Flash 8 problems with quality

OK got a flash template and it looks nice, so go into flash
edit it then previe it and the quality is terrible... I have
compression off and JPEG quality to 100%.. why is it doing this????

Flash Problems with Google Chrome..

For the past several weeks, I am having problems with viewing my YouTube Videos. The video is getting very choppy and the audio quality is terrible. I am a computer technician and I do a lot of IT work. I have been using Chrome as my primary internet browser and I have been using it for years. For the past several weeks, it was very stressful for me to figure out the problem. I have googled the information and all of the results are the same. Here what I have done:
I had uninstalled Flash Active X and the Plug in, restarted my computer, and re-install the program. Results: nothing. No improvements.
I had uninstalled Google Chrome. Resetted my machine. And re-installed Chrome with the defaults options. Results: nothing. No improvements.
I removed my video, and my network card from my computer. Resetted my machine, and re-install the appropiate drivers. Results: nothing. No improments.
I had followed Google's recommendation from their FAQ site but no luck there..
I had resetted my cable modem and the wireless router to see if I am missing something. Results: nothing. No Improvement.
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit OS and I do not have any internet accelerators or anything to help out with my internet.
I have done several system checks and it passed with flying colors.
I am planning to write to Google about this and see what they say but I'm writing to you first.
I have the most recent Flash player on my system which is the 11.7.700.224.
Can you help me and find out what the probem? When I tried Inernet Explorer, it plays well but my heart is set to Google Chrome and I don't want to switch back.
I do need the help here.. I had done all of the things but no success. Can you help me find what I'm missing here?

You have to upgrade to 10.6.8 to be able to download the new Flash plug-in. The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list. The App Store which is required to download 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion is part of the 10.6.6 update.
If they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.

I'm sorry, but you say that without the flash the pictures are quite gud! What does that mean? Is there a problem with both flash and non-flash photos?
As far as the flash photos, do you have a case on the iPhone?

Problems with Quality of Raw file when pulled into Photoshop

I use Photoshop CS3 with ACR plugin version 4.6.0.30 installed. When I pull my RAW files into it, I seem to lose a lot of information. For example I took a picture of my black dog. I set the camera (Canon 40d) to save the file in both RAW and high res JPG. When I pull both files directly into photoshop the JPG has more detail information in the highlights and shadows than the RAW file does. This should be the reverse. To see if the problem was in the file or in the process of pulling it into photoshop I also pulled it in through Lightroom. Then I used Zoom Browser (software that came with my camera). Zoom Browser forced me to convert to a TIFF before importing it to Photoshop. I'll try attaching a file I made that shows the results of each.
My conclusion is that there is not a problem with the CR2 file, since the CR2 file converted to the TIFF has the most detail, but something is happening when I import it into photoshop. I just don't know what settings I should be looking at to fix this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Camera Raw 101: ACR has different baseline "Defaults" than the Canon software, therefore you will need to make your own adjustments–and perhaps save out a new ACR Default. Canon's software only has to worry about a small sampling of cameras. Camera Raw supports over 230 cameras' raw files. As a result Canon's software tends to match the in camera JPEG and the camera's LCD by default.
Camera Raw on the other hand is more concerned offering a normalized default rendering of the raw data. Rather than trying to force a certain "look" (generally higher in contrast and more saturated) ACR will show the raw data a bit flatter and less saturated.
Fact is, Camera Raw has a huge number of controls for the express purpose of allowing the user to maintain total control over the rendering of the raw data...what you need to do is learn how to use all the sliders....

Flash Problem With Safari After Downloading Mountain Lion

I'm getting a persistent "Shockwave Player Error" when launching or resetting Safari . . . posting here because I upgraded from Snow Leopard directly to Mountain Lion and that's when the problem began. I have a circa 2010 Macbook Pro with 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, with OS X 10.8 and Safari 6.0. I have attempted fixes in earlier threads (mostly regarding the same exact problem when upgrading to Lion), such as uninstalling Flash and reinstalling the latest from the Adobe website. Also tried (temporarily) disabling plug-ins to see if it's flash-driven.

Flash Problems with Snow Leopard Mackbook Pro

I am having trouble with Google Analytics and other websites that use hover states such as NewImageMedia.com's header. It seems the Hover Over stuff makes the Flash go crazy. When I say gow crazy I mean, it shoots the hover over stuff to the right at like 100%+ width and it goes off the page. I updated to 10.6.3 today because I thought that might clear the issue I was having. I used the Flash uninstaller, re-installed, fix permissions, put Safari in 32 bit and am still having difficulties. Also noticed my Parallels 3 doesn't work anymore with which is a shame.
This MBP is brand new, I just got it and installed everything from Time Machine. Is there any way I can just downgrade to 10.5? Would Apple do that for me? I can't keep dealing with these problems that Snow Leopard is having. I have too much work to do.

I want to also note that the issue is in Chrome as well, but Flash works properly in FireFox.

Problems with quality in iDVD

I've been trying to burn a DVD using iDVD. I created a several videos in iMovie HD at 720p Quality. All of them look great in iMovie and are excellent quality when exported to .mov files, but when I place these iMovie projects (or the .mov files) into iDVD and burn them, the quality is dropped substantially. The size of the imported video is 2005 pixels by 1504 pixels in H.264 codec before it is imported into iMovie, and the quality from source file to iMovie is essentially the same. I've changed the quality to professional in iDVD and this has done nothing to the quality
Any thoughts or suggestions would be incredibly helpful. Thanks!

I had the same problem. I still have not been able to burn DVD's with iDVD even close to the same quality as the iMovie project looks, or even how the iDVD project looks.
Here's my work-around:
Instead, I first save the iDVD project to a disc image. I then use disk utility to burn the DVD. The quality of the burned DVD is significantly better when done this way-- in my experience anyways.
Here's what to do:
In iDVD, go to File>Save as Disc Image...
After you have created the disc image on the desktop, then open up Disc Utility.
Next, follow the instructions from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2087 which I have pasted below:
Disk Utility (Mac OS X 10.3 or later)
Open Disk Utility, in the Utilities folder (/Applications/Utilities).
If the disk image you want to use doesn't appear in the list, drag its icon to the Disk Utility window.
Select the disk image and click Burn.
Insert a blank CD or DVD into your computer's optical drive and follow the onscreen prompts.
Disk Copy (Mac OS X 10.0 through 10.2.8)
Open Disk Copy in the Utilities folder (/Applications/Utilities).
From the File menu, choose Burn Image. Don't open the disk image file before choosing this command.
A navigation dialog appears. Locate and select the disk image file.
Click Burn.
When prompted, insert a blank disc into the optical media drive.
Click Burn.
Depending on your computer's settings, the drive will eject the disc, or it will appear on the desktop when the burn is successfully completed.
Note: When burning a disc from a disk image, the burned disc will have the same format as the disk image. If you need a disc that will work on different computers, burn the disc in the Finder.

Problems with quality of image since upgrading to Adobe Reader XI version11.0

Since installing the new update I seem to be having a problem scanning files to PDF - first the scan missed off the bottom over every page but after several hours of changing settings on the computer and on the scanner (and actually uninstalling all printer and adobe software and reinstalling it again), this now seems to be ok - but the quality of the PDF is quite poor.
I can't work out how to get a better quality and I am sure it is something to do with PDF / Adobe because when I scan the document and save it as word / TIFF / JPEG, the image is brilliant. I also can't seem to save any of the TIFF / JPEG files to PDF.
Any ideas? The above problem is happening on my MAC and on the integrated Windows 7 via VMFusion Ware.

Good Day! I also noticed that after I installed the Adobe Reader XI Version 11.0.1 that the image quality is very poor unless you zoom in a lot. If I open the same PDF file with Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.0, the image quality is very good. There must be an issue with Reader XI Ver 11.0.1. Also, I have found that if I select text and copy it to the clipboard, an error message pops up. The text is, in fact, copied to the clipboard, so I don't know what the error is. The error box is created by Adobe, not Microsoft Windows.

Flash problems with Vista

For some reason my newish laptop ( 3months old
,Vista,centrino duo) does not seem to run flash even after i've
downloaded it.
The flash site says its downloaded and animates but it
doesn't run ,
Its a massive pain in the arse, does anyone know why its

QuickTime/Flash problem with Firefox - Redux

I know people are having problems getting Flash content to play on the latest version of Firefox (7) for Macs. I know it has something to do with QuickTime interceding on behalf of Flash Player and screwing with Firefox's mind. Following instructions on this forum, I downloaded the latest version of Flash Player 9, loaded it, and everything worked fine -- as long as I didn't quit Firefox. Opening Firefox again, the problem's back. Returning to your forum, you suggest I go into QuickTime's preference menu and turn off Flash in the Advanced section. Trouble was, it wasn't on. So, now what do I do?
Also, I really don't want to turn off Flash in QuickTime. I will be making Flash movies again soon, and QuickTime is integral to that. I also like Firefox. I really don't want to stop using it. Has anyone told Mozilla they really screwed up and need to fix this problem?

You mean Firefox version 2.0.0.6. That's the latest version.
In the preferences for Quicktime-->Enable Flash-->leave unchecked. That's to play .swf (flash) that is wrapped in a Quicktime container. And Quicktime only supports .swf (flash) version 5 and below... Really not a selling point... What are they up to version 8/9 now? To me not worth making any more. Unless your using flash to make sprites to use in Qt. And at that point you knew to know actionscript for version 5 of flash.
If you come across a .swf/quicktime a popup window will ask you if you want to activate it. When you close out the browser window it will revert to being off again.
Go to the MIME Settings that is just below that Enable Flash box. Scroll down to the bottom... Miscellaneous file Formats. Uncheck Flash media. This one really needs to be off!!!
As far as I know Quicktime really doesn't play a part in Flash anymore. As a container.

Flash problems with Youtube HELP!

I am trying to see an ad on youtube. However, only the audio
portion is broadcast through the PC - no visual.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled flash. The flash on my PC
passed the test at the adobe site. No one at my office has a clue
as to why this is happening.

I have a problem where
Adobe Flash Suddenly comes on when I am writing a Message on a 123greetings card & suddenly Adobe Flash
coming on with an advertisement & completely interferes with my competing my greeting card.
It not only blocks anymore writing, but sends my card into limbo/into space with complete loss of it. It does this sometimes in the middle & often when I often when I have it almost ready to send... it completely knocks my card to my wife off me off & it disappears suddenly.
AND THEN, I have to start Al Over Again!
Sometimes it does this over & over until I quit writing & just finally give up!
WHAT can I DO?
I even finally tried UNINSTALLING the Adobe Flash, but it wouldn't but I couldn't even find where I could do that.
WHAT can I do to Fix this Problem???

The sleep() and AS3_GoAsync() was added to verify that main did not bail out too quickly (the actual test has other code there to prevent main from exiting but i removed it for this test)
When i start it with the standalone player i see the "preload" print but it never reaches the "postload".
We use the flascc/sdk/usr/share/Console.as with some modifications related to IO initialization.
The Console.as does the CModule.startBackground().
Any input on what I'm doing wrong?

Just for future reference if anyone else hits this issue. The problem seems to come from the startBackground, and was resolved when i used startAsync() in the Console.as and do a AS3_GoAsync() in main().

Surely, you must understand that your question is impossible to answer, but anyway I can get you some opions about it.
MSI 865pe platinum are built of quality components and have passed several Q-controls before reaching the market for sale.

Still there will never be a 100% guarantee, that some boards will have some faults
of some reasons and have to be RMA:ed.
Nearly all PC componenets are sensitive for elektromagnetic´s and electrical shocks, so be very careful when touching the motherboard and it´s components and see to it that you get yourself "statical unloaded" before touching anything.
and always unplug power cable when doing something inside the PC.
Second you have to get a high-quality PSU that has built-in power overload protection.
You can not protect yourself from power breakdowns, unless you get your own powerstation.
Anyway, my 865pe platinum have survived a couple of power breakdown´s.
But if it should be damaged because of heavy power overload / bad PSU I would not be too sure that it will be within the official guarantee anyway.

Flash problem with shadows created in PhotoShop

I am relative flash newbie. I created a PSD file in photoshop
that has a "hole" in it and the hole has drop shadow, the
background is transparent. Saved out PSD and created new Flash
file.
Put this graphic on one layer and image on a layer behind to
show through. But the drop shadow I created in Photoshop does not
show correctly. It's much lighter over top of the graphic behind
it.
Any ideas?
