Flash Builder trial license - how to get extension?

I have 15 days remaining on my Flash Builder Beta license. As soon as Flash Builder Beta is officially release I'll be purchasing it. My professional copy of Flex Builder 3 was bought for me by a previous employer. I still have access to the login details for the purchase so I checked and there's no mention of the Flash Builder Beta extension for owners of Flex Builder 3. What do I need to do to extend Flash Builder Beta past the current remaining 15 days?
Thanks
Nick

Wow, my Flash Builder license went from 10 days left to no days left between yesterday and today and now I'm stuck!
a) when is this site going to be up?
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashbuilder4/extension.html
b) if not soon, what should I do (other than migrating back to FB3)?
Never got any email or anything regarding a temporary license.  Kind of bummed.  Completely sunk

  • Flash Builder Premium License

    Hi,
    I have a query over Flash Builder premium license. Consider a situation that I have flash builder premium license to build automation compatible Flex application and later I redistribute those SWF files to customers. If customer, doesn't posses the Flash builder premium license, but has license for automation tools. Is it ok, to distirbute the binaries build by someone else?

    Hi,
    Have you already tried the steps here:

  • Flash Builder 4.6 - How can I keep unit test classes out of the finished swc?

         I have a library of code I'm building and I'm working on unit testing but I have a major issue. When my finished swc compiles no matter what I do it includes the unit test classes as part of the intellisense if you load the swc via flash. The classes aren't really in the swc since if you just try and import them they'll come up undefined. They only appear to go into the intellisense for the swc. Does anyone know how can I keep this from happening in the finished source? Currently my folder setup is like this in flash builder.
    src\main - source documents for the library to get compiled
    src\mock - mock class area for unit testing
    src\test - unit test classes
         In the project Properties panel > the first tab of my Flex Library Build path I have selected only the src\main folder for the classes to inlude in the library. No other folder paths are selected.
    The "Flex Library Build Path" doesn't change my results with any setting.
    Thanks,

  • Upgrading Flash Builder Trial to Full

    I've been using the Flash Builder Premium trial and would now like to purchase Flash Builder Standard. Can I just purchase a code online and enter it into the trial and continue using it as normal with the premium features disabled? Or will it be a separate install requiring export/import of projects from the trial version and reinstalling plugins?
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    No separate installation should be needed - the Standard SN should be accepted to activate Flash Builder.

  • How to get extension version number to update in exchange panel.

    I was able to upload my Illustrator extension, set it to private and share it. Brialliant functionality. Now I have released a point update, and although it shows the correct version in the extension details on the Adobe Exchange website, the version number will not update in the panel itself, although my description modifications update just fine. The extension as shown in the "Not Published" list of the sight has the old version number. When I click on it to get to the main extension page, it shows the correct version number in title and in also correct in the details on the right. It does say "(Preview)" after the name. I don't intend to ever sell it, but want to keep sharing it privately. How do I get it to recognize version updates?
    Thanks

    Hi there,
    It sounds to me like the reason your new patch (with the updated product version) is not showing in the panel is that it has not been "published". If it's showing up in the "Not Published" screen, this means that it's only available for you personally to make changes to in the producer portal - once you're finished making your changes (uploading a new ZXP etc.) you need to click Submit (with Auto-Publish) to make the new version go live to the people it's shared with (and show up in the panel). As long as the product is set to Private, clicking Submit (with Auto-Publish) will not make the product available publicly - it will continue to be private, visible only to the groups you specify.

  • Questions about licenses - How to get them back?

    Hey Guys!
    For maybe a year ago I bought Logic Pro 9 in App Store. And if I got it right, I have 5 licenses - right?
    So I installed it on my partners Mac, my iMac, and my two MacBooks. (That gives me one licens back).
    If I later decides to sell one of my computers, is there a way to get the licens back? (So i have two)
    Maybe by deleting the program or even format the computer.? Or do I have to buy it again? What to do?
    Looking forward to hear from you guys! :-)
    Kind Regards
    Mathias Thunbo - Denmark.

    What makes you think you have 5 licenses? Did you purchase a volume license? Or are you referring to the "install on all Macs you own and control"?
    If you are referring to the limit of 5 with iTunes, that is iTunes (music/video content) and has nothing to do with software applications purchased/downloaded from the Mac App Store.
    Here is an excerpt of the SLA:
    2. Permitted License Uses and Restrictions.
    A. Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, unless you obtained the Apple Software under a volume license, maintenance or other written agreement from Apple, you are granted a limited non-transferable license to install and use the Apple Software only on Apple-branded computers that you own or control in accordance with the Mac App Store Product Usage Rules located at: http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/ww/ (“Mac Usage Rules”). Except as permitted under the Mac Usage Rules, you may not distribute or make the Apple Software available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time. You may not rent, lease, lend, sell, transfer, redistribute or sublicense the Apple Software.
    You can download the entire thing here:
    http://www.apple.com/legal/sla/
    http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#APPS
    As far as I know, you cannot give/sell the license to someone else if/when you sell your Mac. The license is tied to your Apple ID and (I believe) not transferable. Applications sold in the app store not only have the store terms attached to them, but the individual software license agreements as well.

  • Can I purchase a license for Flash Builder 4?

    I'm enjoying using the Flash Builder 4 plug-in for Eclipse. It is saying that i will soon need to enter a serial number. I only see licenses for Flex Builder 3 available for purchase.
    Can I purchase just a license for FB 4? If not now, then when? Is there some other way I can keep using FB 4 until then? I don't want to purchase a license for FB 3 (to keep using the FB 4 beta) and then have to purchase a separate upgrade later.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Flash Builder 4 license are not available for purchase at this time. To extend your beta license you will need a valid FB 3 license. We'll be having another beta at the end of this year, but it will also have a trial period which will only be extended with a FB 3 license.

  • Cannot edit the manifest.xml in flash builder extension builder 2.1

    In flash builder I installed the extension builder 2.1 to build a photoshop extension. The basic structure created automatically the manifest.xml file but i cannot edit this file in the editor and If I edit outside of the flash builder it does not reflect the changes.
    What I want is to add an icon for my extension.

    SOLVED!!
    ===========
    When creating an adobe extension project in Adobe extension Builder with Flash Builder 4.6, a folder ".stage-extension" is created but not listed in the directory in the Package Explorer Tab. However the manifest.xml file in the bin-debug folder is shown giving the impression that it could be edited.
    To edit the manifest.xml file, locate the location of your project and find: YourPorjectName>.stage-extension>CSXS>manifest.xml
    Edit this manifest.xml for the changes to apply.

  • I need help migrating an existing project from Flash Professional CS6 to Flash Builder 4.6.

    I have followed tutorials...instructions on the web...all I get are unsolvable errors.
    I have a large Air application that compiles fine and works in Flash. However I would like to take advantage of the as3xls api which does not work in Flash Professional (for no reason in particular the internet just tells me it won't work because Flash Professional cannot access some part of the Flex framework).
    So I want to make my project work in Flash Builder. However, when I attempt to reference my document class, flash builder gives me an error telling me the package path com.andrewbefus.ModelMapper no longer works. It does this no matter how I select the folder to reference my document class. If I change the path to nothing...Flash Builder is happy with my document class and unhappy with every other class I have made.
    Then I decided to make a new Flash Builder ActionScript file and simply replace the ModelMapper.as document class that Flash Builder created with my completed ModelMapper.as. After some messing around with paths and directories, I got Flash Builder to be happy with my program structure but then all hell broke loose on almost every single Class outside the Flash Builder framework. One by one I attempted to tell Flash Builder where to go to get my components, fl.motion classes, and my custom classes but Flash Builder refused to recognise them unless I reference the folder containing the files, and then proceeded to tell me that the project path of every single class needed to be changed. I imagine if I spend the rest of my day mucking around with this something else will come up.
    I went looking for a tutorial explaining how to migrate a Flash Professional project over to Flash Builder. The closest thing I could come up with told me to just select my fla. file by going Project<Flash Professional<Create project using Fla file... which worked great except refused to compile my project as a desktop application for no sane reason - giving no option to select my project when I attempted to create a new Run Configuration.
    One frustration after another....

    I've also followed all the instructions here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html
    Still no luck...

  • Overlaying adobe air sdk in flash builder 4.6

    After overlaying adobe air sdk in flash builder 4.6 i am getting this error in my flex mobile project "Could not resolve <s:ViewNavigatorApplication> to a component implementation.". I have followed the steps mentioned on this link "http://rubberduckygames.com/how-to-overlay-abode-air-sdk-over-flex-sdk/". Can anyone please suggest me what i need to do in order to get this work.

    Finally Figure it out..
    geo = new Geolocation();
    geo.addEventListener(GeolocationEvent.UPDATE, onLocationUpdate);
    has to be executed before checking if it is muted.
    geo.addEventListener(GeolocationEvent.UPDATE, onLocationUpdate);
    Is what requests permissions from the phone to use the gps.
    Hope this saves someone alot of time.

  • Flash Builder 4.7 licence activation

    Hello,
        My company bought a flash builder 4.7 premium licence, but apparently it doesn't work...
         I created a small projet to test and add that piece of code to see if it's ok :
    protected function applicationCompleteHandler(event:FlexEvent):void
                                            Many features require a Flash Builder Pro (Premium) license to function properly (i.e. automation)
                                            The LicenseUser class registers a handler (LicenseHandler) to be called if a Flash Builder Pro license is NOT present;
                                            if a Flash Builder Pro license IS present, then the compiler will remove the LicenseHandler class for the SWF
                                            if (Class(this.systemManager.getDefinitionByName("licence.LicenseHandler")))
                                                      Alert.show("This SWF was compiled WITHOUT a Flash Builder Pro license")
                                            else
                                                      Alert.show("This SWF was compiled WITH a Flash Builder Pro license")
       [RequiresLicense("mx.fbpro", handler="licence.LicenseHandler")]
        public class LicenseUser
            public function LicenseUser()
        public class LicenseHandler
            public function LicenseHandler()
    It's a piece of code we can find on some forum and works for some people.
    But the message which is displayed is always the first one => "This SWF was compiled WITHOUT a Flash Builder Pro license"
    I found that page (http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-builder/kb/flex-automation-issues-flash-builder.html) to replace the licence.jar but it still doesn't work...
    The profiler doesn't work either...
    Have you got any ideas please ?
    Thanks.

    Hi
    I am having same issue.
    Have followed the instruction at: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-builder/kb/overlay-air-sdk-flash-builder.html
    When go to compile my mobile flex app I get cant resolve ViewNavigationApplication and new flex mobile projects do not 'finish' when using the wizard.
    [Update]
    Have AIRSDK 3.5 with ASC 2.0 is working nicely. Also must remember, when updating SDK need to make sure there are not firewall restrictions to the new commands (adt)
    This has solved my ios deployment issue with AIR 3.4 (which was only reason invesigating AIR 3.6 in the first place)

  • Flex, Air, Flash, Flash builder, ASC2.0

    After the decision of moving Flex to apache, and with the release of Flash builder 4.7 I am getting a bit confused about what is what anymore.
    Flex development is moving to apache, yet the compilers, packaging tools and more seem to live inside the Flex SDK.
    Air SDK has previously gone on top of the Flex SDK and seems to be an addon on the Flex SDK.
    However in flash builder 4.7, AIR SDK is set as the compiler even for web projects, although the result is a .swf file with no dependency on AIR.
    On top of things now you can get AIR SDK with ASC2.0 that still can build web applications (non-air)
    I am sorry if this is a stupid question, but Isn't this getting a bit complicated and terminologies getting mixed up?
    Am I right to assume that things are moving towards the following:
    AIR SDK - Compiler and core framework/Api for AS3 code that targets either web(swf), air or air mobile (this would be bundled with Flash builder), have command line tools, to build & package applications.
    FLEX SDK - Frameworks for RIA apps (mxml files etc), but ultimately not necessery unless your doing those kinds of apps.

    In the Flex/Flash world, everything eventually gets compiled to SWF despite how the source is written.  SWF consists of media assets as well as bytecode that can be executed.  This is very similar to the Windows world where EXE/DLL files may be a compiled product of C++, VB, Delphi, etc code.
    ASC 2.0 is a new compiler that produces more optimal bytecode.  While Flash is fast, the current ActionScript compiler does not produce good enough bytecodes that gets the best out of Flash player.
    Adobe AIR provides additional capabilities outside of Flash Player to make the applications more desktop friendly.  Flash Player is constrainted by browser security, therefore capabilities such as are local file read/write are limited.  While the security makes sense, when it comes to desktop applications where security model is different, it makes sense to have extentions that enrich the user experience.  Throughout the years, besides API additions, AIR grows to include capabilities such as packaging SWFs for mobile devices.
    Flex is just a framework that's designed to make building business applications easier.  However, business applications can be built without Flex framework.
    p.s.  I am not an Adobe employee, but I have been trying to clear this confusion for many people.  It seems that Adobe's PR is not keen on communicating with developers, while they are awesome in terms of catering creative professionals.

  • Flash Builder, Design area resolution gone?...

    Hi, maybe is a simple one but trying with no luck in the Flash Builder Trial, looking in the documentation,
    cannot see where is the design area, in flex 3 was easy lets say know how the components looked like
    in 2000x1000 for example just putting there the value.
    where is this located in Flash Builder
    thanks.

    Nope, he's right, it's not there for me either.
    This is what he is talking about.  I do anticipate this being an annoyance for me once I switch to FB4 at work.
    In this case, just a VBox container with width/height both set to 100%.  The main Application container had no w/h set, but I don't imagine that mattering.
