Flash chart minimum value

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to edit the xml for a horizontal 2d column chart and I've set the minimum value to 20 and the maximum to 40. The chart still starts at zero however, is this a limitation of the anychart implement ion in apex or am I doing something wrong?
kind regards,
Kieran

Hello,
Hello,
The minimum value that can't be set, seems to be a bug in Anychart 3. It's fixed in Anychart 4.
I did quiet some testing on it, the maximum you can set, but the minimum doesn't work in Anychart 3.

Dimitri

  • Flash Chart : Percentage values in the pie chart and  values in the legend

    Hi All,
    Query is :
    SELECT null link
    ,GN.region Region
    ,ROUND(100*ratio_to_report(COUNT(DISTINCT GN.submittedbyemail)) over (),2) value
    FROM goodnews_stories GN
    GROUP BY GN.region
    I use the above query to display the flash pie chart percentage values.
    The values are displayed in percentage in legend as well as on the chart.
    I need to display the values in the legend and percentage values in the chart.
    How this can be achieved ?
    Regards,
    Archana

    Hello,
    Can we do this using apex? I have observed in legend as well as on chart it displays the same values which are generated by the sql query.

  • Tip: Flash Chart without values displayed

    Hi people,
    I have no question but a Tip.
    Some weeks ago I was lokking for a possibility to get a Stacked Bar Flash Chart.
    At first I have choosen the 2D-Chart. But in this Chart the values are always be displayed and by using the XML-settings and the CSS-Settings it wasn't possible to hide the displayed values. The values are always displaed in a way like this: value 2.123243. In every bar and in every different area of the bars.
    So I was playing around some days to hide the values and I was almost was getting mad and my boß was getzting angry about it...
    But the next day I tried the 3D-Charts to see what will happen... and that's it! The Charts will be displayed in exactly that wayI need.
    So my Tip: If you need nice Charts good to use, please take the 3D-Charts. Thats works.
    And if you want to see whats going on with Flash Charts in APEX 4.0 take a look an [http://www.anychart.com]
    Thats really nice! I'm really impatiently waiting for it!!!!
    Have a nice eve!

    P.S.: Thanx for all Bernhard and Maik! :D

    This is not a question! :-)

    I have someone that was able to remove the value from showing on the 2d stacked bar graphs but they don't remember how they did it. Ever since they they found out they just copy the same graph. I tried the same in another schema and could not get the same result. I compared the xml, the chart template and could not find out how they hid the values. I don't like the 3d as the colors look much nicer to 2d. any suggestions.

  • Flash Chart Legend

    I have built a 2D Line Flash chart with 6 series. My problem is that the legend shows the word "Value". Does anyone know how to make the legend display the series name instead.
    Jeff

    Varad,
    Thank you for your reply but your answer does not appear to be the solution I need. This SQL statement below used in a SVG Chart yields a legend using the series name. The same SQL statemnet used in a Flash Chart yields "Value" as the series name. Why?
    <pre>
    SELECT NULL link,
    to_char (minipay_detail_vw.event_dt, 'YYYY, MM') AS label,
    sum (minipay_detail_vw.contract_pay_amt) AS value
    FROM [email protected]
    WHERE minipay_detail_vw.object_class_cd = '018'
    AND to_char (minipay_detail_vw.event_dt, 'YYYYMM') <
    to_char (sysdate, 'YYYYMM')
    AND financial_organization_cd IN
    ('1650', '1655', '1660', '1665', '1670')
    AND (:p337_fy = '%null%' OR minipay_detail_vw.fiscal_year = :p337_fy)
    GROUP BY to_char (minipay_detail_vw.event_dt, 'YYYY, MM')
    ORDER BY to_char (minipay_detail_vw.event_dt, 'YYYY, MM')
    </pre>

  • Apex flash charts with date values on the x axis

    I am playing around in Apex 4 using flash charts and having a bit of troubles playing with dates on the x axis on a 2d line chart.
    What I am trying to achive is a values plotted across the chart and the date/time values are not a constent (ie not continually say 1 hour apart) hence why I want to use a datatype of date.
    In the SQL below:
    select null as link,  sysdate -2  as value, 0 as label from dual
    union
    select null , sysdate -2+1/24 , 1 from dual
    union
    select null , sysdate -2+2/24 , 2 from dual
    union
    select null , sysdate -2+5/48, 1 from dual
    union
    select null , sysdate -2+3/24, 0 from dual;I get a 2D Line chart but each date/time value is equally space apart (ie sysdate -2, sysdate -2+1/24, sysdate -2+2/24 and sysdate -2+3/24 should be 1 unit apart and sysdate -2+5/48 should be half way between sysdate -2+2/24 and sysdate -2+3/24).
    I think I have to use custom xml. Using http://www.anychart.com/products/anychart/docs/xmlReference/index.html and http://www.anychart.com/products/anychart/docs/users-guide/DateTime-Axes.html I edited the XML and changed:

    Can anyone see what I am doing wrong or point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

    This will be a little bit lengthy answer, but I guess it will be easier to understand what I meant to say.
    I created a table that contains values you used as a data source (just to make my life easier):
    SQL> alter session set nls_date_format = 'dd.mm.yyyy hh24:mi:ss';
    Session altered.
    SQL> select * from test;
    VALUE                    LABEL
    12.10.2010 09:03:45          0
    12.10.2010 10:03:45          1
    12.10.2010 11:03:45          2
    12.10.2010 11:33:45          1
    12.10.2010 12:03:45          0
    SQL> alter session set nls_date_format = 'hh24:mi';
    Session altered.From now on, we'll see only hours and minutes.
    Step 1: current and previous values - difference in number of MINUTES
    SQL> select t.value,
      2         lag(t.value) over (order by t.value) previous_value,
      3         (t.value - lag(t.value) over (order by t.value)) * 24 * 60 minutes_diff
      4  from test t;
    VALUE PREVI MINUTES_DIFF
    09:03
    10:03 09:03           60
    11:03 10:03           60
    11:33 11:03           30
    12:03 11:33           30Step 2: a little bit of calculation:
    - TIME_SPAN: how many minutes are there between MIN and MAX date?
    - MIN_DIFF: what is the minimum time difference (minutes)?
    - SLICES: how many time slices do we want on the x-axis?
    SQL> select
      2    min(x.value) min_val,
      3    max(x.value) max_val,
      4    min(x.minutes_diff) min_diff,
      5    (max(x.value) - min(x.value)) * 24 * 60 time_span,
      6    (max(x.value) - min(x.value)) * 24 * 60 / min(x.minutes_diff) slices
      7  from (select t.value,
      8               lag(t.value) over (order by t.value) previous_value,
      9               (t.value - lag(t.value) over (order by t.value)) * 24 * 60 minutes_diff
    10        from test t
    11       ) x;
    MIN_V MAX_V   MIN_DIFF  TIME_SPAN     SLICES
    09:03 12:03         30        180          6There's 180 minutes between 09:03 and 12:03; minimum time difference in our TEST table is 30 minutes, so - we want to have 6 time slices on the x-axis (180 / 30).
    Step 3: row generator technique: let's create time values that are missing:
    SQL> select y.min_val + (level - 1) * y.min_diff / (24 * 60) val
      2  from (select
      3          min(x.value) min_val,
      4          max(x.value) max_val,
      5          min(x.minutes_diff) min_diff,
      6          (max(x.value) - min(x.value)) * 24 * 60 time_span,
      7          (max(x.value) - min(x.value)) * 24 * 60 / min(x.minutes_diff) slices
      8        from (select t.value,
      9                     lag(t.value) over (order by t.value) previous_value,
    10                     (t.value - lag(t.value) over (order by t.value)) * 24 * 60 minutes_diff
    11              from test t
    12             ) x
    13       ) y
    14  connect by level <= y.slices + 1;
    VAL
    09:03
    09:33
    10:03
    10:33
    11:03
    11:33
    12:03
    7 rows selected.OK, now we have 30 minutes between every time value.
    Step 4: join newly generated time values with the original table. Use OUTER JOIN; missing labels will be 0 (zero):
    SQL> select
      2    null link,
      3    to_char(z.val, 'hh24:mi') new_value,
      4    nvl(t1.label, 0) new_label
      5  from (select y.min_val + (level - 1) * y.min_diff / (24 * 60) val
      6        from (select
      7                min(x.value) min_val,
      8                max(x.value) max_val,
      9                min(x.minutes_diff) min_diff,
    10                (max(x.value) - min(x.value)) * 24 * 60 time_span,
    11                (max(x.value) - min(x.value)) * 24 * 60 / min(x.minutes_diff) slices
    12              from (select t.value,
    13                           lag(t.value) over (order by t.value) previous_value,
    14                           (t.value - lag(t.value) over (order by t.value)) * 24 * 60 minutes_diff
    15                    from test t
    16                   ) x
    17             ) y
    18        connect by level <= y.slices + 1
    19       ) z,
    20       test t1
    21  where t1.value (+) = z.val
    22  order by z.val;
    L NEW_V  NEW_LABEL
      09:03          0
      09:33          0
      10:03          1
      10:33          0
      11:03          2
      11:33          1
      12:03          0
    7 rows selected.Cool, so we have them all. Now, go to Apex and create a chart using a query from step #4.
    I tested it - it displays something which means that it should work for you too (unfortunately, this forum doesn't accept attachments so that you could see it). Now, I can't tell whether that's what you need or not, but - if the idea itself is OK, it can be adjusted (I hope so).

  • How to remove values data points from Apex3 Flash Chart

    Well going in point by point and deleting is certainly one way of going about it. Of course that would defeat the entire purpose of having this great programming enviroment that is capable of doing that kind of thing for us.
    Is your text file small enough to upload? Obviously you know what the criteria are for judging whether or not a data point is acceptable so it should be simple enough to program. Give us a bit more information and I can assure you there will be a race between LabVIEW experts to see who can post the cleanest, simplest, and fastest piece of code that will do what you need. My wager is on altenbach, but there are a few others here that are almost as impressive.

  • Access the X-axis value from Flash Chart

    Hi,
    Is there a way I can access the X-axis value from Flash Chart to populate a report in another page? My X-axis is not a direct column in the table it is computed in the query.
    X-axis is MON-YEAR computed from the Begin_Date column. I want to capture the MON-YEAR clicked by the user to populate a report for that Mon-Year.
    Here is my chart SQL.
    select 'f?p=&APP_ID.:18:&SESSION.:::::::' link,
    to_char( "VIEW"."BEGIN_DATE",'MON-YYYY') label,
    sum(decode(TYPE_Id,2,Value,0)) "Value-1",
    sum(decode(TYPE_Id,1,Value,0)) "Value-2"
    from "VIEW" where to_char( "VIEW"."BEGIN_DATE",'MON-YYYY')= to_Char(sysdate-100, 'MON-YYYY')
    group by to_char( "VIEW"."BEGIN_DATE",'MON-YYYY'),
    to_char( "VIEW"."BEGIN_DATE",'YYYY')
    order by to_char( "VIEW"."BEGIN_DATE",'YYYY')
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    Thanks Marco..
    I did the same thing. I found this info at Re: Charts and links

  • Passing values to iframed page with flash chart.

    Hi,
    I'm trying to dynamically generate a series of charts within a sql report.
    In my report i make several calls to a page with a (flash) chart and i pass some values to this page/chart by setting page items through the source url of the iframe.
    The problem is that all the iframed instances of the page in my report display the same data although each iframe sets specific page item values through its source url.
    (only the page item values that were set by the last call to the page are being used by all the other chart instances)
    So why does this happen?
    Are the iframed charts rendered to slow?
    Is this a flash problem?
    Should i call each iframe within a seperate session?
    And does anyone know how to correctly pass values to the iframed page / chart so each instance of the page/chart displays the correct data?
    Thanks
    Niels

    Solved my problem by leaving the SESSION part blank in the src url of the iframe.
    Apex creates a new session for every iframe now, the page items values are not overwritten and the data is displayed correctly.

  • 2D Column Flash Chart - Series Showing Zero Values in Chart

    Hi,
    I have created a 2D Column Flash Chart - with 6 series with different coloring of bars..I have obtained the result as I wanted.
    Now the problem is the distance between one series to another series is filled up with value 0.
    Anybody please help me remove the 0 value in chart which is coming between series.
    Thanks
    JP

    Hello,
    I guess you must have data that reflect the 0 value, no?
    In your query can you do WHERE value <> 0, so they don't get taken into account or is it the purpose to keep them in?
    Thanks.

    var ChartSample = new AnyChart('/i/flashchart_v5/swf/AnyChart.swf');
    ChartSample.width = "500";
    ChartSample.height = "400";
    var ChartData = new htmldb_Get(null,$x('pFlowId').value,
    'APPLICATION_PROCESS=FINANCE_020',0);
    gReturn = ChartData.get();
    // prompt("xml",gReturn);
    ChartSample.setData(gReturn);
    ChartSample.write("sample1");
    ChartSample();
    </script>
    2. Then created Application process with "On Demand Run this application process when requested by a page process." in PL/SQL Anonymous block

    ORDER BY YEAR, period
    I am able to see the chart, but I am not able to open or pass the value from one page to another page when I click the bar chart.

  • Flash Chart Legend Problem

    Hi,
    Im having a problem with my flash chart legends in Apex3.0.
    I have changed the name of the Series to what i want to appear in my legend - however the legend just shows "Value" for all my Series.
    Does anyone else have this problem?
    Cheers,
    Immanuel

    Hello,
    I need a legend like this
    No of Clicks('000)
    If i give l" No of Clicks('000)" as column alias, chart says Error :No chart data available.
    If i give "No of Clicks('000')" or "No of Clicks(''000)" as column alias in the query, it displays the correct legend..
    Would anybody tell me how to show the legend like this
    No of Clicks('000)
    Regards,
    Archana

  • Flash Chart Legend Not In Capitals

    I have created a flash chart based upon a function returning sql. The chart displays fine but the legend column names for some reason are converted to initial capitals from all originally being in capitals, eg "SERIES" now equals "Series". I really need the legend to display all capitals as it is in the sql.
    For example:
    The function returns a string similar to this .......
    select NULL as "LINK",
    WEEK as "LABEL",
    VALUE1 as "VALUE1,
    VALUE2 as "VALUE2"
    from MY_TABLE
    order by WEEK
    When the flash chart is rendered on the page the legend displays the two series values as "Value1" and "Value2". Somehow the chart ignores the capital case of the column names and applies initial capitals only over riding the original case.
    There appears to be no over ride for the legend case so where is it coming from ? It shouldn't make any difference but the chart type is a "3D column" style. Not sure if this is a XML question or maybe a Flash Player issue.
    Regards,
    Jack.

    I had the same problem.
    To fix it:
    1. Find a font that is strictly caps. I used Felix Titling.
    2. Edit the flash chart & under the chart attributes set USe Custom XML to yes.
    3. Scroll down almost to the bottom and find the legend tag.
    4. In the font tag for the legend substitute the font you chose.
    This will capitalize ALL the letters in the legend.
    I don't know how to selectively capitalize letters.

  • APEX 3.0 - flash chart using 'Omit label interval'- missing lines in legen

    Hi,
    we are using APEX 3.0 on XE as development database.
    Using the option "omit label interval" in the flash chart configuration, the legend will show the entries the same way as the x-axis.
    For example:
    setting omit label interval to 23 to get only one entry per day on the x-axis (we have one value for every hour of the day and want to display the chart on monthly base). My chart containing 2 series will show only the legend entry for the first serie.
    How can I display the second one ?
    Greetings
    Marco

    Marco,
    Unfortunately, that's a bug in APEX 3.0. The 3.0.1 patch set will include a fix for it.

  • Flash Charts - How to manipulate the #data# replacement string in XML

    I have a problem with the XML file for a flash chart. I am trying to display a 2dColumn chart of an SQL query with the general form:
    select null link, x as name, sum(y) as value from z group by (x);
    this generates multiple rows, which are displayed as a bar in the chart. So far so good. The problem is, that each row is defined as a block in the chart, but only one name entry is created "value", which is displayed in the legend of the chart.
    I can display the block names on the x-axis of the chart, however, I can't rotate them, so that they don't overlap in the display, which I would be able to do with names. I assume, that the blocks are defined in the #data# replacement string of the XML file. I would like to change the generated XML replacement string from the SQL to make each row selected a different name, and only have one block ("value").
    What would be the easiest way to achieve this?

    user587996,
    There's no way to manipulate the #data# replacement directly, but you could generate your own XML (see Re: Apex changing nulls to zeroes when creating Flash Charts for one way to do it).
    When you say "I can't rotate them, so that they don't overlap in the display" -- have you tried the Labels Rotation chart attribute, or is that not working?
