Flash AVI Export Problem
I am trying to export a short Flash animation that uses a
snowflake effect. The animation exports fine other than the snow
does not fall in the AVI. The snow actionscript and symbol are on
seperate layers, both in the first frame of the animation.
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance,
nope - this won't do it - in fact no actionscript based
animation of any kind will render to
fixed-frame rate video format as of flash 8. You will need a
3rd party app like SWF2Video by

Adobe Flash CS4 export problems
I have created a soundboard in Adobe Flash CS4 which looks perfect and functions perfectly using the "enable simple buttons" command. But if I use "test movie" the soundboard opens in a test window, but the text is messed up on some of the buttons. Also, the little hand that shows up when hovering a button only shows up in areas around the edge of the buttons. Its as if the rectangular box I saw around the text during editing isn't acting transparent after export. So that's my dilemma after export. Missing text and problem with activating sounds.
Thank You for navigating me, please delete my topic, some administrator, or moderator. I already set it in the proprietary part...

Quicktime 7.0.3 AVI export problem
I recently agreed to an automatic update of Quicktime, to 7.0.3.. After that my exports from FCP PAL to AVI was hit by major problems. Every other second or so a frame would freeze, and thereby making it unusable by my VideoToaster unit. After making the same exports at anothers editors laptop G4, and experiencing the same problem I had to downgrade to Quicktime 7.0.1. That solved the problem. Any other out there with the same problem ?r
Nothing wrong with QuickTime 7.0.3 (or you'd see more posts).
Open your Utilities folder and then the Audio MIDI Setup app.
Set the Audio Output /Format to 44100 Hz.
Quit and restart QT Player and see if all is well. -
After Effects Lossless AVI Export Problems
Hi,
I have a very strange problem that only occurs sometimes. It is kind of hard to explain, so bare with me.
I'll just explain my process first:
I import and edit all my video files in premiere pro CS5.5. Then I import my Premiere Pro Project into After Effects CS5.5 for Color Grading. While I scrub through my footage everything looks fine.
I then Add my Comp to the Render queue, and select Best Settings, and Lossless AVI with Audio Output.
After the footage renders, I watch it and every now and then a frame will be inserted from at least 7 frames up into the current time. This makes the footage look choppy/jumpy. Example: The character is walking and for one frame he will jump a couple inches forward, and the next frame he will be back again.
This might happen a couple times in a row or every other shot. I thought maybe my computer was just playing it slow in Windows Media Player - but I imported the Lossless AVI file into Premiere Pro to play it in that, and it still has the same problem.
I don't know what the problem is. I would just like my AE Comp to output smoothly without adding those extra frames on my footage.
Here's an example image:
If any of you could please help me, that would be great! Thanks!

Okay, I just made a bunch of tests.
1) I converted an .MTS file to an .AVI with the Lagarith codec. Then I imported that into AE. When I RAM Previewed it, I did not get the jump from frame to frame thing.
2) I also imported the same video file, only an .MTS version and RAM Previewed that. Again, I did not have the problem I have been having.
3) I made a new Premiere Pro Sequence and imported the same .MTS file I had been using. Then I went to AE and imported that Premiere Pro project (trying to go through the steps that got me to the problem in the first place), and tried RAM previewing that. Again, I did not have the problem I had been getting.
So I obviously cannot re-create my issue. But the issue is still there in my other AE project. If I open up my AE Project that I had the problem with in the first place, I still get the jumpy frame issue when I preview it!
I even tried creating a new AE project (willing to re-color grade all my footage), hoping that the problem would not be there. But when I create the new AE project and import my Premiere Pro project, the issue is still there.
Is there something wrong with my Premiere pro project? When I play my premiere pro project without it going to AE it works fine, no issue. But when I import it into AE the issue is there!
It has to be the Premiere Pro Project or the sequences in that project. Since, like I said above in test number 3: " I made a new Premiere Pro Sequence. Then I went to AE and imported that Premiere Pro sequence, RAM previewed that. And I did not have the problem."
What is going on? Will re-editing my entire project in a whole new Premiere Pro project fix my issue? What if it doesn't, and this happens again? How do I fix this?
I really appreciate your help. I'm glad there is a place to go when I have a problem with Adobe Programs. I would never be able to figure this out by myself. Thanks! -
Flash Album Exporter in iFrame problem. Greybox not working as expected
Hello all,
I've searched and I can't find the solution or any info on the problem elsewhere.
I've used Flash Album Exporter for the grey box effect. This appears perfectly here
http://web.me.com/james.veitch/BoxReviews.index.html
However, it's aligned to the left hand side; I can't get it to centre and there's more text I want to put on. So I thought I'd put it in an iFrame. The moment I do that, things go wrong. Here
http://web.me.com/james.veitch/KeatsinHampstead/Home2.html
For some reason it won't load the images. What am I doing wrong? Also, is there any way to change the thumbnail images?
Thanks in advance,
James.James:
First, I can't get your first link to work. Removing the ".index.html" from the link does get the flash to load and play.
For some reason that particular flash presentation won't work in an iFrame/HTML snippet. Have you tried using a different FAE theme to see if you can get it to work in the iFrame. I've been able to get several to work in my demo sites: SimpleViewer and Flash Album Exporter and Flash Album Exporter Postcard and AutoViewer Slideshow Themes.

Animation within an AVI export - Flash MX
I have Flash MX. I have created a Flash movie of the old
PACMAN game. The Pacman's mouth opens and closes as it moves.
Plays perfect in Flash but once I export as an AVI movie the
Pacman appears as a yellow circle ONLY. It's mouth does NOT open
and close automatically as it does in the Flash movie.
Summary: Animation within a Flash MX movie doesn't export and
play in AVI format.
Anyone seen this before? Have I missed something?

Seen it way too many times.
Flash MX export to video does not support movie clips.
And if you happen to search the forum before posting, you
would find hundreds
of posts talking about this very issue and how to work out
flash to video exports.
Look for "Embedded Movie Clips"

Html link to specific photo in flash web export
I want to send someone links to specific images in my flash web export. I know I can direct them to the source image file, but I want them to see it in the flash export interface. Is there a way I can make a duplicate copy of the index.html and edit the start image and save as another name, or would I have to copy and alter the flash file?
You can't do a direct link to the image witht the built-in Flash movie. If you need to do this often, consider getting the SlideShowPro web engine and switching on "permalinks".
But to resolve your existing problem, it is fiddly. I assume you want the rest of the web gallery to work, so copy the index.html file, and then look for a folder called resources\mediaGroupData and make a copy of the file group.xml, so you have two xml files in that folder. What you would need to do is edit this "copy.xml" so it only lists your picture. Then back to your copy of index.html and replace any references to group.xml with copy.xml. I told you it was fiddly!

Is there a flash video Exporter for CS4 on a Mac and if so where can I download this?
Yhanks
JeffThanks for getting back so quickly,
Here is my problem. I have 2 Macs, a desktop and a laptop. The laptop
running Tiger (operating system) and Adobe CS3 which is fine for
conversion through Quicktime to .flv but on my desktop which is
running Leopard (OS) and Adobe CS4 I cannot do this type of conversion
without going into Adobe flash encoder which requires 1 more step.
I looked up Flash video exporter on the Adobe site (see link below)
and this component is only available for CS3. I want to know if it is
available for CS4 and for Mac.

Was tun?
Mit welcher Einstellung kann ich in Full HD und unkomprimiertem Audio exportieren?
Vielen DankHi ATR,
thank you for your advice.
I´m just testing your setup but it serves actually not completely my
purpose.
My aim is to export one AVI format with an as good as possible
resolution to serve as a master file to be subsequently
compressed with the Soerenson Squeeze Pro to various different
distribution formats.
I need to do it with the Soerenson Squeeze as I get the presets from my
distributors so that I can deliver different output
to the particular distributors.
The problem is that premiere elements does not offer individualized
pixel size within the AVI export option.
I have now purchased Premiere Pro (within CC), trying to open the
Element projects in Premiere Pro.
Unfortunately it does not work. Just the source files are imported but
not the actual movie project with the time line
so that I would have to start from scratch which is no option at all as
I´m done with a 1h:30min tutorial.
If you have advice on the AVI export of Elements or how to import the
full project with Premiere Pro you would make me happy.
Thanx
Friedemann

the results i get a odd. - the video exports fine, except for the beginning titles, instead a still frame image from somewhere else in the video occupies that intro, until the first transition- in this case- dip to white, then the rest of the video is fine. the portion of the beginning that does not show are composed of: livetype text credits in V2 - in which i have done a manual opacity fade up and down - so the livetype text fades in, over matte color solid in V1. in the exported video -i do not see any of this, all i see is a seemingly random still from somewhere else in the video. i can however hear the audio as it is supposed be.
cant figure out why this is happening. anybody know?
i think the livetype files are 1920 x 1080.
my FCP sequence is 720 p
this has only recently started happening and doesn't seem to be consistent.
im wondering if it has to do with the live type files, or the white solid?…
or the conversion settings above?Alistair
Earlybird is exporting H264 ... the Key Frames setting is determining the GOP length. This value should really be determined based on the complexity of the video, to my understanding, the actual frame rate has no bearing on it. If you have very complex fast moving content then a low Key Frame rate is advisable to ensure good image quality (although it will adversely affect the filesize) whereas if you have slow moving or static content (like an interview subject) then a higher Key Frame rate will still produce a good image but at a smaler filesize. The default of 24 should be pretty much fine as a catchall starting point.
Earlybird
Corrupted render files (and render references) can be a pain because FCP will use those files and references in place of the original media when building the export. And so it should as it does't want to waste time re-rendering sections that are apparently already rendered. Unfortuantely, as noted, if the render file has gone bad and/or starts referencing the wrong media then you'll get these wierd flashes of completely unexpeced and unwanted footage showing up where it shouldn't be. When you trash those files then QT / FCP will just go back and re-reference the original media ... so it's usually a worthwhile step to take just in case thats the problem. The worse case scenario is that it only that doesn't work and you spend some time unecessarily re-rendering.
As to why these files go bad? That I don't know. Why do Preferences get corrupted? That I don't know either but it definitely happens :-(

Hello everyone,
I have a 82 minute long piece that I had to export to avi (DV codec) and give to another company to finish off. The problem was that I exported the clip and discovered that of the 82 minutes, the file would only play 4:29 of the clip, even though the file is 17GB large. I tried again and the same thing happened. We finally exported a QT/DV and used Vegas to convert to avi but I still need to fix this problem. I tried taking 10 minutes worth of the video and it exported fine. I then tried a 40 minute clip and got it to run for 2:01 (8.42 GB). So I'm a little confused here and would welcome input and suggestions on my problem. Thanks!Just a follow up on my experience with this problem. I tried exporting a FCP movie (not a self contained movie) and I loaded that clip into another computer we have here also with FCP 5.0.4 and did an avi export from that computer. Well the results were the same. A large 17GB file that only has the first 4:28 of the 82 minute video playable. This is too strange

Hi
I'm fairly new to CS4 and have picked up an audio export problem, more than likely with a setting of sorts. For some reason when I export to MPEG2 -DVD via the Media Encoder, the video portion is fine as well as any audio that has been placed and edited on tracks audio 1 and 2 in PP. However, if there is additional audio placed on tracks 3 or 4 for example (say a music MP3 overlay) then this does not come out ... only audio placed on tracks 1 and 2 in PP come out. I have checked the obvious like making sure the tracks aren't muted etc but to no avail. Also tried changing from PCM audio to MPEG ... Stereo to 5.1 mixdown ... nothing doing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and regards
Videoman 1
SAThanks Harm ... got SnagIt and with a few helpful YouTube tutorials ... am in business. Hunt and John, also thanks ... the other method equally as good. Now, I have attempted to attach my screen shot which should display my CS4 timeline and associated audio monitor windows above. By the way, this was for a wedding and as indicated, you will notice an MP3 lying in audio track 3 which as mentioned is my problem as it is not audible after render via Media Encoder. But remember, the moment I slip this MP3 up into audio track 1 or 2 above ... problem solved. I know there must be something small like a setting gone wrong or incorrect. As mentioned, any help would greatly appreciated.
Thanks to you all.

Flash Player sound problems on a 5.1 system
I don't know if i found the right topic for asking for this question, but here it goes.
I noticed that flash player has this issue with my 5.1 system, when i play music (and i mean any music, like my online radio, played through flash, or music through the site VK.com), the sound is extremely awful. Words actually can't explain it, there is no bass, and the sound, overall, seems to be of very low quality. But it's not. When the same music is played via stereo system (any), it seems to be perfect - with bass and etc.
Now i'm really confused. It's either a problem of flash, or a problem of somewhat in my system. My guess is that flash simply does not support audio output rather than 2.0. I will be really grateful if anyone will at least point me in the direction of the source of this problem; it makes my life miserable. Thank you.Is it possible to have e version of flash player like silverlight which give thepossibility to hear audio on whole 5.1 system?
I have the following system computer:

Export Problem in LR 3.5
Hi folks,
I have been working with LR 2.7 for a while now and was happy with it.
PC - Win XP - LR3.5
Photo's stored on external hard disk (K:)
The RAW captures of a Nikon 3100 I recently won were not being recognized/imported by LR 2.7 and I installed the 3.5 version to see if it was any better. I would have to buy it anyway by the time I switch to Win7. In 3.5 the Raw files were imported, the settings of 2.7 were nicely taken over but now and I cannot export the files I have worked on to the K: drive of the external hard drive as I used to do with 2.7.
I get the message 'The folder could not be found' though it is set in the Export Window and I am looking at it in Win Explorer.
The original RAW captures are on the D: drive but that was always the case with 2.7 as well... I am doing it exactly as I used to with 2.7.
I tried with a photo from an older folder of my usual camera and everything works fine there.
The problem seems to be only with the Nikon files. Now I start wondering if there is something with raw format of this Nikon camera that is putting LR in a twist...
Anybody any ideas to help me out?
Thanks and grts
Nil@ web-weaver:
Of course they go to a different folder and they also get different
titels/names once processed in LR. The originals are always RAW (NEF) and I
export them as jpg or tiff files depending on what more I will do to them.
@ ssprengel:
I get the message when I have renamed the file in the export window, set
the folder it has to go to and hit export.
In the 2.7 version I got it already when I tried to import.
As I said, this only happens with the Nikon (NEF) RAW files. With the
Olympus (ORF) RAW files I have no problem at all and had no problem in LR
2.7 either.
I cannot see anything wrong in the Export panel nor in Preferences.
Plug in is Metadata Wrangler and has been updated to the latest version >
no joy...
I tried import/export with jpg files and no problem there.
Yesss! Got it! What I had overlooked was a question mark next to the folder
in Library (sooo small). A rightclick and telling LR where it was solved
the problem. Strange, though, as it has never done this before... the main
folder and the path are still the same as the ones that work perfectly with
Olympus exports... just a different subfolder named Nikon and another named
Test... Also strange that if I started off with jpg, it was no problem
either...
Anyway, thanks a lot for shaking my senses for me
