Web Control's do you need to stop any services? I didn't see anything in the install notes about doing this?

Java does not update older version when installing from MSI file

I'm using an MSI file of Java because it's easier for deploying through SCCM. Anyway when I do everything works fine except it does not update older versions of Java. So for instance if I have Java 7 update 7 and install Java 7 update 21 using the MSI file I'll then have two versions of Java installed on my computer. Anybody know a way to install using the MSI file where it updates older versions of Java (as long as it's the same major revision) like the exe would?

Yes same problem here. I had a successful rollout with the MSI package and version 1.7 Update 17 on 1500 computers!
I packaged the Update 21 and on my first test-clients the control panel crashes when I try to open it. But the setup ends successful without any error code all eventviewer entries are successful and it seems that the environment is running. Firefox plugintest was successful.
Why doesn't offer Orcale the MSI files?! Since last year Java cost me o lot of time deploying Java. There is no update which you can release quickly because there are always bugs to deploy them.

Flash 11.7 installed with -au 0 does not update to 11.8?
