Flash Builder 4.7 downgrade to 4.6 version

Hey,
We have bought a license key for upgrade from Flash Builder 4.0 SE to Flash Builder 4.7 SE, but we need access to Designer View which is not available in FB 4.7.
Our distributor tell us, that it is possible by doing downgrade to Flash Builder 4.6. To do it we should contact with Adobe Support.
So our questions are:
1. How can we downgrade Flash Builder from 4.7 SE to 4.6?
2. Could we change our license key to 4.6 license key?
3. How can we download Flash Builder 4.6 binary files?
Best regards,
Juri

In order for you to downgrade you need to hava an AVL license, and yes it is possible, you just need to call support.
http://www.adobe.com/volume-licensing/policies.html
Check Backward licensing policy
"Adobe allows program members to order a current-version license but use a prior version. These members can contact Adobe Customer Service to request a serial number for the earlier version if they do not already have one. Prior-version software is available via ESD and can be purchased through standard resellers. The program member must follow all guidelines of the current-version EULA.
Note: This policy is applicable under the TLP and Forms Licensing Program (FLP) as well."
Hope it helps!

  • Flash Builder, Flex SDK 4.1 and OSMF versions

    Hi,
    I use Flash Builder (4.5) and have to use the 4.1 Flex SDK to make AIR apps for TV sets. The OSMF lib provided in the 4.1 SDK doesnt meet my needs, but the 4.5 version does. However, when I add another OSMF.swc version to my libraries, I get a Conflict error and cannot compile the app. If to prevent conflicts I remove the native OSMF.swf (Properties -> Flex Buid Path -> Remove) then Flash Builder signals an error (red cross aside the project in the project explorer), but won't say where it is. Of course it will not compile either.
    Any idea ?

    If I had to summarize my problem in ten words :
    With Flex 4.5 SDK and AIR 2.6 SDK I can stream dynamic http in the VideoPlayer element, but it won't play on a Samsung TV.
    With Flex 4.1 SDK and AIR 2.6 SDK I can launch the app on a Samsung TV, but the VideoPlayer element won't play any dynamic http stream.
    I assume this problem comes from OSMF because it is the library supposedly handling the dynamic streaming. I just can't make it work within Flex 4.1 :
    If I delete the native osmf.swc and remove it from the Flex Build Path properties, Flash Builder won't compile, claiming there is an error, even if I add other more recent osmf.swc.
    If I don't delete it and still add another one, either I get a conflict error or a "not found" error. either way it won't compile.

  • Flash Builder 4.6 Premium License downgrades to Standard License

    I've installed the Flash Builder 4.6. When I start it in demo mode, I get the premium version of Flash Builder (because that is the version I've installed). When I enter a license key that is for a premium version of Flash Builder it gets downgraded to the standard edition. The key is definitly for a premium version, I've checked that at the IT support, and one of my co-workers (we have multi-user license) uses the key for the premium version too.
    A side note: I have prevouisly installed Flash Builder 4.6 Premium but I had to uninstall it because it didn't work anymore. I have this license problem with the re-installation of Flash Builder.
    Do you have any ideas what is wrong?

    I am seeing a similar problem too...
    I was using Flash Builder 4.6 on a FB 4.5 Premium serial number.
    Upon upgrading to FB 4.7, which required me to enter the new FB 4.7 serial number I was sent, along with my old FB 4.5 serial number in order to qualify for the upgrade, FB 4.7 is now running in standard mode according to the splash screen.  Additional trying to use the Run -> Profile menu does not work, it tells me to go learn about buying premium upgrade.
    According to http://www.adobe.com/products/flash-builder/buying-guide.displayTab2.html FB 4.5 premium, or 4.6 premium, are supposed to upgrade to FB 4.7 premium at no charge.

    I finally found what probelem i have. Visual studio has corrupted one dll. Flahs is crashing due to my browser in 64bits which has problem. I found that it could be a probleme while installing a .net framework. But unfortunately i can't delete or uninstall this framework, i had no option to uninstall it. I guess the best way is to format my computer. But as i am waiting for a new worksatation dedicated to your tool and zbrush of course(for stage3d is a real improvment), i won't format it now it would take too much time to resintall everything and i would have to do this again when i will received my workstation
    If someone has problem like that there might be a solution(not the best but at least it works)
    To solve my problem as i have to make an app in flash builder. I downloaded the 32 bits version of flash builder 4.7. And i will resintall the 64 bits as soon as i received my workstation.

  • Flash Builder 4.6 horribly unresponsive

    I'm using Flash builder 4.6 (and have used prior versions of flash builder as well) with a flex/actionscript project on a Windows 7, 64 bit box.  Flash Builder itself (not the launched application) is horribly slow and unresponsive.  I do not have the auto build turned on or design mode on
    Here are some of the problems I regularly have:
    - Opening the window, if it has been minimized, and clicking anywhere on it causes the window to be greyed out and have the "(not responding)" message added to its title bar.  It starts working after 15 seconds.
    - Using the arrow keys to move up and down in a .as or .mxml file is jerky.  I.e., some keystrokes move at the rate I hit them, but others pause, wait a few seconds, and then move.  This also occurs with mouse actions.
    - Using code navigation like F3 or <CTRL>-<SHIFT>-G causes Flash Builder to pause while it thinks.  In the case of <CTRL>-<SHIFT>-G, it pauses so long that one thinks there are no references (because the search starts with 0 results).
    - Building code within flash builder takes minutes.  Even the modification of a single file takes forever.
    In general, I've found working with Flash Builder one of the worst development experiences (I've worked with Eclipse for the last 6 years, VIM, & Visual Studio too) I've had.
    These are the installed components:
      Adobe Data Modeling Core Components 4.5.304901.v20110217 com.adobe.model.feature.core.feature.group Adobe Systems Incorporated
      Eclipse IDE for Java Developers 1.4.0.20110615-0550 epp.package.java null
      org.eclipse.equinox.p2.operations NLS Support 3.7.0.v20110716043402 org.eclipse.equinox.p2.operations.nl1_3.7.0.v20110716043402 Adobe Systems Incorporated
      org.eclipse.wst.internet.cache NLS Support 3.7.0.v20110716043402 org.eclipse.wst.internet.cache.nl1_3.7.0.v20110716043402 Adobe Systems Incorporated
      RDS Core and Database Components 4.5.304901.v20110217 com.adobe.rds.feature.feature.group Adobe Systems Incorporated

    I have similar problems with some .as files. The compiler/formatter/assistant seems to hang, consuming 100% cpu (or 25% on my quad-core) and blocking the UI. Each keystroke / click takes 10-15 seconds. The cursor flashes very slowly. Sometimes the window goes white with "not responding" in the title bar.
    I have not yet been able to pinpoint the problem precisely or reproduce with a simple code sample, but it seems to happen when
    a)  your code contains inline (anonymous) functions and
    b) you have typed an opening bracket but no closing bracket yet -  ( ), { }, [ ].
    The situation continues until the brackets are balanced.
    Can either of you confirm that this is so in your case?

  • Flash builder 4.7 AIR 17 compile-abc-64 fail on x32 OS

    Ls,
    Since AIR 16 I cant compile to iOs on my x32 Os (windows vista ultimate)
    On my laptop its fine, uses x64 windows 7.
    Failure because of compile-bc-64.exe not working on x32 (makes sense sure)
    So: Is there a way to not have it use the -64.exe but only the normal compile-abc.exe?
    Flash builder: 4.7
    AIR sdk: latest two 16. & 17
    OS: windows Vista ultimate x32

  • Flash Builder 4.5 and lccs.swc compatibility

    Hi,
    I'm using Flash Builder 4.5 on Windows 7 trying to create a LCCS application, starting with the available LCCS examples.
    I installed the LCCS SDK.
    I updated to playerglobal.swc 10.3 and lccs.swc 10.3.
    Flash Builder is configured to use 10.3 version.
    Using Flex SDK 4.5.
    Problem:
    In design mode I see two problems:
    1) problem 1
    The XML version of design.xml and the expected XML version do not match.
    Some Design Mode features will not be available for components defined within the SWC
    Expected XML version : 2
    Actual XML version:  Unknown
    1) problem 2
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5\sdks\com.adobe.lccs\libs\lccs_10_3.swc- DesignAssetLoader.CompleteTimeout
    SWC file failed to load. Any component dependent on this SWC file will not be displayed in the Design Mode.
    The SWC may have failed to load because of:
    *  Incompatible definitions caused by usage of a different SDK version
    *  Missing referred class definitions
    Help is much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ofer

    Hi there,
    Thanks for reporting the issue.
    I'll be honest, and this might be a little controversial, but I think we're
    giving up on design mode support. The reason is that pretty much every
    version of Flash Builder expects a different design.xml format. This would
    mean, in order to support all versions, we'd have to export a new SWC for
    each version of Flash Builder in use.
    So, today, we ship Flex swcs for Player 9/10/10.1, a version for both Flex
    and Flash-only. If we wanted Design Mode support, we'd have to ship those 3
    for Flex 3/3.5/4.1/4.5/4.5.1 (just guessing here), meaning a potential 18
    SWCs. It's just too much to keep up with. Considering that you can still
    switch to code view and add what you need, the effort/reward level is just
    too low, considering the other priorities on our plates (like recording,
    10.3 AEC support, a mobile 4.5.1 SWC, etc). It's possible when we ship a
    full Spark 4.5.1 SWC, this will solve your issue for now, but we can't
    commit to supporting it.
      hope that's understandable

  • Flash Builder 4 Release version.

    Hi
    I want to know when the Flash builder 4 will be available as release version, as it is the beta version available right now.
    And what about if someone already have the flex builder 3 licence key(what will be the upgrade coast? if possible).
    thanks
    rlongia.

    @rlongia,
    http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Gumbo
    Flex 4 should be available in "early 2010". I don't know anything about update pricing, but if you do have a Flex Builder 3 serial number, you can request an Adobe Flash Builder 4 Beta Extension Request at https://freeriatools.adobe.com/flashbuilder4beta/.

  • Missing Menu Options in Flash Builder

    I encountered a mystery surrounding several missing menu options in  one of my Flash Builder workspaces recently. I wanted to create a new  skin for a List control so I right-clicked on my skins folder and looked  for the New MXML Skin option. And I looked. And I looked some more. But  it wasn't there.
    I happened to have another copy of Flash Builder open in another  workspace so I gave it a try in that project. Sure enough, the New MXML  Skin option was there along with a couple of other options that were  missing in the first workspace. Here's a list of the menu options  missing from the File --> New menu in this workspace:
    Flash Professional Project
    MXML Item Renderer
    MXML Skin
    I'm not sure why those menu options went missing but I was able to  work around it by recreating the workspace. I simply created a new  workspace, copied all of the projects into the new workspace folder and  then imported all of my projects into the new folder. I then had a full  set of menu items.
    I poked around a bit trying to figure out what went wrong but wasn't  able to find a conclusive answer. My best guess is that it has something  to do with the fact that I was previously running the Flex 4 beta and  that's when I created the workspace with the problem. I compared the  workspace .metadata folder and, curiously, there were 25 folders inside  the .plugins folder for the problem workspace but only 12 for the newly  created one.

    This is an eclipse thingy, menus get cached in the workspace' metadata. If you try using a newer build of Flash Builder with a workspace from the previous version, you may notice this behavior.
    The workaround is to create a new workspace and import all projects there.

  • Ajax Bridge with no "getRoot()" method when using flash builder 4.7 trail

    i am working on ajax bridge with flashbuilder 4.7 trial, the ide generated the ajax bridge html&js code for me, but when i browsing it in my safari 6.0, there is no effect.
    after a long time debuging, i added a try-catch in the js file auto-generated by flashbuilder:
    function ex3_07_solutionReady() {
              // Initialize the "root" object. This represents the actual
              // "ex3_07_solution.mxml" flex application.
              try {
                             b_ex3_07_solution_root = FABridge["b_ex3_07_solution"].root();
              } catch(e) {
                             alert(e);
    and i got this error message:
    TypeError: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating 'this.target.getRoot()')
    Does anyone have this problem?? I need all your help!

    Flash Builder 4.7 on OSX requires Java version 1.6. Mavericks comes with Java version 1.7, so you'll need to install the older version.
    You may also want to bump the specs in the "Adobe FlashBuilder 4.7.ini" file.

  • Conflicting or prerelease version of Adobe Flash Builder 4.6

    I am installing CS6 Master Collection. However, Flash Builder 4.6 can't be installed due to "A conflicting or prerelease version of Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 exists on this computer. The conflicting version must be removed before installing from the current media."
    First, I tried to uninstall, but Flash Builder was not listed. Then I deleted all flash builder related files, no help.
    Then I deleted all Flash Builder related registry entries, no success.
    Finally I downloaded and ran the cleaner tool (it does not have any Flash Builder related selection) and restarted, but nothing seems to help.

    I too have this problem. I have always installed a complete master collection without discarding the previous version as a 'fail-safe' incase some old files do not upgrade/translate properly. I currently have the full CS3, CS4, CS5 and CS5.5 on my computer. I have had to install CS6 but without Flash Builder 4.6 due to the error  "A conflicting or prerelease version of Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 exists on this computer. The conflicting version must be removed before installing from the current media.”
    I do not really want to have to uninstall past versions. I have never had to do this in the past?  I have also done a search and can't find anything that says Flash Builder 4.6 It seems that Flash Builder 4.5 is the most recent version on my computer that was installed with CS5.5. The only trial (or prerelease) software I have installed is Muse. This was installed months after installing Master Collection CS5.5.
    Going through the troubleshooting info at post 6. It seems like it Flash Builder 4.5 (ie the previous CS5.5 install) that is causing the conflict. See text as copied from the log "WARNING: DW020: {2FC6B122-6F1F-409C-8FF0-8F8369D7F30B} Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 4.6.1.0 conflicts with: {9D0088AD-BBB1-470B-B7B8-520EDEFAE5F3} Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 4.5.0.0 Please uninstall these products, restart your computer and then run this installer again."
    After uninstalling Flash Builder 4.5 (part of CS5.5 collection), I was then able to install Flash Builder 4.6. I then tried to reinstall the Flash Builder 4.5 using my CS5.5 installer but this came up as already installed; so it appears that you cannot have both Flash Builder 4.5 and Flash Builder 4.6 installed on the same computer. Is this what Adobe intended ? What is the reason for this?

  • Unable to disable Network Monitor in Flash Builder 4 Standard

    For some reason the Network Monitor is enabled for my Flash Builder project. Perhaps it was enabled when I was running the FB4 Beta 2 version. Now I need to disable the Network Monitor, but of course, since I'm using FB4 Standard the Network Monitor view says I need to purchase FB4 Premium.
    All my app traffic is redirecting to localhost:37813 so I know the network monitor is still enabled. Can anyone tell me how to disable Network Monitor in FB4 Standard?
    Thanks,
    David

    Thierry,
    I finally figured it out. In Flash Builder close your project. Then in the file system go and directly edit the .actionScriptProperties file. In the main <actionScriptProperties tag edit the includeNetmonSwc="true" flag to be includeNetmonSwc="false" instead. That will stop including the network monitor library in your code and should turn monitoring off.
    That setting is controlled by the network monitor tab, but that tab is only visible with the premium version of Flash Builder so it seems once your trial version times out you can never disable it via the GUI, just via the .actionScriptProperties file.
    Now reopen your project after saving the changes to .actionScriptProperties and you should be good to go.

  • HTTPService run only in Flash Builder

    Hi to all
    I have a web application where I use <s:HTTPService> to retrive record from a table
    Now in Flash builder work all perfectly if I generate the bin-release and I copy in a IIS7 server do not work
    I read to put in the root web directory of IIS the file crossdomain.xml in this way
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <cross-domain-policy>
      <allow-access-from domain="*" />
      <site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="all" />
      <allow-http-request-headers-from domain="*" headers="*" />
    </cross-domain-policy>
    In my case the server IIS7 is not the same server of the HTTPService call, can this cause the problem ?

  • Determining exact version of Flash Builder on Mac OS X

    What is the definitive means of determining the installed application version of Flash Builder on Mac OS X?
    I ask this because I see a version in the application info window (Finder) that doesn't match the version displayed in the Features pane of the Flash Builder Installation Details window (in the Flash Builder app).

    Hello,
    Apple is blocking older versions of Flash Player.  Please make sure you have the latest version installed to ensure you don't get the blocked plugin error.  You can download the latest version using the offline/standalone installer at the bottom of this page, Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac.

  • Flash Builder 4 and Eclipse WTP Plug-in

    I need someone to help put me in the right direction as to how configure Eclipse WTP Plug-in in Flash Builder 4. I have the plug-in downloaded on my desktop with 2 main folders (features and plug-ins) in it. At this point I am stuck as to where to go from here to get WTP into, and/or work with Flash Builder 4. I running the standalone version of FB4. Someone please help me.
    Bliss

    Praveen
    Please accept my sincere gratitude for your advice. Because for the time, after countless attempts to install this plug-in that I am noticing that even for a beginner something is beginning to make sense in the installation process. Now, I am NOT confirming completion because I am no sure of it. I am just saying I like what I see so far. That said, please advise as to what next  on what about to narrate to you. That is:
    I followed the recommended method (Help --> Install New Software). I did several plug-ins filtering along the way on installation prompts. After which the installation completed. FB4 restarted and for the first time there is emerged among the menus in the menu bar "WTP Tests". But as try to test-create a new Flex project I realized that the "combined Java and Flex projects" does not show up under the J2EE Application Server Type. Meanwhile, when I hover over the "WTP Tests" I see an "open" option. When clicked, I get a dialog captioned "Test Collector" listing many test suites to be ran/tested.
    Question:
          1.     What must i do to make the "combined Java and Flex projects" show up under the J2EE Application Server Type?
          2.     Do I need to run the tests on these Test Suites?
    Please advise. Once again, I appreciate your advice a great deal. Thanx in advance.
