FLASH CONTENT PROBLEM

Hi
I have a dvd rom that contains flash content, the new version of QT doesn't allow to see this content now, what can i do to get around this ?
Thanks for your help

If the content on the DVD contains "Flash" video tracks you're out of luck as version 7.3.1 has removed support because of security concerns.
Try the free Real Player app (it can play most QuickTime formats).

  • Problem with changing flash content - Need help

I need help in changing  the flash content. Here is my proble,
    1) I bought a flash template (I will call this Original) from a website and paid some money to customize my menu, logo and background color.
    2) After they finished it they sent me several files. Like 1) index.html, .swf, psd, .fla. In all the files .html,.swf (the video) and .psd I am seeing my customize changes (logo, menu and background color). But the .fla file they sent me is still shows everything from original template. It doesn't have my logo, menu or background color.
    3) I asked their technical support and they walk me through. a) Open the .fla file in flash pro. b) Change the content c) Hit Ctrl+Enter and it will export the new .swf file to the flash folder. d) Make sure I delete the video from flash folder and replace the name with the one I created.
I did all these steps. But the problem is the .SWF that i generated is showing everything from the orignal template. It did change the content but I don't see any of my customize request. (Menu, logo or color)
    4) Then I open the index.html and I DID NOT see any of the changes in the content.
My feeling is they did not provide me the correct .FLA file. I really need your help.
My confusion is a) Have they provide me the correct .FLA file or I am doing something wrong. b) When I generated the new .swf video and renamed it properly why it didn't reflect in the index.html file.
I am really going back and forth with them since last 15 days and its not going anywhere. I really appreciate any help.
    Thanks,
    Jessy

Unfortunately, if you have not enough knowledge about using Flash, and do not want to pay to have this done for you, the folks who did this for you are likely going to be the only ones who can help you resolve it.  They should be able to provide the edited fla and the new swf if they are in any way a credible/reliable business.... which at this point sounds like they are not.

  • Flash Content Height Problem

in the Strip dynamic text.... Well, i am duplicating the MovieClip
to generate some more clips,,, upto some points it s working
fine(With the same Code no change in the GUI also)
If the _y position exceed 4000 it creates problem, i can able

  • Flash content .. BIG PROBLEMS.

Flash player version : WIN  10,0,45,2
    Windows 7 64x
Firefox 3.6.3, with all the needed plug ins.
    Windows  firewall
    Ad Block Plus
Some sites work fine for flash video, others,  nothing. Page loads , no video or sound.
I have tried uninstalling flash with  the uninstaller, and reinstalling several times, no joy.
I use ccleaner to clear my cache and temp files often.
    youtube  works.
    Sites  like
    http://watch.discoverychannel.ca/i-could-do-that/i-could-do-that/#clip304469
    neatmovies,  myfreecams, camvoice
many flash greating cards, games will not.
The web is  ever growing to flash content, and it is a big nusens for me that I am  not able to view many of the sites.
I should also mention that flash was  working always in the past. I have the FF plug ins. Flash stopped  working 100% after the latest version.
Odd however that I have a  32x XP machine with the same version of FF and it will work without  problems.
I  have been trying to solve this for well over a month, and I have not  found a solution. I am not going to format my machine as I am sure that  is not the problem.
I see I am not the only one with problems, but no one simple fix.

    shockwave player version 11.
    11.5.7r609
I will let you know how it goes. NOTHING NEW TO REPORT YET, just a real pain ... sites I want to visit, but no point because of this problem

  • One Domain user have problem seeing flash Content.

    Hallo.
Im a IT student in a small company (around 100 domain users). We are using windows 7 and the latest Flash version (12.0.0.38). We are using Internet explore 11.
All the users in our domain have same rights. But one of them have a flash problem. He cant see flash on his userprofile. It prompt him with the message "You need to install flash version 10.1 or higher.....". I tried all kind of stuff and fixes from your forum. Registry, clear Internet explore cashe, Settings updating internet explore, downgrading it. uninstalling/installing flash like 10 times, but nothing seems to work. Mozilla dont work either, the only way he can see flash content is from Google Chrome browser, and we dont support that.
If i open Internet Explore as administrator its fine, so the computer know its there, but something is blocking flash or something for him as a user.
"His" the only problem. Any idea?
    thanks
    -Jimmi Olesen

If he's sending to users in the same Exchange organization and having this issue, I suggest checking to see if he's configured as an IAMP or POP connection in Outlook.  Internal delivery should never be marked as spam.  If he does have an IMAP
or POP connection, change it to an Exchange connection, preferably on cached mode.
If it's to external recipients, though, the recipient will need to add this person's address to their trusted senders list.  The sending organization can't change how a receiving organization is going to handle their email.

  • Problems printing flash content

I'm having problems when trying to print a web page with flash content. Its a .NET system that has a Master Page and a graph generated in flash. When I print the page, only the Master Page's content appears. If I click on the print context menu, only the flash graph appears. What I need is both of them printed, Master Page and the graph.
    Regards,
    Bernardo

This is a HUGE problem. It has been a problem for some time - several of the issues are marked as "resolved" but with no indication of how they were resolved or in which version they were resolved. In any event this is an old problem that has been made much worse by version 10.1. Previously I experienced the problem in all browsers except IE, so I always had the option of going to IE to print (clumsy but workable). Since Version 10.1, printing from IE doesn't work either - most browsers show a blank where the Flash content should be, while IE shows the content scaled to ~ 10% actual size.
Please don't advise me to go back to version 9 - the Flash Player version I use is pushed by my organization's IT dept. so I now have no work-around.

  • I tell her that I'm developing a flash content with as2 and I have a very simple problem, I hope you

    Hello, how are you?
I tell her that I'm developing a flash content with as2 and I have a very simple problem, I hope you can help me
I happened to create a movie clip and inside to create a scroll that is two isntancias,
    I mean:
in the first frame create a button in the 6 to 5 buttons and an action to melleve the sixth frame and another to return. (Elemental truth)
Now I have a problem. In creating a movie clip instance name to each button and in the average place the next fram as2,
    boton.onRollOver name = function () {
           gotoAndStop ("Scene 1", "eqtiqueta");
because what I want is that from inside the movie clip, go to the scene proncipal to a frame that is three in the label name.
    however, does not work.
    appreciate your cooperation.

  • Problems with loading flash content in firefox, chrome, and opera

Salutations.  The past couple of days, I've been having trouble with loading flash content on many sites.  In particular, many flash games on sites like facebook will not load for me.  Sporadically on other sites, flash content will not load, either.
I have no trouble with flash in IE9, but when I try to load these same pages in opera, chrome, and firefox i receive a "This Adobe flash plugin has crashed" error.  I do send a crash report each time I receive this error.  I've uninstalled flash and reinstalled it several times and it still performs this error.  Sometimes when i try to load certain flash games on Chrome a "the following plugin is unresponsive: shockwave flash.  would you like to stop it?" error and this makes the whole browser unresponsive.  I receive the same error in Opera.
I have the following browsers and flash versions:
Firefox:  6.0.2 with adobe flash 10.3.183.7
Chrome: 13.0.782.220 with adobe flash 10.3.183.7
Opera:  11.51 with adobe flash 10.3.183.7
As for my system, I have Windows Vista Home Premium with service pack 2.
Prior to upgrading to this new version of flash, everything worked fine in all of these browsers for me.
As an afterthought, I figured that I should mention that I'm running adobe flash 10.3.183.5 with IE9, which is the main difference between that one browser and the other three.

Thanks for the report.  Odd that IE is fine, though maybe something broke between .5 and .7.  Would you mind opening a new bug on this issue over at bugbase.adobe.com?  Here's a post that describes the information we'll need and instructions for generating a crash log:
How to report a crash with Flash Player
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Why is my flash content not working on my dreamweaver created html site?

This is a problem that's happening on my website I'm creating.  I created a quick test website to show you the problem on the fourm.  It's the same problem, and if you can provide the solution to this test website I can apply it to my main website.
    Test website on server:
    test331754952.net23.net
    What I did:
    -launched flash
-typed "test" and made it spin 360 degrees
    -published swf
    -launched dreamweaver
    -created a site
    -moved swf to site folder
-saved a html file to the site folder
-in dreamweaver, went to insert, media, swf, then selected the swf I made
-it inserted the swf, creating a gray placeholder for it
-re-saved the html document, at which point dreamweaver created a folder named script and 2 files, an swf, and a javascript file
    Site Directory:
    Scripts Sub-Directory:
    What happens:
-when I launch the swf on my machine, it plays fine
-when I open the swf directly on the test website on the server, it plays fine
-when I open the html with the embended swf on the test website on the server, it shows a gray box, then goes white
-In dreamweaver, when I go to preview in browser and choose internet explorer, it tells me I don't have new flashplayer(I do: flashplayer 11)
Ie also pokes up a box at the bottom that says its not allowing content.  When I click allow content, it creates a gray box
-In dreamweaver, when I go to preview in borwser and choose google chrome, it tells me flash player has stopped a potentionally unsafe operation.  When I close this dialog box, it gives me a gray box where my swf should be embeded.
-I've tried changing global flash secuirty setting and it does nothing
-I've tried visiting the test website on multiple computers in my household to no avail
-I've tried having friends visit the site on their computer at their house to no avail
-I did't touch the code on this test website-the code is exactly what dreamweaver generated

Can someone please help!  I've looked and tried prety much everything.  If you can provide a solution I would GREATLY apreciate it!

There is no Flash player version 15... as in your code:
    <param name="swfversion" value="15.0.0.0" />
For some reason Adobe thought it would be a good idea to target a Flash player version (15) as default.....which may be out a couple years in the future. Go figure!!!
If you don't like player version 9, change to 10 or 11.... just not 15 (yet).
    Best wishes,
    Adninjastrator

  • I fixed the Flash Player Problem...Here's How

Okay, this worked for me.  Whether it will work for you, I hope so.  Thanks to Duelly Noted for much of the work, and dumb luck for the rest.
First, you need 3 user accounts for windows.  When you open the start menu, on the top is the username and the icon you use.  Click on the icon, and it will go to manage accounts.  Now, make sure your account is set to administrator. Create 2 new accounts, and make sure BOTH are set as administrators, not users!!!
Now to make it simple, I am going to use letters to name the accounts.
A-Your main account, with the Flash Problem
    B- A second account
C-The account you want to use as your new one
You need to download the Flash installer, on both A and C.  Here is the link:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
While you are logged into A and C, you must install on both accounts.  Install to desktop.
In account A, download and install the uninstaller.  uninstall flash player with the uninstaller above.  DO NOT UNINSTALL through WINDOWS PROGRAMS! Run whatever you use to clean your account, Disk Cleanup, etc.  Restart your computer.  Log out of the account.   Log into account B, it takes a moment to set the desktop.  Then log out.  Log into account C, and uninstall Flash Player from there.  With the uninstaller!!! Now clean that account too.  Restart again.  Log out of C.  Restarting helps clean the old files out. Log back into B, and transfer all your files from A to C.  Then log back into B.  Here's how:
Click the start Menu, click computer, then click your C: drive. click Tools, click Folder Options, click the View tab, click Show hidden files and folders, click to clear the Hide protected operating system files check box, and then click OK.  Locate the user account for A,  where C is the drive on which Windows  is installed, and Old_Username is the name of the profile you want to copy user data from.  Highlight each  file and subfolder in this folder, except the following files:     * Ntuser.dat     * Ntuser.dat.log     * Ntuser.ini.  On the Edit menu, click Copy. # Locate the C:\Documents and Settings\New_Username folder, where C is the drive on which Windows XP is installed, and New_Username is the name of the user profile that you created in the "Create a New User Profile" section. # On the Edit menu, click Paste.  Log off the computer, and then log on as the new user. Note You must import your e-mail messages and addresses to the new user profile before you delete the old profile. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 313055  (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/313055/ ) Mail folders, address book, and e-mail messages are missing after you upgrade to Microsoft Windows .
Now log on C.  Then make sure EVERYTHING transferred.  It worked on mine, but as far as Outlook, or Mail, your contacts should be imported, and hopefully your messages, too.  Then unless you are prompted to log in there, you will have to reset your settings.  If you don't know how, contact your service provider for your internet.
If everything is transferred fine, then make sure A and B are logged off.  But first make sure all your files and accounts are working.  Since C is administrator, simply delete A and B.  Then you are left with C, and a destination for a working Flash.  At this point, clean and defrag your drive.
Then install flash on C.  What I figure is the Flash Problem might be code, and if you have Flash on A and C, whatever problem transfers with your files.  Without 2 Flashes to go to, it just gets lost.
This worked great for me, I hope it works for you too.  I pray that I didn't miss a step, but as far as physical computer problems, I am great.  With software, I am still learning.  But between what I have been suggested to do, and a little bit of conjecture, I now have Flash.
P.S.  Adobe support is WORTHLESS on this!  I contacted them, and they told me they couldn't help me without registering my product.  But you can't since Flash is a free program and there is not serial number, which is the first step to register a program.  Then, they followed up with 3 responses asking if my problem had been solved, or to contact them.  BUT you just said you couldn't help me unless I registered.  Then they considered my problem closed and that was that.  I replied with exactly what they said to me, and reopened the case.  You know, just for the heck of it.  Then, HA HA, they sent me a survey asking how the help went for me.  Oh, I enjoyed that survey indeed.

I apologize for that.  Here is the problem I was having:
With two particular sites, espn.com and ign.com, though I have heard it happened on many other sites as well.  On these sites, the flash content for backgrounds, advertisements, everything else would run fine.  The issue was with the video content.  On ESPN.COM, if I wanted to watch a larger video the length of the screen, when I loaded it the screen would freeze on a still image, and the sound would play but not the video.  On the still image, a white play arrow would be static with a white circle around it.  If I called up the Flash settings menu, it would be inoperative, frozen, and you could not close it.  On smaller videos, the box would stay black with no picture, no sound.  If I called up the Flash menu, same thing would happen, frozen.  On IGN.COM, pretty much the same thing.  Other Flash content would load fine, but not videos.  On the link to a video, a Flash advertisement next to the video box would play, but not the video.  Occasionally, an ad would play in the video screen fine, but no requested video.  All black, with a frozen Flash settings menu.  That's pretty much it, sorry for leaving that out.  But on every other site I visited with video (ie. Youtube, gamespot, etc.) everything would run fine.  But the two in question are a couple of the sites I visit most, so I was on a mission to fix it.

  • Flash content distorts when scrolling and switching tabs.. since FF 13.0.1..

    Before describing the issue
Please note from the System Details pane to this post that I have the latest flash, etc.
And Windows updates, are up to date.
    ==================================================
Issue: Scrolling distorts flash player window (Youtube, hulu, etc.)
Since: FF 13.0.1 update in June. (I posted on the issue under "badly scrambled images".)
Problem is still there with FF 14.0.1
    This distortion happens:
    # even with just starting the browser (so no bloated cache)
    # even with just only one or two tabs open.
And since last week's update to FF 14.01, I have also detected:
Switching to the the tab with flash content will "imprint" the image from the my previous tab on to the flash player. I have to scroll or refresh to get the flash player to show its content.
FYI, none of these flash player problems occur with IE9.
The advise from a regular contributor was to turn off hardware acceleration, but these did not solve this issue.:(
Solutions suggesting disabling all the plugins etc. have not solved the problem either.
So if you can tell me some other way to solve this, I will appreciate it.
    Thanks.

Sorry, it took me a while to give feedback for the suggestions you have given here.
(Please refer to sidebar on the original post for system details.)
I have reset the profile and updated the Nvidia driver. The version of FF is 14.0.1. But it still scrambles the pictures.
On top of scrambling the flash content when scrolling, it has additional problems:
As you can see from the attached image, another tab's content is showing on the youtube flash player. This happens when I have paused the video even for a short time.
I have a suspicion that the combination of Flash and Firefox does some weird things to graphic processing and memory.
(I realize that IE implements Flash differently, but they seem to have this right.)
I might just have to say goodbye to Firefox for a while.
    Thanks.

view any Flash content online. No error messages - just blank space
where video clip would normally be. Shortly before I noticed these
problems, I also upgraded Quicktime. I've seen comments online
about going into System Preferences > Quicktime > Advanced
    > MIME Settings > Miscelaneous. I was told to uncheck the
Flash in the list, but don't see Flash listed there. I'm not sure
if there is some conflict with Quicktime or if that upgrade is
unrelated? Any advice would be appreciated! Sue

I am having the same problem. When I installed The new Flash
Player it said it was installed successfully. But I don't see the
movie, just the (F) flash logo. When I go to pbskids.org to run
flash content, it says I need the Flash Player??

  • Flash Content on the BBC in Safari 5.0.6

This question applies to my G5 2.5 gHz Tower running Safari 5.0.6. and an issue with Flash content on the BBC News website.
I often the BBC News website, and until a few months ago was able to play all of their video content.  For some inexplicable reason their website now tells me I do not have the minimum Flash version (10.1.0) for playback.  However, I do have the minimum Flash installation (v.10.1.102.64) as confirmed by the Adobe web site, and, seconded by the simple fact that Firefox 3.6.25 on the very same computer does play all the content at the BBC News web site and fails to generate any warnings.
So, Mac gurus and assorted experts who have earned my depest respect... what's going on?  I have written to those in charge of the BBC News web site and indications are they probably didn't read my message past the subject line as they proceeded to ask me all the questions they'd have had answers to by reading my message in the first place.  In short, they asked me to upgrade to Flash 10.1.0... so that route is not going solve my problem.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks...

BBC iPlayer relies on Adobe Air. AIR 1.5.3 is the last version of AIR that supports Mac PowerPC and Windows 2000. AIR applications that require AIR 2 or later cannot be installed or used on a Macintosh PowerPC or a computer running the Windows 2000 operating system.

I am in the same boat. I cannot watch flash videos on the BBC website or on BBC iPlayer, although all other flash videos (YouTube for example) are fine.
For reasons that passeth all understanding, they work with the PPC version of Firefox, called TenFourFoxG5.app, once you have anabled plug-ins, as it does not natively support Flash.
You can download TenFourFoxG5 from here:
    http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/
Now for the intersting bit: TenFourFox, like Firefox, does not support most plug-ins. Unless you are prone to headaches (in which case don't) you can read about that here:
    http://code.google.com/p/tenfourfox/wiki/PluginsNoLongerSupported
    But there is a workaround!
Open TenFourFox and type in the address bar: about:config (no spaces) and click return. This gives you a warning that it might harm the application. Ignore that and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' and you get the config file that you can edit - with great care.
    Look/search (scroll down) for: tenfourfox.plugins.enabled
Set it to true. (Double click it to toggle it)
Now close TenFourFox, open it again, and Flash will now work, as it now uses the plug-ins that Safari has stored.
I am using Flash 10.1.102.64 in TenFourFox and it works just fine.
