Flash and SEO - The real story please!

I read up on this as there are so many articles with yes and nos. Can someone here please let me know how I can make a Flash based website, that be seen by search engines?
All my Flash sites sit inside either a homepage container in xhtml.
Then I read that in order for SE's to see Flash you will need to put each Flash.swf from a site inside it's own xhtml page and link the xhtml pages rather then the swfs in 1 contaiiner xhtml.
What about having a Flash site done inside 1 main.swf with frame labels as the pages? Obviously putting the page up as an .swf file it is not html so I would think this would not be good.

also if this method in the link is still the best way to have SE's index flash can someone answer a question or two I have about the method.
1.Don't want to put my foot in my mouth when it comes to clients but if I have flash content inside an xhtml page and in the header of the xhtml page I put the title of the site and key searchwords (it is html) won't search engines find?
Since se's do not look for swf content why can't I just use the method I just mentioned.
I'm sure someone has the answer or should I head to the Dreamweaver forum with this?

Ned, you are the man! Let me ask you this as I'm in another forum and we agree that Google does see swf content, BUT a valid point was brought up.
According to an unamed source Google will only see the first text inside the swf and most of the time that first text is usually a preloader which explains why one of the sites I built comes up in Google and has" loaded 99%"
Now, if this is the case is there a way for me to use text in an swf that is not seen by humans? Of course I thought of making a text field the same color as the background of the swf but will Google see it and can I do that before a preloader?
Also does it have to be static text only?
Since you adjusted some things to get Google to NOT see the private site you did how can I get google to see if I want the site public?
There are some non Flash tricks to use as I have all my Flash content inside a css sheet that sits inside an xhtml page by getting creative with the metadata in the head Google should see the xhtml file anyway, no? I was in the middle of looking for a way to use a hidden H1 tag in the body of the xhtml document since I was told Google will look for h1 tags and display the content in SE's inbetween the tags as long the descriptions are kept under a certain amount of characters so they wont get cut off. But in my case if the text is not hidden it will ruin the alignment of the css and swf elements inside the page.
what do ya think is best?

The only reason I can see for that is it's formatted NTFS, which would likely be Read Only in 10.5.x, if you can reformat it MacOS extended, which would erase everything on it now, then that should work for your purposes.

Export to Flash and keep the file size small!

Clearly Keynote has a major bug when exporting to Flash. The files become very large, about 10x larger then the combined size of the JPEG's inserted. Earlier today I discovered how to get around this issue, albeit a far from perfect solution. Simply open each picture used in Photoshop and use the "save for web" menu. Save each image as GIF, 128 colors and rebuild the Keynote presentation. Although a color rich picture saved as GIF versus a reasonable compressed JPEG is x 3 or x 4 times larger the end result when exporting the Keynote to Flash is substantially smaller. Apparently Keynote exports to Flash without adding size when GIF's are used. Apple, please fix this "JPEG export" bug!

You can get the components in your internal table using the below code-

* Insert the component names in the start of the file

      IF lv_string IS INITIAL.
        lv_string = ls_components-name.

        CONCATENATE lv_string ls_components-name INTO lv_string
        SEPARATED BY cl_abap_char_utilities=>horizontal_tab.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
Here <fs_line> is a work area. Basically we are getting all the fields in the internal table and writing their names in the start of the file.

I am working with a web design company in the UK and was wondering if there are any indications of when Flash could be recognised by Google?
This is a major issue as the design features are fantastic but SEO is a nightmare.
I would love to introduce it within our ecommerce web design solutions, but only when the issue is resolved.

In SEO terms, content is king. Basically, if you have no HTML headings and text on your web pages, there's nothing much for search engines to grab onto. No content = no traffic.
Flash is invisible to SEs, translators, screen readers, iPhones/iPads, and many other web devices. To support the widest possible audience, you might want to re-think your need for Flash and switch to HTML. Almost anything you can do with Flash can be done reasonably well with jQuery (JavaScript) http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle/
Your other option is SWF Object Replacement along with HTML equivalents for SEs and devices that don't support Flash.

On Firefox, i wish to edit details in the 'Page Source' file (CSS) and save the changes. Please help...

It is View > Page Source and not Edit > Source, so you can't make changes to the source in Firefox.<br />
You will have to do that via an external editor.<br />
You can also override CS style rules with the Stylish extension.

Hi there, if there is text in the body of the email it will print automatically when sent to an ePrint email address. The only way to just have the attachment print is for there to be no text in the email body.

first i have to split base on ';' and not base on \\;
and get the following:

then i need to split base on + and not base on \\+

please advice how i should do that and which regular expression i need to use or not use but split base on above manner.

You were told there the requirements that you needed to follow to handle embedded delimiters and the rules you need to use to parse such strings. This is what you just said above:

That is NOT what you were told in your other thread. What I said there is still true whether you choose to believe it or not:

neither flash or reader x will install , it gets to 50 percent then gives a generic fail message ( flash encounterd problems andthen just stops)

Final Cut is a separate, higher end video editor. The pro version of iMovie.
Give iPhoto a look at for creating the slideshow. It's easy to assemble the photos in an album in iPhoto, put them in the order you want and then make a slideshow of them. You can select from various themes and transitions between slides and add music from your iTunes library.
When you have the slidshow as you want use the Export button at the bottom of the iPhoto window and export with Size = Medium or Large.
Save the resulting Quicktime movie file in your Movies folder.
Next, open iDVD, choose your theme and drag the QT movie file into the menu window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Then follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
The reason I suggest iPhoto is that I find it much easier to use than iMovie (except for the older iMovie 6 HD version). Personal preferences showing here.

So what's the REAL story with the new 3-8-07 drive

I've been reading some of the comments about the new drivers but it's getting hard to sift through all the complaining and find some hard facts. All I really need right now are drivers that support 5. sound in games with NO crackling or popping. Can the new drivers deli'ver this or not? Are they more stable than the last ones or not??I don't care about WHQL certification and only want basic functionality. It would be nice if we had ALL the functionality soon, but for now, I'd be happy to just have the ability to play games with basic 5. sound.

OK, I decided to take the risk and install the new 2.3.002 drivers. So far they seem to be working MUCH better than the old ones. I tested a bunch of games and they all worked?fine when configured for 5. channel sound. Best of all,?there was no crackling or popping in any games so far. Playing back videos seemed to work fine as well with no anomalies. EAX doesn't seem to work yet though and I still get nasty "hissing" noises when I try to use it in Doom3. EAX options don't seem to be available in other games, such as FEAR either. It's obvious that the drivers are far from complete, but at least basic functionality is there and the crackling is gone. Just for reference, I have the following hardware:ASUS A8N-SLI DeluxeAMD Athlon FX-604GB of RAMNvidia 8800 GTSVista x64X-Fi Fatalty?I hope other people are having the same good luck that?I am with the new drivers.

I have found a solution that works in other browsers, but not in IE. Well basicly it works, but after a few clicks IE freezes.
