Flash CC Pro - "HD MP4 Export"?

I've been picking bits up here and there saying it's possible to Export/Publish HD MP4 - makes no sense for just vector content, of course.
I can't see HD options in any of the preferences - I suppose they become available when exporting/publishing timeline'd video content?

You can refer to the help article:

Is the problem limited to a specific file that you're exporting?

  • Using Premiere Pro CS3 When exporting as flash file poor picture quality

I'm using Premiere Pro CS3. I shoot green screen in HDV and work in 1440 x 1080. I have been capturing files in Premiere and sending them to Serious Magic Ulta 2. I use this program for keying and adding virtual backgrounds. I save these files as avi. with a resolution of 1440 X 1080. I then bring them back into Premiere Pro for final edit. When I export these video's encoded as mpeg2 theyplay very clear. I am now trying to export as flv. with alpha channel background and the resolution is poor. I working on the transparent background with walk on spokespersons that overlay the HTML page. When In try to play them on my computer the adobe media player is what comes up. I have downloaded flash player but it doesn't select it to play the video. I'm running windows Vista Business platform. What am I doing wrong.

    Thanks for the reply.
The capture and editing have already been done in 1440 X 1080. Should I use this resolution rather than trying to bump it up to 1920 X 1080.
    Thanks

Computer playback generally prefers square pixels.  Make sure to set your output resolution to 1920 x 1080 using a Pixel Aspect Ratio (PAR) of 1.0 or Square.
    See if that helps.

  • Flash Pro CC - missing export feature & dropshadows

    Hi everyone,
recently started a new job and received Cloud membership for all new Adobe products.
I primarily use Flash to create visuals for exporting as png's or into illustrator. I still haven't found a drawing tool for sequential imagery or UI guides that suits me better. So... two annoyances I've noticed straight off :-
-Can anyone give me a workaround to the missing ability to export images as an fxg
-why I can't change the angle or distance on Dropshadows now? Otherwise I'll have to find someway to go back to Flash 5.5.
    Thanks!

    Thanks - I'll try that.
As for your own question. Simply put, illustrator just doesn't have the layers, timeline and animation features I use for all my complex UI layouts, states and interactive multimedia. I also find it a bit clunky and unintuitive in comparison to Flash for Vector drawing.
If I was doing one state vector illustrations for print...perhaps. I need to do a lot more than that.
Shame about the fxg though. It was the best way to export to illustrator for print AND multimedia.

  • Is the MP4 export in Premiere CS6 better than in CS3 ?

I am thinking of upgrading from CS3 to CS6 Premiere Pro.
The CS3 exporting MP4 is not that good, and I actually find Sony Vegas does a better job.  Is the Premiere Pro export in CS6 better than in CS3?
Also, are there any issues importing CS3 projects into CS6  ?

    I upgraded from CS3 to CS6.
The H.264 (MP4) exports are so much better it is amazing. There used to be tutorials on how to get good YouTube videos. Now we just export to a YouTube (or Vimeo) preset in HD and it shows up darn near perfect.
I can import CS3 projects into CS6 without a problem.

  • Flash CS3 Pro

I just started using flash to import some movies to make my
movies smaller by exporting to a flash movie. I'm no pro with
video. I"m just doing this as a hobbie when I'm away from work.
I just installed Flash CS3 Pro mac and here is the problem
I'm encountering. After importing my video from another file format
I make whatever necessary edits while in flash I then export to a
.swf but only my local machine can play the swf file. I see two
options under exporting options for flash 1) is local files only
and 2) network access only. Can someone please shed some light on
    the issue?
I copied the files over to my pc and the PC will not play the
flash movie. I uploaded them to my servers on the web and they
cannot play the movies either. I'm lost at this point.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!
    T

How did you import the video? Did you embed in in the
timeline or create an FLV which loads as an external file? If you
did the latter, you'll need to include the FLV file in addition to
    the SWF.
Here are some great tutorials on Flash video:

  • PP CS5.5 FLV To MP4 Export Issues / Problems

I just upgraded from Production Premium CS5 to CS5.5. I do a fair amount of converting/exporting of imported FLV files (downloaded from internet news sites) to H.264/AAC w/ MP4 wrappers using Premiere Pro (PP) and Adobe Media Encoder (AME). My equipment is a 1+ yr. old HP Win 7 Pro w/ an Intel i970 Quadcore, 12 Gb RAM and MSI nVidia GTX 470 GPU. I have never experienced any queue or export issues w/ CS5 (at least that I noticed), but I am experiencing noticeably degraded queue export and direct export problems with these files in CS5.5.
Description: (1) The queue export times for the exact same imported FLV clip(s) using the exact same sequence settings and H.264/MP4 export settings are noticeably slower in CS5.5 (sometimes 2x, depending on the export settings, e.g. using maximum render quality) than in CS5; (2) My MSI Afterburner GPU monitoring software indicates 5-10% GPU usage during queue/export in CS5, while indicating 0% GPU usage (flatline) in CS5.5; and (3) When I attempt to direct export these files using CS5.5 I get the following error message: "The source and output audio channels are not compatible or a conversion does not exist."
I suspect that it may have something to do with "conforming" anomalies when the FLV file is imported into PP, but I would put that squarely in the category of rank speculation on my part.
Has anyone experienced the same or similar problems or have any insight into what may be the problem(s)? Of course, thanks for any help/insight you can provide.
    Jim

What do you mean by a better routine?
A better compression routine than H.264.
Is the quality better than H.264?
    Yes.
Does this use an MOV wrapper?
    Yes.
Also, would it import correctly into PPro?
    Yes.
we would import files into PPro exported out of FCP and would get a red pixelated glitch during preview and export. Does this codec solve this problem as well if it is an MOV wrapper?
I don't know anything about FCP.
Sorry for all the questions, just want to get things right before diving into a new codec.
    It's harmless, and free.
Download it and run some tests.

  • Flash 8 Pro V. Sorenson Squeeze.

    Hi guys,
I have searched on previous forums for exporting a 4 minute film for the web (.flv) I am a bit confused as some rcommend Sorenson and others Flash 8 Pro. Can anyone tell me what will produce the best quality output?
Like others - I have seen some superb looking results on the web, and want to achieve the same quality.
    Thanks
    Stephen

Flash 8 offers the On2 VP6 Codec which is there latest for compressing video, it even allows the use of alpha channels. If you have Flash 8 you can export to an .flv file out of Final Cut using the Quicktime conversion. You will see a flv option. You can also export from Quicktime itself. The only draw back to this way is that it is a single pass and although you can customize your compressions I don't think you can save them (or at least I haven't figured out how to yet) to use again with having to re-enter the set-up every time.
Sorenson Squeeze is a great compression program but if you wish to use the On2 VP6 codec you will have to buy it as a separate plug-in. Otherwise you will have to use the Spark Pro codec. Now the nice thing about Squeeze is that it does 2 pass for better looking compression and can save your custom settings.
Mostly I use the Flash 8 to make the On2 VP6 files for a quick client review if they are not here in the edit. I use Flash because it is in just about every browser in use today, this way clients don't have to download anything to be able to view the work.
To tell you the truth I have gotten some nice looking web video playing around with the On2 VP6 settings, but the best looking compressions I have done have come using the h.264 codec, it may be a bit bigger file size but sometimes it is worth the extra bandwidth.
    Good Luck
    Rich

  • MP4 export

Hello I have a client that can't install QuickTime. They have asked me to re send them video work we have done for them as an MP3 or MP4, is this possible in Premier Pro.
    Thank you

MP3 is sound only (as far as I know) but MP4 export is certainly possible

  • Going from Flash to .mov to MP4

Hey everyone.  I'm using Flash CS4 on a Mac and I'm wanting to get my Flash file into an MP4 format for Articulate Presenter.  What I've tried doing is exporting my Flash file as a .mov file and then taking that file into iMovie 8 and converting it to MP4.  Works great except... my MP4 is bigger than my original swf.  I was told that MP4s are smaller than swfs, but not in this case.  I'm not doing any compressing when I'm making my .mov file in Flash.  If I compress at all, the quality is horrible.  So I do 'None' compression at highest settings.  That's the only way I can get a good-quality video.  But still, I would think that making that into a MP4 should be smaller than a swf file.
Can anyone help me, here, please?  I'd really appreciate it.  How am I supposed to get my Flash file to an MP4 H.264?

    Does anybody have some suggestions?

  • Flash 8 Pro Keeps Crashing My Mac

Almost every day I have a total freeze crash of my eMac (OS
10.3.9) while working in Flash 8 Pro. (Sometimes mouse will
continue to move, though uselessly, sometimes not even that.) Can't
even do a keyboard force quit of Flash. Only recourse is to power
    down.
I have recently done Disk Utility repairs, Disk Warrior
re-directory repairs, and ran TechTool, which could find no fault
with Mac. Problem still kept occuring. So I did an Archive and
Install on the Mac. But the problem keeps reoccuring.
Has anyone on Mac had similar similar problems? (I did
searches--here and generally on web with Google--nuthin'.)
    Thanks for any feedback.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
In the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports for crash reports related to the crashed process. The report name starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents — again, the text, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report — they're very long and not helpful.

This is not a message that Adobe is providing, and I recommend that you not click on the link. It sounds as though you might have malware on your computer.

Subscription Acrobat Pro DC, Adobe Export PDF, Adobe PDF Pack.
How can I activate the need of licens?
The reason can be Adobe policy, I have change computer, added products, stop using any product and so on.

    Hans,
When you no longer need the Adobe software on a computer or you wish to move it to another one, you should deactivate the software.
See this link: how to deactivate software. Installation rules will let you install the software on two computers of the same platform (both windows or both mac) but you are limited to running it on only one at a time. If you have only installed it once, you should be able to install it on the other computer. If you have already installed the software twice and you don't have access to your previous computer or you upgraded your computer's hardware, replace a hard drive, upgraded your operating system, or reformatted your drive before deactivating your software, you can ask Adobe Support to help you deactivate the software from the machine. Just have your serial number or Adobe ID ready, and then contact support. Then you can install the software from the links below and enter your serial number to re-activate the software.
If you need to find your serial number, sign in to your Adobe account. On the Manage Accounts page that appears, all of your registered products and their serial numbers are listed in the Plans & Products section. For more information on locating serial numbers, or on registering a serial number, please see Find a serial number.

  • Flash 8 pro hangs

I just purchased Flash 8 pro for home after using MX at work.
When I try to select anything in 8; change preferences, publish
settings, color mixer, anything.. it just stalls for minutes. The
file I am creating was started in MX and works great in MX, but
would like to use the new features in 8, but it is not useable
because of the lag! The simplest functions hangs the program.
    I am using Mac OS X 10.39 on a G5 dual 1.8 with 1.5g of RAM.
    What is going on?

Firefox on Windows is 32-bit. From what I've heard, 64-bit Flash recently took some architectural changes which may have impacted some compatibility with 32-bit browsers.
You can download an '''experimental''' 64-bit (English only) version of Firefox from [http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/firefox-11.0a1.en-US.win64-x86_64.installer.exe our FTP site].
Note: This is a "nightly" which means that you'll get updates every day and it may be a little unstable.
Alternatively, go to adobe.com and download the 32-bit version of Flash. Then, uninstall the 64-bit version and replace with the 32-bit one. (It should work almost identically to the 64-bit version.)
