Flash button download link

I don't think the message for people to download the flash
player is popping up on webpages. I've tried to use the button and
the link supplied by Adobe but it keeps putting the website address
that it is on in front of the Adobe address so it comes up as a, "
not found webpage".
Is there an easier way to get the message out to download a
flash player if you cannot see the videos on this page?

It sounds like you're not including the link correctly. It
needs to be
the full address, including the
http:// protocol.

Not many people will download it if they don't already have
it.

Using own flash button - no link option

Hey,
This is probably a really dumb question, but I cannot figure
out how to link my own imported flash button to a page on my site.
If I select a button within DW, and click the edit option I'm
presented with the option of linking the button. If I use my own
button, clicking edit just puts me into Flash.
I don't want to use the "getURL" within flash because it
insists on too many security checks which would really ruin a
visitor's experience to my site.
Even in code view there is no hint as to a link referenced,
so I can't even fudge around with the code!
Any help would be appreciated.

PS.--Adobe: maybe offer a "suggested username" when
registering for your forums - not really my preferred choice of
nick, but got fed up after 20 attempts to choose one.

You cannot apply an HTML link to a Flash element. That link
must be part of
the Actionscript.

Get Adobe Reader Button Download Link Code Logo

Hi Folks,
I Googled and searched the forum, but found no clear direction about what button to use if I want to enable my users to download the reader. I'm surprised that Adobe hasn't standardized this, something like the "Buy Now" buttons that PayPal has.
Anyway, would someone kindly post the official code and logos? At a minimum, users will find this easy to find due to the good keywords in the title. Even consider making this a sticky.

Flash button link help

i have a flash website template where i have done all the editing for my website but now on profile page i create a button and i want when i click on that button that button will take me on another page which is already in that template, but i can't create that. Please assit me asap.

What will people who do not have Flash installed do when they

You have to do this when you create the buttons in DW, or
when you make them
in Flash.
If you want to use Flash for navigation, consider this -
1. Some people don't have Flash installed - what do they do?
2. Search engines don't parse Flash links - your site will
not be spidered
3. Screen assistive devices don't parse Flash links - what
will those users
do?
4. DW cannot maintain links within a Flash movie, so if you
move or rename
a linked file, your navigation will break - what will you do?
It's usually a very bad idea for these reasons...

Issue adding Flash Buttons

I'm trying to put flash nav button in a template that I built
for a web site. Within 'Inset Flash Button' under Link: I browse
for the .html page that I want to link the button to. When I'm
finished and click 'OK' I get a error message; this is a site
related Link. Please use either an absolute or document-relative
link.
All the .swf (flash buttons) files are in my Template folder
that also houses my main_elements.dwt file.
What an I doing wrong?

Must you use Flash buttons? You can avoid this problem
altogether by using
ordinary graphic buttons or even CSS styled text. Besides,
there are many
disadvantages to the use of Flash navigation -
1. Some people don't have Flash installed - what do they do?

Flash button: Jump to anchor tag in iframe.

Hi there...
I have a problem with flash button when linking to named anchor in html - iframe. I used the code below:
on (release) {
getURL ("calculator.html#goldvalue", "main");
"main" is name of an iframe in index.html, that opens with calculator.html.
<iframe id="main" src="calculator.html" width="1024" height="500" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" name="main"><p>Your browser doesn't support iframes.</p></iframe>
Any idea how to fix this?

"goldvalue" is na anchor name in calculator.html, it's not a function or anything... I'd like flash button to scroll or in another words to jump to middle of the html page. All links do work - except the ones with anchor names. As the matter of fact even calculator.html#goldvalue works as a link, it just doesn't jumps to the #goldvalue.

Problem with Flash Button Sticking

I am adding Handlers to Mouse Events using action Script 3.
The buttons move up and down when rolling over the button. So you
have that "wave effect" when navigating the site.
The problem I am having is that if you rollout of the button
before the button is done playing the movie it freezes at that
point of the movie.
Has anyone had this problem before? Can anyone help?

Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 broken download link

Sad that there is no simple reporting mechanism avaialble to report simple problems like this nor appears to be proactive monitoring for problems like this. The link was tried on FF13 and Chrome.

Found to be platform specific. Occurs on Linux only AFAIK. Was able to download on a Windows machine with FF13.

So you have a button in Flash and you want it to take you to
a url when clicking on it?
Here is a quick example of how to do this by applying
actionscript to the button itself. When you have the button on the
stage, select it on the stage and then go into your Actions panel

How do I remove download links/button redirect to accurate download

When I go to some sites that have a download link underscored in blue or a button next to text or any other part of the page, I was able to click and download the file. When you point at the link or button you would see the path it will take to download the file. It would have the website name your visiting plus other codes.
But on returning to these sites, when I choose what I want to download, the link or button wants to go to accuratedownload.com. It presents the name of the item I want and with a .EXE extension. My main browser is Firefox version 26.0 on my XP PC. I test Internet Explorer and it produces the same results. Something has changed. I go to the site on my mobile phone, I am able to download the file from the same site and the links/buttons are not embedded with codes to go to accuratedownload.com. I do not know what to call this problem since I had no luck in finding solutions to redirection being embedded in a link or button on a web page that worked fine.
I've tried a reset Firefox, my profile, running Symantec Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes Anit-Malware, Clearing history and so on. The problem still occurs. Need Help.
Note: It would be nice if when the Download Screen pops-up, that we could rename the download file to a name we want (Saves time). Even if you rename the file, the history should record where it came from with the original name if it needs to be downloaded again.

To let you know, When I did a reset and restarted Fire Fox without the Add on's. I tested each user account on my PC. Each user account that used Fire Fox or Windows Explorer showed the same symtoms.
Back to troubleshooting, I've completed a scan using Sothos Free Virus Removal Tool. After a lengthy scan of every drive, partition, USB Thumb Drive and so on that it found, in about 5.5 hours it found Mal/FakeAvCn-C, Mal/JavDlEx-A and CXmal/BadLnk-A and continued by clicking the Clean Up button and that took about 15 minutes for some reason. Then it asked to send the log to Sophos. I clicked send and it failed to get to them.
I tried going on the internet to test the cleanup by clicking on some links and buttons. I could not get on the internet. I found that the NIC card was not working. Don't know why now but probably was affected by the scan. I found myself troubleshooting and reinstalling NIC drivers several times before the NIC card started to run correctly.
I read you post and tried to change the proxy settings in Fire Fox to "No Proxy." The scan, clean up and proxy settings change did not remove the embedded paths in links or buttons that allow you to download or be sent to the intended location. It still had paths to accuratedownload.com and eachdownload.com.
Question: By default is the proxy setting suppose to be "Use system proxy settings"? Should I put this back to this setting.
Windows Explorer has the same problem. Is Fire Fox a stand alone product or does it build parts of itself using Windows Explorer?

Flash button link will not work in CS4

Can anyone walk me through step by step to get a flash button link to work in CS4? I tries action scripts 2 and 3... I cut and pasted a bunch of code on line, watched tutorials, and no matter what i do, the link won't work in CS4. The button looks and works fine, but won't go to the web site ot web page after clicking on it.
At this point, I am so confused, i think it would be better if someone walked me through step by step. My email is [email protected] I can email the button is that would help. Thanks.

HT5655 After clicking Safari prompt box to "Download Flash..." , I'm linked to the Adobe Flash Player Download page. I click the "Download Now". The page advance to next page in the download process but then immediately goes black and nothing happens.

Don't DL Flash from web sites. If you have Adobe Flash installed it should be in System Preferences and you can find the latest version and download from there.
If you are installing for the first time,this is where to DL it.
