Flash animation wont appear in my web site?

Hi,
I have created a flash animation to put ion my website that I'm building using dreamweaver. When I preview it the animation appears and works fine, but when I upload it and go to my site then the animation doesn't even appear on the page. My site is www.mywarhammersite.host22.com/weapons.html any help would be great.

No its not spam I'm doing a dramweaver course and its for my final project. Im using a free webhost thats why its got the host22 on the end. Goto http://www.mywarhammersite.host22.com/ Click on the weapons page and then click on the pics. The animation wont appear on the page, but it will if I preview it through dreamweaver.

Change how Safari appears to a web site?

Many web sites that I visit on my 2nd. gen Touch automatically load their mobile version. Sometimes I just don't want the mobile version. Is there any way to configure the Safari browser so that the Touch does not appear to sites as a mobile device?

My point is that browsers, including those on portable devices, provide identifying information to web sites, and that this information COULD be changed, by programmers, if desired.
Likewise, the websites that you want to view the full version of, against what the site owners want you to view, could easily be changed by the web site developers, if desired.
If web site developers decide to give you a different version of their web-site depending on the browser you are using, this is something you should take up with the owners of the web-site.
This is not an issue for Apple to solve.
(Incidentally, there are alternate browsers in the AppStore that do let you choose a different identity)
I don't see how my being able to choose whether I see the complete web page or the mobile version, where available, would bother anyone.
It could, because masquerading as a different browser reduces the effectiveness of browser stats. The popularity of different browsers, OSs and versions of browsers, frequently influences future design and functionality decisions made by site owners.

The html validator tool icon does not appear on my web site, bottom right.

It appeared at first. When I clicked on the incon it disappeared. All the Mozzilla settings appear to be correct for the tool.

Any luck after this?

Flash won't load on new web site

Can someone please help me? When I go to

will not load!

you can try to reinstall flash player update win 98 i dont
know if microsoft is still supporting 98 you can also try to
upgrade your browser i'm using linux ubuntu 7.04 with flash player
9 and i to am able to see the website it may also be a slow
internet connection the page starts off black then to red with

Flash embed in my web-site

I recently add two flash (.swf) file in to my web-site of selling ink for cartridges, But it seems they are not well embed in the posistion of the web-site front page. Why this happen, is there anyone could give me some suggestions?

I see the Important Notice in every browser I look at. There does not appear to be anything wrong with it. If you cannot indicate more specifically what you see is wrong with it, it looks fine to me.

Problem watching trailers in Apple Web Site only

hi,
suddenly i have an odd prolbem in watching trailers at Apple's web site.
when im loading a trailer, it just indicating that the trailer is loaded and nothing happens, and the QuickTime Player is not even starting.
i have the latest version of quicktime, flash and shockwave and in other web sites i succeeded playing trailers , its only reproducing in apple site for some reason.
when i double Clicked on the bottom of the IExplorer to see Error messages,
i saw some quicktime error however i don't know if this error is related to the problem. the Error Message is : AC.Quicktime is null or not an object.
by the way, i don't think that this is the cause but im using Iexlporer 6 and not 7.

Amir, I'm also having a similar problem with watching trailers on Apple's site. I've tried with many of them.
Clicking on the "Small" button under "Standard" plays the movie fine inside of the browser. Clicking "480p" under "HD" takes focus away from the browser after a few seconds (and I can see QuickTimePlayer.exe appearing in Task Manager), but then nothing happens. The process, after a bunch of initial activity, just sits at zero CPU, going up to 2% periodically, as if checking on something. The player window never appears.
Here's what is more strange: if I click on the same trailer link again, it somehow kicks QuickTimePlayer.exe in the butt and soon two players will appear, one for each time I clicked. I've even tried this with other trailers, and clicking on the second one is (so far) a sure way for the player to finally do something besides sit in memory.
I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2 and QuickTime 7.6. I've tried with both Internet Explorer 6 and 7, and there's no difference in the behavior of the QuickTimePlayer. Other .mov files on the hard drive (like the sample.mov in the Program Files\QuickTime directory) play instantly. The QuickTime plug-in for IE still works for .mov files on other sites and other media (.aiff, etc.)... just not for the movies on Apple's own site
I haven't seen any warnings/errors, JavaScript is on, and I'm accepting the Active X notification on Apple's site.
What is wrong, I wonder?

Exporting Comp to Flash Animation (and Keeping the File Size Small)

I have an animation I have made in AE which isn't terribly complicated.
Maybe 450 X 250, mostly blank background. The artwork was done in Illustrator. There are about a dozen layers, all AI artwork, and the animation is about two seconds.
When I export the animation as an SWF file, the file size is 1.2MB. What do I need to do to make the file size a lot smaller?
I am not used to making animations for Flash. My AE animations are usually meant for video applications, but someone decided they want this animation to go on their web site instead.

If it is a frame by frame animation try importing the MOV file into Flash rather than exporting from AE.
Not sure if this will work but it might. When you publish the file in Flash you will get a resulting SWF file that is created automatically. See if it is smaller.

Best way to take Flash graphics/animations on web sites to HTML5 to play on all devices?

I have a number of web sites that have different elements I created in Flash. Galleries, menus, animations, etc. I need to make them playable on smart phones...including iPhones, and iPads/tablets. I don't want to go the "publish it as an app" route. Such as PhoneGap. Are there other ways to do it? Or is this the work flow that everyone is going to?

This is a very abstract question. Flash CS6 and CC support CreateJS which can convert some types of simple projects to HTML5+JS for you. Download a trial and see how it works for you. Outside this the answer will be on a site to site basis. If the entire site is Flash, you should be rewriting the HTML5 yourself where you don't need Flash, such as basic images, text, backgrounds, etc. But again, the complexity of the project greatly determines how much work you'll need to do. There is no Staples Easy Button on this subject.

Quicktime working fine with my itunes but when i go to use with a sumatra pdf file on a web site nothing appears wont work. any ideas to what is wrong

Are you sure that the video is in a format QuickTime can handle? Can you post the URL to the web site containing the video so that we can try it out ourselves?

Embedding a Flash animation in a Flash Site

I'm looking for a solution to the following problem. I am
developing my website in Flash and I would like to show examples of
interactive flash animations I have developed. I imported my my
.swf animation to my flash site library, but when I drag and drop
it to the stage the following happens:
1. The animation plays from frame to frame without stopping.
2. Elements which were hidden (off the stage) in the
animation now show up on the stage.
3. When I open the animation in edit view (double click the
animation on the stage) the entire animation appears as individual
frames on one timeline.
I would like to maintain the interactivity of the animation
on the site (i.e. buttons, tool tips) and I suspect there is a way
to embed the animation in the flash site while in flash.
Any ideas?

You don't really want to add new files that way. In addition
to the problems that you list, you will also be making one, large,
file. This means that it will take longer to download, and possibly
play poorly.
You should keep these independent .swf files as they are, and
"import" them using either AS2's loadMovie() or AS3's URLRequest()
to bring each file into your movie.

Does user pc require directx or quicktime7 if I embed a mpg/ avi video in flash and publish as swf for a web site?

I am going to work on a site which requires embed video (mpg, mpeg, avi, mov) in a flash animation. Now what I find in the net that if I have to import those files in flash then both directx and quicktime must be present in my system. Right now I don't have installed in my PC but I will do . But my question is that after publishing my animation in the net, does user/ web site visitors needs directx and quicktime installed in their pc to view the my animation correctly (with video embed) ?

I believe the only kind of video you can embed in flash is flv. If you import another format flash will convert to flv if it can.

Animation inside movie clip symbols in "header" part of web site

Question: i have to make an animated header for the web site. several seconds it's going on and is stoped with action script command stop(); but i need one elenment inside flash-header continue animating like here: http://ves-lab.ru/ a rolling logo in upper left corner of header. Make that entity that continues to animate a separate movieClip with its own animation.

Customer request: better support for Flash-heavy web sites!? Feasible?

The company I work for (a SUN partner) is currently engaged in a desktop virtualisation project at a customer who is in the health care sector. Of course Sun VDI isn't the only thing they have been looking at. But so far we've always come out on top.
PanoLogic and their "Pano Cube" thin-clients were looked at but never really considered. The argument being "Nobody is using that!" and they don't want to play "Star Trek" and "boldly buy things nobody has bought before". So it was "Thank you and bye bye PanoLogic". However ... PanoLogic is on their radar now and they might still go back one day ...
Next up was VMware View. They didn't like what they saw. So for now they will keep their ESX and vSphere servers but VMware View is out of the game for now.
So right now there is still us with our Sun VDI / Sun SSGD offer and a competitor with their Citrix offerings. So far we've always managed to tip the balance in our favor.
This Wednesday though we had a few of customer's managers visit us. They wanted to see a Sun VDI 3.1 live demo. All was fine, all was well, and we had the impression that they were so close to giving the "go ahead", when one of the pro-Citrix guys opened two web sites in his VDI demo session:

Both sites are extremely extremely Flash-heavy.
And of course: The performance was sub-optimal. We were running this on a Sun Ray 2, 1600 x 1200 pixels. Even though the sound was tip top in both the Windows XP and in the Linux sessions (they admit that in all the other products they have tried so far the sound was choppy or there was even no sound at all .... ) the video was slightly out of sync. And the web site "2advanced.com" took too long to load.
So now all of a sudden the ability to play these two web sites "tip top" on a Sun Ray 2 is THE killer argument for them. It doesn't even matter that all other solutions they have looked at can't show those two web sites at all, now it's all of a sudden that Sun Rays and Sun VDI just "aren't good enough" at playing those two web sites.
Customer is king. Customer is always right.
So ... anyone here from Sun have any suggestions how we might improve performance of those two web sites inside the VDI sessions? Is there anything we could tweak and tune inside VDI 3.1 to get the max performance out of our setup?
Or are there any products in the pipeline like new Sun Ray clients with improved multimedia performance that I could tell them about so we could keep them interested in Sun's products ... ?

We don't have flash acceleration for LinuxI know. And yet the "adiacom.ch" web site performed better on Firefox & Ubuntu than on Win XP-SP3 & MSIE 8.

Are you using the MS-RDP severSun VDI 3.1 ... I get the VDI login mask, I login, I pick a Windows XP desktop from the available pools, and Windows XP appears. The desktops are provided via VMware vSphere.

and have the Flash acceleration bits installed?I remember installing various multimedia bits that can be found in the "Supplemental" sub-directory of the SRWC 2.2 ZIP file: "SunMMR" and "SunWinUSB". But now that I look at the web page you linked to I am a bit confused .... Did I install an old version? I will have to check that again and make sure this stuff is really really installed.

How to maintain a flash web site

Hello everybody,
I know about Java, Javascript, html but unfortunatly I don't
know anything about Flash.
A friend of mine is going to create a website for my jazz
group. (the one I have created can be improved!! just have a look

He will do it using flash.... Now, I will need to maintain
this web site (adding new links, modifing texts, adding photos,
videos, etc).
Obviously, I don't have a clue how to do it!.... I don't even
know where to start! Could you help me please?
I don't need a tutorial explaining how to create a flash
website from the beginning. I would like to know enough to be able
to maintain this page. Later on, I will learn how to create web
page but for the time being I don't need it.
Could you advise me, please, on how I could do it, the best

Since my last report one month ago above, I have found the "Report Broken Website" appears under the Help menu item, is clickable when a webpage is displayed, but just endlessly displays a "Sending Report to server" dialog. It has never worked for me since several weeks ago. The moving blue bar under "Sending Report" just keeps moving but nothing happens.

How to View Flash Web Sites?

How can I view flash web sites on my iPhone? Do I need to download adobe flash player onto my phone to view these sites?

After all, we're talking about a phone that uses battery draining special effects between every single darned screen, and most user actions (especially scrolling) ...
What makes you think the iPhone's hardware & OS weren't carefully optimized for these UI effects? I don't get it. People still seem to think this is just another Mac-like device running OS X, but smaller. It isn't. Apple certainly has the resources to embed an architecture in the device tailor made for its capabilities. After all, the G4 PPC processor was designed specifically for the Mac OS & that was a lot more costly to do than using an embedded ARM core, which is purpose-designed to make exactly this kind of thing possible.
Besides, Flash is notoriously processor intensive, having grown so much from its origins as a simple vector based animation tool into a virtual Frankenstein since Adobe acquired it.
