Flash charts are not displaying on APEX 4.2 - using HTML5 works fine

Hi
I have a problem with flash charts on APEX 4.2.
When I try to prepare simplest chart (Flash) I don't see any charts. on IE8,9,10 I see empty region and page is still loading. Using FF page is still loading but I don't see even empty frame/place for chart.
Other regions are visible but page is still loadng (on status bar I see message: "waiting for respons and page URL).
When I switch to HTML5 charts everything works fine (on newer browsers IE10,FF)
How to debug above?

If you think you're insane now, try maintaining those pop up menus.
As far as I know, these menus have not been updated since FW 8, so
they are at least two versions old.
Save yourself a lot of grief by avoiding those menus. There are many
other products on the market which do a much better job of creating
and maintaining this type of navigation structure.

There was another blog post by the fellow who originally wrote the pop
up menu feature, but I can't seem to locate it. Even he says stay away
from them.

APEX Flash Chart labels not displaying

I am trying to create a 2D Stacked Column Flash chart, it is month based and for each month I have 3 Columns
So the query for the series returns a result set like so..
'Jan-11_Col1',10
'Jan-11_Col2',20
'Jan-11_Col3',30
'Feb-11_Col1',10
'Feb-11_Col2',20
'Feb-11_Col3',45
'Dec-11_Col1',20
'Dec-11_Col2',80
'Dec-11_Col3',100
I want to display a chart where the first column of the result set is my x-axis and the second column is my y-axis. I have have created the chart but I find I don't get a label for every columm on my x-axis, I only get one for every third column, and I can't see a way of doing it, can anybody tell me how?

Hi Anil,
I have seen similar behaviors in 2D Column Charts. What I have found is that most often, for me, the issue has been that the chart is not wide enough. This is not specifically an APEX issue but rather a Flash issue. When the chart exceeds the dimensions that you specify for the chart, the charting engine must squish some part of the chart. Most often, the labels are what get removed, in my experience.
There are options to investigate this. You can make the chart wider in APEX and see if the problem goes away. You could rotate your X-Axis text by 45 degrees or so to see if they all appear. I have also seen the labels appear when you use your browser to zoom feature. This is a Flash behavior as well. If you zoom your browser to 200%, you may see more of your labels.
Finally, it would appear from your sample data set, that you may not be getting stacked column. Is that the case? If you are getting a single column for each record in your data set, then you probably have 36 columns on your chart which is a lot. You will need to make the chart very wide in APEX and possibly rotate the labels.

Swf flash files are not displaying neatly within table cells.

The latest version of Firefox (3.6.12) The website I have design now shows thick lines underneath the flash files. URL Below. The table of pictures should be neat, instead the cells in which the flash files are contained are increasing in height and breaking apart the table . This does not happen in previous version of Firefox, Internet Explorer & Google Chrome.
Is there anything i should be doing different when inserting flash files into web pages that have complex tables? Or is this a problem with Firefox?

Guage Charts are not displaying in OBIEE 11.1.1.5

I am trying to build a report using guage charts in linux 64bit using OBIEE 11.1.1.5 but its not displaying any guages. what will be the causes for not displaying guages. but other chart views are working fine.

what type of installation have you selected at the time of installation (Simple, Enterprise or Softaware only)?
If I remember well, there was a bug on 64bit machines with guage views if you had chosen Simple Install. This issue was not there for software install.

Charts are not displaying in Webi in BO XI R2

Hi,
i am new for developing the Charts in Webi.i am using BO XI R2.my requirements is as below.
Selling price,cost and variance are the 3 measure objects which should be displayed in the Graph (i.e Vertical grouped type).
i placed all these 3 measure objacts on Y-axis and Item name dimension objec on X-axis.
The user will input the measurement units like (unit(s)(1),thousand(s)(1000) and million(s)(1000000), based on this the above three measure objects should display the respective values in the Graph.
1) Units will display the values as is.
2) Thousans should display values in terms of Thousands.
my issue is with displaying in Thousands.
when i divide the variance by Thousand(s)(1000) the graph output looks empty.(i.e no graph is displaying).
I am very delightful if any help is provided in resolving this issue?

I have a cross tab in my webi report. and it is sectioned on the 'Region' dimension object.
It will drill down through Region to Country to State to City.
My requirement is that i have to display the Names('Region','Country','State','City') in the Section for these objects along with the Values present in these Objects.
For E.x 1 ) Region - APAC,
Country- India
State - TN
i mean to say that when i start drilling from Region first it should show the 'Region' text and the respective Values.then now i drill down from Region --> Country.now it should show Country-> India...etc.
So how to achive this in Webi Reports using the Drill fillters in BO XI R2.

Some Flash Sites are not displayed with Flash Player 9

Hello everyone,
After having upgraded to Flash Player 9 I cannot view some
flash sites on either FF or IE.
I have checked around with other users also and they cannot
see them either.
Although the page seems to be loading with title etc. it
remains blank or it shows a blank block where it is supposed to be
the flash movie.
The problem is that it only happens to dynamic flash sites
that load text and images from external documents.
With Flash Player 8 they worked just fine.
The problem is that it is our company's page so we want to
have it up and running for everybody.

When a customer's business website goes down after installing
Flash Player 9 he just wants the site back up. First I had to

uploaded

Captivate files not displaying well in LMS - Preview in Browser works fine.

I have an issue with a module once I publish it and load into our LMS. During preview and preview in browser it looks fine. Once it is published in the LMS, things start displaying weird. This is a software demonstration module.
This is an example of the weirdness that happens after being published.
This is what it looks like in Preview in browser before I publish it.

iPhoto is fully updated.
I do not have Aperture installed.
I also use a Canon 400D dslr. I have no problem viewing Canon's RAW files' previews in Cover flow mode.
But my NEF files from Nikon are the ones that appear in low resolution. Canon RAW files appear perfect.

TS3581 I recently updated my Iphone 5 to the latest software. Now when I connect to my car audio with the hotwire USB it will not display or play my music. It worked fine before the update. Is there a setting I don't know about with the new software?

I have a similar problem. Prior to the 7.0.3 update my iPod touch worked properly and I could see the music folders, playlists and music lists. However, after the update it no longer works - I cannot see the playlists, the names are blank.
I do not believe your response properly answers the issue at hand. If the iPod worked properly before the update then it should work properly afterward. With the response and link above it appears it is Apple's stance that it is the radio manufacturer to make the radio work with every update. That is backwards and, in my opinion, irresponsible.
It should be Apples responsibility to make sure that the functionality of the device is the same both before and after an update. If they cannot do that then they should make it easy for the user to downgrade or uninstall the update to regain the previous functionality, at least until Apple can resolve the issue their update created.

Chart values are not displaying.

We are in BI NW2004s SP11. Actually our web templets are publishing in EP.
For some of the charts are not displaying any values.
IGS_RFC_DEST version is 7000.0.8.1.
Can any one give me suggestion to fix the problem.

Thanks for the link. That one doesn't use the Flash player, so the problem must be somewhere else.
If you use NoScript or other security add-ons, make sure google.com or code.google.com is allowed to run scripts.
Could you try disabling graphics acceleration and see whether that makes any difference?

On the General mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
This will take effect after you restart Firefox.

APEX - Flash Charts No Longer Displaying

Has anyone else experienced a situation where their Flash Charts suddenly stop displaying and no error messages are shown? I am on version 3.1.1.

If it was working before then stopped working , the best place to start with is "what has changed?"
If your IP, hosting , protocols (read move from HTTP to HHTPS) or some server side detail has changed then you can expect this to happen.
Another possibility is that the swf folders were moved.

Flash chart doesn't display cyrillic characters

Please give me you advise to solve my problem...
I tried to write X-axis labels on 2D-column chart using Cyrillic characters.
If I set "Labels Rotation" to a value more than 0 chart does not display labels. If labels consists of Cyrillic and Latin characters then only Latin characters are displayed.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

That is possible.
The rotation functionality within html, if I understand it correctly, actually generates a graphic and rotates that rather than rotates the individual characters. It could be that this functionality just isn't designed for the characters you need.
This may be something you need to research on Adobe's website?

Why does AI Read(Asynchronous).vi cause the waveform chart to not display any history ?

I trying to create a strip chart for 16 channels that will require displaying 10-20 minutes of data.It also starts a separate vi to set gains and offsets while displaying the data. Using AI Read.vi uses 100% of the CPU so the second vi does not run. But using AI Read (async).vi allows the second vi to run, but causes the waveform chart to not display the history? I'm using LabView version 6.0.2.

I have a couple of questions that may help us solve this issue...
1) If you are modifying one of our example programs, which one did you start with?
2) What kind of analog input are you doing? Buffered? Finite or continuous?
3) Have you tried increasing the buffer size of the strip chart? This will allow the chart to store more data in it.
4) When you use the Async VI, and when you are using the other, can you describe how the strip chart is showing the data... does the data in the chart keep growing and growing... or does it clear itself and start over when the pine reaches the end?
I think this issue is rooted in how the buffer is being used with the two different AI Reads and how it returns data to the chart.
On a side note, have you considered upgrading to a newer version of LabVIEW? Our latest versions of LabVIEW come with many new features and it is signifigantly easier to use.
