Flash 11.9.900.152 and IE 11
Same issues as most are having; black screen with audio on most sites. YouTube seems to be the only working site. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, I have read most of these recommendations and nothing works. I have an HP Pavilion dv7 running Windows 7 64 bit with Explorer 11. Flash runs well on some, not all, sites using Google Chrome. I don't have Mozilla.
All was fine when I ewas running IE 9 with Flash version 11.9.900.117. I tried to roll Explorer back and that ended up in not being able to connect to many sites. Really frustrated.
Is there a new fix or update coming to fix this (I'm assuming compatibility) issue?
IF there is a fix coming, it needs to come from Microsoft, because THAT'S where the problem is. IE11 isn't being recongized (due in large part to faulty code) by dozens, perhaps hundreds, of websites, including Yahoo, BBC, Facebook and ESPN just to name a few. If the browser isn't recognized, the Plugin isn't either. Adobe can't fix that.
Microsoft recommends enabling Compatibility View for affected pages. Problem with that fix is (as I've seen); it has met with very limited success at best, and Microsoft appears to be in no big hurry to release a real fix for it.
Basically their solution is "change the settings to pretend you're not really using IE11, but something else".
I'm not real big on "pretending", so I recommend actually using something else.
Firefox (Mozilla)
Opera (Opera)
Safari (Apple)
Chrome (Google)
Firefox, Opera and Safari all use the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers).
Chrome has its own Flash Player built in.
ANY of them will work where IE11 won't.

Flash 11.9.900.152 vis GPO and IE11
We deployed Flash 11.9.900.152 yesterday morning via GPO (The same method we have been using for years) and we noticed this morning that if you are running IE11 it is not properly installing the browser add on and the only way to fix it is to do a manual install of the Flash.
The same GPO object installs Flash 11.9.900.152 on machines still running IE10 just fine.
We only have about 20 machiens at this point running IE11 but we are curious if this is a bug in the installer or if we need to change the way we deploy for IE11.
Has anyone else seen this?Okay, this is my second post on here,
From last night till today, the only thing that I did was to just shutdown my PC and I left it that way over night.
Now and am sure its gonna sound stupid to most of you, but nothing is wrong now!, every thing is working just fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also to add here that I touched nothing, I thought my windows updated itself soon I started my PC up coz I left it running for about an hour, so I went and checked it out, and found out that the last update was on 12 november,
It was the day that I downloaded and installed 15 different updates from Microsoft through its built-in update,
So I dont think it was an IE problem! but thats just me and its what I think. And I also dont think its an Adobe flash problem because I visited couple more other websites at the time when youtube.com was giving me problems and they worked just fine while youtube.com did not.
The only website that made me mad was youtube.com, so it is really my fault that I came here running accusing adobe for a bad release.
So its either that specific website or that I had to restart!!! But for some reason, I think I might have restarted couple of times last night before I put my pc to sleep and go to bed, I mean Im the kind that would literally try every thing before I go and ask for help!!
I think its the website and not IE neither the Flash Player. The strange thing is that I have never faced any problems with youtube.com before!!! Maybe that what made me come here!.

i am having the SAME problem...
no sound from Flash video on ANY site,
all relevant setting are set correctly to work
Flash video and audio works 100% on ALL other browser, but not IE11
i did, however install a CODEC pack that changes the way video and audio is handled system-wide (K-Lite Codec Pack - OFFICIAL website: http://codecguide.com/ and more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-Lite_Codec_Pack ) which is where I think MY problem stems from. ducci13 , have you ever installed ANY codecs, codec packs, xvid video players/codecs, ANY other type of Media/Video/Audio player (such as VLC, Winamp, MPC (Media Player Classic), XVID Player, DIVX Player/Codec, etc)
OR
have u downloaded movies to watch from your computer

FF is freezing up after installing Adobe Flash 11.9.900.152
I am running FF: 25.0.1 / my problem/problems: #1: I am receiving update information for my adobe flashplayer. I click the link, goto the site, download, install. It asks me to close FF, so I do. After the installation is complete; adobe automatically opens FF up; directing to me to their page. This is when the trouble starts. The entire FF freezes up!
I sit here and wait; eventually after app two or three mins, it says: Flash Player Installation Complete. The thing is; everything I do afterwards, is in slow motion. I have tried closing FF, and reopening. This 'does' fix the issue.
However, after a couple of hours... I keep getting information stating: update your flash player plugin. I have tried everything I know: disabling my avast antivirus, resetting my FF, ect.
*My second problem: #2: After using FF.... I close the browser. Then this little box pops up saying something about... FF has encountered a problem (close program). So I just click the close program, and the little box goes away. The thing is, my FF is already closed? This is happening directly after I close FF.
As for uninstalling FF... well, it's honestly a pain to redownload all my add-ons, find my persona, ect. This is the easy fix: uninstall, and reinstall. What I am looking for here, is a technical answer. Something that I can do without uninstalling FF.
I would really be greatful for any advice.
Thanks Much
Mikey (Raven23) USA/PAOn #1, you shouldn't need to update Flash multiple times. I'm concerned that one of those might have been a fake update. Could you do a few supplemental scans? This support article has links to recommended tools: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]].
On #2, Firefox is crashing during shutdown. Firefox might or might not have some data on these crashes. Could you check for crash IDs, as described in the last section of this article: [[Firefox crashes]].
You might also want to investigate the user.js file in your profile. This article describes how to track that down: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]]. -
Error code 1605 when installing Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX 11.9.900.152
Hi there everyone, this is my first post over here.
I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find a 1605 error code linked with Adobe Flash.
I'm working on a project to fix Adobe Flash installation failures. The current error i'm stuck on is 1605
The installs and uninstalls are already packaged, i only have around 5 failures so far, we have many successful installtions so I know the package isn't corrupt.
Here is the installation log file

I see a differen't product code getting removed on other machines and that's prob because they had a different version of flash installed.
I was however able to install adobe flash versions 11.8 and below successfully, it's just versions 11.9 that fail.
Any advice will be greately appreciated, thanksHey the cleanup method didn't work.
However, i could get the latest flash installed without the package, for some reason it keeps failing with the package. Version 11.8 and under installs with the package.
I know the package works because we've used the same package for thousands of other machines and they've worked.

I want to upgrade from my current version of Flash v11.9.900.117 to the current v11.9.900.152. On clicking on the Flash player link in the Downloads section of the Adobe home page I am taken to what looks like the 'Flash Player' download page with an 'install Flash' button in the bottom right hand corner. However, when I click on this button I am directed back to the Adobe home page. Could this be something to do with my AV?.
Bypass the downloader/installer and download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by clicking one of the following links.

Unsure of Flash Player update version 11.9.900.152
This morning an Adobe box popped on my screen. It showed I needed to update Adobe Flash Player version 11.9.900.152. I clicked on START.
The next page came up and a box from Norton Security popped up saying it did not recognize this!
On the second page that popped up it has a box at the bottom which reads:
The install_flashplayer11x32axau_chrd_awa_aih.exe download has completed. Then it says,
RUN, SAVE, or INSTALL. I clicked on SAVE.
Is this a verified site of Adobe???It's legitimate.
If you don't want to run the downloader, the FULL versions are here:

I have Opera/Mozilla/IE
Win XP desktop
Win 7 laptopDid you install BOTH the ActiveX and Standard plugins?
You may need to do a "clean install".
Download the following files by right clicking and selecting "Save target as"
Flash Player Uninstaller
Shockwave Player Uninstaller
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Save ALL files to your Downloads folder - DO NOT RUN anything yet.
Reboot your system.
BEFORE opening anything else, go to your Downloads folder and run the UNINSTALLERS to remove all instances of Flash Player.
Next, run the ActiveX Installer.
Lastly, run the Installer for other browsers.
Once Flash Player is installed go to: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/#sp
Download BOTH files, the one on the right FIRST by right clicking and selecting "Save target as"... the other by clicking and following the steps to download the FULL ActiveX installer.
After the ActiveX is installed, run the Standard Shockwave FULL installer from the Downloads folder.
Once everything is installed, see:Enabling Flash Player in Internet Explorer and: ActiveX Filtering in Internet Explorer to make 100% sure that Flash Player is enabled and NOT being blocked by ActiveX controls. -
I pulled down the plugin and the active x from the dirtubution area and was going to deploy them to my enterprise once in testing we noticed that the active x was still reading 152 instead of 170. So the 11.9.900.170 active x file is still reading 11.9.900.152. Do we know if this is going to be fixed?
ActiveX and standard are two different plugins.
ActiveX is for IE only.
Standard is for Safari, Opera and Firefox,

I am working on a portal which is built in flex. I wanted to perform some action based on my applications is in focus or out of focus. So I tried to use two Events for this purpose Event.Activate and Event.Deactivate inside my flex code.
These events fire perfectly in FF 3.0 and above, Safari, Chrome and these events get triggered till IE 7.
But when I switch to IE 8 and above versions with latest flash player plugin 10,2,152,26 the Event.deactivate is not firing, and I am not able to detect whether my Flex application is out of focus.
I tried doing some research around this issue both using Flex Events and Javascript approach using window.onfocusin and window.onfocusout, but still no luck in IE 8 and higher versions with latest Flash plugin 10,2,152,26.
Has someone faced this kind of issue. Any help or solution to this problem would be appreciated. As we have a large number of users viewing this portal in IE 8 with latest flash plugin.
The code is simple and I have pasted below:
package {
import flash.display.*;
import flash.utils.*;
import flash.events.*;
public class Main extends Sprite {
public function Main() {
this.addEventListener(Event.ACTIVATE, activateListener);
this.addEventListener(Event.DEACTIVATE, deactivateListener);this is a known issue (or, really a collection of issues) related to how the deactivate event works in different browsers. check colin moock's blog.
for most, but not all, purposes using a mouseleave event works well-enough. -

Jittery playback in 11.9.900.152 on osx 10.7.5.
Hi.
I just updated from a working version of Flashplayer to 11.9.900.152 on OSX 10.7.5. Now all playback is jittery, like some kind of buffering issue. It plays a few seconds, and then it reverses a second, plays a second, reverses a second. Like you were watching your reflection on a sheet of metal and then someone hits it and your reflections wobbles (jitters), cant describe it better. My Mac is a Mac mini with Core duo 1.83ghz, 2gb of ram and and intel gma 950 for gpu.
Regards,
/rror3a1Part of it is this:
The Apple Mac mini "Core 2 Duo" 1.83 features
a 1.83 GHz Intel "Core 2 Duo" (T5600) processor, a 2 MB on-chip level 2 cache,
a 667 MHz frontside bus,
1 GB of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300) memory,
a 5400 RPM, 80 GB Serial ATA hard drive,
a slot-loading 8X single-layer DVD/CD-RW "Combo" drive,
an "Intel GMA950 graphics processor with 64 MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory",
and a bundled Apple Remote.
Flash Player 11 system requirements are:
Intel Core™ Duo 1.83GHz or faster processor
Mac OS X v10.6, v10.7, v10.8, or v10.9
Safari 5.0 or later, Mozilla Firefox 17, Google Chrome, or Opera 11
512MB of RAM; 128MB of graphics memory
Unfortunately, the GMA950 has a max of 64Mb VRAM regardless of system memory. My 2012 Mini uses Intel HD 4000 Integrated Graphics which increases the amount of VRAM as the system RAM is increased. With 4Gb, I had 512mb, with 8Gb it was 768mb, and with the present 16Gb, I have a full gig of VRAM. According to Apple specs however, even if you max out your RAM at 4Gb, your VRAM stays 64Mb. -
Adobe Flash Plugin Crash in Firefox and IE
About a week ago my firefox and internet explorer browsers haven't been able to play any flash movies. For example, I go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flash.html and click play on the main video section that pops up and the adobe flash plugin has crashed screen appears.
I also uninstalled and reinstalled flash to the newest version and back to version 10.3 as well and both of these things did not fix the problem.
Please let me know if you need any other info to help fix the problem. I appreciate the help!
