Flash 9 won't download on Mac

I'm running OS 10.3.9 and all of a sudden flash wont work for firefox or safari when I'm trying to watch hulu or youtube. When I try to re-install Flash 9, all it does is downloads the .dmg file to my desktop and then NADA. nothing works.

Great to know that the problem was solved for yo. I tried dropping the file FlashPlayer Plugin into the HD Library/ Internet Plugins and nothing changed. What do you do with the other file flashplayed.xtp? Will this make the program run? HELP!!!!
<>When I attempted to download the Flashplayer 9, the download would get to two more files to install and it would stall for almost an hour. Adobe programs normally do not take any more time to load than possibly a few minutes. This one stalls it everytime. Something is not right. I would have to force close the computer and restart it again. I have a MacMini 125 GHz with OS 10.3.9. The message I receive when atempting to use YouTube or other movie type programs is as follows: "You either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player
The JavaScript is turned on and I used Adobe's Uninstall Flashplayer to insure I wasn't attempting to load multiple programs.
So, I really would like a solid answer (please) to the exact method of placing the correct FlashPlayer program into the computer.
One other strange addition: When I did attempt to download a suggestion for a correct FP from another site, the opening of a very old Netscape 4.7 opened and attempted to be the update. I canceled it and trashed it immediately.
So, if there is someone reading this, please.... All I would like to have is a direct method of the actual download, that will not stall the computer and will allow me to place the correct FlashPlayer for this computer into the computer.
Thank you

  • Email messages won't download on Mac Pro but do download on iPhone.

Email messages won't download to Mac Pro but do download on iPhone 5. I've made no changes in the settings on added any updates, etc. When I "check for new mail" I hear an ping - a tone I normally don't get but no messages appear. Thanks in advance for an help you can give.

I had to call Apple Support for resolution. I'm not entirely clear on the origin of the problem but it seems that the server name(s) for Apple Mail were changed by Yahoo. It took a considerable time to correct but a senior advisor at Apple pulled it through.
Thank you all for your suggestions.

  • Flash Professional 8 English download for MAC

    Hi,
I am trying to download the English version of the "flash professional 8" trial program for "MAC" but when I press download, nothing happens.
I can install the french version and currently am testing the french version, however I am not fluent in french, nor do I wish to improve my french skills.
If I could get a a working English version of "Flash Professional 8" that would be great!!
    thanks in advance,

Sorry, but I really think this is a hopeless cause unless you feel like diving into some very dark places of the Internet. And it's even somewhat pointless from the company's point of view - ActionScript 2 and other legacy Flash features are long deprecated. Unless they only use this for doing offline stuff, I see no reason why anyone would use such an old version. You might inquire on the Flash forum if someone has this old version and might be willing to share the installer via Dropbox or so, so you could at least use the 30day trial for a while, but that's probably as good as it gets.

  • Acrobat won't download to mac?

I just downloaded Acrobat Pro and it says it won't open to Macs. WHAT?! How do I solved this, I already paid for a month. Nice they don't mention this until after you buy the product. Any advice would be helpful.

I just downloaded to my MacBook Pro and when I try to open Acrobat Pro, it crashes after a few seconds and I get this message:
    Exception Type:  EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
    Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000000

  • Adobe flash player won't download in Mavericks. No previous versions

Adobe flash player won’t install past 50% in Mavericks. No previous versions on my machine. All requirements are met per Adobe. Please HELP!

    bobgoldsteiner,
try downloading the offline installer of Flash Player from here, and then run the installer locally on your MacBook Pro.

  • Downloads such as adobe flash update won't download even when anti virus is disabled. The download box appears and runs but doesn't show anything.

Any updates or downloads won't download in Firefox. The download box appears, goes thru the motions but doesn't park anything in the file. I usually have to quite Mozilla, use Explorer for the download, such as Go to Meeting, or Adobe updates. Can't download anything with Firefox from your browser.

I am having the same issue -- IE7, XP SP3... Flash Player
will not download or install, but will download and install for

  • Flash Player won't download for IE7

Since the update of IE7 of last week, I can't download Adobe
Flash Player. I tried downloading it using Firefox and it downloads
but installs only on Firefox, so I suppose the player is browser
    specific.
I need the player when I go to www.nytimes.com and click on
the video box, which now a days says I need to update the Flash
Player. I click on the button and it takes me to Adobe downloads,
but when I click for download (agree and install), a new page says
I have to allow downloads and instructs me to "Important Message:
You may need to click the gold bar at the top of the browser window
to allow the install." The thing is that there is no yellow ribbon
for the Adobe website, so I can't really allow for the pop-up
(download). I switched off the pop up blocker and still can't get
the player to download. As I said, this all started after that rush
job by Microsoft to update IE last week.
    I run Windows XP, SP3.
What could I be doing wrong?

  • Downloaded movie on ipad2, won't download on mac

I downloaded a movie on my iPad2. The extras and gag reel are apparently only available on my MacBook Pro. (had a pop up message stating that this was so). I opened up iTunes and the movie won't download unless I purchase it again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Does the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option download the extras on your computer's iTunes ? Or does the film show via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage for redownloading ?

  • Mac OSX 10.9.4 Can't install flash player - won't download in installer window

  • Flash Player won't download on iMac

I am trying to update my Flash Player but I just go round and round the two Adobe download sites in a circle. Nothing happens when I click the download button.
    iMac (2011), Mavericks OS 10 9.1
    Existing Flash player version 11.9.900.170
New version offered by the Adobe site: 12.0.0.38
    Safari Version 7.0.1
In Mavericks > System Prefs > Flash Player > Advanced I have checked "Allow Adobe to install updates (recommended)"
In Mavericks > System Prefs > Security & Privacy > Firewall, the Firewall is turned OFF.
In Safari > Security > I have checked "Enable Java Script" and
I have checked "Allow Plugins. In "Manage Website Settings", under "Allow subsites to use this plug-in with the settings below", and "Currently Open websites", get.adobe.com is "Always Allow".
    The Problem:
    I have visited:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html
which confirms my present version of Flash Player. I press on:
"Download Adobe Flash Player page by clicking here."
    That takes me to:
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
but when I press the big rectangular orange button "Install now" I am sent to:
    http://www.adobe.com/uk/
which is promotion for the Cloud. At the bottom is "Downloads" and a button "Adobe Flash Player". Pressing that button takes me back to:
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
So I am going round in circles with no error message to tell me what is wrong.
I got the same result when running Mountain Lion (OS 8), now also in Mavericks
I need to use another application that requires the current version of Flash Player. What a nightmare!
    Any ideas please?

need a new version of flash player. I try and download a new

    Hi Phx9217-
I don't know why RealPlayer would care about your FP version
as long as it was v9xx or better (for the online stuff.) Did it
work previously with another FPv?? What has happened lately? Did
you dl FP10 and THEN get the message?
Anyway- what browser are you normally using? WinXP2?
    ........Need more info......
Also, check out the FP support pages.

  • My adobe flash player won't download--gets stuck at 25%

I have a Mac.  I've tried downloading adobe flash player a couple times now.  It installs well, but it always gets stuck at 25% when it downloads.  Then when I try to shut down it tells me I can't because it's installing even though I keep trying to quit the installation.  So then I have to shut my Mac down by using the emergency shut down button.  Please help Adobe!  If you can get back to me ASAP that would be great.

    Hello,
This morning we resolved a problem that prevented Flash Player installations from completing for some of our Macintosh users.
If you encountered this problem, please delete any previously downloaded Flash Player installer and either:
Download the installer again from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer, OR
Download the stand-alone installer posted at the bottom of the http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html in the ‘Still having problems’ section.
If the behaviour reproduces, please clear the browser's cache and try downloading again.
    Thank you.
    Maria
