Flash causes "Not Responding"

I am using Flash 15.0.0.239 on IE 11.0.9600.17420IS on Windows 7. Nearly every website I open with Flash enabled gets a "not responding" error including Adobe.Com. If I disable Flash, the websites work just fine. How do I fix this problem?

  • Toshiba flash card not responding

I have had my laptop for several years and lately I've been frequently getting the pop-up message 'Toshiba flash card not responding'. It's almost impossible to click away this message. I think there's a relationship between this and the fact that Internet Explorer is slow to start up and sometimes stops running for no good reason when I am online.
    How do I fix this?

the toshiba flash cards are the cards that appear at the top of your screen when you rollover it or when you perform a function using the FN button and any of the F keys them not functioning will not cause any problem with your internet explorer but whatever caused the Toshiba flash cards to not work might be making your IE not work

    ar tech,
I think that your problem is to do with layering. You have
specified both loaders to have width and height 100% so (unless
there is more to your code than you have posted) they will sit on
top of each other. In that case unless you have done some clever
code to pass on the mouse request, it will get swallowed by
whichever one is on top (hence the change of behaviour when you
    alter the order of loading).
It sounds from your description as though they actually sit
in different screen areas, so maybe try changing the location
parameters and see if both respond when you put them side by side.

  • Equium A100-338 - Flash Card not Responding

Everytime I close down World of Warcraft something pops up in the top left hand corner (looks like it should be a window but only top bar showing) which reads 'Toshiba Flash Card (Not Responding)'. What can I do to stop this from happening?
Im pretty sure it pops up throughout the game as well as I hear a ding.
    I have a Equium A100-338.
    Thanks for any help!

    Hi,
a solution can be disabling the flash card service if you dont need your flash drive.
You can disable it just by following these steps:
    - Go into Start -> settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services
    - Make a right click on "Smart Card" and left-click on "Properties"
    - In the window which pops up you have to stop the service and disable it with choosing "Disabled" at the option "Startup Type"
After that your flashdrive service is disabled and you wont get that annoying errormessage anymore.
    (I hope so :O )

  • LR CC launches then freezes at flash screen, Not Responding status. have reinstalled, signed out and back in etc etc.

LR CC installed successfully. Launch, get upgrade catalog pop up, ok, Process. LR then launches then freezes at flash screen, Not Responding status. Have reinstalled, Signed out and back in etc etc. Have let it run for several hrs, no joy. Now have 9 catlogs from doign this 9 times. PS CC works fine.

I have found a solution somewhat. Not ideal, but working.
uninstalled and reinstalled for second time. Signed in to CC app, then signed out. Then opened LR CC, signed in from within that (not the CC app), the upgrade catalog pop up came up (again), then LR CC launched and worked fine, albeit bit sluggish.
signed out of LR, signed back in the CC app, lauch LR, it froze at splash screen. So tried LR5 whilst signed into CC app, it froze as well at splash screen.
SIgn out out if CC app, restart PC, launch LR5 without going through CC app, works fine. Tried LR CC direct, works fine. Tried again after sign in through CC app, froze.
so my issue appears related to the CC app.
after all this stuffing about, I am now up to catalog 13 !
so I have a solution for my problem, not ideal, but works.
two hrs in Adobe chat line did not proved the resolution.

  • Flash CS4 not responding on close

Lately I am unable to close Flash without an error that the program is not responding.  I can close files, and they will show in the recent file history, but when I close the program itself, it shows a white screen only.  In the task manager it shows that it is not responding.
When I tried to poke around a little, I found that this error always occurred when I had used Actionscript. This was true for about 2 weeks.  Then the problem worsened, and now, even if I just open Flash and close it again (without opening any file) it keeps crashing.
I've seen a post for Flash CS3 with no real answers to this problem.  My hope is that someone (anyone) has an idea what might be causing this.
I am running Flash on an XP machine with sufficient processor and memory.
    Thanks in advance...

I know this is a year old, but I am having the exact same issue. Flash CS4 on windowsXP 32bit...anyone?

  • Every new function causes (not responding), takes a long long time for each operation, everything else on new I7 laptop is fast.

I installed firefox 4 and it starts slow but every function I try causes the term (not responding) on top and it can take several minutes for the function to finish executing. My PC is only 6 mos old with I7 processors, run Panda security software, I did all that your Troubleshooting instruction said to try but still not working correctly.

  • Flash keeps 'not responding' when exporting .swf & file WAY too big

    Hello!
I am creating an animation using ActionScript2 on Flash Professional CS5 and whenever I try to export (or even test) my animation, the progress bar comes up but the progress does not move. Then after about a second the dreaded '(not responding)' appears at the top of the window and if you click anywhere it greys out closes it.
If I leave it it doesn't export for ages (liteally like 3-6 minutes which is long for just exporting).
It only has 280 frames and the .fla file so far is 9.96MB! Other animations I have made have had double the frames yet 5 times smaller a file.
I have cleaned my registry many times (I thought that might be the problem or something).
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND! PLZ HELP!

  • Flash is not responding constantly only when I open a more complex project

    Hi all,
Originally, I downloaded the free trial of Flash Professional CC 2014 to work on a major project. As my project has become more complex, flash suddenly kept not responding. The issue is not evident when I work on the less complex projects.
I have tried giving the file more space by deleting other flash projects from my computer, as well as clearing drive space, but this has made no difference. The project file is 9.5mb in size.
I then downloaded the full paid version of Flash and the problem is still there.
I have narrowed the issue down to a complex symbol I created, it has multiple layers with around 150 seperate keyframes. The issue started around when I created this symbol, and now when i try to place the symbol into the scene, I am able to grab and drag the symbol, and when I try the program stops responding. Overall without touching the symbol the program is very slow and often stops responding because of simple actions. I hope not to recreate this symbol as that will take up more valuable time.
I hope someone can help as I have a lot more to add to the project.

  • Flash CS6 not responding every few seconds.

I've been working on a few animation projects for the past few days, and Flash CS6 always tends to show the spinning blue wheel and white screen for like 10 seconds. This is very irritating. I would probably be done with the project by now if it weren't for this bug.
    Specs:
    Windows 7 64-bit
    Nvidia GeForce GT 540m
    8gb ram
    Intel Core i7
    Thanks in advance.

I'm also having this problem. Every now and then (probably with a 5-10 min interval) Flash CS6 freezes for 10 or more seconds. The larger the Flash-file, the longer it freezes. I've turned off the auto-recovery mode, I'm not working on a file that's in a network folder (like Dropbox, since I heard somebody had trouble with this), and I've quit all programs. Still freezes. I've also got all the latest updates.
It's very annoying, and I think I would've been able to work a lot more if this weren't happening all the time. Perhaps I'll try to import all of the content into a new file?
    Any know solutions?

  • Adobe Flash CC Not Responding/Crashing

I'm using Flash CC on a PC and every minute or so the program goes into Non-Responding mode or even occasionally crashing. Has anyone been experiencing this same problem, or even knows a way to fix it?

  • Flash 8 not responding to changes

    Hi,
I'm a newbie to flash and I'm trying to create my first major
movie with photos and linked videos, but as I go through the
learning process I've discovered that Flash 8 has not been acting
the way it should or maybe it does and I'm doing something wrong.
My first case was after I built my movie and tested it. I
decided I needed a preloader. I then moved all my starting
keyframes to frame 2. I built my preloader which consisted of
vector text and a progress bar it showed the frame as having 650k.
I spent all day trying to figure out why. I wound up starting over
and building the preloader 1st. The frame now read 35k then copied
all my other pieces into the new move and everything worked fine.
My next case is after I've put a simple action script on a
    button such as:
    on (rollOver) {
    gotoAndStop(8);
ThenI changed it to a diff frame triedthe test movie and even
publish to see if movie acts accordingly and there is no change. I
even deleted the script and again no change. It still acts as if
it's playing the script from above.
Is this normal? It's driving me crazy and I really don't want
to have to try and rebuild this whole thing again. What can I do to
    stop this from happening?

I resolved this problem by disabling Universal Scrolling for the Firefox application.
Go to '''Control Panel'''->'''Mouse'''->'''Lenovo '''(tab)->'''Advanced Properties '''(button)->'''Wheel '''(tab)
If "Enable Universal Scrolling" is selected click the '''Exceptions''' button and add Firefox to this list.
It might be easier to disable Universal Scrolling altogether, but I do not know how this will affect other applications so I didn't do that.

  • Flash 8 does not respond

i've just upgraded from MX to 8 and now Flash 8 hangs every
time i want to open a new file.
    - i open a .FLA and edit in Flash 8
    - i export the .SWF and close the file
    - i open a new .FLA, but Flash does not respond and 'thinks'
about it and spins the beachball
    - i have to "Force Quit" from the Dock and start the process
    again
it also takes a while to boot up when i open Flash from the
Dock (as does Dreamweaver). a good few minutes for both.
    i'm running OS X 10.4.8 on a G4 dual 1.25 with QuickTime
    7.1.3

This is a known issue with Flash Pro CC - GM build.
this crash has been fixed in the update that was released recently. Please update to 13.0.1.808 version and it should fix this.
Please reply if it still persists after the update.
