Flash and Vista Home Premium Not working!

so i recently upgrade to windows vista. and after installing
flash(succesfully, no errors) I click on the icon and i get the
busy mouse icon.. then nothing.
I then check the TaskManager and there it is.. Flash.exe
running.. but the actual IDE (Interface) of Flash never shows up.
can someone please help me asap as I need to get this working
and dont really want to downgrade cause i purchased Vista..

HP Advisor, for m9040n HP Pavilion vista home premium not working after installing update.

I have a m9040n hp pavilion desktop with vista home premium. My hp advisor will not work. When I go to the menue to pull it up the icon has changed and is an icon of white pages. When I select the icon Hp Advisor it gives me a gray dialog box called the file type assistant. For searching for software to open the file. I've tried to install the sp 43112.exe update recommended for my hp pavilion m9040n with vista home premium but my hp advisor is still not working. Any ideas as to why my installing the update failed? Is there anything I should do beforeinstalling the update?

I understand you’re stating the HP advisor isn’t working correctly after an update.
Try doing a system restore back a day or two before the update occurred, if you haven’t attempt that already. Below are the instructions on how to do a restore if you’re unsure.

K210 Vista Home Premium not booting after latest Vista Update.

This is my pc specs:
Lenovo IdeaCentre K210 Intel Desktop PC - Intel Celeron Dual Core E1200 1.6GHz, 2GB DDR2, 320GB SATA II, DVDRW, Intel GMA3100, Webcam, Veriface, Flash Reader, Vista Home Premium SP1
After the latest windows update on February 12th, 2009. I woke up to my pc error beeping continously at the prompt before windows should boot up.
I have only had this lenovo pc for 5 months and it was working perfectly fine before this update. Onekey recovery is not working. I cannot get it to boot from a dvd or cd. I tried a recovery disc, did not work. I changed the pc to boot from the dvd and that did not work.
If I have it boot normally I get the continous error beeping.
The fact that I am writing this from my 6 year old HP computer makes me rethink my recent purchase of the Lenovo brand.

If you think a windows update caused the problem; are you able to say which update caused the problem?
You could also describe the beep error more precisely before it boots into windows. Or is windows not working at all in normal or safe mode?

You can't reset the iPod with the Home and Power buttons. All y can do is restore the iPod.
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs if necessary to allow the restore.:

Did you try another restore and this time not to restore from a backup and see if that makes a difference? This is what Apple would tell you to do next based on my iphone 5 fiasco.
Make sure all your data is available on your computer for manual syncing later.
Since you did the hard reset I assume that means your home button isn't broken only that it got frozen before. Were you able to get the Apple logo after the reset? Did it boot?
And you are using iTunes 10.7?
I'm just trying to help get you going.

BIOS Compatibility between WinXP Pro and Vista Home Premium

I want to install WinXP Pro on my pc. I have a Desktop 3000 J115, Model 7387-A11 and it came with Vista Home Premium. I want to make sure that the BIOS can support either OS. If it cannot, I would like to know how to get the correct BIOS. I realize that there may be a few BIOS settings that are different between the OS's.

I've Windows Vista Home Edition 32 bit.
In my laptop it is running but screen resolution changes to basic colour. Due to this, some graphical distortion occurs in few places. Also, refresh in the query grid needs to be perform when you are scrolling SQL Developer data from top to bottom or vice versa.

Mac Book Boot camp and Vista Home Premium - will it run ok?

I have the latest black Mac Book with 2GB of ram installed. Will this allow Boot Camp to run Vista Home Premium ok? Or should I go for Parallels instead?

I run the exact same system. The Vista performance test scores are as follows:
Processor 5.1
Memory 4.6
Graphics 3.3
Gaming Graphics 3.1
Primary Hard Disk 4.8
Obviously this is not a system for really high end gaming, but the average user will be very pleased with the performance. Do not forget that you can use a flash memory USB device with ReadyBoost to get a little bump in these numbers.
I could not be happier with how Vista Home Premium runs on my Macbook. It takes 3X the time to start up as Mac OS X.

Nano Second generation, windows vista home premium NOT RECOGNIZEING IPOD!

Ok this has been driving me CRAZY for the last week. I've tried EVERYTHING that apple has on their support site. I've tried anything that I thought would work from this support forum. NOTHING has worked. I recently built this computer. Installed all the drivers for the mother board. Everything is working fine. My mouse, printer, USB speakers. ALL work fine. Just my Ipod and my Cell phone are not being recognized by windows, and my ipod by itunes. I think my cell might be fixed by fixing the ipod problem, as it may be the similar problem.
Anyways, I saw a post about disconnecting your printer and reconnecting your ipod. I hear the printer disconnect ( in the device manager it shows the printer as a mass storage device), but the ipod still dont show.
When I connect my IPOD to my usb cable, it will show on the IPOD that its either trying to charge, or in the case at the moment, that its fully charged ( the battery with the plug in it). But STILL wont show anywhere in my computer. I may take one of my cdroms out of my new build and put it back in my old computer, TRY to see if my ipod works on that computer ( which it did before I built this new computer and had all these problems).
AGAIN, I've done EVERYTHING on the support site (main), this support site ( most of anything I could find for vista, let alone home premium), anything that I could think of which wasnt much else that was already covered. ANY help would be VERY appreciated. ALSO, is it just me or is there no where to email apple and have them give you some FREE tech support? Or do they want more $$ from consumers? Sorry, Im just venting and Im hungry thanks guys

Ok, Update. IPOD still not working. I also recently downloaded Ventrilo (off topic but may have some value here) and tried to run it. Needless to say it dont work. So I went to THEIR troubleshooting forum and found that my new MOBO with Nforce Network manager has a problem with allowing vent to run properly. Im not sure if ALL of you have a Nvidia mainboard with Nforce software on it. But, Mine does and what THEY (the vent forum) say is to delete that piece of the software and everything should work great (vent). My problem is, if I delete the network manager. My internet stops working. :/ Hopefully evga ( my main board) responds to me with a answer to WHY my internet stops working, and how to fix it without installing the network manager. But if anyone here has any tips to solve that problem, Id really appreciate it. since my ipod is basically useless now as it is.
O AND BY THE WAY! I downloaded iTunes 8, same problem. So Im thinking it may very well be that software/driver (network manager) thats causing my problem. Ill let you all know what they say. Also If anyone else who has this problem also uses nforce chipset / network driver, and is having this problem. Let us know. Maybe we can all email nvidia and tell them how they are great at some things but need to fire all their division of network manager creators. Because they obviously are not doing their job.

I have a 16GB iPhone 3G and my screen will not work. When I have my sim card inserted into the phone calls go through, but I take it out and they don't go through. It was fine one minute and then the screen flashed and now it will not work. any answers?

I pressed the sleep/wake button on the top of the iPhone to check the time, and as I did so, the screen flashed on and off and now the screen won't work. Whenever I put my simcard in there calls will go through but I am unable to hear them, but if I take it out calls don't go through. I've tried charging it for a while, connecting to my laptop, holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10seconds to restore it, but nothing works. First, update iTunes, then connect the phone to the computer and do a restore. This will also get your iOS up to date. Your phone should operate correctly after doing this, if not, you will most likely need to have the phone serviced or replaced.

Safari - Flash and Silverlight Plug-ins NOT working

There's no Auval or RA or Garritan Personal Orchestra in the Audio Units Manager in Logic Pro. Though Stylus RMX that I also use and Kontakt Player 2 are there and successfully validated. The RA and Kontakt Player component are exactly in the place you said they would be.
I've since discovered that RA does not in fact work in Logic Express. As for whether it's loading up in Rosetta or PPC version - how do I tell that?

Wrk54g and Vista Home Premium 64 bit

Hi, I recently bought a HP Pavillion dv7 laptop. I had extreme difficulty with the wireless card in it and my router. It would not allow me browse the internet even though it showed connected. I finallly was convinced that it was the wireless adapter so I returned the computer and they sent a new one.
Now I'm running into much the same thing so I'm not sure it is the computer. Almost every bootup I will get the two computers in the tray showing that it found my network....many times though it doesn't have the globe giving me internet access. I have to almost continuously unplug my router from the wall and let it aquire an IP and then reset my network adapter on the laptop before it will work. In the Network and Sharing center I will get identifying network and it won't until I do the above resets. Other times it will be unidentifed Network.
I have upgraded the firmware of the router to the latest update. I never had this many problems with my sony viao running xp. Is this an issue with Vista or do I need a different router?(going bad?) I'm only about 40-50 feet from the router in my living room and it is just frustrating it won't work like it should.

After a firmware upgrade, you must reset the router to factory defaults, then setup the router again from scratch. If you have not done this since your last firmware upgrade, please do this now and see if it corrects your problem. If you saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it...
To reset your router press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...
Once the router is configured adjust it's wireless settings...
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop).In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...
Leave username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
Click on the Wireless tab
-Wireless Network mode should be mixed...
-Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box in order to differentiate your network from your neighbours network...
- Set the Wireless channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on Save Settings...
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the Network Identifier...
For Wireless Security : -
Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the Wireless security mode to WEP, Encryption should be 64 bits.Leave the passphrase blank, don't type in anything...
Under WEP Key 1 type in any 10 numbers please(numbers only and no letters eg: your 10 digit phone number) and click on save settings...
Please make a note of WEP Key 1 as this is the Security Key for the Wireless Network...
Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now on your Laptop create a manual wireless profile to connect to your Wireless Network...
Click on Start then click Control Panel.
Click on Network and Sharing Centre.
Click on Manage Wireless Networks, then, remove all the Networks present in the list(right click and select remove network)...
Click on the Add button.
Click on Manually create a Network Profile.
Enter your Network Name(SSID), Security Type, Encryption Type, Security Key/Passphrase and check the box that says " Start this connection Automatically " , click Next...
It should say successfully added to your Network...
Close the window and it should connect...

Flash and Active X will not work

I have Cox Media as a internet provider. McAfee as a antivirus. I have removed and reloaded Flash Player five times and can not get it to run. When going to add and remove programs there is no data for size of file. I also have turned down my security to bare minium and turned off popup blocker still nothing. What else can I do?

Hi, You need to provide your Operating system info, XP/SP? Browser(s) Installed and version number(s). Is your System a 64bit or 32bit?
Also have you had any viruses? If so, were they removed and by which Anti-Virus program?
Do you have any other Anti-Virus/Spyware program other than McAfee? If so, which?
