Flash 8 SWF loading Flash 6 and 7 SWF with quality issues

I have made a Flash 8 .exe that "loadmovie"s a
Captivate(Flash 6) SWF. The animation screenshots come out blurred
when the SWF is loaded in the Flash 8 .exe. If I create a test
Flash 7 .exe, this does not happen. Any Ideas?
PS - I need to use Flash 8 because of filters and VP6
video.

It's not completely clear what you're saying.
Do you have a wrapper SWF that first dynamically loads the
Flash 6 movie? If so, then is that wrapper in Flash 8 format? If
that's the case, then if someone has only the Flash 6 Player then
it may not be displayed anyway.
If what you're doing is loading the Flash 8 movie into Level
0 of the Flash 6 movie, then this may be causing some of the mess
you're experiencing.
Normally there are two ways to catch a viewer that doesn't
have the Flash 8 Player: 1) a detection script, which usually
works, and is part of many of the HTML templates that are built
into Flash (HTML Settings panel); or 2) Put the Flash 6 movie on a
separate HTML page from the Flash 8 SWF.

The message is " An error occurred, please try again later" just with youtube. Other sites work. Another browser works with youtube!!

Whay do you mean "difficult with the camer?"
Two things that might help. Reset all your settings and reset the phone.  Use the Settings app to reset all settings. Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings  Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that helps.

What's the best Mac to run Logic Pro 9 and above with no issues?

Any Mac that can happily run OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and Logic Pro 9.1.5.....
Note: Newer Macs cannot run Snow Leopard because SL doesn't provide hardware support for the newer hardware found in these newer Macs....
Next best combo for newer Macs is Mavericks 10.9.5 and Logic Pro 9.1.8... but it is nowhere near as efficient a combo as the previous one mentioned...

  • Flash Player is Faulty and Riddled with Bugs

Adobe Flash Player 10 is faulty and riddled with bugs.
Those are not my words but it is what I was told by the NFL (National Football League) as many of their customers are experiencing extreme difficulties in using NFL content and services that utilise flash.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOu8edrbb4I
It is not just myself who is having problems with Flash but a multitude of people.
Adobe have released a faulty bug ridden product that doesn't work properly and they have effectively shut down half the web which is flash based in the process preventing many multitudes of people around the globe from using numerous websites.
Are you listening Adobe? You caused this problem. When are you going to fix it?

First of all, you are not addressing Adobe here - this is a user-to-user forum, and we are all just users here.
Second, if you need help with your Flash Player installation, give us some facts, and someone will help you.  (That is, if you want some help, and not just complain.)
I have watched that long and unnecessary video (giving us the error message would have been much easier), and the problem comes from incorrect registry permissions on your system.  It can easily be fixed by following the instructions on this article http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/494/cpsid_49419.html

  • SWF loaded into MainNav SWF - Rollovers & Links Don't Work

    Hi all,
This is probably a very basic question!
I have a Fla file with Text and Movie clips in it. The Text
is animated when rollover occurs and thumbnail images click and
link to the full size versions.
It works when published (Say "LatestText.SWF").
But when I call it from my Main Nave FLA/SWF, upon loading
the Text.SWF, the rollover anim doesn't happen and the picture
    links don't work when clicked.
I have the latest flash player installed and the actual
weblink cursor appears as if the SWF acknowledges everything is
working, but nothing dynamic actually works.
Any Ideas? THANKS ALL! Much appreciated!

I'll try to flesh it out, although I don't think there's need
for any code behaviours as they all work fine - until the info.SWF
    is loaded into the main.SWF.
So i'll try my best to flesh this out:-
I have a Navigation FLA which publishes to SWF (at the moment
Allow access to Local Files - tried network).
This Nav.FLA is the main bulk of the website, it has all the
    links and window panes.
I have a downloaded window pane style component which is an
autoscroller (in case this could be the problem).
I can load my info.SWF's straight into the container, by way
of an Actionscript Anim Frame (1) and when the Nav.SWF is tested or
published, it indeed loads in the smaller info.SWF no problems and
    scrolls around beautifully,
The Info.SWF's I'm creating is just basically embedded
dynamic text, with a few movie clips that have Behaviours when
    clicked or rolled-over.
These Behaviours do not seem to work when the Nav.SWF's
window pane loads in the Info.SWF - they APPEAR clickable (mouse
pointer changes to hand) but nothing clicks and THEN works. The
rollover animations (actioned via behaviours from LABELS - not
frame numbers) also do not work?
Any ideas from those that know to those that struggle would
be greatly appreciated! It's the first time I've encountered a
problem with my Flash website that I can't seem to find an answer
to in all my tutorials and books!
    There's a challenge!

  • SWF Loader scaling my SWFs

    Hello all,
I have a Flex app that loads in a swf using 'SWFLoader' tag.
the SWFloader and the swf being loaded in are the same height and
width (see attached code) Now, the SWF getting loaded in is also
468 X 351 however the designers that made it have crazy amount of
random Movie Clips EVERYWHERE that isn't on the stage. My guess is
that the actual height and width of the SWF is close to 1000 X
1000. When I load this SWF in to my SWFLoader it scales everything
down so all of the MovieClips are inside of this SWFLoader rather
than just the SWF's Stage. Any Suggestions?

Try wrapping it as a component with the Flex component kit.
    That way you
get to specify the bounding box.

  • Load Balancing and Failover with 10G Standard Edition

    Hi,
I am new to Oracle Replication and need some help setting up replication for load balancing and failover. Is this possible using Oracle 10G Standard Edition? I plan on having all updates done on the master site and both databases will be for reads. In case of failure of the master site, I would need to be able to failover to the other database.
Also, if anyone knows of any documention for Basic Replication in 10G, please let me know.
    Thanks.

Simple nnapshot replication of data would require significant manual effort to configure to load balance or failover. One the load balancing side, you would generally be limited to to static load balancing-- assigning half the users to one machine and the other half of the users to the other machine, regardless of who is actively using the machine. Failover would be a significant manual effort, particularly to bring the failed machine back into the cluster. You would be implementing the guts of multi-master replication.
Frankly, if you actually have a system which is valuable enough to need load balancing and disaster recovery, I'm going to wager that it will be far cheaper even in the short run to buy more boxes and/or enterprise edition licenses than to try to implement this sort of thing yourself. In the long run, it will be far cheaper, since it will be far easier to maintain. Building all this yourself would probably be penny wise and pound foolish.

  • [Solved]Updated system, and dealing with glibc issue.

    I neglected to update/use Arch for quite some time, and decided to last night. I quickly encountered problems and I've read https://www.archlinux.org/news/filesyst … equired-1/, https://www.archlinux.org/news/the-lib- … a-symlink/, https://www.archlinux.org/news/fontconf … -required/, http://allanmcrae.com/2012/07/updating- … e-install/, and many threads about issues with filesystem and/or glibc.
First, I followed the instructions to resolve the issue with fontconfig.
    <read various threads>
Then, I landed here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/De … iki:usrlib. I installed glibc-2.16.0-1-x86_64 using the instructions provided. IIRC, I was still experiencing conflicts with filesystem. I came across a thread where a user stated that instructions from Allan McRae's blog (from the link at the top) allowed him to upgrade his system. I tried it out, and I got around the filesystem issue as well as the issue with dependencies linked to tzdata, etc. My issue now lies with the pacman -Su step:

On an irrelevant note, a red flag went up earlier. By some means, it appears I messed up Arch. Is there a chance I can fix the issue with the kernel or is the best option a reinstall?

I checked out https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Initramfs, and I'm not sure what to do. I rebooted a few times in attempt to get things going. I'm assuming I need to start by logging in to the live CD as root and mounting the sda in which Arch is installed? I don't know how to mount root nor know the complete title for the Arch partition (sda x,x). Sorry for the hassle.
Edit: Found https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ch … partitions. Be back in a bit.
I currently have the temporary filesystems mounted, chrooted, and am in bash.
    # mkinitcpio -p linux
    doesn't work. I tried
    mkinitcpio -g ..... 3.6.10-1-ARCH
and I received something about 3.6.10 and a module directory.

  • Can Flex3 generated swf load Flash Builder generated swf?

    Hi All,
My company is corrently using Flex 3 appliaction (Host application) to host other Flex3 applications (Widgets).
We load the host application and the host appliaction loads couple of widgets (using SWFLoader)  that were also compiled using flex bulder 3.
My qustion is, can i load swf files that where compiled using Flash Builder my Flex3 host application swf?
    Thasnk in advance,
    Lior

Old content cannot load content from newer versions.  You can go the other way around though, so upgrade the main app to Flex 4 and you can load Flex 3 content into it

  • Finding Flash Installation, alter settings and use with webcam

I am running on Windows 7 using Chrome.  I am doing a course where I need to send information from my webcam to a website.  I downloaded Flash Player and somewhere on the website it had a section where it had the address of the university.  It also had another address not applicable so I deleted that and in doing so also deleted the address of the uni.  I know diddly squat about both the webcam and Flash and am really running out of time to submit my assignments.  Flash did unload on my computer, but to where, I have no idea.  I have done searches but it nothing. So that took most of yesterday. Today, I researched it further and it was suggested that Flash was incorporated in Google and was enabled by fault and included in Chrome system updates.  So I went into plug ins and find the Flash listing is enabled.  There is also only one listing on the plug ins in spite of me downloading one yesterday and it is supposed to be on Chrome as well.  .Bottom line .....  how do Flash and the webcam work together?  How do I reinstall the university's web address on Flash, does it automatically attach itself to webcam and then do I get the option of who I share my webcam work with.  Hope you can understand all this because I can't and I am getting a mighty  nervous about getting these assignments out.   Many thanks

  • Slow loading blog and problems with comments

I've had a number of visitors e-mail to say that my blog takes too long to load, that the page is "jumpy" when scrolling down the page, and that it may not allow the person to comment or when commenting the site unexpectedly closes.
I've tried viewing the site using a PC and I see these problems with Firefox. IE users can leave comments and the site loads a bit better but not ideal.
Are other users experiencing these problems?

Kathryn ~ You could try downsizing your images manually using, for example, the Preview app and choosing File > Save As... then reducing the Quality slider.
    Or downsize them automatically via:
...which I haven't personally used. Also I don't know whether it works with iWeb '06.

  • Screen constantly flashes when loading flash site

    Hi,
I have a sparadic problem, i have been told that occasionally
when the site is loaded the entire page will constantly flash until
refreshed. The problem is on both Mac and PC, and on Firefox, IE
and Safari, which leads me to believe there is a bug, or something
i am doing in the code. It has happened on 2 sites,
    www.charlesward.com and www.djhdesign.com
If anyone else has had this problem please let me know if you
found a solution. If anyone is willing to help i can send you the
    .FLA.
    Thanks for any help,
    Pat

    Hi Path
It does it for me too, not an entire page by loaded images.
    My guess is that your
preloader loop action has problem. After loading goes to
frame and comes back to the
loader frame. Perhaps no stop action on the frame where image
is ? There is for sure
a loop, you need to place stop action somewhere and all
    should be ok. Beside that
nothing else seem to be making problems.
    Best Regards
