The problem you're experiencing is most likely due to the fps
setting of your flash movies. In Breeze the default playback is
30fps. What you'll need to do is adjust your fps setting in flash
to 30fps as well.

Did you migrate over the data from your old computer? If so, there's probably something you brought over that knows it's not on the same hardware as before. In that case you need to run this:

and then go around and manually remove all the bits and bobs, not just from applications but also from hard drive>library>application support>adobe and from your username>library>preferences. Spotlight will not help you. You have to go looking on your own.

Sounds like you have a damaged library7 To check launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and try to create a test library. If you can import a few photos. If that works then your original library is damaged so make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and try the three fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library.

Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I get an error message saying that the original file could not be located on about half the songs in my library. Not all but half.

I'm unable to play approx. half the songs in my library. I get an error message saying that the original file could not be located. I am asked if I want to locate the file, I click locate and get a screen with a list of confusing looking files and nothing seems to solve the problem. As is probably apparent by now I am not particularly computer literate. I don't understand why this problem occurs on only half my library.

This "original file cannot be found" thing happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

If you use iTunes' default settings then when you add a file to iTunes it places a copy of the file in the iTunes media folder and it leaves the original in place. The exception is when you drag it to the Automatically Add To iTunes folder.
It does not convert the file. You can delete the original if you wish.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Overriding a javascript delivered function but then calling the original

I have a tabular form (updateable report) and am on Apex 3.2.
On this particular form, I have the updateable report set to "partial page refresh = yes". When doing so, it appears to want to call a javascript function called $a_report to paginate from one set of rows to another. I have my pagination set to select-list with row ranges.
Before repagination continues, I would like to do some validation (specifically, see if the user selected any of the checkbox row selectors) and warn them via Javascript's "confirm" box that continuing will make them lose their selections.
I have no issue so far in determining if at least one checkbox is checked and no problem popping up the confirmation box. However, the real issue is that I want to pop up the confirm box and then continue only if the user says they want to continue.
Apex generates this report with the select-list and links to paginate by calling a function in Javascript called "$a_report". Since this is in the library, I cannot really get to it; it's a "black box" to me at runtime. So ideally what I'd like to do is create a local (on my page) javascript function of the same name (since I can't change what the select-list for pagination calls) accepting the same four parameters, do my checkbox validation and warning, and then effectively call the $a_report in the library to do the pagination if the user wants to continue.
As it is right now I got a copy of the code for the function and put it local on my page and then added in my own logic, but of course this means that if $a_report changes in future versions, my local copy might break and would have to be updated. Ideally, I would like to somehow create a locally-named function called $a_report, do my validation and ask for confirmation, and if the user chooses "OK" to continue, call the library one in sort of a "super" or "parent" way to do the pagination.
Is this possible with javascript to create some sort of OOP-like inheritance or some sort of sense of scope so that I can have a local copy and then call the one in the library?

Explanation :
When you create an object of type InheritedClass and you call the method doSomething( ) then the original method gets executed first and later the rest of the code written in the InheritedClass 's doSomething( ) method gets executed.I hope this works for you. If you do not want the original to be executed just remove the super.doSomething( ) call.

Select File Archive it then Open the original file

I have created an application that lets me select a file save it to another location then open it with the default application. My problem is that the file the application opens is the one that I just saved as a copy. The result is that when I close the application the new file is saved to the archive location not the original location. To further complicate this the application is Access which I have to run in Windows using Parallels. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You are correct Access constantly saves the file you are working on in fact it is one application that does not have a save to or save as option (for the entire file) it always saves the file back to where it was opened from. Not sure I understand what you mean when you say "manually save a file". Are you suggesting I should save to the archive location then save it back on top of itself ? Checked results and it shows that the variable being passed to the open command is not the one set with set variable. The set variable results shows the file and path that is set with the "ask for finder items" command. The file and folder name in the get variable results is the path from the copy command?

Can I install Linux and then use the original Windows 8 OEM product key for a virtual machine on the same computer?

I have ordered a new laptop and expect to receive it in 2-3 weeks. The laptop comes with an OEM version of Windows 8 installed. I wish
to install Linux as the host operating system and create a virtual machine running Windows 8. Can I legally use the product key from the OEM installation to activate a virtual machine that will only be used on the laptop that had the original OEM installation?
If so, what is the procedure to activate the copy installed on the virtual machine?

Technically, no. The OEM is licensed only for the physical hardware on the system. It isn't licensed for virtual hardware.
You may find you're unable to activate your OEM license in the VM. A lot of OEM Windows look for specific hardware to verify they're being installed on the correct hardware.

I logged in changed the primary E-Mail address to a different one, vertified it then tried to log in it said either to send an E-Mail to veritify again or to do my security questions, so I choose to do the security questions and put in my Birthday like it asked and it said that it was wrong and I had to authenticate it to get in, why is it so hard to just set up a Apple ID really though!

You can't have bunch of open windows on the iPad, you can only work on one window at a a time. Tap the home button to go back to the home screen or double tap the home button - no all of your recent apps will be at the bottom of the screen in the recents tray. Tap on the app that you want to go back to. You can also use Multitasking gestures - go to Settings>General>Multitasking Gestures>On. When you are in the setting You can read how it works.
You cannot open a bulk folder for junk mail to go to automatically. Junk mailboxes can only be set up in IMAP email accounts. If you had an IMAP account, you would already have a junk mailbox in the mail app since it would have probably synced to the iPad when you set the email account up on the device.
If you go to your email account in the Mail app and look at the window where your inbox, trash folder and sent folder are - if there is an Edit button at the top of the window - tap that and then tap Add Mailbox at the bottom.
If the Edit button is not there - you cannot create folders on the iPad. Your email account is not IMAP. Only IMAP email accounts can create folders on the iPad. Any folders that you would already have in an IMAP account would sync to the device as well.

I'm organising my Aperture library today and I'm going to go through my photos folder, import the images to Aperture and then delete the original folders. Just curious if deleting the source folders is a big no-no or not.

Alright. For my case was, my source files are inside the Document folders. Since importing the pictures into Aperture, deleting the source files/folders did not cause any problems with Aperture.
Whether it is a good idea or would depend on how comforatble you are with the idea in the first place. On one hand you can save up precious hard disk space, while on the other if the Aperture library gets corrupted, you might lose everything. Of course, having a backup of the Aperture library helps, as well as a time machine backup of it. On top of that you can also have an Aperture Vault to backup the library to a external drive.
In summary i think a reasonlable backup plan is just as important regardless of whether or not the source file is in which location. For my case, i only have the Aperture library as all of my source. A time machine backs up everything including my library, in addition to that, i also use Aperture Vault to back up to another external drive just in case.

I dropped my external hard drive which contained my iTunes library and it is no longer readable. I attempted to upload my library from iPod and while all the songs appear to be in iTunes I get a message telling me that the original file can't be located.

A Couple of questions..
Is the location shown under preferences/Advanced/General still showing the correct location?
Is the check boxes under this checked or unchecked?

When forwarding a message, the "Preformat" (default) option gets rid of word wrapping in the original message.

When we receive email messages composed on iPhones or iPads, they read fine and are wordwrapped. When they are forwarded, the wordwrapping disappears in the "Forward" composition window and does not reappear at the recipient's computer. It seems to have something to do with the "Preformat" option for Paragraph Format. The other options will wordwrap, but also throw away any explicit carriage returns/ line feeds.
I don't know what is special about iOS text.
I've tried setting all "wrap" options in the config editor to True with no effect.

Thanks for the info. It partially helps.
When I receive a forwarded email originally from IOS, and just open it to read, there is no option on the edit menu for wrapping. Pressing Ctrl+R initiates a Reply (with old text still unwrapped).
An option while reading is to View -> Message Body As -> Plain Text (instead of HTML).
Finally, if I want to forward an IOS message, after I'm in the forwarding window I can press the Ctrl + R and it will wrap the text. 'Wrap' is also on the edit menu in this situation as you mentioned.

Brushes can be resized in the drop-down panel. Or reset from the little corner menu.
