Flash Builder Premium: ERROR: DW030

Hi,
I have a student license for one year so I should be able to use almost all adobe CC programs.
I already installed After Effects, Illustrator, Flash etc, and it all went smooth.
But then I wanted to install Flash Builder Premium for a school assignment and it just won't work.
Basically what happens is that I just start the installation via the Adobe CC Application, everything goes fine up untill 42% (probably here all the necessary files get downloaded), after extracting (at 43%) the installation gets stopped and I get an error message saying my installation failed.
This is the error log I got:
Exit Code: 6
Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR: DW030 ...
-------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------
- 0 fatal error(s), 1 error(s)
----------- Payload: Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 4.7.0.0 {EB510B48-ACF6-43A0-8214-3DA0D6D0936F} -----------

After seeing this I tried to fix it by getting some help from the Adobe Help Chat. This lady tried rather hard, but after all she didn't get it to work either.
I hope I'll get some nice answers, because I really need it for a school assignment and after all I paid for it!
Thanks in advance.

  • Flash Builder Premium 4.5 Plugin Error: RequiresLicense handler

    Hi,
I am using the Flash Builder Premium 4.5 Plugin (licensed copy) with SpringSource ToolSuite (STS) 2.6.1. I am getting this error that stops me building my app:
Unable to resolve a class for RequiresLicense handler: mx.automation:AutomationLicesneHandler.
...yes, the word 'license' is mis-spelled in the error message.
I've tried a fresh install of STS 2.6.1 and re-installing Flash Builder and the Plugin, to no avail.
    Please help.
    Thanks!

I did a workaround by adding this compiler argument:
    ${flexlib}/libs/automation/automation_agent.swc
...which points to that file in Flex 4.5. I can now build the app.
Why do I need to do this now when I didn't need to do so before ?

  • Unable to install Flash Builder Premium: a beta version exists on this computer

    Hi,
I'm a user of Flex since version 2 and i'm still currently using it everyday. Some days ago I uninstall Flash Builder Premium 4.7 because i did a mess installing some external packages so I dedided to uninstall it and install everything from scratch.
The problem is that installing using Creating Cloud on my iMac, I always receive the same error: "a beta version exists on this computer".
I have already used the "Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool" and I removed the "Adobe Flash Builder" having the same icon as the other applications installed by Creative Cloud and now I have another "Adobe Flash Builder" with a slightly different icon but I'm scared to use it because waiting to repair Flash Builder 4.7 I'm using Flash Builder 4.6 and I cannot think I cannot work because Flash Builder is not working (I use it every day !).
I removed Flash Builder 4.7 using the uninstaller, so the uninstalled didn't completed its job.
On the machine I have currently installed Flex Builder 3, Adobe Flash Builder 4.6, Adobe Gaming SDK 1.0 (no uninstaller for it !), Adobe Flash C++ Compiler (no uninstaller for it too!).
So, the question is, where I can find the log file containing the reason of the error message ? I have already checked the followimg folders:
\Library\Logs\Adobe\Installer: I cleaned the folder and the error happens before a file is created in this folder
\Users\<my account>\Library\Logs: it seems that the error isn't logged here
Please help me, I need to use Flash Builder 4.7 for a presentation I have to do next Wednsday (almost 2 years of working !!!)
    Thank you
    Diego Novati

    Hi novatiitm,
Please search for Flash Builder in Spotlight and if find simply uninstall it or delete the folders containing the software.

  • CS5 Web Premium without Flash Builder Premium?

So after spending an arm and a leg, you do not get a Flash Builder Premium with CS5 Web Premium but only Standard? This surprises me as I thought Adobe's greed is not as big as long term goals, promotion of Flash platform, being nice to users, especially as we all know Flash is a bit thin on some platforms and on the web at the moment. Obviously I was wrong and the greed surpasses all imaginable levels.
I frankly don't get the calculation where for the same price I get a State Of The Art Hardware - Mac, plus all the Apple dev tools for FREE. That's a computer, yes a laptop, the best out there, brand new, PLUS the software. On the other hand Adobe (with whose products you can't build and sell as good apps as with Apple's), is selling you Web **Premium** at a very high price, and YET you have to pay even more to actually get FB **Premium**.
Is FB considered like a useless add-on into the Web Premium bundle? Did they think, heck nobody will need it but let's give the basic version there to promote it a bit. Sort of like when you buy Windows, they give you a trial of some Antivirus software. Or is anybody thinking that FB is something I will use 80% out of Web Premium bundle? Or should it be packed with Video bundle? I really don;t get it.
So it's like this for the same money
Apple = Mac + Great Dev Tools + Tons of other apps
Adobe = CS5 Web Premium minus- FB Premium
To be fair, I did hear a rumor that if you complain to Adobe Customer Care, that they give you a license for free, which is the only fair thing. However, I'm waiting for quite some time now as my support case is on hold. What do you guys think about it and do you have any experience with it?

Gritty_d it appears that Flash Builder 4.6 is only included with Production Premium and Master Collecton CS6 - http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite.html.  It is not included currently with the Creative Cloud.
Did you purchase the upgrade to Web Premium or were you given a free upgrade to Creative Suite 6?

  • Flash Builder Premium License

    Hi,
I have a query over Flash Builder premium license. Consider a situation that I have flash builder premium license to build automation compatible Flex application and later I redistribute those SWF files to customers. If customer, doesn't posses the Flash builder premium license, but has license for automation tools. Is it ok, to distirbute the binaries build by someone else?

    Hi,
Have you already tried the steps here:

  • Flash Builder Premium and Create Stuite CS5 not compatible

    Hello,
After installing Create Suite  CS5 Master Collection, my exisiting Flash Builder Premium becomes Flash  Builder Standard. I tried to reinstall Flash Builder, but it always  picks up the serial number from CS5. How to restore Flash Builder  Premium? This is very frustrating.

Try to close the welcome screen and then re-open it ... or try and close the welcome screen, shut down FB and then reopen it.
same thing happened to me the first couple of times I opened FB but then I resolved it this way -- I think it must be because something was cached (those screens link to a website I think??).
Also, check your features, Do you have the premium features running (like network monitor?)
    Good luck!

  • Automation stops at 30 despite using Flash Builder Premium 4.0

I'm a developer trying to release a build to QA. QA is telling me their build is stopping their test cases after 30. This shouldn't be the case.
I'm running Flash Builder Premium 4.0.1.
I've included this line on my additional compiler arguments:
    -include-libraries+="${flexlib}/libs/automation/automation.swc","${flexlib}/libs/automatio n/automation_agent.swc","${flexlib}/libs/automation/automation_dmv.swc","${flexlib}/libs/a utomation/automation_spark.swc","${flexlib}/libs/automation/automation_flashflexkit.swc"," ${flexlib}/libs/automation/qtp.swc"
After initial attempts failed I tried fixing it by following the instructions on this link: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-builder/kb/flex-automation-issues-flash-builder.html
However the same issue exists where QA can only run 30 test cases.
Any idea what else I can do other than trying to upgrade to Flash Builder 4.7?

  • Using flex4.1, Flash Builder giving error "flash.filesystem::StorageVolume could not be found."

    Hi there,
I'm trying to copy some files to Storage Card on a AIR application. Is this possible with the latest version of the AIR SDK (2.0)?
I am developing in Flash Builder. I have downloaded the lastest flex sdk(4.1)  and used it.
Flash Builder then recognises the StorageVolume and StorageVolumeInfo classes. However when I then run the app the debugger throws an error on the following line:
    LINE:
    var volumes:Vector.<StorageVolume> = StorageVolumeInfo.storageVolumeInfo.getStorageVolumes();
Note: I have imported both classes as well.

  • Flash catalyst 5 file opened in flash builder gives "Error #2032"

    Hi there,
As the title suggests I created a file in Flash catalyst 5 and to give it resizeability I edited it in flash builder to add preinitialize="systemManager.stage.scaleMode='showAll'" in main.xhtml as I found suggested in the forums.
The problem is when I try to load this in my web browser I get the #2032 error and nothing happens.
Does anybody more knowledgeable than me have any ideas as to why I might be getting this error?
    Best regards,
    Gareth

I'll give you the short answer, Flash Catalyst is built on top of the Flex Framework and it's libraries. When you launch or load a FC swf, it will contact the Adobe servers to check the status of various libraries. Since you are loading this into a standard Flash Professional created swf, you are by passing some of the fallbacks that exist.
If the movieClip that you are creating is just a filler image, and you are just centering the FC swf, then I also recommend using CSS to display the filler and some HTML/CSS to center the content.
    Hope this helps a little.
If you did the loading of the FC swf from a Flash Builder based project, you should not have the issue, since it is a Flex based SWF, the framework checks are already handled for you.

  • Export from Flash Builder with Error Message

I was attempting to reduce my file size by removing the embedding. Got an error message when I tried to open it in Catalyst. "Flash Catalyst cannot open this project because it was created by an incompatible version of Flash Catalyst" Please help. Urgent.

    Hey Blink,
Just to clarify, you completed the following steps:
    1) opened your Catalyst project in Flash Builder
    2) removed the 'embed' statements
    3) exported as an FXP
    4) Tried to re-open in Catalyst?
We currently do not support a roundtrip workflow between Flash Catalyst and Flash Builder.
Meaning once you open a Catalyst created project in Flash Builder, you can't bring it back to Catalyst for editing.
We know this is really, really important to our users and it is on our list.
Blink, let me know if this answers your question.  If the steps I listed are incorrect, and you did not in fact open your project in Builder, let me know.
Are you using beta 1 or beta 2? Flash Catalyst 1.0, available today, contains a feature which allows you to toggle your images between 'embedded' and 'non-embedded'.  You can right click an image in the library panel to 'convert it to a linked image'.
    Thanks for posting!
    Tara

  • Flash builder + sqlight error #3115

Hi guys i'm making a mobile app with flash builder but i stumble upon an error. In short terms, you put a text in a text input, u click a button and it only lists the things from the database with that imputted text in it. Here are the codes:
    First the Homeview.mxml:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <s:View xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
      xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark" title="Home"

and secondly the sql ".as file" :
