Flash contente not showing on SOME sites

I installed version 11.5.502.146 and since then I sometimes get web sites not SHOWING their flash content. I get sound, interactivity but no image.
What is weird is that it works on other websites / contents.
Example:
Not Working:
http://www.behr.com/Behr/home#
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer.html
Working
http://www.adobe.com/swf/software/flash/about/flashAbout_info_small.swf
http://www.flashgames247.com/play/16065.html
http://www.gameshot.org/?id=5150

Could you try installing our 11.6 beta to see if that makes a difference?

  • Flash content not showing up

    Hi all,
I've created a Flash page in FL CS3 with ActionScript 3 that loads external content based on button clicks.  All the external referenced files are present and the movie plays perfectly when tested in Flash player.  However, when I insert this Flash element into Dreamweaver 8 and test it in a browser, the external content doesn't load (no error messages; it's simply showing blank).
All other aspects of the Flash element works (animations etc.); the missing external content appears to be the only issue.  Why is this happening?  Is there some kind of incompatibility issue between DW8 and FL CS3/ActionScript 3 that is preventing part of the ActionScript from working?
Apologies if this has been asked before.  New to both DW and the forum, and I appreciate any light you can shed on this problem.
    S.

Problem resolved, although I still don't understand what went wrong in the first place.  When I moved the .swf along with all the external referenced files from a sub-folder to the website's main folder, all the external content started loading correctly.
    Thanks John for the reply!

  • Flash player not working on some sites such as facebook

I uninstalled flash using the Uninstaller then installed the latest version. I was unable to view some webpages that require flash such as facebook. I did all of the troubleshooting that they sugguested on the adobe site such as inactivating active x, checking add ons, enabling scripting, lowering security, and deleting flash temp files.  I am still unable to view flash on some pages. When I click on the link to check if you have flash I can see the movie and it verifies I have the latest version of flash.  I have windows 7 and Internet explorer 9 Please help

I'd recommend first clearing your Flash Player cache and settings to see if that helps:
How do I clear my Flash Player cache and settings?
If it doesn't, please provide a url so we can give it a try

  • Since updating tonight 2-17-11 Flash player not working on some sites

    Hello,
Prior to updating Flash Player tonight I was able to watch videos on the following website.  Now, after updating, I cannot and get a white area instead of the video.   I have the same effect on 3 other computers, running different versions of Windows 7.
    www.rtve.es
Can I roll back to a previous version of Flash player?
    Thanks,

Just to close this issue.  The next day, without me doing anything at all, everything seems to
be working from this site.  Maybe the site did something to adjust to the new Flash version?

  • Adobe Flash up to date; firefox 9.0.1 installed. Flash does not show as plug in & Firefox states Flash not up to date. What to do

Under plugins, I get the following message:
For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Flash. Please upgrade to the latest version.
However, I updated to the version Firefox suggested. Flash does not show as a plugin. Plus, after updating, I continue to receive the message:
Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Flash. Please upgrade to the latest version.
    Running Windows 7
    Firefox v 9.0.1
    What is wrong?

The plugin check page only recognizes some common plugins that play media on web pages and not plugins added by security software like McAfee. So no need to worry about that. Just make sure that you keep all your software up to date, especially software that deals with internet access and security software (anti-virus software, firewall).

  • Registering a computer on a bank account does not work on some sites. I continually get asked to register the computer

Logging in to several financal sites (most work ok) results in a message stating that the computer is not recognzed and asks a security question if I wish to continue and want to register this computer (as opposed using a public computer) . The next time around, after registering the computer, I get asked the same thing. Seems like the Adobe flash stuff is not sticking for some sites. Any solution ?

    Hi,
You may have to permanently store the site cookies. You can try to check by setting the '''Firefox will:''' option in '''Tools''' ('''Alt''' + '''T''') > '''Options''' > '''Privacy''' to '''Remember History'''. If you are using a custom configuration, you can try to add the required sites in '''Exceptions''' on the same tab, and '''Allow''' and also make sure that if '''Settings''' below is active, deselect '''Site Preferences'''. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Options%20window%20-%20Privacy%20panel?as=u Options > Privacy]
If the sites are using Flash cookies, you may have to make the required changes in the Windows '''Control Panel''' > '''Flash Player'''.

Reload the webpage while bypassing the cache using '''one''' of the following steps:
*Hold down the ''Shift'' key and click the ''Reload'' button with a left click.
    OR
*Press ''Ctrl'' + ''F5'' or ''Ctrl'' + ''Shift'' + ''R'' (Windows and Linux)

  • IPAD2 not connecting to some sites since IOS update

Since the recent IOS 8 update, my IPAD will not connect to some sites.  It reads servere not found.  I'm trying to get onto my work site which is very important.  Now, my IPAD seems useless for work.  I have turned off and back on which did not help.  I have read that resetting it doesn't help either.  Please help.

i checked for updated firmware on the d'link dir-615 router back in september when this first happened (after the ios6 update) but the firmware was already up to date - although the last update was 2009.
    This was my first clue.
After further research, I discovered that all DIR series products have been discontinued by D'Link.  This means that when apple is preparing for a software update, it requests all software/hardware specs from wifi router companies like D'Link, Netgear, Garmin, Cysco, etc.  Since D'LInk no longer produces DIR series routers, they did not provide the info.  D'Link only provided info for it's newest line of wireless routers.
Leaving all existing DIR users in the dust, with a failed strategy that we'd all buy the new line of wifi routers.
Yesterday, I purchased an Apple wifi router, although pricey at $99, i plugged it in, typed the network name and pw want to use, and it was up and running in less than 5 minutes.  The apple router will recieve software/firmware updates just as my iphone, macbook, & ipad does. Everything is working perfectly, and the higher price is worth the convenience and reliability.
If anyone makes it this far, the only thing left would be to check with your internet service provider (comcast, RCN, etc) and make sure you have the most up to date modem.  some folks are unable to send text & pic messages on wifi using an out of date modem. (i didn't have to replace mine, but i'm also not having this issue now that i have the new apple wifi router.)
Hope this helps at least a few people out there.

  • Flash Player works only on some sites

Hey, ever since I've installed the new Flash 10.1 Flash has only worked on some sites. Good example is Youtube where it
works and then again on Zero Punctuation site it doesn't work. This only happens if my user account is standard user. If I switch it to Admin account (the rights, I don't switch to a different account totally) then Flash works on all sites. Why does Flash require Admin account on this computer to work properly with 10.1?
EDIT: Forgot to mention that Flash 10.1 works fine with Standard account on my laptop.'
2nd EDIT: Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 8 btw. Forgot to mention that too

    Hey.
I'm basing this on currently loaded IE addons. My desktop has more running atm. I can list them: Java Plugin 2 SSV helper, Windows Media Player, XML DOM Document 6.0, Free Threaded XML DOM Document, XSL Template 6.0 and Windows Live Sign-In Helper alongside with Flash. Laptop has only Windows Live Sign-in Helper on with Flash. The java is disabled and rest are from Microsoft and are well, needed to display XML sites I guess
I have Microsoft Security Essentials with just Windows Firewall on both computers. And I just meant that probably some weird security setting in flash or IE since something, like I said, seems to be partially blocking flash from different domain. For example, I know that a site "istartedsomething" has a video that is linked from Youtube. It doesn't work in that site but everything works just fine in Youtube.
I thought of that too first, that the websites haven't managed to update, but for some reason they do work on my laptop which has same flash installed.
On sidenote, for example http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html does work on my laptop but doesn't work on this desktop while http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ works on both.
    Whew, wall of text done

  • Why is my flash content not working on my dreamweaver created html site?

This is a problem that's happening on my website I'm creating.  I created a quick test website to show you the problem on the fourm.  It's the same problem, and if you can provide the solution to this test website I can apply it to my main website.
    Test website on server:
    test331754952.net23.net
    What I did:
    -launched flash
-typed "test" and made it spin 360 degrees
    -published swf
    -launched dreamweaver
    -created a site
    -moved swf to site folder
-saved a html file to the site folder
-in dreamweaver, went to insert, media, swf, then selected the swf I made
-it inserted the swf, creating a gray placeholder for it
-re-saved the html document, at which point dreamweaver created a folder named script and 2 files, an swf, and a javascript file
    Site Directory:
    Scripts Sub-Directory:
    What happens:
-when I launch the swf on my machine, it plays fine
-when I open the swf directly on the test website on the server, it plays fine
-when I open the html with the embended swf on the test website on the server, it shows a gray box, then goes white
-In dreamweaver, when I go to preview in browser and choose internet explorer, it tells me I don't have new flashplayer(I do: flashplayer 11)
Ie also pokes up a box at the bottom that says its not allowing content.  When I click allow content, it creates a gray box
-In dreamweaver, when I go to preview in borwser and choose google chrome, it tells me flash player has stopped a potentionally unsafe operation.  When I close this dialog box, it gives me a gray box where my swf should be embeded.
-I've tried changing global flash secuirty setting and it does nothing
-I've tried visiting the test website on multiple computers in my household to no avail
-I've tried having friends visit the site on their computer at their house to no avail
-I did't touch the code on this test website-the code is exactly what dreamweaver generated

There is no Flash player version 15... as in your code:
    <param name="swfversion" value="15.0.0.0" />
For some reason Adobe thought it would be a good idea to target a Flash player version (15) as default.....which may be out a couple years in the future. Go figure!!!
If you don't like player version 9, change to 10 or 11.... just not 15 (yet).
    Best wishes,

  • Flash Player 10 not working in some sites, working fine in others

Lately I've been having problems viewing videos with Flash Player on many sites in which they viewed fine previously. What I see is a solid black rectangle the size of the video screen. No Player controls. Nothing. I have looked at the page code, but found nothing out of the ordinary. The system on this machine is XP Pro with SPII, and the problem occurs whether using IE 8 or Firefox 3.6.3. The "about" display showed that I had Falsh Player 10.0.32.18 installed on my system, so I downloaded 10.0.45.2 and installed it, hoping that would resolve the problem. Nope.
Presently, going to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ via either IE of Firefox shows that I have version 10.0.45.2 properly installed. The animation plays fine in both browsers.
Today a friend of mine graduated from Temple University in Japan, The graduation cerimony was streamed live (3:30 in the morning my time). I could not watch it. That site was http://www.tuj.ac.jp/graduation2010/video.html The hosting site is UStream, specifically http://www.ustream.tv/channel/tuj-2010-graduation I cannot get any videos on UStream to open. All I see is a black rectangle. My friend's mother had no problem wathing the cerimony with Firefox on her laptop.
Other sites that worked fine recently but no longer ply videos at all on this system are Fox News and NBC News. I have no problem watching Al Jazeera news videos, but their videos post on UTube. I have no problem watching videos on UTube. BBC news videos also run fine, as do videos from many other sites. It makes no difference if I accept or block cookies on the sites that cnnot play the videos. What is different about these sites than the others?
I have read two related threads here, Problem  with sites not loading Flash... and Flash  videos not working on espn.com in any browser , but neither of them had any relevant help to my problem. Re: Flash videos not working on espn.com in any browser Re: Player won't startThe second thread concerned a problem loading videos from ESPN, giving the site
http://espn.go.com/video/category?id=3461971 as an example. but I have no problem watching videos on that site or any other videos on ESPN. Instructions given in the first thread said to delete several files from the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash folder, but I had none of the files lilsted.
Is there somthing in my Registry that needs to be tweaked? Is there someting that my antivirus program (Bitstream) may have whacked? I really would like to fix this problem.
    Thanks — Tony

you seem to want to do everything
you can to work around BitDefender
I gave you my BitDefender work-around to help you in dealing with others who have a conflict with Flash Player and BitDefender, not because I was trying to make Flash Player conform to BitDefender. When I first wrote in yesterday I did not know BitDefender was the problem. You've indicated that may well be the case. I'm trying to work with BitDefender to fix their program before their next release, and they are trying to work with me. If BitDefender breaks Flash Player, than it should be in Adobe's interest to get BitDefender to stop breaking Flash Player, as well as Microsoft's and Mozilla's if BitDefender breaks their browsers. I'm just caught in the middle.
The last thing you asked was for me to go to the Flash test sight. You said, "If you don't have the SWF plug-in, this test should tell you." I replied that all I could assertain from the site was that I had version 10.0.45.2 installed — no mention of the SWF plug-in. Did that mean I had the SWF plug-in installed? I don't know.
    You asked —
    If you have the Anti-Virus
component of Ad-Aware disabled, then why even have it Installedt
I found Ad-Aware to be an excellent spy-ware blocker. That's what I bought it for back before they added in there own antivirus program. Upgrading to the latest version of Ad-Aware included the antivirus program, whether I wanted it or not. I didn't, so I ticked the check-box to disable it. It seems what were once good programs by themselves now try to be all-encompassing, jack-of-all-trades suites.
I liked Norton antivirus when Peter Norton was the creative force behind the program, but later iterations created havoc with my systems, so I looked for a replacement antivirus program. BitDefender had a far superior antivirus program to most others on the market when I first bought it. All I wanted in upgrading to its latest version was an improved  antivirus engine, but like Ad-Aware, it has now tried to add in too many features, such as the browser toolbars. I have uninstalled BitDefender several times. The problems it created remained, leaving holes in my Registry where there once were entries, blocking Photoshop's licensing files. You indicated you had worked with other's who had conflicts with Flash Player and BitDefender.
I'll get that info on BitDefender,
while you are checking on some of these items.
That would have been great — really the help I would have used.
At the end of your previous e-mail you said —
You have several issues that need
addressed, so we'll take one at a time.
We never even got to the first one. The next thing you said was —
It appears you discount anything I
suggest or fail to give it a try.
I don't know what I discounted that you suggested. I thoguht I was doing  everything you asked. I do appreciate your taking the time to work with me on a Sunday.

  • Flash 13.0.0.214 does NOT work on some sites, but works fine on all others

    Hi!
I watch several wildlife nest-cams every day running Windows 8 using Firefox 29.0.1, but yesterday morning, (after I'd already watched the 6 cams I view every day), I started getting a solid, black screen with, "Error loading plugin: Plugin file not found", on TWO of these sites.
My attempts to resolve the problem were:
    1.  Checked all the other web-cam sites I view daily, and there's only a problem on 2 of them.
    2.  Went to You Tube, Facebook & other similar sites and I can view streaming media.
    3.  Refreshed pages-when that didn't help, I closed & reopened Firefox & still 2 sites with "plugin loading error"
    4.  Completely shut-down my laptop & rebooted.
    5.  Did "System Restore" to earlier in the day when ALL web-cam sites were working.
    6.  Went to Adobe Flash site & verified that I had the most current version...I do, & I saw the animations on Flash site.
    7.  Verified my Flash Plugins in Firefox...AGAIN...they're all activated & up-to-date
    8.  Checked & re-checked ALL the web-cam sites I view every day, (for, at least the 10th time), and the
same 2 sites are still showing the "Error loading plugin: Plugin file not found" on a black screen.  Even
though the video isn't seen the "chat" area is functioning, (I don't know if that's important, but I
         thought I should mention it).
    9.  I posted the issue on Firefox's Forum but no one has an answer since Flash works everywhere except
         for 2 sites.
I've tried everything I can think of to troubleshoot this, but as you can see, I've had no success in solving this "mystery".
As for the 2 sites I can't view, they are:
                                        http://www.pixcontroller.com/eagles/    And
                                        http://www.westmorelandconservancy.org/BlueBirdWebcam-1.htm
I've been watching these sites for MONTHS, so why I can't view them all of a sudden, well, I'm clueless, (I guess you already figured that out...ha ha ha).  I was watching the 2 sites listed above early yesterday morning, then when I looked at one of the other cams I view and came back to these 2 sites, I got the "error message".
I hope you have a solution for me, as I'm desperate!  I'm WAY behind in my documentation for these 2 sites, so hopefully you'll have an easy answer.  If it's a technical thing, please use LOTS of details, as I'm not very technically inclined.
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Best Regards,
    DogPal
P.S.  I just checked on another site that offers many different wildlife cams, & I CAN view the "Pittsburgh Bald Eagles" if I go through: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/pittsburgh-bald-eagles    I'm sure this means something, but since I don't understand this technical stuff I don't know what that is!  (I told you I'm clueless!)
Message was edited by: Donna ....I had additional information

First, thank you for a very good and detailed description of your problem; so few people provide any information when asking for help.
Trying to reproduce; the first of your links works fine on Firefox, PaleMoon, and Internet Explorer.
The second link only shows a blue screen after the ad (on the same three browsers)
What is your installed Flash Player version?  See Flash Player Help | Flash Player Help
Can you also try on a different browser such as Internet Explorer?

  • Flash not working on some sites.

Hello, I have an hp dv6 laptop. I'm running windows 7 64 bit and using IE 11 32 bit version. I have the latest flash version installed. I have enabled the shockwave flash add on and unchecked active x filtering. However, I'm still having problems playing flash content. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ok so I uninstalled ie11 and went back to ie9. Flash still did not work right. So, I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled windows 7 with ie 9. Now, flash works right! I updated to the latest version of flash and still everything worked great! Then, I upgraded to ie 11 and guess what, flash doesnt work right anymore! So I uninstalled the update and went back to ie9 and flash still doesnt work right. Now what? Do I have to reinstall windows again? Please help!

  • Chromium flash content not displaying

I recently noticed that flash content does not seem to be loading on chromium. I have pepper installed. Youtube videos seem to be loading fine(could be html5 I guess). But flash content on other sites is not loading. It just shows a blank white area(like this : http://string-db.org/newstring_cgi/show … ection.pl). Usually, a network graph should load. When I right click on the blank area, a drop-down menu for flash appears that says 'movie not loaded'. I have enabled flash player in about:plugins. Any suggesstions?

I understood that it is installed from your previous messages, but if you type 'chrome://flash' in address bar, do you see something like
    Flash plugin 13.0.0.214 /usr/lib/PepperFlash/libpepflashplayer.so
    there?
If so, chromium should know that pepper flash is installed and use it for swf content, but it doesn't work for some other reason.
edit. I also noticed from your /etc/chromium/default that you're not usin the latest version of chromium-pepper-flash so upgrading it could help.

  • "Movie not loaded" for *some* sites, IE9, FlashPlayer 11, Win Vista

Hello.  I am having an issue here with Internet Explorer 9, FlashPlayer 11, and Windows Vista.  Latest versions of Adobe Flash and Shockwave players as well.  Windows update is completely up-to-date and Java is at the latest version too.
When attempting to access some websites, a grey or "invisible" box will be in place where there is supposed to be Flash content.  If you right click this, it will say "Movie not loaded"
It does not do this for all web sites, however.  YouTube works, so does the little animation that displays over top of the "Adobe Flash Platform" under Products on the Flash web site.
However, when havingating to the "About Adobe Flash" web site within the Flash web site, the Flash does not display the movie that is supposed to show at the top nor the version box.  Both of these say "Movie not loaded" if right-clicking where the Flash content should be.
Other web sites like the Sirius/XM Radio web player and school corporation on-line software which teachers use to input students' grades to the master server with just show up blank as well with the "Movie not loaded" message if you right click on these web sites as well.
I made sure Active-X filtering was disabled in the browser.  I also went in to the security groups and made sure active-x was disabled in all 4 categories.  I also tried running the Browser in un-protected mode.  None of this made a difference.  Also, Shockwave content is not disabled in add-ons.
Why would certain Flash movies be playing but then not others?

I just went back to the "about Flash Player" web site and the animation at the top as well as the version number displaying both worked.
However the other sites such as www.seriusxm.com/player and the school corporation student grade on-line thing requiring Flash Player still show up as blank with the "movie not loaded" error being displayed in the box when you right-click the Flash content box (where the Flash content should be showing up)
I have not made any changes.  I also tried running in Compatibility view, no difference.
