Flash audio works everywhere except on Myspace, where it is extremely choppy

Flash has always worked fine for me on both Myspace and all
other applications, but for some reason for the last two days Flash
has been acting funny on Myspace. When using both the big music
player on band profiles and the mini player that they have on
personal profiles, it will play music for a second or less and then
buffer for a second or less and then play music for a second or
less and then buffer again. If I pause the player for a while and
then hit play it plays the music a little longer (but not much
longer) before going right back into the buffer/play/buffer really
quickly, but I know it's not my Internet connection. It's
definitely not my Internet connection because I've listened to
music on official band websites that use Flash and I've also
watched online television shows that use Flash, and they're all ran
perfectly without any problems. So it must have something to do
specifically with Myspace, but unfortunately I've tried all kinds
of things and none of them have worked. I uninstalled Flash and
reinstalled (making sure to close all my programs before
uninstalling). The only thing that I did in the last few days that
might have caused a problem was to install the desktop version of
the Internet radio from Slacker.com (similar to Last.fm). I don't
think that did anything though, but I uninstalled it anyway just in
case, and nothing changed.
Anyone know why my Flash would be having problems only with
Myspace and no other websites, and why I would all of a sudden have
this problem even though my Flash used to work fine with Myspace?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A quick check on the iTunes Store of a couple of your episodes doesn't show anything unusual - they aren't distorted and aren't at a particularly high level. I don't have an iPhone so I can't check it there, and can only suggest that you ask in the iPhone forum: someone may be willing to download and try an episode just to check whether it's a problem with your particular iPhone.

  • My audio works everywhere except in my browsers - a little help?

Last week, I noticed that I had suddenly lost audio in YouTube. The video plays fine, just no sound. I verified that the sound bar was up and not muted on YouTube, as well as in my mixer. In fact, I can see the audio modulating in my mixer. It seems as though it's only in my browsers that I have an issue, because my sound tests okay from the Control Panel and I'm able to have audio and video conversations in Skype. I also tried a Google Plus Hangout last night with a friend, and that worked, too. But YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook videos have no audio at all.
I've exhausted so many suggested checks and solutions that I can't even remember how many... easily dozens. The only thing I've found that is odd is that the Openh264 Codec from Cisco was saying "will be updated shortly" until just an hour or so ago (for the last couple of days). But now that it's updated (and still activated), nothing has changed.
I see that a LOT of people have been having this same problem for the last several years. The problems they report (for the few that were able to resolve the issue) differ, but the symptoms seem to be the same. They all seem to stem from some sort of flash configuration issue. I'm semi-literate with software configuration, at best, so I would sure appreciate any help anyone can offer.
    Operating system version - Win7 Ultimate, X64, SP1
Web browser and version - Firefox 37.0.1
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.htmlFlash Player version - 17.0.0.169

Right-click on the YouTube video.  Does it say About HTML5 or About Flash Player?
If it says About Flash Player, then go to the mixer, open the detailed view to see all the sliders, and make sure that the volume for the Flash Player slider is not muted.

  • Just purchased an IPhone 4 it works everywhere except for in my house. Have had a new sim card put in and restored it and it still works everywhere but in my house....any suggestions?

Just purchased an iPhone 4 and it works everywhere except in my house, anyone else with that problem?

The construction materials used could be that of something that dampens the wireless signal.

Well... putting your file in my Arch web server gives me a but of errors (as expected)  but the files is definitely read and processed.

Try using /var/logs/httpd/error_log and /var/log/everything.log to find what's wrong with the file in your system.

  • I recently purchased an iphone 4. I had a 3gs before and had no problem connnecting to wi fi . Everyone thing in my house that can use wi fi works except my phone i go some where else and it works everywhere except my house.  WHAT TO DO

i RECENTLY GOT THE IPHONE FOUR EVERYONE IN MY HOMEM THAT CAN USE WI FI IT WORKS ACCEPT ON MY PHONE.I GO SOME WHERE ELSE AND IT WORKS THE ONLY PLACD THE WI FI ON MY PHONE DOESNT WORK IS AT MY HOUSE HOW DO I CONNECT TO WI FI ??????????

Tracy, first you should restart the iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo.  This process could solve some of your problems.  Also make sure you have the latest update, go into  our settings>general>software update.  On the wifi issue try restarting your router, if you are still having problems try resetting your network settings, go into your settings>general>reset then tap reset network settings.
The battery issues seems normal, the battery will not last 24 hours.

  • Airport Express Works Everywhere Except One Place

I have several rooms in my house with their own stereos, and my new Airport Express works on all of them. However, I have one stereo outside, in the garage and the Airport Express does not work out there. I assume that the wireless signal doesn't reach there. Is there a way to boost the wireless signal? The garage stereo is probably about 50 feet from the wireless modem, which is in the basement of my house. This is probably a dumb question, but I don't know anything!

Soonerfunk, Welcome to the discussion area!
If the wireless signal were created by an AirPort Express (AX), an AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS), or a Time Capsule it would be possible. However it is not possible when the wireless network is created by a wireless modem.

  • Flash audio not working in Firefox 31.0

Flash audio works in Chromium. Have tried the following with no success:
    - Resetting Firefox
    - Reinstalling Flash plugin
Thanks for taking your time to help me out.
    EDIT:
I noticed in about:plugins a listing for "FutureSplash Player". Perhaps that has something to do with the problem?

On Linux Adobe has stopped supporting Flash for Firefox.
There are only security updates of Flash 11.2 available.
If web pages require a more recent Flash version then they won't work with Firefox and you would have to use Google Chrome.
Does this happen with all pages that use the Flash plugin?
Did you check if the player has a volume slider?
You can check for issues with cookies and "Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Edit > Preferences > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
You can try to clear the Flash local storage and settings.
    Abode Flash Player Preferences: Storage

  • Macbook Air works well everywhere except home, where other devices work fine.

    Hello.
I've searched a bit on these boards, but nobody seems to be having the same problem. My Macbook Air has worked fine since I got it in Sept, and the wireless picked up a fast connection at home, school, cafes, etc. Just recently it started being very slow only at home, sometimes to the point of not working at all, even though all the bars would be full, and doing a diagnositic said all was fine. I tried creating a new location name, renewing the DHCP Lease, and manually configuing MTU to make it '1453.' None of this has worked. The weird thing is, is that my housemates (who both have macs) are still getting a great connection.
To make it even more confusing, sometimes it still works fine at home, and this doesn't entirely correlate as to when other people are on the network.
So again, my macbook gets a great connection everywhere but my house, where other devices are fine. What could cause this? Thanks!
(Also, please note I am pretty stupid when it comes to computers)

    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router.
    - Reset networks settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
Does the iPod see the network? Error message? Does the iPod connect to other networks?

  • Flash audio does not work on HDMI

Hi, I'm trying to make HDMI audio work. So far I've been able to make almost everything work, but Flash is still giving me headaches. I cannot make it play on HDMI, when I open a video on youtube sound comes out from my laptop's speakers. I googled around but I didn't find any useful hint on how to configure Flash audio on HDMI. My system is a Vaio VGN-SR21M laptop with HD3470 and Catalyst 11.8.
Can anyone please help me? Thanks.

OK, as usual I found the answer right after opening this thread...
    According to post #6 here:
    http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions … rd-809773/
Flash outputs only on default alsa device, so if I want HDMI output I have to set my HDMI card as default by putting this in ~/.asoundrc:
    pcm.!default {
    type hw
    card 1
    device 3
    ctl.!default {
    type hw
    card 1
    device 3
(where card 1 device 3  stands for my HDMI audio card as given by aplay -l) and restart alsa by typing sudo /etc/rc.d/alsa force-restart.
The annoying thing is that now Flash sound will work ONLY on HDMI, so when I disconnect my TV I have to delete or modify .asoundrc, restart alsa and so on... Really there's not a smarter way to tell Flash where to send sound?

  • My MacBook works fine wifi everywhere except for home.  The home wifi is fine with the iPad and iPhone.  How can I fix my MacBook?

My MacBook works fine wifi everywhere except for home.  The home wifi is fine with the iPad and iPhone, so I assume the issue is with my computer.  My computer works fine on wifi networks elsewhere.  The only problem is at home.
The computer "connects to the wifi," but browsers and other internet-dependent software do not work.  Curiously, if I connect the ethernet cord that doesn't work either. Usually if I reset the modem to factory settings twice (for some reason, once doesn't do the trick), my computer will fully connect to the wifi.  However, in a few days, it goes back to not working.
Today, resetting the modem didn't work. I could only get wifi connection while in safe mode, but not in normal mode.  So, the issue seems to be software not hardware. I have tried starting new accounts in normal mode, but those also don't connect properly to internet.
Not sure if this is relevant, but this problem started when my building switched internet providers from ComHem to Telia (I live in Sweden).
What do you recommend I do?
    Thanks!
PS I use Snow Leopard: OS 10.6.8

Not unless the modem is causing a problem.
What you want to do is get it to work reliably over Ethernet first, then tackle wifi. Power off the modem. On your macbook, delete the Ethernet configuration and the Wifi configuration. Power up the modem, then connect the mac via Ethernet. Create the new Ethernet configuration and see if you can connect.

  • Why does flash no longer work in viewing SnagFilms or Hulu under Safari Browser but still works for Netflix.  And, where can I receive directions on how to install the PPAPI Plug In for Flash Player for Maverick 10.9.4.

Until recently, I was able to watch both SnagFilms and Hulu within the Safari Browser successfully.  In both movie sites, I no longer get video and am asked to download Adobe Flash Player (which I already have 14.0.0.125) but my system indicates that Plug-In PPADI has not been installed?  Where to go to find this correct download?  When consulting with SnagFilms and Hulu, it was recommended that I download and watch in the Chrome Browser, which is successful.  However, I don't like the idea that I must run a second browser to do stuff on my Mac.  I don't have any issues with watching films under Safari within Netflix.  I am so confused.  What about the security issues with respect to running google products--do I need to be concerned if this is the only method for accessing my movie sites.

The problem is that your Flash Player is not current. Check this to see what the current version is (vs what you have) and here to get the latest version. There is supposed to be a major security issue in the version you've got so Apple is blocking its use. In any case, don't get Flash Player from anywhere except Adobe.

  • All flash components work when published except one....

I have a website built in Dreamweaver CS4 that uses a flash header, photo gallery and video. Everything works great except for the video on the home page. From what I can tell it works fine in Firefex but not IE8 or IE8 in compatability mode. IE keeps saying I need a newer version of Flash (which of course is not true).
This is the page I am having problems with www.thefestivaloftrees.com/home.html the video is at the bottom of the page. I'm still a newbie at designing websites so my problem solving skills are limited. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Don't have an answer to your question but the link you provided in broken because file names are case sensitive on your server.
I suspect that you've typed the URL in to your post rather than paste it from the browser.
    Should be http://www.thefestivaloftrees.com/Home.html with a capital "H".

  • Flash player worked for months but now I have audio but no video / Windows 8 / Help

Flash player worked for months.  But today suddenly the video part stopped working.  So I have audio and a blank screen.  This is across all applications: youtube, live streaming, etc.

To help troubleshoot we'll need the following system information:
    Operating system
    Browser
    Flash Player version - http://adobe.ly/wNzNAu
    Web Page URL
    Steps to reproduce
When reporting issues with video or audio, it's also helpful to get your system hardware and driver details.  Instructions for finding this information can be found here:
    Windows - http://adobe.ly/KShBWi
    Mac - http://adobe.ly/16Odlzb
Finally, sometimes video and audio problems are caused at a lower level and not directly related to Flash Player.  I recommend trying both of the links below to see how they perform.  If the problem exists with both, then Flash Player is most likely not the culprit as the HTML5 video link does not use Flash Player when playing.  You can verify the use of HTML5 by right clicking the HTML5 video and looking for the words "About HTML5" at the bottom of the context menu.
    HTML5 video - http://bit.ly/ahzL63
    Non-HTML5 video - http://bit.ly/cqNb3w

when I restart my PC again the video can work just first video, then when I see another website video it all black...... (but sound still work)
    anyone can help me?

Try to disable the hardware acceleration in the Flash Player.
    See:
    * https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Cannot+view+full+screen+Flash+videos
    * http://www.youtube.com/swf_test.html (right-click the player: Settings)
    Flash "Display settings" window:
    * http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
