FLASH as DVD

Hello
I am really not sure where to begin. I am creating a
portfolio DVD for my employer. I am using flash to design the
interface.
I create buttons that link to videos within the flash file.
WHen I publish as a windows projectior and play the exe file the
video does not show up. ?
Any advice? Also...is a projector file the bast way to go?
also, my animations in the menu windows run pretty slow...?
Any advice woudl be great!
Thank you-
wade

EXE is basically the regular SWF wrapped with the flash
player so the
end user does not need to have player install in order to
watch the movie.
If you publish it as SWF in html and the user has no player,
might not
be able to view the portfolio.
EXE projector is a perfect way to go if it's going to be run
on computer.
Not to mention there are 3rd party tools that can make some
wonders to the
projector. Like custom shape, transparency and lotssssss
more.

  • Flash drives, DVD drives, DMG, ISOs, no longer work

Starting in the past week, a number of our users (40+) are no longer able to use flash drives, dvd, drives, dmgs, ISOs, etc.  They do not mount at all.  The system claims that there are no mountable file systems.
We have imaged a brand new computer and it reads everything just fine.  After we do a full software update, the aforementioned items no longer work.  This has been repeated and confirmed a couple times throughout the day.  This is on OS X Mountain Lion on MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac Minis.  We have imaged and tested it on all 3 systems with the same result, running a certain part of software update seems to be breaking file system mounting.
Has anyone else witnessed this today, any one in Apple care to chime in?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them (command-C) to the Clipboard. Paste (command-V) into a reply to this message.

  • USB flash on DVD Player

I have a panasonic DVD(DMR-Ez28) player with USB Divx support. I tried a USB flash with divx files, which had been used on my Mac, and the player recognized it but said "no files". So I formatted the USB flash to FAT32 on my Mac and same issue. So I reformatted it on a PC, copied files to it on the PC, works great, see all the files and watched the divx , no issues. I then took the working flash, and mounted it on my mac, then copied over one file, the DVD player now does not see any files. Any thoughts?

  • Know any Good Flash Training DVD's For Sale?

Hi, I am looking to purchase some good flash training videos
for building sites and animation. I was wondering if anyone could
    recommend any.
    Thanks

It may be more practical to get a membership to lynda.com or
totaltraining.com. We have found software updates are frequent and
the membership allows us to keep up with new versions. Our old
"videos" sit on shelves and the cost of a few DVD's was alot more
than one year membership to one of these services.

  • Flash to DVD.... how and what format

Im trying to get my flash file converted over to a looping
video clip, on DVD that will play on a wide screen TV. Hope some
experts here can help with a few pointers.
    1. I made it 1020x720.... should it actually be.... 1280x720?
    2. I've downloaded several demos of SWF to DVD conversion
softwares, yet none seem to provide the graphics quality once
    converted. What software is best?
    3. What format is best to convert to for the best graphics?
    .AVI, .MOV, .WMV, .MP3?
    3. What's Bitrate do when converting? I assume higher is
    better?
Hope someone here can at least provide me a few expert
pointers on how to best get my flash file to widescreen TV with the
best quality without spending hundreds on additional software. Oh,
and I am using Flash8 if that matters.
    Thanks for any help!!!

    Hello,
i have had also the problem to bring an Flashmovie to DVD in
    widescreen format.
Here is my solution, maybe ist fits your problem, even late:
    - Create Flashmovie with stagesize 1024x576
    - create new symbol and insert all frames into this
    - delete all frames and layer from the maintimeline
    - modify stagesize to 720x576
    - insert an instance of the newly created symbol in the main
timeline and add as much frames as you needed
    - scale the instance in horizontal direction to stagesize,
    its about 70.315%
    - export swf-file
    - convert swf-file to mpeg with an Aspect Ratio 16:9
    Widescreen
(i convert with Adshareit SFW2Video, so i need to insert
    frames as above said)
    - add mpeg-file with DVD-Authoring tool to an DVD
    so thats it.

  • Convert Flash to dvd format

    Hello.
Does any body know how to convert a flash movie into dvd-format?
Is there a program that can do it?
    Thank you

    Hi,
Once the .swf file's on the DVD, does it still have to be played on a computer?
Also, I've been trying to get my video clip to loop so there's no need to keep hitting play, as it's going to be used for display purposes... how's this done??
    Thanks a bunch!!

  • Is it Possible to Make a Flash Playable DVD for the iTouch

Is it possible to make the same kind of "virtual" DVD player file in Encore for an iTouch audience that works like the Flash output in Encore?
I am under the impression that the 3G iTouch can play flash files but if that is not correct then I guess my question is no applicable.  I just felt that some interactive linking would be possible since the iTouch is equipped with a WiFi connection to the internet.  Any thoughts or suggestions?
    Thanks!!

    John,
You know that Encore has a FLV output that produced a flash file that
behaves exactly as a DVD player with player controls.  This is why I felt
that this was possible, the flash file is certainly not a DVD formatted
    file.

  • What is the Best wat to put Flash onto DVD?

    Hello
I recently purchase Adobe Production CS3 (PC) and trying to
put Flash animation projects onto DVDs but the video quality is not
    up to par.
I was wondering if anybody has run into this problem, or has
any tips or advice on getting the video quality on DVD.
    rocket12works

Flash can export the whole animation as a quicktime mov, for
that just select the checkbox "Quicktime" on the Publish Settings
Dialog and don't forget to setup the settings needed. Also be aware
of the different Aspect Ratios. Flash uses 1:1par as when a dvd
depending on their Region code and format can vary a lot. Your
flash file needs to have the correct size in order to look right in
    any video editing software.
I personally prefer AVI videos rather then QT but if you're
on a mac then go with the QT format.
The quality of the flash video depends on your par and export
    settings.

  • Flash and DVD player freeze

After roughly a day of my MacBook Pro being on, flash video starts causing all browsers to freeze systematically (pinwheel until force quit). Non-video flash content plays normally. A reboot always solves the problem, and it always returns after another day or so.
It's been 2 weeks, and since then I've noticed that as flash videos start freezing up browsers, DVD player also freezes up when trying to play a DVD, and After Effects gets stuck on loading (Initializing Media Core). The reboot resets all those symptoms.
Seems to me that something is wrong with OS-wide video playback. I'm not absolutely positive that Flash is causing the problem, but I feel that it is.
    Ideas appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Yi

    Some additional info:
I have acquainted myself with the plethora of Flash problems mentioned elsewhere in Discussions and around the web, but none of the problem mentioned there seemed to be reset by a simple reboot, and then keep coming back. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash and my browsers, and I've tried repairing permissions and repairing the disk a few times.
    Thanks,
    Yi

  • Flash to DVD

I want to use Flash to make a DVD that I can project on to a

  • Exporting Flash for DVD use

We are working on a Flash file that will be used on the web and also on a DVD.  We have the flash file set up to 720 x 540.  We have not used the Title safe and Action safe template area, and we have type and titles close to the edge in our flash file.  How will we be able to export out the flash file to work on a DVD and still be visible on a TV since we have not used the title safe/action safe template?  Can we just output at a smaller size? Please let me know what our options are so we can figure out where to go from here.  We will be exporting the file out of Flash and bringing it into Final Cut Pro and then exporting it out through Compressor to burn with DVD Studio Pro.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

You can convert SWF to some movie format like AVI. You have tons of tools available for it.
I am currently working with Croatian television creating some animations.
    I use AdShareit:

You can choose anything you like.
    Hope it helps.

Thanks again.  Understand about the copyright issues.
In regards to my non-commerical DVDs (personal videos and the like for my son to watch on a portable dvd player), Handbrake enabled me to output to MP4 and MKV but not Xvid or DivX.
Are you aware of any converters that output to the formats I need to copy the files across to a usb drive (Xvid or DivX?)

  • Can I copy installESD.dmg to DVD or Flash and install on a different Mac?

I have downloaded Lion to my Macbook Pro.  We live in a rural area and are on a "low speed" high speed internet connection, so it took me ~24 hours to download.  I have not yet begun the installation process, and have copied the installesd.dmg from the install folder to  my desktop. We have 3 macs in our house, and I don't want to have to try to download again, as the process is so slow.  Can I just copy the installesd.dmg to a DVD or flash drive to install it on the other 2 macs?
If this is possible, do I have to do anything special? Can I install from the flash or DVD or do I need to copy onto the target mac first?  Although both other macs are backed up using time machine, I'm a little nervous about just launching an installation without really knowing what I'm doing.

No, you can't just copy the InstallESD.dmg file to a DVD or USB thumb drive IF you want to boot from those media and install Lion. You can follow the instructions here to burn a bootable DVD or restore a bootable USB thumb drive. You have already completed some of the steps. Just follow the steps to create a bootable DVD or USB thumb drive. The bootable media allows you to use Disk Utilities or the other Mac OS X Utilities if you need to prepare the volume you're installing on.

  • Making a DVD out of Flash file

Okay, I have my movie ready to go.  Now, I want to export it to a DVD to play on a computer and/or a DVD player connected to a TV.  How on earth do I do that?  I have a Flash book, have searched google for hours, and I still do not know how to make my Flash file DVD-compatible.  I have the iLife Suite, which includes iDVD and iMovie.  I don't know if I need those at all.
I know I could export the movie as a Quicktime file, but when I do that, the vector images that I've put animation to look grainy and there are random lines drawn in during the animation.  So I don't want to use Quicktime if I can avoid it.  I want to be able to make my Flash file DVD-friendly and keep the same quality.
Can someone PLEASE offer some assitance?  I've asked questions on here before and haven't always gotten an answer.  I think that's because I've asked some pretty complicated questions.  This one seems pretty simple, though.  I'm hoping someone can help me.  Thank you in advance!

AVI files can used many different CODECs to format the image information. Some 'flavors' of AVI files will work in iDVD with no problems - some won't.
I use VisualHub from http://www.techspansion.com/ to convert MY problem AVI files to DV files for use in iMovie and iDVD.
Your AVI files may be heavily compressed so be aware that DV files run about 13 GB per hour of content.
