Flash CC export swf for google AdWords

Hi,
Google accept swf from 4 - 10.1 and from Flash CC I can only publish swf in version 10.3+ any idea how to solve the problem?
I will be grateful for your help.

I agree that Flash is a dying instrument advertising. We AIR and Java.
But the advertising industry do not you just go 'round. I did not discuss with the client just doing a job for him.
Adobe does not have to take care of all, but with google advertising systems should provide trouble-free operation.
Professional must be related to something professional. It must take into account the standards.
Otherwise Profesjonal it's not professional ...

    There are many people complaining about this in other threads.  I found the solution from kglad in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5750996
    You can get Flash CC to publish to version 9 player by putting these two files in these locations:
    This file: http://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/download/5510986-147069/Fl ashPlayer9_0.xml
    Goes here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CC\Common\Configuration\Players\FlashPlayer9_0.xml
    This file:  http://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/download/5510986-147068/pl ayerglobal.swc.zip
    Goes here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CC\Common\Configuration\ActionScript 3.0\FP9\playerglobal.swc
    You may need to create the FP9 folder.
    Restart flash and you should see Player 9 in your publish options.  You'll have to find the AS3 clickTag code.

  • Problem with exporting SWF for web - missing last 5 seconds

    Hello everybody.
    I´ve got this problem that when I render my animation everythings OK, but when I try to export it as SWF it doesn´t include last 5 seconds. There are only shapes & solids used in the animation (masks, scale etc.) so pretty simple stuff. Animation has 35 sec. Is there any time limit or do you have any ideas how to fix this? I checked rasterize all unsupported features that did nothing.
    AE CS6
    Thank´s a lot,
    Marek

    This could be a bunch of things. It could be that the last five seconds are using an effect that is not supported so it needs to be rasterized. Frankly, AE is a lousy, let me repeat that, lousy tool for creating SWF files. Your best option is to render a video compressed in the H.261 format and use Flash to embed that video in your SWF file. The SWF will load quicker, be smaller, play on more devices and be more professional. The project will still not be mobile compatible which, now days, means you're losing 60% of your audience.

  • Google Adwords compatible flash banners for n00bs.

    A small guide to a miserable evening of trying to make a google-adwords compatible banner in Flash CC by a miserable designer who is _not_ an actionscript pro. Or actionscript anything, really. Probably could be done smarter, but that's how I did it - with the help of the internet and some friends.
    Google adwords policy:
    https://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/176108?hl=en
    The issues I had to deal with when publishing, the rest, so far, seem to be default in Flash CC:
    Animation length must be 30 seconds or shorter
    Solved by looping the animation twice, or however is needed to have the length below 30s.
    Why 2 loops and not actually 30 seconds and then stop? So the banner won't freeze in the middle of the animation once reached 30 seconds.
    How it's done (step by step for utter actionscript noobs like myself):
    Select an animation symbol instance (not in the library).
    Go inside.
    Add a new empty layer on top of all the other layers inside the symbol
    Make a blank keyframe at the end of the animation sequence
    Select it
    Click F9 to call the Actions menu
    Paste this code inside:
    if(!this.loops_played) this.loops_played = 1;
    if(this.loops_played >= 2) stop(); else play();
    this.loops_played++;
    Repeat for every animation symbol + if there is animation out in timeline, there too. Can copy/paste the code layer.-----------
    AdWords currently supports only Adobe Flash Player versions 4 through 10.1. If your ad uses any other version (such as 10.2), it cannot be uploaded.
    Flash CC - for some obscure reason - is built to publish down to Flash 10.3, no less. It is solved by installing two files in the Flash directory:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CC\Common\Configuration\Players\FlashPlayer9_0.xml
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CC\Common\Configuration\ActionScript 3.0\FP9\playerglobal.swc
    Files, courtesy of user kglad:
    https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/download/5510986-147068/playerglobal.swc.zip
    https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/download/5510986-147069/FlashPlayer9_0.xml
    How to use: After installing, go to File > Publish Settings, and select Flash Player 9.0 in "target" (top right corner) of the swf file format.
    Google doesn't allow Flash ads that don't support the clickTAG variable. The clickTAG is the tracking code assigned by Google to an individual ad. It allows Google to register where the ad was displayed when it was clicked and helps advertisers determine the effectiveness of their campaign.
    Note that it's not necessary to specify the landing page URL for the ad anywhere in this code; this is taken care of through the usage of clickTAG.
    The code, provided by google for ActionScript 3:
    import flash.events.MouseEvent;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    someButton_or_displayObject_to_receive_mouseClick.addEventListener(
       MouseEvent.CLICK,
       function(event: MouseEvent) : void {
         flash.net.navigateToURL(new URLRequest( root.loaderInfo.parameters.clickTAG), "_blank");
    The blue text replaced with your instance name. Make sure that every instance of the button has the name.
    How it's done:
    Find the animation symbol your button is sitting in and go inside.
    Click on the button once.
    See "Properties" (it's a tab next to "Library" for me).
    Where it says <Instance Name> - write a name you like.
    Make a new layer if there isn't one already for code. There probably is for the loop code beforehand.
    Click F9 while on the first frame where the button appears.
    Paste the above code.
    Replace the blue text with the name you wrote.
    And finally:
    Publish.
    Upload to Google Adwords to check if it bloody works.
    PROFIT.
    If you think I got anything wrong, or you know a better way, let me know, this is all by trial and error, forum reading and a lot of frustration.

    that is not the correct AS 3.0 ClickTAG function. Please use this instead.
    //CLICK TAG
    function handleClick(mouseEvent:MouseEvent):void {
        var interactiveObject:InteractiveObject = mouseEvent.target as InteractiveObject;
        var li:LoaderInfo = LoaderInfo(interactiveObject.root.loaderInfo);
        var url:String = li.parameters.clickTag;
        if (url) {
            if (ExternalInterface.available) {
                var userAgent:String = ExternalInterface.call('function(){ return navigator.userAgent; }');
                if (userAgent.indexOf("MSIE") >= 0) {
                    ExternalInterface.call('window.open', url, '_blank');
                } else {
                    navigateToURL(new URLRequest(url), '_blank');
            } else {
                navigateToURL(new URLRequest(url), '_blank');
    clickTag_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,handleClick);
    As well Google accepts up to Flash Player 11.2 as of Dec 2014.

  • Exporting SWF Images in Flash CC

    I'm running Flash CC and have been trying to export a swf image file just under 40kb. Swf is the accepted file format for an online ad campaign and I'm struggling finding the best way to combine quality and file size. The image is static. If I could use a png or jpg I would...
    Flash keeps exporting files sized at 9kb and they are horrible quality. Any advice on how to change the export settings in Flash to improve the image quality and maximise my 40kb limit would be greatly appreciated.
    I tried exporting the image through InDesign and the smallest file size I could get was 130kb with decent quality after exporting as a jpg and re-exporting. Unfortunately lowering the quality of the jpg only helped lower it from 250kb to 130kb... Not quite enough... Suggestions on exporting smaller swf files via InDesign would be greatly appreciated (though I think I have maximised the settings).
    I have read tutorials and googled for hours. Any suggestion is welcome at this stage!

    edit your image in photoshop and experiment with various settings/size.  there's no magic high quality small file size setting.
    it's a trade-off.  the higher the quality and the greater the image dimensions, the greater the file size.  you have to decide where those are acceptable.

  • Exporting file for Flash Catalyst use?

    Hey everyone.  I've made a video in Flash Pro, and I want to be able to play it in Flash Catalyst.  I'm using 5.5 of both versions, btw.  I export the Flash Pro video to a .mov file and then use Media Encoder to make that a .flv file.  I bring that file into FC and publish to web.  However, when I put those 'deploy to web' files on my website, the video doesn't play.  Everything else works except for the video.  So I put a generic, short .flv file that I downloaded from the internet into my FC file.  I published it to my website again, and everything worked fine.  The video played.  So obviously the problem with my video must be in the encoding process.
    How should I do this?  I read one article online that said when I export a .mov file for FC, I should make sure that I don't have 'Fast - Compressed Header' selected in the Streaming options.  Well, I checked and I don't.  It's just under regular 'Fast'.  So what am I doing wrong here?  I've even tried converting my .mov file to a f4v file, and that doesn't work.  Help here would be so greatly appreciated.

    Ah.  I think they just tested the .html file.  Though, they were trying nearly everything yesterday, so they might have tried the swf file, too.  I'll ask him this afternoon.  There's a webpage included in both deploy-to-web and run-local folders.  Both are entitled main.html.  I'm looking at both codes in Dreamweaver to see what would be different, how the code is calling to the flv video, and I can't see any change!  I switch from one code view to the other, and nothing is different.  The only difference is that in the video size area, the html file from the run-local folder is bigger.  So obviously something more was put into the run-local html file, but what I don't know.  I can't figure that out from the code.  Here's the code from the run-local file, though it looks the same in the deploy-to-web html file, too.

  • Flash for Google engine

    1)
    Is it possible to create SWF which content would be reachable
    for Google
    search engine(robot)?
    I can use Meta Keywords in my HTML page of course. But there
    is not enough
    space for all the information, and if I, for example, have a
    news archive in
    my swf, I want Google to cache them too.
    2)
    Google Analytics report shows how many visitors were watching
    each page
    (News page, Products page, etc.) - all pages are HTML, of
    course.
    But how to get the same Analysis, if there is only one HTML
    page with a
    home.swf file in it?
    ..and this home.swf has many sections (news page, products
    page, etc.)
    Thanks in advance,
    B.

    Hi Sean,
    Thanks for the reply. Yes, I understand that the main purpose of Stratus is the inter-client communication, not the client-server. And for the server-to-client push, I've using many solutions include blazeds, sockets, comet and etc, and those should be the better than RTMFP.
    Maybe I should have explained the background more: I'm using Google App Engine as the server and it does not allow us to use the ordinally push technics like blazeds messaging, sockets and comet for the following reasons.
    - App Engine counts the time required for HTTP request processing and billing against it. It will be so expensive to use long polling or comet on it.
    - App Engine do not allow us to open a socket listner.
    - App Engine provides XMPP client feature as an only mean of realtime push, but it seems nobody has been successful on connecting AS3 client with App Engine XMPP client via various XMPP servers (like GTalk and ejabberd.org) because of incompatibility problems. I've tested three different AS3 XMPP libraries.
    - I just don't like the polling - it's not quick.
    Now I have to use an EC2 instance just for running a socket relay server to distribute realtime messages to the Flash client, while all the other application codes resides in the App Engine. I've looking for a way to support the realtime messaging by the App Engine alone. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Kaz

  • What html for googling flash

  • Exporting swf as flv for a multi-part demo

    I am looking for a way to export and create a flv version of
    a demo I just completed. The current swf demo pulls in several
    different swf files at different points during the demo. Is there a
    way to export the complete demo as a flv file?

    Hi,
    I do not know if there is easier way, but I suggest you can
    collect all the demo in one file and export it to AVI or QT format
    and convert it to FLV using the Flash FLV exported that comes with
    Flash 8.
    Hope you cna find an easier way

  • Exporting Display Banners for Google Ad Network

    I'm attempting to export display banners for the Google Ad Network, but Google will only allow Flash versions 4-10.1.  Minimum export option for Flash Pro CC is 10.3.  Surely someone has encountered and developed a workaround.  Right?

    That makes it easy enough . I had to edit out the personal info, you don't want the spiders to index your number and end up in the mega spam network db.
    I wanted to check Flash CC out anyhow despite I spend 99% of my time in Flash Builder and just wanted to verify you can use 10.1 with it. Using the code above I was able to generate errors because StageVideo was introduced in 10.2.
    Exporting Flash CC 64bit as FP10.1:
    Exporting as 10.3 where StageVideo exists:
    I'm running this on Desktop so no StageVideo exists for my graphics setup (Radeon HD6870).

  • Flash export SWF 23.98fps imports in AE as 23.97fps

    Hello
    I have a problem where I export an animation from Flash CS6 as a 1080 SWF 23.98 fps, and import it into AE CS6 as 23.98, however it reads it as 23.97fps and after interpret the footage into 23.98 it adds an extra frame to the beginning of the shot and removes one from the end.
    I am now exporting PNG sequences from Flash however this is not ideal and removes the benefits of the vector images SWF provides.
    Any help would be extremely appreciated.
    I am quite new to both programmes, as well as this community, and am probably ill informed as to how they all work, and I realise I may of not supplied all the information required for anyone to answer the question, which I apologise for in advance if this is the case.
    Thanks

    I have found a work around where by adding two frames onto the end of the swf and then trimming both the first and the last frame, I have a swf at 23.98 that plays the sameish as 23.97
    @Szalam
    I am not sure, I am working to an animatic that is 23.976fps which is probably the route of all my problems. I just know that my 23.98fps SWFs are adding 0.04 frames every single shot, accumulating in about 6 frames a the end of the 2.5 min animation.
    I don't think there is a solution because flash cannot export at 23.98 and the animators have already done half the shots.

  • Design skin with catalyst for flash encore export ?

    Hello,
    How is it possible to redesign and animate default encore export flash skin (flashDVD.swf during video playback) with Catalyst ?
    What are  files we have to change in encore roots folder (xlm,html,swf) to insert new design and interactiv skin during video playback?
    My project is to design my own animated skin for flash export in encore cs4.
    For the moment in encore we only have this skin: flashdvd.swf (see attached file) when we export our project for flash.
    This skin looks like dvd interactive panel, but i would like to add new interactiv button, a way to change loading video position.
    I didn't find any informations about that in encore's documentations and it seems to me an very important creativ part.
    Thanks a lot and sorry for my english,
    Rudo_fr

    Hi Rudo_fr,
    I think this might be a question for the Encore forums. I'm not familiar with Encore. Here's what I can tell you: at the end of the day, Catalyst creates a SWF file (just like Flash Professonal and Flash Builder). If you can then get Encore to use that SWF file as the video player skin, you should be golden. So I would recommend going to the Encore forums and asking: how do I use an arbitrary SWF as my video player skin?

  • How do I report a bug against Flash Player for Google Chrome?

    Flash Player for Google Chrome is currently developed jointly between Adobe and Google.  Because of this relationship, we would like to encourage users that are encountering issues with Chrome's Flash Player to report bugs directly to the Chromium database.  You can do this by filling out the following form:
    New Chromium bug report
    Please include the following details:
    Operating System
    Chrome version
    Flash Player version
    URL where problem was encountered
    Steps to reproduce
    Other browsers tested
    Crash ID if applicable (visit "about:flash" in Chrome to find the appropriate crash ID.)
    If you are running into a video or 3D related bug, please navigate to "about:gpu", save and attach this information to your bug report
    Once added, please create a new forum thread (or bug report at bugbase.adobe.com) with your Chromium bug URL/number so we can follow up internally.
    Please be aware that Chrome Windows now includes a new, more secure, plugin platform for Flash Player (PPAPI).  When troubleshooting your problem, we recommend testing against the older NPAPI version of Flash Player.  Steps detailing this process can be found here:  Enable system Flash Player in Google Chrome | Windows | Mac
    Finally, you might also consider testing your issue out against the Chrome beta and Canary (alpha) builds to see if the problem has been resolved.

    Hi Ellen,
    Hope you are doing good.
    The best option would be to raise a OSS incident in the component: CA-VE-VEV or CA-VE-CAD so that my colleagues can actually investigate this further and release a bug patch if needed.
    Thank you!
