Flash appear in IE

I've made a SpryAsset menu in Dreamweaver. When I touch the
(menu) buttons in Firefox, everything is okey, but when I try it in
IE, a flash will appear everytime I touch another button.

You CAN'T download Flash Player ActiveX for Win 8 from here. There's a Windows Update KB patch that prevents it.

History: Few weeks ago system was severely corrupted even though had McAfee Viruscan and Webroot Spysweeper. Working w/ Dell Support they determined the system was too far corrupted to save (7000+ files corrupted!!). They suggested that it would be preferable to install W 7 to replace then current XP operating system. Had disk formatted and XP operating system re-installed but only sufficient to allow operation of email. When Windows 7 arrived fully installed along w/ new Word/Excel 2010 S/W. Retrieved backuped files successfully. Everything is operating OK except for FP. Every attempt to load (after repeated uninstalls) shows it to be "successful" but still won't allow videos to play.
Based on perusal of thread, opened register to check on "kill-bit", found no indication it was set.
What should I do next?

Yes it was terrible, but Dell (Solution Station, paid support) made this sickening experience bearable. Right now I have McAfee Total Protection 2011 for what it's worth (ya gotta have something) and I use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (free version) twice a day to scan. So I can understand this, you now have Win7 on the computer? The backup files are from the XP that had the 7000 corrupted files?? When you reformatted XP, weren't those files lost? I guess what I need to know is how did those files get Installed onto the Win7 OS?
Here's the sequence of events: I back up periodically with a WD My Book Essentials external drive, assuring that the system is as clean as I can get it and otherwise operating normally. I don't do it continuously for fear that I could be backing up corrupted files right up to the point the disk crashes The back up that was used was about six weeks old. The 7000+ corrupted files were cleaned before reformatting but would have been lost regardless when the disk was reformatted. After it was reformatted and before installation of W7, the Dell reinstallation disk for XP was used. No backup files were loaded on this temporary XP system. When the W7 system was installed these backup files from the external drive were cleaned with Malwarebyes which found about 20 corrupted files. Since then only two have regularly appeared , they are in the registry defined as: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\regfile\shell\open\command\def...
Also why wasn't the malware cleaned before reformatting?
As indicated above, it was cleaned but never used again since it was all lost with the reformatting. The reinstalled software came from a six week old backup which has worked well and shows none of the malware, except for the few Malwarebytes intially found.
One other thing, I revisited the "kill-bit" procedure. While I didn't find what you indicated, I did find these two entries with HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ :

Also, I was looking at your procedure in post #26, in response to jfirko where a vs 9 of FP is installed/uninstalled followed by the current version of FP. For my situation is this a worthwile approach?
By the way, thanks for your interest in solving these problems. So many programs now use the flash player but there are so few sources to turn to when problems occur.

Flash appearing in wrong part of browser window.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with IE 9. For the past week or so any webpage i visit with flash shows the flash animation n the upper left corner of the browser window and not in the proper place on the webpage. everything from videos to advertisements always appear in the wrong place. I have to click on the part of the webpage where its supposed to be to make it play and not on the animation thats on the wrong part of the page.
Here is a screen shot of whats im talking about. The chart is supposed to be centered on the page and down under the button thats says refresh charts.

The only webite with videos appearing properly is on YouTube. Ive been having to use Opera Browser to view anyt website with flash on it.

Flash appearing as a button

in the last month, suddenly, flash files in the explorer,
appears as buttons (one big button) until i press ones and then
everything works as usual.
it happends to all flash files, not only the ones that I
published.
any one knows anything about it?

I agree with Tony, the sarcasm and hostility's not very
useful. As an occasional but smart user of the forum I have to say
that when I was looking for answers to this problem the other day,
the first 4 or 5 strings I tried just didn't turn up anything.

One thing she doesn't mention: don't include the ".swf" in

Black flash appears after transistion

Sorry if this has been covered, but I can't find anything on the forum. I have a problem with slides that flash black for a split second after a transistion. I have removed the transition and played the section and there is no flash on the photo or the slide before it. I then add any transistion to that slide and right after the transition is replaced, there is a flash of black. Now I used to get this when there were a lot of editing artifacts left over (little tiny spaces between slides or a sliver of a former slide left tucked in) but these are new slides being plopped into a fresh timeline. Replacing the slide in that particular spot does not fix the problem, as the flash will appear with the new image as well. I have trashed the entire project and started over and made it to another place in the new timeline, only to have it appear again with a different pair of images with transition. Once it appears, there doesn't seem to be any way to get rid of it to use a transistion of any type. Any ideas what may be causing this problem? It also embeds itself if I save it to QT or DV, the blink of black appears when it is converted to other formats (such as Youtube).

That may be a clue, as when this happened before on another project, I had a clip created on MOV for titling at the beginning, then about 20-40 seconds into the slide show, the 4th or 5th slide would always have that black blip in it. Once I dumped that project and started over with all the same slides and transitions (plus the MOV of the opening title, I didn't have that black flash. Mystery eh?

URGENT please, flash appearing over menu

Reportedly, this is happening on a mac using firefox 3.0.6
don't know if it happens anywhere else, but I tested on 3
computers, 2 pc, 1 mac and it works, the reported problem is:
the flash is appearing on top of menu instead of under it,
but, and here's the weird part, sometime sit does appear under it
and then part of it on top...
Please help me the deadline is today :S

I think that fix works only on a few browsers. Not to say

White flash appears when using external images...

I have made this animation which uses 3 external jpgs

as you can see once it has gone round the 3 images there is a flash
of white. I noticed it is actually the very first frame. there is a
delay before loading the pics therefore it flashes (i think).
I have managed to do it with xml ok but i need the mask i
have created as don't want a standard blur transition.

haven't looked at your files but maybe check you timeline
where the "belmont" image is (At the beginning I believe). Could be
a keyframe holding one state different from the rest of the
timeline, or your not starting from the beginning of the
timeline.

SMS Flash appeared to iPhone 5

Hi, My wife had an (I quess it is) Flash SMS in her iPhone 5 this morning. Unfortunately I did not take a photo of it but it was something like "Gongratulations - you have won xxxxxxx$" Text was longer and it had an address and an e-mail with it.
The thing that worries me - is that there were only one button below the message "OK".
Pressing the home button - did not this message disappear nor did the closing and opening the display again. I pressed the OK and the message disappeared.
Is there a possibility that the phone was hijacked?
Phone is running with ios7 with 7.0.2 upgrade.

Thank you for you quick respond. As I said - there was only one button to be pressed - which I did. That was the OK button. I do not know if that was a link of some kind. Anyway the message disappeared.
I'm an ICT reseller myself and do know something about what can be done and what not.
I could have tried to boot the phone but I did not this time. That regret's me.
I did change the Appstore password as we have the same account just in case.
Would be interested to see/hear if someone else has received similar message.
I tried to google this but did not find any similar - not from the conversations or pictures.

Problems with flash appearing

I am trying my best to add a flash movie to my web page in
dreamweaver cs3. It will not show up on the web page. The flash
file was created for me and works fine on the cd it was created on.
Whe I upload all files to the server. AND try to run the same page
it shows up blank. When I try to insert the .flv file into the
webpage all the javacode goes into my page. I double check the
paths, then save the file. Still no flash movie shows up. I know
there is flash on the server b/c there is another site that has a
flash movie in it that works. HELP!

Check to make sure all the supporting files uploaded. In
particular, check
for the Scripts folder and containing file.

Flash appear in wrong size in Captivate

Hi all,
I create a 200x200 pixels animation in Flash and when i
imported it in Captivate, it increased the animation size to
550x400. Any idea why?, and how do i fix it?

Captivate does not resize your animations. Open the animation
dialog (double-click it on the timeline) and go to the tab labeled
"Size and Position" (or something like that). Change the size to
the 200x200 you want, and close the dialog. That should do it for
you.

Flash appears corrupt?

When I install Flash Professional CC, it repeatedly ends in a message stating that the download is corrupt, with code 42. When I launch the application, everything works fine until I want to export my file as a GIF animation. This results in a crash of the application. Quite annoying, no one accepts SWF files without Backup GIFs.

Adobe Flash appears to be installing with SCCM 2012 deployment, but ActiveX is missing

I have found that even though SCCM 2012 deployment has installed flash, I later find that Active X is missing and that it is missing a registry key ?

Flash appears locally but not online

Black flashes appear every 2 seconds after exporting from final cut pro

Please can somebody help me figure out what is wrong with it as it is happening with every video I try to make using the AVI filed my camcorder records in.

AVI is not a supported wrapper in FCP (and who knows what's the codec)
You probably should convert the material to an natively editable format before you bring it in to FCP. Mpeg Streamclip is a good app for this purpose. What format you convert to depends on the size and framerate of the original media.
