Flash 5.5 - not saving most recent version?
This is really bizarre, and is difficult to describe, so bear with me a moment.
I have a recurring file for a client that I update every month. I create a version in English, publish it, get approval from the client, etc. Then I open that file, save it with a new name, and replace the text with translated Chinese. I save that file and publish it. This is where the weird stuff happens. The published SWF is correct (it has the Chinese translation), but when I open the saved FLA, it is back to the English version. It actually has some Chinese in it, but not much.
This has happened three times now. The first time, I thought I was crazy and somehow forgot to save the file or something. The second time it happened I knew it wasn't me. The third time, today, I was watching very closely and making sure of each step.
The published SWF was saved at 10:22AM 10/31/2011 (same with the report and html)
The FLA was saved at 10:22AM 10/31/2011 (I actually saved it after I published)
Yet they don't reflect the same contents and the updates that I made.
It appears that when I save my file, it isn't saving the most recent version or something. Some of the changes I'm making are saved, but not all of them. The published files reflect all of the work however.
Any ideas on what I might be missing here?
EDIT: Just had a thought that maybe this has something to do with auto-saving? Looking at the file closely, the Chinese updates that are there are the first ones I made, then the rest looks like the untouched English version. The modified dates on the files would say no, since they are the same and appear accurate to when i actually intended to save the file. I haven't found the auto-saving preferences yet, so I haven't investigated very far. Just a thought.
Hi JeffCulbertson,
Please send me a zip file, change .zip extension to .zzz, and email the attachment to my attention at [email protected]
I'll take a look and see why your file changes are not being saved . Please also include the exact steps on how I can replicate the reverting issue
By the way, did you install our latest update for Flash CS5.5 (11.5.1.349) ?
To check and see if you have the latest update, open the Flash about box (Help > About Adobe Flash Professional). With the latest update you should see version 11.5.1.349. This update was released in September.
We have made made some changes in this update to address this reverting issue.
Thanks
Sukhbir

I have updated and installed Firefox, but it still says I am not on most recent version

Cheers1 - do not put your iPhoto library on the same volume as the time machine backup - TM continues to grow its backup until it fills that volume at which point you will not be able to use the iPhoto library (which may be your problem now) - and you have no backup since TM can not back up anyting that is on its backup volume - and it if cound when the drive fails which it will someday you would lose everything anyway - you must have a second external hard drive right away
2 - How much free disk space do you have on your main drive?

I do not know what further information would be reuired.
You are almost correct in your assumption Norton needs updating to FF4
You can get Firefox 3.6.16 here:

Flash Pro not using most recent version of Flash player. How to fix?
I am trying to write a Flash program that uses a capability introduced in verson 10 of Flash player, but my Flash Pro only has up to version 9 listed on the publish settings. Is there a way to make Flash Pro recognize version 10? Do I need to update Flash Pro?
Yes.

My files on creative cloud are not the most recent versions
Today and over the last few days I've been saving files from my office computer to my creative cloud so I can work on them at home, but when I get home the files are either not showing or are not the current save.
Is there a way to force dump cache or something like that? Are you saving the files using Upload and Replace from the Files page at https://creative.adobe.com/files, or are you saving the files (and changes) in the Creative Cloud Files folder on your computer and letting the file sync upload the files and changes? (Either way will work just trying to understand your workflow).
First lets confirm the newest changes are being saved to the Creative Cloud files storage. When you use Replace from the Files page, or save the file in the Creative Cloud Files folder, a new version is created. You can confirm the latest version is saved by first going to the Files page in the browser and then clicking on the changed file to view its page. By default Details are displayed but you can switch to Activity. You should then see that there are versions, and that Current Version the correct version.
Please confirm that the correct (latest) versions are synced up on your office computer. If not lets figure out why. If the correct versions are synced up then we can see what is happening on your home computer. -
I need a way to get a more recent but not current version of Firefox that my computer, a PowerPC processor Mac, will support. I am running OS X version 10.5.8. This processor/computer will not run Lion and the most recent version of Firefox will not run on it either.
On my second computer, same type, a newer version of Firefox crashes constantly while in Yahoo!Firefox 3.6.x is the last available from Mozilla for PPC Macs. <br />

I have followed the directions and my iphone is not installing the iOS 7.0.2. I have the most recent version of itunes on my laptop commuter. my iphone is attached to my laptop via usb port. The laptop uses dsl not wifi. Is that my problem?
Exactly what version of iTunes are you running? And DON'T say 'the latest version'... CHECK the version number. You need to be running 11.1 or higher.

I have installed the most recent version of Snow Leopard on my MAC, and I am trying to install Mountain Lion from the Apple Store. It will not install, because it says I do not have 2GB of memory, even though I have over 200GB available. Please help.
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
One thing is the memory, and another thing is the hard disk space. You are telling me that you have 200 GB of free space on the hard disk, but the App Store is telling you that you have to install 2 GB of memory or more on your Mac if you want to upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.
First of all, open > About this Mac > More Info, and copy "Model Identifier" here, so we can know what Mac you have got and how much memory you can install.
We recommend to buy the memory in OWC or Crucial (Crucial is cheaper and offers the same compatibility warranty as OWC) because you won't probably have any problem with the memory you buy there -
Most recent version of Java and firefox. Java Applications will start to load but end up in an infinite loading loop.
Well, it's what I did to get my Java working in Firefox 4. I installed both binaries into my Library/Internet Plug-ins folder. The version was newer that what was previously installed (newer version is 0.9.7.5). It solved the Java problems I was having. My inital problem was that Java would not initiate and no applets would run in Firefox version 4 which I just installed a few days ago.
I know the readme.txt. says it is not compatible with version 4, but the release date on 0.9.7.5 is after the release date of Firefox 4 and so that was I tried it. I figure there was nothing to lose as at worst it woud update my two plug-in files. Nothing was going to be changed otherwise. If you try it, it might work. -
1. I was upgrading from Adobe CS5 and based on Adobe's own recommendations I uninstalled all Adobe products prior to installing Adobe Creative Suite. This included not only Adobe CS5 but ALSO FLASH v16.
2. After uninstalling all Adobe products (including Flash 16) I rebooted the computer and installed the latest build generated for Adobe Create Suite.
3. After installing Adobe Create Suite I attempted to reinstall Flash but it will not let me install it.
4. The error received is "The version of Adobe Flash you are attempting to install is not the most current version".
5. Flash is NOT installed and when running the "Is Flash Present" test from Adobe's site the answer is NO.

Flash Player won't install (trying to install the most recent version)
I tried to install flash the most recent version but it just disappears from the area where i downloaded it and have to end the process. Or I will get incorrect certificate error and nothing happens won't install. I had to revert to prevous version I had on my computer until this is fix. Is anyone else having trouble installing the recent version on windows 7 64-bit using Firefox 5.0 or IE 9?
Can you try downloading the installer files directly?

I updated to the most recent version of Itunes and I do not see iOS5. Where is it? Everything is the same, no difference.
iTunes checks for updates approx. once a week. If you go to the Summary page for your Touch and look next to the" Check for Updates" button it lists the date that iTunes will perform the next check for updates. To check for an update before this date, click the "Check for Updates" button. If iTunes doesn't indicate that the iOS 5 update is available for your device then you're Touch is probably not supported by the new OS.

I just downloaded Firefox 6.0. The web page asked if I wanted to upgrade. What is the most recent version of Firefox and why can't I get it denoted in the propperties link? Also why is it not compatible with AVG Tool Bar?
Firefox 6.0 is the current version.
Get what denoted in what properties link.
You can get the version number in Help -> About Firefox,
and in '''about:support''' typed into the Location bar, and you can use JavaScript to list the user agent -- javascript:navigator.userAgent
I'm not aware of any version of Firefox from Fx 2 on up to Fx 6 where "AVG Safe" is not a problem. Crashes aren't the only failures caused.

Recently downloaded the most recent version of Firefox. I then attempted to use the "search" function. I can type the subject into the search bar space, but when "search" is clicked, there's no response.
Thanks!
DonThanks, folks! The "reset" fixed the problem.
