Flash 8 file to High quality video

I am a audio/video person that is new to Flash (8). I have a
6 minute Flash 8 file that I would like to convert to a DVD
ultimately. When I export it as an avi file the avi file does not
open in any of my video editing or dvd authoring software.
When I try to export the Flash 8 file as a Quicktime file I
get a message stating that I need to set the publish settings to
Flash 5 or earlier. I did that but now get a message that some
Flash 8 features not get converted, plus system doesn't finish
creating the Quicktime file anyway, it hangs up for a VERY long
time.
Any guidance to help me convert this Flash 8 file to a video
file of excellent quality would be appreciated. I searched the
forums and only found instructions to do this using Director, which
I do not own ...
Thanks in advance.

I just found this yesterday. In Adobe's video help sampler:
http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/video_workshop/
there's a video under the Flashsection called "Creating
content in Flash for After Effects"
Basically, you Export Movie to Quicktime, then open it in
After Effects or Premier or whatever.
You said it would not let you export to Quicktime, but it did
work for me. So maybe that video has a little detail I've
forgotten.

  • IPhone High Quality Video Formats?

In our app we need to run a video that is high quality. Higher quality than the settings that quicktime pro presets output at. Does anyone know of what format settings I can use to export a high quality video to play?

I use 15 fps, because it looks better when used or converted into flash. If you just try uploading 30fps & 15 fps of the same file on youtube, you will see a change of the quality of the video.
I have never used the broadband settings for the FCP compressor .. But I will try it out.
    my bad for the bump.
and I know that there are tons of post like this, but I was trying not to get this post into a huge discussion. I was just trying to get people to just post their specs just like I have. Then we could have 1 post that answered all the questions of the specs of what people use & then people wouldn't have to search through everything..

  • FCE export settings for higher quality video

Hello. I'm a self-schooled newspaper video features producer and relative newcomer to Final Cut Express, shifting from Premium Elements. I've just begun using it to upload videos to my newspaper's finicky web system, which will only accept .flv files of a certain size. My modus operandi has been to export my videos as large .avi files, using Quicktime conversion and DV/DVCPRO/NTSC, with medium quality, with 16 bit sound set at 32 Khz. Then I run that .avi through the Adobe Flash Media Encoder with a frame rate of 15 fps, deinterlacing and resizing the screen to 640 by 480. This procedure (outlined by our former video editor) produces serviceable web quality video (You can see video that results from using these settings at http://wvgazette.com/multimedia). So, two questions: 1) I have created an 8-minute FCE music video for my band and wish to export it at a higher quality (for use on Vimeo) than these newspaper settings. Which of them do I change so that a higher quality video results without waiting all night for a massive file to upload? 2) And wthere might I turn for guidance on better understanding the Sanskrit of FCE video export settings for newbies? Thanks for any help.

The simplest way to produce good quality video for the internet is:-
    1. File>Export Using QT Conversion.
    2. The "Format" window should say, "QT Movie".
    3. In "Use" select "LAN/Intranet" from the dropdown menu.
    4. Click "Save" and when it has finished encoding, upload it.
Do not mess about altering audio settings, frame rates etc.
Using the above settings an 8 minute video would be encoded in around 20 minutes (depending on computer speed) and would be well under 100MB.
    Is that too big?

  • Best Settings for YouTube's HIgh Quality Video

I see YouTube has a new "high quality" video option that uses H.264 video at 480 x 360. If I want to take full advantade of this format how should I build my videoo to upload? I assume I should use H.264, but Premiere doesn't have an option to do so at 480x360.

After numerous trials and extensive searches on forums (with solutions way too complicated for me) this is my recipe.
(After upgrading to PE 7 I hoped that PE would do the trick, but no.)
    1. Premiere Elements.
Export ("Share") to harddisk, DV-AVI, 4:3 or Widescreen doesn't matter.
    2. Windows Movie Maker.
Import this AVI-file. You won't need to change or edit anything.
    Just "publish" (to disk) in
    WMV-format, dvd-quality (4:3 size) PAL 3,0 M.
    3. You Tube.
    Upload to YouTube.
Then wait (approx 10 min. per minute movietime) until the uploaded movie is released and online in high quality.
    Happy uploading!
Max size is 100 Mb; but there are work arounds for that too.

  • How to export a complex Keynote to high quality video for DVD?

I have had dozens of attempts to turn a complex Keynote into a high quality video.
Either they turn out disappointiingly way low res
or they are very choppy with half the transitions gone
or they Cannot make the video at all
    HELP.
I need to turn this project in to my client today.

If you use the DVD export in Keynote 3 with a self playing movie, the quality will be fine...just don't trust what you see on your mac screen, play it on a DVD player to check the quality. I did a test a while back and it was only the pauses that looked bad.
    Read about it here:
    http://www.keynoteuser.com/news/?p=135
pay close attention to what I complain about...it's just the slide pauses, not the normal motion playback, which means selfplaying stuff looks pretty decent (though never as good as the original, but that's the fault of the DVD format, not Apple).

  • Can the MacBook Pro 15" Retina with 2.0 GHz processor handle editing high-quality videos?

Will  the 2.0 GHz processor version be able to handle editing/exporting high-quality videos?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
The processor can handle HD video editing without any issue, but the problem comes with the GPU, the Intel Iris Pro GPU.
That GPU is a bit better than the Intel Iris GPU included in the 13-inch MacBook Pro, but it is still not good enough for serious video editing. If you make videos as a hobby or it is not an important task for you, the MacBook Pro with the Intel Iris Pro GPU may be enough, because it works with HD vide editing. However, if you need the best performance, you need to go for the most expensive MacBook Pro, that comes with a NVIDIA GPU

  • Importing high quality video through a lower-quality camera

    (Final Cut 5 in a G5, 10.5.8)
The camcorder I'm using to shoot video for my Final Cut projects is a Panasonic PV-GS400, a good 3-chip mini-DV camcorder that shoots high-quality DV (original price $1500).
I would prefer not to use this camera to play the video into Final Cut, to save wear and tear on its tape drive (with tape, of course, one hour of recorded video takes one hour to play into Final Cut).
I have an inexpensive little Canon Elura 100 Mini-DV camcorder (original price $400) that could be used to play the tapes from the Panasonic into Final Cut, but if I did that, would the higher quality of the Panasonic's video be degraded to the lower level of the Canon's video when passing through?
To put it another way, can a Mini-DV tape with high quality video on it be imported through a relatively low-quality camera into Final Cut and still retain its high quality?
    Thanks for any help.
    Tom

Thanks much, guys. Yes, I'm using firewire. Glad to hear there's no loss of quality when the video is strained through a lesser camcorder on its way into Final Cut.
So now I'll go ahead and use the little Canon Elura as my playback/ingest camera with no worries.
    I appreciate the help!

  • Will ipad allow higher quality video streaming over 4G?

Will there be improved video quality on youtube and other video streaming on 4G compared to existing 3G connctions?  The ipad appears to dumb down video streaming in 3G compared to streaming the same thing on wifi.  It is often highly pixelated and blocky,   Will the new ipad allow higher quality video streaming over 4G, i.e. the same quality as wi-fi?

The YouTube app is made by Google. Any suggestions you have about that app should be directed to them.

  • How to Export a WMV file in High Quality but low MB?

How to Export a WMV file in High Quality but low MB?

I'm really afraid you are the only person who can answer that.
ANY compression is totally relative: what do you think is small? What do you define as high quality?
I can get a 5 minute wmv file at just under 100mb that I find acceptable for browser downloads. You might think that's too big. I don't.
Trial and error is the only way. Personally, I've set up a compressor preset to crunch my wmv files. While it's doing it's thing, I can do something else.

  • Recording high quality video using a local buffer with FMS 3.5

Hello, I'm currently working on a webcam recorder to record high quality video. I had the recorder working before, but the video quality was quite poor. Instead I'm trying to use a client side buffer and then upload the buffer after recording has stopped. I thought after I unattached the video and audio from the NetStream that either a NetStream.Buffer.Empty or NetStream.Record.Stop event would be sent when the buffer was finished uploading. What is actually happening after I start recording is two NetStream.Record.Stop events are being sent in a row, so recording never really happens. Also, on the server side I'm trying to save a user name and password into a variable, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that since the application script is just a bunch of callback functions. I hope someone has done something similar so they might be able to help...

Here is the client application; it's quite messy because I'm just testing things at the moment, but the functions causing the problem are probably onNetStatus, recordButton_clickHandler, and stopRecButton_clickHandler.
    http://pastie.org/private/vpk6naojmvagikgxkaffha
Here is the server-side application, as you can see I commented out the variables and the code using them.

I hope my code isn't unreadable. Ask me to clarify anything if you don't understand the code. Thank you.

  • Need to convert video and audio files in high quality

Hi to all, i need to convert file types such as .AVI, .WMV and .MOV and keep the high quality, but i dont have or know any software to do this, are there any good options out there?
I don't really want to use a trial version, thanks.

I've used FFMpegX for my conversions. I've never looked at them on a large screen to see how well the video quality held on, but they look fine on my MacBook.

  • App to capture high quality video; clip; bulk export high quality?

Our students capture long videos in a high quality format (.DV), then often want to define clips within the movie, and hand them off to Compressor for compression. Unfortunatly, with the changes in Final Cut Pro X, we can find no viable way of doing that, and we've searched for hours in the app and online. The closet we found was to export stems out of the FCPX timeline using Roles:
    http://www.premiumbeat.com/blog/export-stems-out-of-your-final-cut-pro-x-timelin e-using-roles/
For simply wanting to define multple clips (no combining of clips involved), this is rather tedious, but moreso, when we use this technique, indeed only the video and audio of the clips we hand off to Compressor is seen and heard, but we end up with video black on both sides of the clip, which greatly lengthens the processing time, not to mention that we then need to trim the dead air afterwards.
We tried using iMovie 11, but unlike one or more previous versions, it is no longer possible to export multiple clips.
We've downloaded Adobe Premiere, and will be testing this.
Is there an OS X app that can capture high quality (.DV?) video/audio, make clips, then bulk export to .DV on disk, that doesn't cost over $500?

Thank you, I'm exporting to DV now to try that out.
I was choppy at my explanation, so let me go a little further. Maybe I do just use a DVD player to play this - but, let me explain further - maybe I'm not doing something right in creating the DVD.
I 'shared' from iMovie to iDvd - and burnt right to a DVD. Again, the movie was shaky on the computer. We played it on a DVD player, still a little shaky.. but not near as noticable - it looked pretty good. BUT - this is when the dvd stopped. I hit play, and it picked up right where it left off. I also was skipping through chapters, and it stopped all of the sudden. I had to go back to the main menu to start over. This was all done on a dvd player. Eventually, we played the rest of the video and it went ok. But, something tells me there might be a glitch in the DVD I created.... ?
Someone mentioned they had problems when exporting/burning right to dvd from iMovieHD. They said they exported out, then dragged the file into iDVD.. is that an option - if so, how would I go about doing that?

  • MOVIES: smaller file size, higher quality, faster loading

Here is the scheme I use for my movies. (i.e. http://web.mac.com/kentcallison/iWeb/icallison/Sing%20and%20Dance%20with%20Emily .html)
(NOTE: You need QT Pro. If you plan on putting video on your website, invest the $30. It is the best tool I have in my video toolkit.)
I use the Share/Export command in iMovie or QT Pro (depending on what the movie was edited in), choose Quicktime/Expert Settings and select Movie to MPEG-4. Then I hit the OPTIONS button.
Once you are inside the options area, do the following:
    1) File Format = MP4
    2) Video Format = H.264
    3) Data Rate = 256kbps
    4) Image Size = 320x240
    5) Frame Rate = 15
    6) Key Frame = Automatic
Then I press the Video Options button:
Restrict profile to Baseline (uncheck anything else and only check Baseline)
Encoding mode: Faster encode (single pass)
    Then select OK
Now Select Audio and change the CHANNELS setting to Mono. No one cares if your movie is in stereo on the web and changing this setting cuts the size of your audio track in half.
Finally, export the movie. You are almost finished. Once the export is complete, open the file in QuickTime Pro and choose File>Save As - choose any name, or use the same one. This step adds the Fast Start feature to your movie automatically.
Now you have an H.264 encoded movie that was encoded in half the time of the standard H.264 presets. The file size is a bit larger than the iWeb preset, but the quality is much better and the movie will start much faster.
    Hope this helps!

  • Does tweaking iPhoto prefs file produce higher quality?

I'm about to order some books & calendars. In older versions of iPhoto there was a simple hack that was recommended to produce higher quality products. It involved editing the iPhoto prefs file and changing the dpi settings.
Is this still recommended for iPhoto 08? If so, where can I find the instructions?
Any other tips for a first-time photo services customer?

    Steve M:
It's no longer necessary as iPhoto 7 has set the resolution to 300 dpi for all book sizes.
    Happy Holidays
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
