Flash CC publish to Nexus 4 doesn't work

Hi all,
I'm a newbie when it comes to mobile development, but I have a lot of experience with AIR for desktop.
I have a Google Nexus 4 and cannot get Flash CC to publish to it for a simple test. First I found that Flash CC couldn't find the device at all because it lacked the necessary drivers, and the ones provided with Flash CC were not accepted by Windows 7. I was able to find what seems to be the correct driver (Universal ADB driver) online here: https://plus.google.com/103583939320326217147/posts/BQ5iYJEaaEH
After installing that, Flash CC was able to list my device in the AIR publish settings. I have USB debugging enabled on my Nexus 4, but when I go to publish it just gets to an indertimined progress bar that says "Publishing..." and never completes. If I cancel it, Flash CC freezes and must be killed.
The publish settings I'm using are:
AIR 3.6 for Android
Android deployment type: Debug - Default
AIR runtime: Get AIR runtime from: Google Play (I have AIR installed on the Nexus 4)
After publishing
- Install application on the connected Android device
- - Launch application on the connected Android device
- - - [Presumably my device selected... it's a string of random characters]
On the Nexus 4 I have turned on Developer options > USB debugging, I have it plugged in and on.
Am I missing something?
-Aaron

Meanwhile, could you please try restarting your machine once, just to ensure an in memory older adb is not in use.
So, was a newer driver supposed to be installed by downloading the latest SDK? What driver should be installed?
I simply opened Windows 7 Device Manager and did an 'Update Driver' and 'Search Automatically' and it found an update and installed it, asked me to reboot and next reboot it worked.
I've tried to update the driver automatically and it simply says it's up to date. I've also tried to use the drivers shipped with Flash CC and Windows didn't recognize them as valid drivers at all.
What driver did you initially install?

Lightroom doesn't use the Camera Raw plug-in. All of the Camera Raw technology is part of the Lightroom program. You will either have to upgrade to Lightroom 5 or use the DNG converter to create digital negative copies that can be used with Lightroom 4.

  • Premiere elements 13 will not publish + share. eLive doesn't work.

Made my first video after downloading PE13 late last night. Unfortunately, I cannot publish and share. I click publish + share>computer>avhd. From there I've tried multiple preset options. Upon clicking save, the computer works for several minutes and a green checkmark appears with the words, "save complete!" Your video has been successfully saved. Thing is, when I go to the folder I saved it to and try to view the project, windows media player opens a half window and plays the audio from the movie I just saved.
The other issue is that I cannot upload directly to facebook, or YouTube. I have no options for logging in. When I click through to the screen and select "Authorize" I get a screen that says, "Thank you for authorizing Adobe PE13 to upload to your FB account. Select complete authorization to continue uploading the vid to your fb acct. When I hit "authorize" it comes back with "Error your authentication details could not be verified. Kindly try again. What Am I missing? I am logged into facebook. I even have a screen open in another window.
Could these two probs be related? eLive doesn't work either.

    First..
    1. Have you updated from 13 to the 13.1 Update using an opened project's Help Menu/Update. If not, please do so.
    2. Do the problems exist if you disable the antivirus and firewall(s)?
    3. Are you running the program as Administrator? Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer?
    4. Have you refreshed the Online Services using Premiere Elements Editor Edit Menu/Preferences/Web Sharing?
    5. Have you updated the Adobe Application Manager?
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
6.Is your video card/graphics card driver version up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
    7. Lots more we could go through such as deleting the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and, if necessary, the whole
13.0 Folder in which it exists.
But, I think that you have enough things going on here to warrant an uninstall, free ccleaner run through (regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts) and then reinstall with the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.

If the problems persist after all that then we will adjust to additional troubleshooting maneuvers.
Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thank you.

  • Win 7 / FF 13 - Flash 11.3.300.257 doesn't work

    OS: Win 7 64bit
    Browser: Firefox 13
    Flash Player: 11.3.300.257
Since updating to the above Flash Player version, flash isn't working anymore, which simply means, nothing related to flash is working if using Firefox. Flash is still working with Chrome and IE 9.
Flash 11.3.300.257 is also working with Win XP / Firefox 13.
I've deinstalled and reinstalled twice, but it didn't help. As far as I can see there are other people having trouble with this lastest Flash version in Firefox.
Is it possible to get the previous Flash Player version which was running with Win 7 64bit / Firefox 13? Would be great because I guess it'll take a while until this problem gets solved.

This issue is caused by an incompatibility between Flash Player on Firefox and the RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin for Firefox.  Disabling the RealPlayer plug-in will resolve the issue for you.
There's more detail over in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4486789#4486789
To disable the Real Player Browser Record functionality while maintaining the enhanced security provided by Flash Player with Protected Mode, do the following:
        Exit Firefox
        Launch RealPlayer
Click the RealPlayer icon in the upper-left corner of the window, and choose Preferences
Choose Download & Recording from the left-hand menu
Uncheck "Enable Web Download & Recording for these installed browser"
        Click OK

  • Flash's published HTML (+js) won't work in Safari?

I have created a Flash file that consists of nothing but an FLVPlayback control that loads a .flv file. I then use the default publish settings to publish the .swf. The resulting HTML file opens, displays properly, and plays the movie in IE7, FF3.0, and Chrome 2.0. However, when I open it in Safari 3.0.4, I see nothing; just a blank page. Safari has FP10 installed and has no problems displaying Flash content on any other web sites, e.g. iTunes, Apple. Adobe, or YouTube). I don't have IE8 to test on (I installed it and it hosed my whole system, so it's been eradicated).
I am loading the file locally from the file system; I want to make sure it works before I publish it. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not, but I don't see how it could. The AC_RunActiveContent.js script is present and getting loaded (I wish I were right now ).
Has anyone else experienced this or know what the problem might be? I am including the entirety of the HTML content it generated here for reference (I have changed the tag brackets to braces just so it will post here).

Yes, that would be helpful, I know. However, the file isn't being hosted anywhere. It will be e-mailed, I guess, as an e-vite. I just created the Flash file and published swf & html plus a jpeg as a still. Then I sent that to the marketing person...who knows less about this than I do. But for some reason, when she opens the file up in her IE browser, she is getting an older revision of the e-vite that isn't playing correctly. I suspected that she possibly only referenced the new html file and it sourced the old swf file. So when she played it in the browser, she saw the old swf file play. I've asked her to make sure she deletes any old copies and just uses the new html and swf files. Does that sound like a possible solution? I haven't heard back from her yet to see if that solved the issue.

  • I have uninstalled and reinstalled flash player successfully, but it doesn't work

After being told that I didn't have flash player since the recent update, I have tried many times to successfully update.  Even after I was able to successfully update, after restarting my computer I am still told that I do not have flash player installed.  HELP!

    With WIndows 8? Epidemic.
With WIndows 7? Not so common, but I'm seeing more and more of it.
    Here's the trouble:  "User-Agent Strings"
That doesn't mean a lot, I'm sure, but it's the root of your problems, and Flash Player has nothing to do with it.
Microsoft "rewrote" the User-Agent Strings for the abomination they call their latest and greatest browser. User-Agent Strings are what websites use to identify the browser you're using and provide the proper content for it's browser engine, like ActiveX stuff, and Flash or HTML5 video. Thanks to the geniuses in Redmond, WA, the User-Agent Strings for IE11 (which has a Trident engine), ID it as either "Gecko" (Firefox) or "Webkit" (Chrome). Problem is: when the site the directs to the content for one of these two engines, the Trident engine in IE can't intepret it and the site then sees IE as an "unidentified" browser.
The problem with an unidentified browser is that the plug-ins in that browser aren't recognized either, so even though you're up to date, it says you need the latest Flash Player when you use IE11. YouTube... has converted to HTML5 video so if it doesn't detect Flash Player, it can display HTML5 (MP4) video which requires no plug-in to play. Facebook can't do that, because HTML5 doesn't apply to games... only video.
Microsoft has no plans to "fix" the mess thay've created because they think it's a great idea to block you out of the websites you visit.
They recommend using "Compatibility View" and pretending that you're using an older verison of IE... Problem with that is that it's seen limited success, and you have to enable it for EVERY page that has problems... individually.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

I have installed the latest version of Flash using the installer on the Adobe website and no errors occur during installation.  However, when installation is complete, I still can't use websites that require Flash (I am prompted to go install Flash).  Even the troubleshooter on the Adobe site says that I don't have Flash installed when I check it in the first step.  I am running Windows 7 (64-bit) and Internet Explorer 11 (I downloaded and tried Firefox and got the same results).  Please help.  Thanks.

  • Flash 8  My Fading Text Doesn't Work

I am quite a novice flash user so this maybe a really basic
question. I have created a flash file where I have text fading in
and then fading out. I created my text, coverted to symbol and then
set the alpha to 0%, then in a later key frame set it to 100% and
added the tween. Now it works perfectly when I hit enter and test
the movie in the workspace... although, when I go to CONTROL/TEST
MOVIE or I publish it, the text just sits there absolutely static
while all my other bits go on around it.
What is wrong? Any help would be much appreciated!

You use Dynamic text instead of STATIC.
The ENTER is not the right way to preview content, it's
    barely to check timeline
animation, so you can't rely on it. Export Preview is the
    only way for full
    functionality test.

  • Published navigation bar doesn't work- any suggestions greatly appreciated

As a recent purchaser of the software, I moved my whole blog to the site, impressed with its functionality and ease of use. To my dismay, the navigation bar when you visit the site on virtually every computer (especially PC’s) doesn’t seem to work. The first few pages are active but the last ones do not seem to have hyperlink activity- they do on some of the other pages but not from the landing site. Do you have any thoughts around how to rectify this? They are live in iWeb, but once I publish, they don’t work.

I have turned off (disabled) what plugins I had running and

and tried to download again and still nothing. Does anyone else
have any suggestions? This is really upsetting me because I can't

Try searching your registry for Flash9.ocx to make sure it
    registered right.
    Check for:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{1171A62F-05D2-11D1-83FC-00A0C9089C5A}\InprocServer32
    (Default) C:\WINDOWS\system32\macromed\flash\
    Flash9.ocx

If yours says Flash7.ocx or some other number, the installer
    didn't update your registry properly.
