[Flash 8] Recomendación de un libro para exprimir el flash en el apartado Multimedia...

A los buenos días!
Como últimamente cada vez me están tocando
presentaciones multimedia mas y
mas complejas, acabo dándome de cabezadas con los
componenetes de FLV
PlayBack compilados, y sus propiedades..., a la hora de
tratar de
personalizarlos...
Asi que me gustaría que si alguien conoce algún
libro (me encantan los
libros...) que merezca la pena, en cuanto a posibilidades de
Flash con audio
y video, haciendo streamming..., creando controles multimedia
personalizados
a medida del cliente....
En la web he encontrado esta referencia en la web de Adobe,
que no esta nada

Is there a way to open another pdf via a button in my (pdf embedded) flash movie?

My Acrobat 9 pro pdf, contains an ActionScript 2.0 swf, added via the Flash tool, on the multimedia toolbar.
The Flash file contains an animation introducing a collection of linked pdf files.
At the end of the intro a button appears, which when clicked, should replace the current pdf with one of the linked ones.
Is it possible to do this inside actobat?

Flash upload form does not recognize foreign characters

i have a flash form which uploads multimedia files and submit
it to a java back-end along with other form fields. works for
english characters but when it submits foreign characters such as
chinese or spanish, the worlds are garbled on the other side. it
seems like flash default is not set to utf-8, has anyone ever had
seen this or had this problem before???

Thanks for the link. It didn't solve the issue on my mother in law's desktop, but it did contain a link to another solution for desktops (and for laptops not helped by the link you provided).
The link reads: "If you don't have a PC laptop or the steps above did not help, see this document for more information."
Essentially, putting the iPod into disc mode caused it to be recognized by XP and all was well.
Anyway, your help is much appreciated as it's particularly difficult for me to work in the Windows enviroment since I so rarely do it.

Export from Flash in QT

I am working about a video for a menu i make in Flash. From flash i export in quick time. I have found the better params to export (QT, Anim, ) but do i have to use format : color 24 or 32 (alpha channel ) ?

I expect you wont need the Alpha channel. And as long as you are exporting recognisable video resolutions and speeds you should be fine.
I can't think of what the 24 and 32 are refering to. But hey the bigger the better. It's not bits. But Flash is a very multimedia beast so it could be anything.

Flash Content in Microsoft Word

I'm attempting to create a PDF using a Microsoft Word document that contains a Flash Animation that exists as a .SWF file.

I have figured out how to use Object in Word to embed the SWF file and use the Control Box to activate it, however, like you when I convert to Acrobat PDF from the Word Add-in it does not embed the SWF in a playable format, although the object is there. I can't seem to get any relevant properties using the Touch Up Object tool either. I hope someone else has a clue. Otherwise I recommend creating your word document with "empty" text boxes that the text will wrap around and then converting to PDF and once in Acrobat embed a Flash object using the Multimedia button.

Flash Player says it installs.. but no media content works/shows plug in required message

I recently updated my Firefox to the newest version. In doing so, I was prompted to update my Flash Player. I went ahead and downloaded and installed the new version, as I have before. Except this time, after the installation was complete, every site I visited requiring the Flash Player to show multimedia content... shows the dreaded plug in required message. I have attempted to reinstall the player MULTIPLE times. I have deleted and reinstalled Firefox. Nothing has helped, and I am becoming increasingly frustrated. There is no indication the installation has failed aside from the fact that no multimedia content works.
I am on a MAC version 10.4.11 if that is of any help to anyone. Would appreciate any help as this is getting really tiresome.

Probably you get that message because the flash plugin
checker they implemented is checking for a specific version and not
higher then x.

Dynamic embedding of video file in pdf

Hi,
I wanted to embed a video file ( *.mp4 format) in a pdf file programatically.
I am using C# / Asp.net 4.0.
Please let me know if there is any way / any tools do to it.

Open the PDF in which you want to embed and autoplay a movie in Acrobat Pro. Click "File" on the menu bar and choose "Open" to display the Open dialog box. Navigate to the PDF, select it, and then click the "Open" button.

Go to the page where you want to embed the movie. Acrobat's "Page Navigation" controls are on the left side of the Toolbar.

Click "Tools" on the menu bar and choose "Multimedia," and then select "Flash Tool" from the Multimedia fly-out menu. Click and drag on the page were you want the movie to display to draw a Flash object control box. This opens the "Insert Flash" dialog box.

Click the "Browse" button to display the "Select a File" dialog box. Navigate to the SWF, select it and click the "Open" button. Click the "Show Advanced Options" check box at the bottom of the Insert Flash dialog box to expand the dialog box to display advanced options.

Click the "Launch Settings" tab. Click the "Enable When" drop-down and choose "The page containing the content is opened." Click "OK." The movie will now autoplay when the page containing it is opened.

How to print a PDF with multimedia content?

I have a 127 page PDF with flash files and other multimedia embedded. How do go about printing this to a laser printer?

My problem is, I need to print the document with the mm items. I work
in a print & copy shop, we must deal with whatever the customers send
us.
I actually stumbled around and found I could do it with the MultiMedia
Flash Tool, editing the poster options. It's a tedious process though,
and I'd like to find a way to set this for the whole PDF file at once.
If you know how to do this I'd appreciate the info.

Changing HTTP to HTTPS in topic's true code of Robohelp

Maybe someone can help me out there: In one of the topics of
my help file, I've inserted a multimedia file (an swf file). When
looking at the true code of the topic - I notice that Robohelp
inserted the following links:

When executing the multimedia file from the application (the
htm file is added to our application - a web based application), an
error occurs.
The programmers have told me that the reason there is an
error is because when calling the file, they are calling an https
file and not an http file.
I've tried to manually change in the true code the http
command to https..but when I save, the command automatically
changes back to http.
Does anyone know how I can get around this issue?

Hi, and welcome to the RH forums....
If changing the href syntax is all that is necessary, you can
do that to the output files, after generating WebHelp. If you don't
want to do this manually every time, you can use FAR, or ReplaceEm
to quickly repeat the same modifications each time. FAR is
shareware, with a lot of other cool tools included; ReplaceEm is
freeware, and a one-trick pony (but it does it's one trick very
well).

Running an RMA in 9.5.1

I am trying to create a PDF in an Enterprise scenario with the following criteria:
all users are non-admin's and unable to install new applications.
70% of the desktops only have IE, and therefore the only flash plugin available is the Active X plugin.
~30% of the desktops also have firefox, and there the NPAPI flash plugin.
desktops are running Reader 9.5.1 (with decoupled flash), and 10.1.3 (with authplay still packaged).
I need to distribute a PDF with embedded flash media that will run on all these machines. This document CANNOT prompt the users to install a flash plugin, or other multimedia plugin, or the business sponsors will not allow the document to be distributed. My problem is for the group of users who are running only IE and have Reader 9.5.1 installed. These users will not be able to run an RMA, so I will need to launch the media as a Legacy Media object.
The solution I am pursuing is to check if an RMA can run, and if so launch that. If the RMA will not run, then I would want to launch the legacy media object. I would preferably like to check if the legacy media will run successfully as well and give users a friendly message letting them know they are missing the media content.
Unfortunately all my attempts to this point to check for the existence of the RMA in 9.5.1 result in the user being prompted to download flash, and any checks for the legacy media object result in the user recieving a security prompt to trust the document. My questions are as follows:
is there any way to check if an RMA will run in 9.5.1 without prompting the user to download flash?
is there any way to check if a legacy media object will run in 9.5.1 without giving the user a security prompt?
is there any way that I can avoid packaging the swf content into the document separately for both RMA and Legacy to reduce document size??
Any answers or other ideas on potential approaches would be greatly appreciated.

What is the status of Arch64

What is the status of arch64 is it as stable as 32 bit arch distribution?
What possibilities there are that makes arch64 able of running 32bit programs(especially 32b firefox with flash plugin)?

Following The Arch Way I usually do my research and try to resolve my own problems without bothering you with n00b questions, this way when I eventually found the way to fix that problems I post the explaination here so other green users like me can have it a little easier.
Said that, I'm burned about making flash work (and usually multimedia) ok in KDE SC (4.4.3) on a Arch x64 system.
Flash movies play well but with no audio when in GNOME -the other DE/WM I tried- flash run smooth. Any idea!? I installed flashplugin packet from extra, would help in any way using ndiswrapper?

Tengo un formulario que tiene campos de introducción de
texto pero hay texto
escritos en ellos... la idea es ke al poner el cursor encima
desaparezca el
texto... como se hace esto?

Read content in Microsoft Word file.

My new project is to read content in Microsoft Word. But,
blah blah blah code are appeared when I read microsoft word file
with cffile tag, and display included content in textarea. Here is
my coding. Anything wrong in my coding and how can I read ms.word
file and display included content in this file??

I have figured out how to use Object in Word to embed the SWF file and use the Control Box to activate it, however, like you when I convert to Acrobat PDF from the Word Add-in it does not embed the SWF in a playable format, although the object is there. I can't seem to get any relevant properties using the Touch Up Object tool either. I hope someone else has a clue. Otherwise I recommend creating your word document with "empty" text boxes that the text will wrap around and then converting to PDF and once in Acrobat embed a Flash object using the Multimedia button.
