Flash animations run slowly on Internet Explorer 9

Hi all,
I recently downloaded and installed the Internet Explorer 9 RC from Microsoft and updated my Flash player to version 10,2,152,26 .  I am having issues running Flash animations and other Flash objects within that browser. All of them, even the animation on http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about is sluggish and jerky on my computer. On the flash videos on YouTube, the entire page will not even render, and a black box will show up where the video is. I will be able to hear the audio from the video, but the video itself will not play. I cannot control anything on the page, and my CPU usage skyrockets to 100% and holds there. I have not been having this problem on any other pages, and I have IE9 set to software rendering as opposed to GPU rendering.
Computer Specs:
3 GHz single core AMD Athlon Processor
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 5200 FX (AGP 8x) with driver version 9.6.8.5 (latest)
Windowws 7 Ultimate
Flash Player 10,2,152,26
Internet Explorer 9 RC

  • Flash animation not viewing in Internet Explorer

I have built a website in iweb using Slideshowpro and Vertical Moon products, everything views as it has been built in Safari and Firefox, in Internet Explorer the text animations do not view at all, but the rest does OK. In opera all views OK with the exception of the text which I used transparent tag, it does not view transparent, but as a block
This is very frustrating has anyone else had this problem, and hw do you fix it
    Thank you

Well, I don't really think they do. It is the PC world and ultimately Internet Explorer that are well behind the times with this technology. Internet Explorer must be the worst browser around and has been for sometime - little wonder that Bill Gates used to throw in a free copy with every PC.
It is my belief that the PC industry need to update. In the meantime, what you can do is ensure that the PC users have javascript enabled on the PC's and also suggest that they go and download a copy of either Firefox for PC or a copy of Safari for PC. Add that on your site and let them know that it is best viewed with a copy of Firefox or Safari and have the clickable links on your site so that they can go there.
I don't think it is Apple's problem to address IE - Apple technology is ahead of this. This is for the PC industry to do and to catch up - perhaps they need to ensure they come up with something better than IE and Vista, which has been a bit of a disaster.

  • Adobe Flash Player not working in Internet Explorer 9

I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (version 11.7.700.169) and Adobe Flash Player stopped working in Internet Explorer 9. ActiveX filtering is disabled and the Adobe Flash Player add-on is enabled in IE 9. When I try to load the Web page for www.youtube.com, I get a blank screen. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox work fine - both can display the YouTube Web page. Is there a fix for this?

    What exactly means "not working"?

  • Flash Player 10.3 and Internet Explorer 9 update and workarounds

    Hello Flash Player community,
We are tracking the issues being reported on Flash Player 10.3.181.14 and Internet Explorer 9 and actively investigating them.  Users are reporting that Flash content is being displayed in the upper left corner of the screen.  We want to give those who are encountering these issues an update.
First, we apologize to everyone affected.  We know you count on Flash Player as an integral component of the web and we strive for high quality and performance in each release.  We are actively looking into the root cause of this issue.  Thanks to many of you submitting information via email and our online bug database, we now have some solid leads we are pursuing.
Flash Player 10 and later can use your system’s graphics hardware to accelerate video decoding, and can also accelerate video presentation on some sites. Starting with Flash Player 10.2, Flash Player will also take advantage of hardware accelerated graphics in Internet Explorer 9, utilizing hardware rendering surfaces to improve graphics performance.
With Flash Player 10.3.181.14, reports indicate that systems with Intel HD Graphics adapters running Internet Explorer 9 are the only systems impacted by this particular bug.  If you are encountering this issue and have a different configuration we'd love to hear from you.  Please review the instructions on this page for details on generating the information we'll need for further investigation.
    Solution #1
Adobe has officially released Flash Player 10.3.181.16 for Internet Explorer to address the graphical issues introduced in 10.3.181.14.  You can get this release by visiting our official download page, directly downloading and running the installer file, or using the Flash Player auto update mechanism.
After installing, we recommend you re-enable hardware acceleration if you had it previously disabled.  We also recommend you clear your browser cache and restart your system.
If you continue to encounter issues, please create a new thread and we'll do our best to investigate further.
    Solution #2
On some systems, you may be able to resolve this issue by updating the Intel HD Graphics drivers. It has been reported that driver versions 8.15.10.2361 and above do not exhibit this bug. Unfortunately, some systems might require updates directly from your system manufacturer. We’re working with system manufacturers to make sure they include the latest drivers in future releases.
    Solution #3
You can disable hardware acceleration in Internet Explorer 9 using the instructions on this page. Please note that you should re-enable hardware acceleration once this problem has been resolved to enjoy the full benefits of hardware acceleration.
    Thank you,
    The Flash Player team

THIS WILL BE A TEMPORARY FIX FOR ANY ISSUES YOU MAY HAVE WITH THE CONSTANT FLOOD OF FLASHING ADS AND THE LIKE UNTIL A PATCH IS MADE AVAILABLE FOR THIS UPDATE.

  • Trying to install adobe flash player onto mac using internet explorer 5.2 for mac.

Trying to install adobe flash player onto mac using internet explorer 5.2 for mac.  But the page that I need keeps telling me that Adobe Flash Player still needs to be installed.  I've downloaded AFP several times, and I see it installed correctly on my mac, but the same error message keeps coming up.  All of the support that I see is either for mac or for Internet Explorer, but not for both and not for the version of Internet Explorer that I am using.  Please help.  Thank you.

Wow, IE for Mac is pretty old.  What Mac OS are you using?  I'm 99% sure you're going to need an older version of the Player, but I'll need to know the OS version to figure out which one.

  • Animation not loading in Internet Explorer

    Hi,
Hope someone can help me here, I have created a flash intro
for a site I have designed. This is my first experiance with Flash
and it was very painless, however I have a problem with it loading
    in Internet Explorer.
The animation can be seen here
    www.danieldean.biz and if you
load it in Firefox it works almost instantly, but IE just sits at a
    load screen and never runs.
I managed to find the fix for ActiveX problems but although
you no longer have to click to activate it, the animation still
won't load. Can anyone help? I'm at a loss to know what to
    try.

    SWiSHmax).
I'm still confused, I don't understand what I'm supposed to

    width="750" height="400">
    </embed>
    </object>
    <!-- -->
    <script
    type="text/javascript">endIeFix();</script>
But it still doesn't load in IE. Also, what is this about
director? SWiSHmax has never made any html for me, just an .swf
file, that's what I'm trying to embed in the page. Isn't there just
some simple code I can use to put "dean.swf" on the page and play
it? I feel like I'm running round in circles and not getting
    anywhere at the moment.
Would it be possible for someone to be kind enough to write
the short section of code I need to get my "dean.swf" file to load
properly? It's making my brain hurt now :-(

  • How to restore Adobe Flash Player for 32 bit Internet Explorer of Windows 8.1 64 bit?

Default Windows 8.1 64 bit install runs Internet Explorer 11 32 bit and all it's features, but slight disturbance for install of integrated applications runs user in such a trouble of loopback which he or she cannot escape, because problem application doesn't
runs for Windows or for it's programs, won't show it's Windows existence but wouldn't allow install of it's new software, I could only install complete new program for Windows program to run desired object.
I am using Rocket browser for Internet Explorer 11 32 bit because of problem of Adobe Flash Player uninstall or install.
But how many applications do I have to search, trial and if at all successful install for use because of problems of such applications of Windows?

As we have reviewed in other threads on the same topic. Internet Explorer for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 make use of separate management and content processes which on the desktop in a 64 bit environment are 64 bit and 32 bit respectively.
This is explained here on the IEInternals blog.
In most scenarios, the multiple processes are entirely transparent to the browsing experience. 32 bit addons continue to load and interact as expected with the content processes in which they are run and web scripts which detect browser architecture continue
to function, detecting a 32 bit browser.
In the Modern UI experience, the scenario is even more transparent as support for addons such as Flash and JavaScript are integrated into the 64 bit processes and updated through standard Windows Updates.

Answer for problem simply Got it !
Internet Explorer 11 needs websites 'Trusted', add all pages in need of running addons, and rest Windows operating system handles.
Now I am listening to songs on Windows Media Player (T3 skin) from a website which earlier messaged Adobe Flash Player not installed refusing playing songs, but now running programs without installing Adobe Flash Player.

  • Wallaby animation display issues in Internet Explorer

I've noticed another issue with my Wallaby animation in Internet Explorer. They seem to look and animate okay in Google Chrome and Apple Safari, but in Explorer, they don't. Try pulling the page below up in the different browsers. I'm running Internet Explorer version 9.

Per the release notes, Wallaby output is only compatible on Chrome and Safari since it requires webkit.

  • Problem installing Flash Player-says to close Internet Explorer, but it's already closed

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash Player, and have checked that it is installed and enabled, but still the application that requires Flash Player asks for it to be installed.  When I try to install it again, it says to close Internet Explorer and retry, which I do, but to no avail.  Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Empty?  Did you click on the Processes tab?
Try the following: download the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player- windows.html#main-pars_header and save it to disk.  Restart Windows, then before doing anything else, run the downloaded installer.

  • Flash Player Freezing and Crashing Internet explorer and Google Chrome

    Hello,
I have a dell xps 16 running on i7, windows 7 home premium 64 bit, 4gb ram, 500gb hdd. For at least a year i have been having problems viewing sites that use flash player such as youtube, and facebook. I orginally thought my anti virus was the problem because when ever I uninstalled it the flash began to work. I switched anti-virus programs about 3 times go from mcafee to kaspersky to avg 9.0 full...and it still would freeze up on me. Now it  has been 2 weeks since I uninstalled avg 9.0 and now it has started freezing up my internet explorer and chrome when ever i go to youtube or facebook. Also for some strange reasion it also is making some of my programs like pinnacle studios 14, itunes, and window media player unresponsive. Currently I have taken flash out of my computer. And i have to use my ipad to view youtube videos..but i still can not view flash. I have heard this has happended to many people on mulitple o.s. , Please help. I have tried reinstalling it and it says that instalation failed evertime. Ive also tried reinstalling my os with no success. I ve tried reseting my browsers and reinstalling them....no success.

Hi a, I wonder what happened since it was working on 7/21/10. Then after you Installed AVG9 you started having problems, even after disabling the AVG add ons, etc.
You have had this freezing issue for awhile and I don't know what is causing it, although cleaning up McAfee certainly helped and the Re-Install of Flash Player.
I think the first thing you should do is go to the Kaspersky website and find out if there is an Uninstaller to use and use it if there is. Then I would go to AVG 9 and do the same. Then Reboot after using each one. That way you will have had a Clean Uninstall of both of them.
Then go to Microsoft and Install Windows Defender. That way you would have some protection and that along with the Windows Firewall will help until we see what is causing this freezing and then you can Install AVG again.
Also these: Dellweb cam central, informational alerts, dell data safe online, oovoo, fastaccess.. I wonder if any or a combination are conflicting. Have you had these for sometime or were any added about the time you started having issues? I am not familiar with them, but if they are in your system tray, I would guess they use Flash? I would try to disable them all at once, try your websites, especially youtube. If you have no problem, enable only one of those and test youtube again. Then enable another one and so on and if any are conflicting, you will be able to find the one.
    Thanks

  • Firefox says I have v11 of Adobe Flash Player but Adobe (and Internet Explorer) say I have v16. How to fix this?

According to the the Firefox Add-ons Manager and the plug-in check page, I am running version 11.6.602.180 of Shockwave Flash, so I went to the Adobe website to download the current version (16.0.0.296). Adobe says I am already running the latest version; so does the Add-ons manager in Internet Explorer. What should I do?

Internet Explorer uses a different version of Flash that Firefox does. You need to install and update them both separately.
In your control panel, uninstall Flash 11. Then, install https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/download/?installer=FP_16_for_Firefox_-_NPAPI&standalone=1

  • Can't run Flash10 using  internet explorer 9.

I am running Windows 7 home premium 64 bit OS. My problems started when I updated to Flash 10. I am running Internet explorer 9 32 bit.  The flash 10 download states that Flash was installed successfully, but when I go to any site having flash content, I get the message "newer version of Flash needed".
I won't burden you with everything I tried, they are all in the flash threads.  Alas, I am now using Google Chrome because
    Flash 10 works with it.
If someone comes up with a solution that works in all instances, please send me a note.  Adobe, shame on you for not taking a more active role in resolving this SERIOUS problem.

    Hi vettech2,
Try logging into Windows as administrator, then uninstall Flash Player, then reboot, log in as administrator again, reinstall Flash Player. To see if IE sees it, open IE, then Tools, then Manage Add-ons, and make sure Shockwave Flash Object is enabled.
My install of Flash Player plays flash on some sites, but not others, but when I run IE as an administrator it plays flash on the sites that it doesn't when using my normal account.
Maybe my issue is due to the way that the sites play flash rather then the player itself.
Hope that this helps with your issue.

  • Tables running long in Internet Explorer

Hey guys, I'm new here, and still somewhat of a noob when it
comes to html and web design so be easy on me.
One of my new projects is creditcardrewardzone.com, which I
thought was looking pretty good until someone told me that it was
completely screwed up when they looked at it in Internet Explorer
    on their windows machine.
I myself work on a mac and check it with safari, firefox, and
IE, and everything looks fine, but for some reason in IE on
windows, the tables run really long to the point where the site
    isn't functional.
If you go to the site and click on cash cards, you can see
what I mean. Can anybody look at my code and see if there's
    something I'm doing wrong?
Thanks a lot, I look forward to staying at the forum and
probably asking a lot more questions!
    Josh

I am not seeing the information on this page:
    http://www.creditcardrewardzone.com/CashRewardCards.html
    in IE6.
Try using a full doc type - at the moment you are not using
    one - which is
placing IE6 into quirks mode... that may correct your
    problem.
I would also consider adding some left padding to your
    content area (beside
the left side bar on the right side of it) because the text
    sits right up
against the sidebar in all browsers I've checked.
