Flash CC keyboard shortcuts for test/debug movie not working

My keyboard shortcuts all work exept for the various test / debug options, like debug on device,test on desktop. None of these options work.
I tried different keys combinations, so it's not the problem.
I'm tired of going trough the menu + submenu each time because I frequently switch (desktop is faster for quick testing).
I mean, I do this a hundred times a day. Please check this! thanks.

Flash CC, Win7 64bit, I use sublime text, nothing else is running...
Absolutly nothing is happening if I try.
Correction: ctrl+enter has been successfully assigned (I see the text in the menu) and is recongnize for "test movie ...air debug desktop"
Others don't appear in the sub-sub-menu for testing or debugging over usb.
I've assigned them to ctrl+alt+enter/return and ctrl-shift-enter/return. (I've tried other keys as well...)
So it appear the problem is with test/debug USB...
EDIT: Just to be clear, I try to set custom shortcuts, to avoid the default behaviour (one shortcut to launch the last choice). this weird behaviour is probably the cause of the problem in the first place.

Keyboard shortcut for star shape does not work - arrow keys

I need to use the star shape to make a sort of badge with many points.
In the past, I've used the star shape and held up arrow or down arrow to change the number of points on the star. This no longer works for me in Adobe Illustrator CS4 (on a Windows Vista). Did this shortcut change? All my other keyboard shortcuts work. I tried resetting the preference file for Illustrator just in case, but it didn't fix it.

I have found a work-around for this problem, although it's a bit annoying.
I have a Wacom Bamboo tablet and encountered the same problem with establishing the number of points on a star. I tried everything and noticed it worked sometimes. Well, turns out that it will work only once after changing the settings for your pen. I just moved the tip feel setting leaving the pen tablet properties window open, went to illustrator and the arrow keys worked. If you try drawing the shape again, it won't work. You have to go back to the pen tablet properties window and move or change something, go back to illustrator and it works again. It's a little annoying, but if you're used to using the arrow keys to create shapes, it's handy to know it's there.

Keyboard shortcuts to Dashboard, Application Switch not working

I think other people are having a related version of this problem! After a certain period of time after starting or restarting the computer (perhaps whenafter the computer goes to sleep?) the keyboard shortcuts for Tiger, F9, F10, F11, and F12 don't work, and neither does Cmd + Tab to switch between applications. What is going on?

I've not a solution, but for what it's worth I have a TiPB, a MacBook Pro, and two Quicksilvers running Tiger and have not experienced your problem. Not to suggest the problem doesn't exist, but perhaps it's related to something specific with your computer. You might try booting into safe mode to see if the problem ceases. If it does, then it's related to something safe mode disables. Another thing you can try is to create a new test user, then log out of your normal account and log into the test account. If the problem disappears, then it may be related to a bad preference file or something running in you normal account that isn't in the test account. It could also be a problem related to a corrupted cache file. Use one of the several utilities around for cleaning cache files.
If none of the above are successful, consider doing an Archive and Install to reinstall a fresh copy of Tiger.

Global keyboard shortcuts (Exposé, Spotlight, etc.) not working

I've run into an odd problem with my computer--sometime around or after I upgraded to 10.4.8, my global keyboard shortcuts have just flat-out stopped working. I noticed this quickly because I use LaunchBar and it stopped activating when I hit its keyboard shortcut...I noticed the same thing happened with Spotlight, and later, Exposé--when I hit their keyboard shortcuts, nothing happens. Even if I change the shortcut to a new key and hit the new key, nothing happens.
I have tried removing Launchbar completely in case it did something to mess things up (no luck) and have completely reapplied the 10.4.8 combo updater, as well as repair permissions. None of these things have helped?
Any ideas? I'm stumped on this one.

MadFax7 on the Ambrosia Software forums helped me out here (I posted this same post over there as well: http://www.ambrosiasw.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=107371)--he thought (correctly) that it sounded like a preference problem. I discovered the preference through a handy bit of Spotlighting--after deleting com.apple.universalaccess.plist and restarting, all my keyboard shortcuts reset to their defaults and started working again--I'm replying with the answer I found just in case someone else runs into the same problem or just wants to reset all their keybindings.

Creating a keyboard shortcut for a director movie button

Hi, I am relatively new to director,
I have created a director movie which I currently control
with a number of onscreen buttons. Each button runs several
different behaviours when the button is pressed. I was wanting to
know if there was a simple script I could create, that would map a
keyboard shortcut key to some of these buttons. For example, if I
pressed the "a" key, it would call mouseDown(The sprite number of
the button associated with the "a" key). without me actually moving
the mouse into the button or clicking on it.

You could try playing with 'the keyDownScript' or 'the
keyUpScript'.
For example:

Keyboard shortcut for Sub Menu item Only works AFTER using it

I have a Custom MOVE TO READ Mailbox shortcut. This is a SUB Menu item.. MESSAGE/Move To/READ FOLDER.
It is really sweet to clear out my INBOX and save emails.
So, what is ODD is that that menu has to be Clicked on and shown each time MAIL is run for that keyboard shortcut to work.
I find that Odd and would love to have it work without having to "train" it everyday.

T500 ThinkVantage Keyboard shortcuts (Fn+F2,F3..) not working in windows 7

I just installed windows 7 onto my T500, and noticed that the thinkvantage keyboard shortcut will not work.
After fresh install of windows and the thinkvantage, they will work for about 1-2 hours. but after some time, all fn+f2,f3,f5 etc will not bring up the thinkvantage feature, like access connection or turn on/off wireless/bluetooth.
Does anyone have the same on their machine?
Already installed the system for more than 3 times, but the problem presisted, and would only work for about 1 to 2 hours after each fresh install...

I'm a bit unclear on the exact scope of the issue you are describing. Is it affecting just selected keyboard shortcuts, or all keyboard shortcuts? You may want to see if any keyboard shortcut conflicts are showing, as noted in the following article:

Keyboard Shortcut to Select Next Tab not working

Somewhat similar to this issue (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=11414081#11414081), the keyboard shortcut to select the previous / next tab in Safari isn't working in (my) 10.6.3. What is it with this system, or what fundamental thing am I missing, that these different key shortcuts aren't working?

Process validation for test case is not working

I' am using SQL Developer EAR 3.0.02.83. The is a test case defined which uses "Query returns rows" with Select count(*) from dual;
It should return a row an that way fulfill the test.
but when running the testcase I get the result ERROR due to:
Query returns rows not succesful: null
How can I find the reason? Is this a bug?
Even other types of validation do not work, they always give null and the overall result ERROR.

I need to ckeck the results of the function, but not to compare them with fixed values, rather something like {VALUE$} LIKE 'x%Y'.
I'am afraid there is no solution.

Windows Alt shortcut for Rectangular Marque is not working on CS6

I'm using windows CS6 and was trying to shrink the selection around an object with a solid background. I selected the object using the rectangular marque and then held down the alt key and clicked inside the selection on the solid background. Nothing happened. This used to work on my older CS2 version. What's up? Did they change the shortcut?

Maybe your were doing something like ths:
1. Make the selection with the rectangular marquee tool as you described
2. Switch to the Magic Wand Tool
3. Hold down the Alt (Option) key and click on the background color within the selection
The Magic Wand Tolerance value can affect the selection

Keyboard shortcuts for text selection not working in Flash CC

In the new Code Editor in Flash CC running on Mac OS X, most standard Keyboard Shortcuts for traversing through the text work as expected (as the Operating System works globally) but there is one that doesn't and it's I think the most important one.
Hitting "OPTION + SHIFT + [right or left arrow keys]" to select words doesn't work. Hitting "OPTION + [right or left arrow keys]" works as expected, moving the cursor to the next word or break point, but adding shift doesn't do the selection.
I don't understand why this changed since it's a basic OS global shortcuts, and every other program behaves the way it should. Flash CS6 running on the same system behaves fine, but Flash CC doesn't. If you have ever written code, you know that any second that a programmers hand doesn't have to leave the keyboard to search for the mouse is invaluable, and this has forced me to stop using Flash CC and use Flash CS6 to edit my Action Script classes becuase it's unusable otherwise.
These shortcuts are also not listed in the keyboard shortcuts for the program, so I can't change the default behavior. Does anybody know if there's a way to set it back to the way it was before, or just disable special text shortcuts so that selecting text behaves like any other application in the operating system?

Amy~ Yep the lasso tool was what I verified with another user. 'L' seems to be bound indefinitely to loop through different types of lasso tools and it was annoying them because they just wanted L to be the regular freehand lasso. I removed 'L' from being an option on the polygon lasso and even set it explicitly to SHIFT+L as well as set the lasso tool to a completely different keyboard combo. 'L' still cycled through lassos haha. It needs some fixes.

Yeah. sorry. those are not correct. ctrl N + P are for home and end line shortcuts. Ctrl V does go down one line. But CTRL arrow up or down do not work in Safari. But thank you very much for the attention and the time...
Note from my first post above -- I did not say to use CTRL arrow in Safari:

Scroll down a line: down arrow

Note from my second post above and from the first link I gave that Control N, P, and V worked for me in Pages as described in the link and in my post:
The link to shortcuts that I gave abaove includes Control N, P, and V for move down a line, up a line and down a page and those seem to work in Pages.

Keyboard shortcut for Control+F2, F, Enter

I am trying to create a keyboard shortcut that would be available to all Applications deliveres the same result as these keystrokes:
1. Control + F2 (move focus to menu bar)
2. F (moves focus to the File menu bar menu)
3. Enter or down arrow (Displays the File menu)
WHat I am looking to do is create the Windows equivalent of alt+F (displays the contents of the File menu)
I have created a System Preferences Keyboard Shortcut for All Applications that has "File" as the description and ^F has the Shortcut...this doesn't work. Is there a way to assign a shortcut to display the menu bar File menu in its open state?

Here's one approach to try...
1) Open System Preferences > Universal Access and make sure "Enable access for assistive devices" is checked.
2) Highlight and copy the block of code below and paste it into your AppleScript Script Editor (located inside your Applications > AppleScript folder):

*click menu bar item "File" of menu bar 1*

Choose Save As from the Script Editor's File menu, File Format: application, leaving the Options unchecked. Give the script application a name (Display File Menu, e.g.), and press Save.
3) To assign a keyboard shortcut, you might consider downloading and installing the excellent Spark program.
From Spark's File menu, set up a New Hot Key to launch an Application, in this case the application being your newly created AppleScript application. When the new System HotKey sheet drops down, hit the Choose button and navigate to the location where your new AppleScript application was saved. Select it and press Open. Click inside the editable Shortcut field to make it active, and on your keyboard keystroke Option (alt), plus the letter "f." Then press Create.
Start the Spark Daemon by selecting it from the File menu, or by pressing the Stark Spark Daemon button on the Spark panel itself, and then quit Spark altogether. The Spark Daemon and your enabled keyboard shortcut will run as a hidden process, using a minimal amount of RAM.
It worked for me...
