Flash 8 + iMac G5

Ok, so... first of all... how here runs FLASH 8 under a imac G5 with less then 1.5 GB of ram?, does it run slow???. choppy perfomance, it has mini freezes when using diferent commands (change tools, open actions, etc).. 'cuz mines did before I upgraded +1gb of Ram.. after I did... It still goes slow...
don't know if its the ram, the mac or the program..
does someone know?!?

Originally I had 512 of Ram, and the most noticeable program was flash 8, choppy performance would sum it up, but since i didn't had another mac to compare its performance I concluded it was due to low ram (but I've seen how it works on a PC and let me say the differences are enourmous), so thats why I went with the extra 1 gb.. but no change in performance what so ever. could it be a defective ram?
the original 512 came with the mac
the one I bought is a patriot memory 1 gb ram, pc3200 400 mhz... the same specs that mac asks for

  • Flash crashes iMac?

Hi, I have an early 2008 24 inch iMac, 3.06GHz C2D, 4G Ram,OSX 10.8.2. I read a lot in this forum regarding Flash crashes iMac. It happens to me recently when I watch CNN news video, my iMac would shutdown unexpectedly. I beleive that CNN video uses Flash plugin, that might be the issue, but what I don't understand is that I can watch Hulu movies for hours without any issues, doesn't Hulu uses Flash as well? Perhaps some web engineer at CNN uses Flash the wrong way?

  • Where do I download Adobe Flash for IMac?

    Hello there folks.
New IMac today.  Where should I download Adobe Flash/Reader from?  Does Apple have an approved third party software download site?  Do I just install from Adobe.com?
    Thanks,

  • Flash storage imac

Is it wise (dollars aside) for me to CTO a new iMac 21" with all flash storage, or better to go with Fusion?  With the advent of external and cloud-based storage, I am wondering if investing in phsyical HD for an iMac is wise, especially when in return you can configure for Flash only storage and gain speed.  Thoughts?

iOS is not compatible with the iMac directly.  Tell us your Mac OS X if you want help pertaining to your iMac.
Flash storage is faster, but also has some downsides:
    1. Complete erasure as far as I know is not possible.  Meaning your personal data stored on it is at risk if someone should get ahold of it after it hits the dump.
    2. It costs more.
    3. The maximum data storage amount isn't as much.
The Cloud is only as good as your internet connection.

  • Screen flashes 2011 iMac 27 inch

    Hi
My 2011 iMac 27 inch just have some display issues now. The screen turn a little bit dark and then turn the brightness back to normal several times in a second. (not due to automatically adjust brightness function, because I have turned it off, besides this function adjust brightness gradually)
this happens couple of times in a day. not alway like this.
I have brought my iMac to apple store twice and they replaced Graphic card and back light kit, but I still experience this problem.
What's the problem? Do you think the PSU is the cause?
    Thanks
    JH

    Update..
Today, the screen keep flash, then suddenly turn black, but the iMac keeps running, I can tell it by the fan noise and the mouth led indicator.
    What is wrong with it?
    Thanks

  • Cannot Uninstall Adobe Flash on iMac

    Hello,
I'm trying to Uninstall Adobe Flash Player. I've gone to the Adobe website and clicked on the appropriate uninstall link. However, it didn't work. The link takes me to the right uninstallation, however after I download it and open it up, it freezes or just stops working and won't proceed with the uninstall.
So how can I get this off my computer? Any ideas? I'm irritated and tired of not being able to play videos on my computer, which only occurred after installing Adobe Flash.
    Thanks!

I've the latest Flash Player on my machine and have no issue playing any flash videos on four different OSs. If the down'oaded uninstaller isn't working, DL a fresh copy. Ensure you're getting the right one and set your download, thusly:

  • Adobe TV says I need Flash 10.1 after I installed 10.2

WTF, which means ... Where's the Flash?
iMac 20" dual-core Intel with OS 10.6.7 and Safari 5.0.4
I've installed the new Flash 10.2 twice this morning. Each time, it went quickly and then slowed up at the 95% mark for about 1-2 minutes, then finished. And after each "installation," when I returned to the Adobe TV page to look at a video, the Adobe site told me I had to install Flash 10.1 (?) to play the video.
    WTF?
I even restarted the computer after the installation. Pourquoi is this not working? Danke, beaucoup, mes amigos and amigas.

    Hey Michael.
I'm having the same problem your having with Safari and Adobe TV, and I think I've found a solution.
I'm using 10.6.7 with all patches including Safari 5.0.5. If you in the same boat then this solution may work for you (it may work for other configs as well, I didn't do further testing).
    1. Make sure that the menu called "Develop" is activated in Safari. Go to (in Safari) Preferences> Advanced> turn on bottom check box called "Show Develop menu in menu bar". Close Preferences and now you should have a "Develop" Menu in your Safari menu bar.
    2. In the "Develop" menu go to "User Agent" and select (ironically enough) "Safari iOS 3.2.2 – iPad". Now reload the Adobe TV page your trying to watch, it should start playing.
DONT ASK ME WHY, BUT IT WORKS...... Now how idiotic was that?
The iOS user agent was like the second one I tried just to be cheeky. I was at my wits end with the Adobe TV thing telling me I had to have Flash 10.1 or higher when I just installed 10.2.159.1 (or w/e the hell the number is now).
Trying to watch this silly Adobe TV cost me about 45mins of researching, testing, reinstalling and it better damn well be worth it
I hope this works for you.

  • Font rendering problem... (FLash BUG)

Hi all, I have Flash instaled on two machines and both of them are having a problem when rendring flash text.
All text on flash appears like the image bellow. And When I export to SWF the text stays the same.
The font I'm using is Myriad Pro
I'm running Flash on iMac i3 3.06 with 4Gb and 256 Graphics display so that can't be the problem.
    Anyone any ideas?
    Thanks for the attention.
    y

    Hi,
i know this problem. It exists since the last os-x update.
Until now there ist no solution - only two workarounds.
    a) reinstall osx and update only to an older version
    b) sometimes it helps me to close flash, restart flash and publish again.
It seems only OTF Fonts make Problems. I know about problems with MyriadPro and DIN.
There is also a problem creating PDF Files with the OS-X internal "Print as PDF" function.
I hope there will be an update soon....
    Stefan

  • Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 Premium Edition

I need a link to download the above captioned version of Flash Builder.

iMacs are great machines. The Adobe CS suite will work on any new or older iMac.  iMacs have great video cards as well. I would suggest that once you buy the iMac, add more memory. Buying it directly from Apple is quite expensive but places like Other World Computing sell excellent memory at great prices. I don't work for them, but I am a long time customer. I love my iMac. The screen is just fabulous.

  • Cannot Load Adobe Flash, will not "stick" to system

I have "Loaded" installed Adobe Flash 20 times and it will complete ... but will not stick to the system.
As soon as I try to Open something that needs FLASH ... it says I have to install Flash.

  • Flashplayer 9 for OSX

I was recently at a site that said I need to install the most recent flashplayer to be able to print this coupon. So I installed and printed the coupon. But since then, any site I go to that needs flash or Quicktime has the big question mark and won't play. I can't find where the player was installed using searchlight and there was not an uninstaller with it. Anyone have an idea for me, thanks?

I've found an odd way to get Flash Player 9 working on my system. I found that I had to add the old Flash Player 8.0 r24 Flash Player Enabler.plugin to my Library/Internet Plug-ins folder – one of the Flash Player 9 upgrades seems to have removed it – which is logical if, presumably, it's supposedly not needed.
I've added/removed it several times to test it - after trying everything else to get Flash 9 to work - and every time with it removed 9 does not work, but with it in the folder it does work. ???
Luckily I had the plug-in in my archives. If you want to give it a try, but don't have it anywhere, I've uploaded it (it's only 8 KB in zip format) to –
    http://uploaded.to/?id=e1b3ae
(I had to zip it because Uplaoded.to was seeing it's package contents instead of as one file.)
To test whether it works or not, go to these two Macromedia pages –
