Few Components in Visual Composer 7.0

Hello!
I'm new to VC.
When I create an iView I have too few Components in right side of screen.
For example, I don't have containers.

Trying this, but nothing changing. If I select Form Component, I can add only some fields type on it in Configure tab.
But I guided by [this flash presentation|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/30fc8ef3-0cd3-2a10-bebc-bc6b30f54494], and I have no a half of elements like in this presentation.
Maybe there is another version?..

Visual Composer 7.0 - Change the Y-axis from decimal scale to integer

Hi Experts,
I'm new in Visual Composer 7.0, my report is work fine, but when I want to show the data in bar-chart, the values on y-axis are 0.0, 0.4.0.8,1.2,1.6.2.0 but i want like 1,2,3,4.
Normally, this happen when values on y-axis less than 5, if more than 5, it will turn to 1,2,3,4. (which i expected)
Inside my function module, I set all the data as integer already..
I read through some suggestions in the forum, they suggest using 'Fixed range' and set the interval size, but need to include min & max value. But, inside my program, min value & max value has to be automatically adjusted, ie i can not set the values for those.
Please suggest solution for me, need it urgently..

I'm sorry but this seems to me impossible to do.
In general - not necessarily for this case - there is the option to create your own Flash Components and integrate them into VC, so you could overcome such limitations.

Flash components in VC

We upgraded to EHP1 SP6 to get the flash component working in VC.
I uploaded the BO flash meters I found in a PDF (/people/amir.mimran/blog/2009/09/11/flash-components-for-visual-composer-70--flexibility-is-the-name-of-the-game)
I can add them to the storyboard and connect the input fields. Only after I deploy the model the gauge meter shows up without the range colors and with the value 50. when I click on it, it changes to 0 but it never shows the value (10) I set in the storyboard.
The same goes with all the other BO flash components from the PDF
They seem fine in the storyboard and they look fine in the deployed model except no values/wrong values are visible and they doesn't do much at all.

Press F5 again to reload the page.

Problem installing Visual Composer

I downloaded Visual Composer from SAP Servise but I have not been able to install it on my laptop due to the following issues:
It is looking for a SQL client, and an IIS server.
Can you tell me what I might be doing incorrectly?

Visual Composer is internally using IIS Server as Webserver.So IIS Server is mandatory...
Meta Data informations regarding our applications which are developed using Visual Composer are stored in the DataBase. Thats why its is asking for SQL Clien.

For Visual Composer no need any Front end tools.. you need portal connection.. to configure your visual compoer.. the visla composer it self contain all the items.. just like a Webtemplate..
all the reports.. that web based reports or dash boards we can view through Browser only..

GP callable object (Visual Composer FLASH)u2013 update input/output parameters

Dear Sirs,
I have a callable object which is based on a Visual Composer Flash iview. In this iview I have two input parameters and two output parameters, and these can been seen in the callable object.
However, if I add another input or output parameter deploy the model and change and active the callable object the new changes are not picked up.
Has anyone else encountered the same problem?

Hello Nick,
You gave me the answer I did not want :=), however I think you are right.
This is not a very good solution by SAP and I think I will open an OSS to get a final answer from SAP on they are going to solve this.
You can not delete all the callable objects in a process whenever you need a new parameter.

Visual Composer 7.0 roadmap

Hello experts,
We have NetWeaver EP 7.0 installed with Visual Composer in our C&B and DEV environment. We haven't started developing with it yet.
My questions to you is:
What is the future of Visual Composer 7.0?
My understanding is that SAP has put a lot of energy integrating Visual Composer into CE 7.1. This new version has significant changes compare to it's predecessor. Visual Composer for CE 7.1 seems to be the way to go if one needs to create applications based on existing data services. In short terms, both versions will coexist. Bbut in long terms...?
Can anyone help me find the Visual Composer roadmap?

I'll stress the last part, though VC on CE is a great version, staying with the latest release of Visual Composer 7.0 is also good, depending on your needs of course, for instance - the attractive Flash runtime which is currently exclisive for VC 7.0, the "Flash Components" feature that was entered on SP5 of 7.01 (and in 7.02) , which enables you to consume custom 3rd party flash components or Xcelsius controls inside Visual Composer,, which makes flash black-boxes easier to consume than in CE, .. etc..
still - VC on CE of course has it's own advantages - the ability to consume clustered services, life-cycle management, it's intergration with the other CE components etc..
and so if you'll find that VC 7.0 is not enough, you could always upgrade and migrate to the CE versions (7.1 or 7.2).
bottom line - it's a win win situation.

ALV functionality in Visual Composer 7.0

I have easy question, is anybody know have Visual Composer 7.0 ALV functionality or no? If it have, is it concerning to BI models only, or it can be concerning to any models in Visual Composer 7.0?

Visual Composer design mode not avalaible, need some info

Hi Everyone!
We have an EP 7.0 with Visual Composer. I can create iviews, components but I can't modify size of fields, components on layout tab. The button "Arrange drawing" is not avalaible too.
So I can't drawing a beautiful selection form (on layout tab). Design tab worked.
Arrange drawing button error message: "This feature is not yet implemented"
What will be the problem?
Is it need for any requirement? JRE, flash 10, netweaver installed.
Could somebody help me?

Hi,
first of all thank you for your effort to provide this feature in 7.00.
We are running 7.00 SP22 on Unix (Sun Solaris). I was able to deploy the zip-files of the Xcelsius example components using flash component manager and use the controls in the storyboard, but when running the application nothing happens (e.g. passed value to the input port of the gauge control, but component is always showing 50%).
Is in 7.00 SP22 also an issue concerning Unix platforms as in 7.01, where flash components + SP5 only work on windows platform?

u have portal Url (http://abcdef:50000/irj/portal) .Right .
just Remove irj/portal in tht url
just type : http://abcdef:50000/VC(capital) -> click on Enter .
your story board appears there if you have msxml , adobe svg Viewer , flash player installed in your syetm .
Then Go to find data -> U will see there Sytem aliases u have created in portal -> just select your system alias name there -> then go to > Serach bewow -> type your bapi name -> clik on search your bapi name appears there . -> just Drag the Bapi to Story Board .
u can design your application accodring your requirement .

Visual Composer 7.0 and LoadRunner VueGen

Has anyone been able to make Visual Composer 7.0 work with Vuegen (v8.1 FP3)? Running on NW04s SPS10 J2EE and Portal. The model is rather simple it executes an ABAP BAPI and returns Exchange rate data. Works great in the browser with no issue.
VueGen receives the data (seen in the playback), but then has a fatal issue, with message = Fatal Communications error, cannot retrieve the data. The https is definitely working Ethereal proves that. VueGen always works a little differently than the IE6 browser based on Ethereal (that's a mystery).
Anyway, I am guessing that the Web-HTML and Web-SAP Protocols simply cannot handle the Flash bytecode that is streamed back to the Vuegen process. It must be trying to do something with it, and failing.
Any ideas or success stories with Visual Composer 7 / Flash (not WebDynPro), and Vuegen would be greatly appreciated? And if you are about to try it , good luck.

From what I understand you are talking about recording Flex applications and not VC design time, right?
If so, I do remember having some problem with VUGen. I think that what helped me was using the option of using the old recording engine. This can be set in VUGen-> Recording Options->Advances->Recording Engine.
Also, I don't think you need the SAP-WEB, just use the Regular Web-HTTP.
After you record should see web_custom_request going to "com.sap.visualcomposer.vcbroker". I would put some web_reg_find before these requests and supply some expected returned data to search for.
