Flash CC freezing! Help!!
Why does my Flash CC continue to freeze when I'm drawing for animation?? Please Help!
Hi,
Which version of Flash Pro are you using? And as Kglad mentioned if you are using a tablet,then make sure tablets drivers are up to date.After updation system reboot is required.If you are not using tablet and if there is any other detail to be considered please do share.It would be great if you could attach a video demonstrating the issue.

Some flash videos freeze for ½ second every 10-12 seconds. This started a few weeks ago, maybe after FF update. There are many posts on this subject in various forums, the best I found is this locked thread:

I use Flash 11.9.900.117 and Firefox 25.
Things that did NOT help:
* disabling hardware acceleration (restarted FF)
* restarting FF without plugins
* reverting to Flash 11.7
* disabling plugin container (setting environmental variable to 1)
I don't have this problem in IE. I haven't updated IE in a while so it uses Flash 11.5. A fix for watching flash videos in FF for me is using IEtab.
There is no problem with e g youtube, just some on-demand video sites.My problem with FF 25 and Flash 11.9 would rear it's head while listening to NPR news on their player. Frequent freezing and inability to get it going again. What worked for me was to uninstall Flash[I went to Adobe.com and got their uninstall Flash app, rather than rely on Windows uninstall]. While at Adobe, search for Flash 11.7 and download. From what I've read elsewhere, 11.7 includes the latest security patches. Be sure to uncheck the McAfee download, and check to be notified of updates, rather than have them happen automatically.

Flash Player freezes on 2nd monitor while playing fullscreen game on 1st one
Flash Player freezes (shows something like slideshow with frame rate near 1-2 per sec, everything is ok with sound) on 2nd monitor while playing fullscreen game on 1st one.
Windows 8, flash player 12, chrome.
Tried to use other versions of flashplaers, other browsers - didnt help me.
SOLVED: my computer for some reason didnt want to download updates. that was the reason of this problem.

PhilipOk, Have just finished re-starting comp and have installed 10.3 & much to my suprise the games on Kongregat and Facebook are working. Have also, just to be safe checked the Firefox plug-in to make sure it was running the correct plug-in

Adobe flash player freezes constantly

my flash player has been constantly freezes whenever i start using it. Sometimes it freeze after 20 mins, sometimes an hour or so. I have tried FAQ already and tried google chrome, firefox and IE but all of them freezes when it comes to flash player.

This all started when I updated to version 16.0.0.305. When I downgrade to version 16.0.0.296, the problem is resolved. However 16.0.0.305 is a bug fix that patches a critical zero day exploit, so I do not want to stick with it for very long.
I hope this is a known issue and Adobe will be releasing a patch for it soon.

Flash Player Freezes While Buffering Then Won't Proceed Even After Computer Restart
I am having frequent problems with Flash Player freezing while watching Korean dramas hosted online (http://www.mysoju.com/empress-chun-chu/). Flash Player freezes while viewing file and then won't proceed past that point even if I close all browser windows and even if I restart my computer. Sometimes I can get around this by saving the file to my hard drive using Real Player "download this video" button. However, the download often freezes at what appears to be the same point as the freeze in the streaming Flash Player. Even if I delete this partial file from my hard drive, repeated efforts to download the file again result in instantaneous file completed messages with a new incomplete (partial) file of exactly the same size as before. I can't find where Flash Player or MS Windows Vista is storing the partial download files. Any help would be greatly aprreciated.

To start, I'm a total newbie in Flash, so I'm sorry if what I'm asking is ridiculously primitive, but I was literally thrown into this blindfolded and I'm using google and several forums to help me out.
What I'm doing: redesigning a website. At the moment, the website has a flash file that introduces it's logo and subcategories of its' website on the top of the page. What I wanted to do was make sure there was a hyperlink on the logo that would bring anyone back to the homepage, very basic stuff. The issue I have run into is that the logo is actually a flash movie. Different parts of the logo appear at different times, and I think this is what is specifically causing me issues.
The logo that I want to hyperlink has several layers, and what I've done so far is select them all and create a button (F8, select 'Button' and rename it). When I did that, I noticed the layers significantly changed and when I tested the movie, it looks terrible, choppy and not how it originally looked.
I know the step after that is to go into behaviors and insert the url to which I want it to be hyperlinked. The only thing is that I don't want to show a terrible flash movie to my boss even if it's hyperlinked to the homepage.
Anyone understand all that gibberish I wrote down? Or does anyone see a flaw in what I'm doing? I'm not 100% positive if the steps I'm taking are correct, I've been to several different sites, all of which tell me to do different things.
Initially I tried coding it with ActionScript, but I was having terrible issues with that as well.
If it helps, the file I'm working on was altered a while back. Could it be that the file is not compatible or proper for Flash CS5?

Since it is a button, it is already a self animating object that will react to mouse interactions, but only visually at this stage. The first thing you need to do to make it useful code-wise is to assign it a unique instance name. So you drag a copy of it out to the stage from the library, and while it's still selected, you enter that unique instance name for it in the Properties panel... let's say you name it "btn1"
In AS3, to make a button work with code, you need to add an event listener and event handler function for it. You might need to add a few (for different events, like rollover, rollout, clicking it, but for now we'll just say you want to be able to click it to get a web page to open. In the timeline that holds that button, in a separate actions layer that you create, in a frame numbered the same as where that button exists, you would add the event listener:

The name of the unique function for processing the clicking of that button is specified at the end of the event listener assignment, so now you just have to write that function out:

If you can't see it when you test the file and you know it's there and your cursor turns into a hand when you are over where it should be, it's invisible.

Select Edit -> Edit Document to get out of the symbol editing mode and back to the file editing mode. If you doubleclick an object on the stage, rather than clickingit in the library, you open it up in editing mode on the stage, but the stage and everything else will still be visible behind it in a faded tone. -

Apple dropped playback support for .swf formats in QuickTime almost ten years ago.
Adobe Flash Player is the only way to view them. -

If you downloaded it, it's likely in your Downloads folder as a Disk Image .dmg. Just open it and intall Flash player and restart your browser. Everything should work.

In FB 4.5, if you go to the Data Services view, and then right click on the data service (WSDL) you connected to, there is an option there to refresh the WSDL. It works very well for me.

I am sorry to hear you are having problems logging in. I just tested this function on Safari and Chrome and had no problem. Can you tell me about the systems that are experincing the problem. What OS? What Broswer? What version of Flash is installed? Are the systems individually managed or managed by a central IT group?

I have followed all the steps on the site,, My webcam works on other programs, ie: yahoo, aol, skype. The crash issue I'm having is, When I turn on my webcam through Firfox - adobe, The webcam goes on, sometimes for only a second, sometimes for a min, so I know it works, but then every time, all the time it crashes, Every time, on different sites, Again I followed all the steps, including, uninstalling, and using 10., and then 11.2 and back to where i started with 11.3.

Firefox 21 causing flash to freeze every 10 seconds
Two days ago, I updated Firefox to version 21. Now, YouTube and all Flash videos freeze after 12 seconds of play. If i move the video frame one second, it plays for another 12 seconds and freezes again at second 24 frame and so on freezing every 12 seconds. I have updated Flash, but this didn't change anything. Also, no sound on videos. This only started right after i updated to Firefox 21. Now , I can't figure out how to go back to Firefox 20 and I can't watch videos.

Why does my Mac begin to flash then freeze after start up?
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
