Flash and perhaps some answers for others...

Maybe it's me, but I can't find a way to include Flash movies. In the next release of iWeb, it would be beneficial to have an 'advanced users' function where we could edit some of the html to include things like 'flash' and to allow links to open in a new window. I have dreamweaver, but I prefer the look of the Apple-provided sites.
In so far as difficulties with publishing to personal websites, all I did was publish to a folder, then used an FTP client to move to folder et al to the root of the website. It's a pain in the *, especially with a daily blog to update, but it gets the job done until Apple releases new and better versions of iWeb.
P.S. I'm an ex-iBlog user, but found that it hung and did nothing else once updating to 10.4.4

Many Flash file formats can be opened using QuickTime Player.
If you author in Flash you must "publish" as version 5, or lower, and then open the Flash file (.swf) in QuickTime Pro and "Save As" to create a .mov file.
These files will work just fine and your viewers will only need the QT plug-in to view your pages.
I use many Flash formats inside my QT "movies". I use Flash controllers in my "skin track" movies and use Flash in many of my "videos".
The key is the file format.

Update: It seems as though the phone will charge if I plug it in and then turn it off. It will not charge while the phone is on. Also iTunes will not recognize it, so I can't sync or anything. I read somewhere that it could be a fuse somewhere?? Or maybe the dock connector. Where is the best place to get this repaired?

Random Shutdowns Started Again After Fix - Some Questions for Others

After a very prompt repair followed by 3 weeks of constant use with no problems, tonight I had another random shutdown. (Here we go again.) I never was able to find anyone at Apple who could tell me what they fixed (it was not a logic board replacement) but apparently it wasn't a permanent fix.
Some observations and questions:
When random shutdowns start, my "previous shutdown code" in the system log changes to -72, and continue to register as -72 even when I shutdown the computer myself. During the period when the system was working after the repair, shutdown codes were always 0s or 3s. Have others noticed the same pattern? In my experience, once that first negative code appears, it doesn't change back to normal, regardless of how the computer is turned off (except after the repair).
Also, tonight was the first time since my repair that I used the 3-prong power cord with the AC adapter (rather than just the two prong). Could there be any connection (perhaps a faulty cord sendinga surge to the system and damaging something)? During the last round, shutdowns occurred whether on AC power or battery, but I'm wondering if the use of that cord may have triggered the problem in the first place. Has anyone that has had random shutdowns never used the 3-prong cord at all?
The other thing I've noticed is that importing digital camera photos into iPhoto often seems to trigger shutdowns (not all of them, but some of them). My random shutdown tonight happened after editing photos I'd just imported from my camera (and right after I ejected and unplugged the camera). Could the connection to the camera somehow cause a problem? Has anyone who has had random shutdowns NOT connected a digital camera or used iPhoto?
Just grasping at straws here to try to figure out what causes this problem (since apparently Apple hasn't figured it out yet). Looks like I'm going to have to take it back again. I love my MacBook better than any PC I've ever had, but I never had these kind of hardware problems with my PCs (and if I did have a problem it was usually pretty simple to troubleshoot and repair).

I think you're confused, it's not as simple as that.
Here's why - I just ran two yes terminal sessions on my wife's MacBook and let it run for 15 minutes. Fan came on, system is running warm but running just fine.
On my RSD MacBook, while I was at the Apple Store, trying to demonstrate the RSD it ran two yes terminals for like 5 minutes and kept running however when I closed Terminal - wham RSD.
It IS NOT heat related. Most likely the system "thinks" there's a heat problem by a bad sensor, wire whatever.
If I can't run my MacBook at 100% (actually 200%, both cores) for as long as I need then it is defective and should be returned to Apple.
When my MacBook was working I ran EVN (Escape Velocity NOVA) which runs under Rosetta, man that thing sucked the battery dry in less than 60 minutes and the system got pretty warm too. BUT IT KEPT running and didn't shut down. When my system was acting up I couldn't even browse the Apple web site and ut would shutdown.

I'm managing over 200 Macs, and I need the Package Installs for Flash and Acrobat, and I need them everytime you decide to release an update.
Our Department has licenses for 50 copies CS 6 Design & Web Premium, but the Adobe Manager doesn't manage Flash or Acrobat updates.

I have installed Adobe flash 11.0 repeatedly and it will work for other browsers, but Moxilla will not recognize it. How do I make it detect it?

I have Windows 7 running on a new Dell Inspiron.
Whenever I use Mozilla Firefox browser - it says I do not have Adobe Flash 11.0 installed. I know I do because if I open Explorer all sites needing Adobe Flash work.

there is no proper way to insert two Cell Editors in a column(except variants), have a look on below scenario, it may help.
add one more attribute to your table context node for read-only.
create dropDown as celleditor for table and bind with newly created attribute to read-only property of dropdown.
before binding data to table, check the condition then mention readonly value abap_true / false.
@ we can achieve by the use of Variants.
for ex :

Data 12 ( Editable with Drop down)
data 13
read-only - abap_false
Data 21
Data 22 ( Non editable, dropdown )

Flash acceleration, doest it work for other flash content than video?

Hi guys,
I'm having issues with Flash using lots of CPU on Citrix servers. I've got 8 servers in one farm, almost all of then between dual-quad core intel CPUs. The problem is that various sites the users browse are flash based, not video related but with adverts of some other things and in the end the CPU is very busy with this.
Does the hardware acceleration of flash apply to other things than video player?
I need to resolve this issue as Flash is really hogging all the CPU so if a good ati/nvidia card can cope with the load, it would be fine, otherwise I thing flash will need to be removed from all citrix servers due to the poor coding.

Win 7 PC freeze and block network access for other PC on same switch during windows update from WSUS

Hello,
It's been a problem for me for a long time now, but the last time (today) I found 3 PC on 2 different switches that block all the network on this 2 switches during the update.
I have a Domain with 80 PC with Win 7 (32&64bit) that takes the updates from the WSUS server that is configured on a Win2k8 r2. The system works well from 2 years from now but sometimes cause this errors that make me look like a dummy in front of angry
employees. If one of the PC get freeze , it will cause lost of connection on all the PC on same switch, and i have to find the blocked PC, remove from network, restart switch and hope that they will came back on.
Does anyone experienced this problem? Any help will be appreciated

The interest fact is that on one PC, I changed everything and keep only the old HDD and on last updates yesterday it was one of the blocked one too. So this make
me doubt that is something wrong in software on that PC. I don't have any third-part programs except browsers and all have Genuine Win7
The only investigation remained is what happens during the update process?
Is WSUS involved in something?
And another thing is the fact that some of the PC are cloned, but I have carefully changed the SID

I can't connect to the itunes store and have some problems with other websites. Some websites load OK. I had the same problem on my iPad and changed the DNS, but don't want to do this on my iMac, anyway, surely I should have my router's DNS?

I can't connect to the iTunes store from my iMac and have problems loading a number of other websites, however some websites load perfectly well. I have had the iTunes store issue on my iPad and resolved it by changing the DNS but surely I should use the DNS for my router. I don't really want to change it for the iMac as I access secure sites with it to internet shop.
Any ideas, I was going to try loading Chrome but can't get it without going through the iTunes store. Anyway, that is treating the symprom not the cause.

Regarding the quality of the recording I assume you are doing this from a turntable? If so you will require something called a pre-amp to get the signal up to 'line level'. In simple terms the signal from the turntable is to low and needs the pre-amp to get it to a signal compatible for the line input.
You should also check the line input on the audigy card with a different source such as with a stereo, walkman etc or if you CD ROM has a headphone out run this to the line input and check the connection.

Now what I find in the net that if I have to import those files in flash then both directx and quicktime must be present in my system. Right now I don't have installed in my PC but I will do . But my question is that after publishing my animation in the net, does user/ web site visitors needs directx and quicktime installed in their pc to view the my animation correctly (with video embed) ?

I believe the only kind of video you can embed in flash is flv. If you import another format flash will convert to flv if it can.

Icons for some, not for others

I have some folders where the JPGs all show up in thumbnail/icon view as small versions of themselves. But in some folders, they only show up as the generic icons. If I drag a file that is showing up generic into a folder that's showing icons, it remains the generic icon. Anyone got a clue as to why this is happening and how to fix it? Thanks

Do they have correct name? I remember some images not showing previews, .JPGs, when I tried to open them from nautilus it warned me that they were actually .BMPs with a .JPG file extension and might pose a security risc... After changing the name, they worked.
